Very disorganised. Long queue for security. Lounges not available so had to wait in another long queue for refreshments.

Perhaps the worst airports I've visited. Rude staff, to our agenestatoi control Frustrate, there are no words. Luckily we came early enough to avoid deplorable incident that would cost us our flight.

The airport offers the expect, usually amenities you would expect at a major airport. The airport can be difficult to navigate since the signs for airlines can be difficult to find. The board is clutter and really crowded. The worst part is the staff for airport was rude and unhelpful. I guess these social biases are unavoidable...

I have never seen a more disorganized airport, at the entrance you immediately find yourself in front of a mass of people in line because the check-in desks are less than a hundred meters from the entrance door so to pass with the suitcases you have to do the slalom . You try to sit somewhere since you arrived early, but there are no benches in fact you see all the people sitting on the ground or on the stairs and you understand why. I don't understand how an international airport can be in this state.

It has everything, if you go through security .. And you don't wait outside before check in, it's perfect.

A good airport, had no problems getting around here.

The UBER ban by hosts countries of the EU only solidifys the need to get rid of old politicians.

Small, with remote gates outside any terminal and making you wait in the cold for 30 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable.

It's small and somewhat disorganized but it gets the job done. I wasn't here very long at all frankly.

Really bad experience here. There was no park sign for car renting, we drove about 3 times around the airport and parked in the premium parking lot, and couldn t get out anymore, till then we still didn t figure it out where to park. We almost missed the check in time. Luckily there was nobody lining up for the counter.

The airport is very narrow and dirty, crowded like a street market. I was surprised by their rudeness and unprofessional service.

I put a star just because zero does not make them. The gates to Italy are separated from the rest of the airport and are placed in a shed. It seems to be in a barn with a smell of cheese. Bad experience, they made us stand in the queue inside in the heat, then outside in the cold. Vote-4 as the degrees that are out there.

Nice airport. Bring a good jacket if you travel by easyjet

The only good thing: the check-in at the security control was very quick (around 7 p.m.).

Departures take place until around midnight - and the ENTIRE food court suddenly closes at 9 p.m. at the latest. After that, you are forced to get somewhere as comfortable as possible because the gate is only announced 50 minutes before the start.

After that, depending on the airline, you can wait for boarding OUTSIDE (in winter! At night!) In freezing temperatures + wind under a corrugated iron roof that you can finally get on the plane.

For the largest airport in the country probably a joke.

TAXI AT A FIXED PRICE. It's good because the taxi has a fixed rate to take you where it has to, they accept cards, euros, florins, slots, just pay. But it is truly the ugliest port plane I've ever seen.

Check-in hall in terminal B is disgrace. Nowhere to sit, no organization. Everyone just standing and waiting. Big mess!!

If you don t know the language, you ll just get confused. Flixbus stops upstairs on the second floor.

Parking is expensive
But everything is tidy and clean

Bad connections to this airport. Service is poor. Stuff is not helpful in any way. Get your luggages takes more time than it should.

Modern airport, with one real and serious flaw: the gates for the boarding of low-cost flights. Everything is ok for the controls and the food court, but if you travel with Ryanair or Wizz Air you will be boarded at gates from A12 to A19 which are in a detached facility. A sort of horrible shed from which you can then reach the plane on foot, with very few seats for waiting (often not short).

Worst airport, I have been to till now. Least baby friendly, unsupportive and rude staff complimented by pathetic security checks.

Budapest airport is one of the smallest I have seen in Europe... Though the airport is small it's been maintained and structured well. The gates are near by and you need not walk hours together to reach your gate .. the security checks are also crisp and clean and doesn't take a lot of waiting time...

Pretty bad for being the biggest airport for the capital city. Huge queues and very very poorly organized overall.

This place is kinda Janky.

Straight out of a dystopian movie.

There is zero options to get to the airport by walk or with bicycle, you have to walk through a deep water ditch, muddy prhohibited construction site and a proper parkong lot labrinth as a penalty if you dont have a car. Shame for the Budapest Airport, in 2019 the only viable option to get to the airport is by a motor vehicle.

Budapest airport is very clean and the staff is helpful and polite. Efficient boarder control, we had no queue at all, despite the Covid health test and paperwork, altough we arrived in the morning, so that might helped .

Great place. I have always had good experiences. It is a pity that it is not possible to embark during the night.
Several options of shops and snack bars. Very nice Tax Free space.

I only like this airport because it has a priority lounge and the lounge was completely empty. Mostly serving alcohol at the lounges. The boarding area for Other EU countries was not not. Barely anything until you enter through the gates. Some gates are a bit older then others.

This airport is the personification of why I hate airports. Huge check in queues, only one bathroom in the restaurant area. I'm using braces, meaning that I need to brush my teeth after I eat without option. The bathroom was wet everywhere, no paper toal and super hot water flowing from the faucet. I imagine that the water is so hot to avoid people from drinking it and making them buying the bottles of water that are sold for almost 4eur.
Now that I'm in the improvised gates waiting, I would like to add that this is the worse airport I have ever seen and that I'm thankful that the weather is pleasant.

As airports go, this one is very pleasant. Nice range of shops, especially for last minute gifts. Clean and tidy.

Beautiful airport, very well organized and clean. The internal services of all kinds are excellent and the staff are very knowledgeable and extremely friendly.
The restaurant has a huge choice, too bad not all open at the same times as the first or last flights of the day. Connected with many destinations.
The only real handicap? There is no real direct public transport !!
It is unheard of that you have to rely on buses as packed as sardines and there is no direct train !!

Only tried the airport twice: Efficient security control and fluent system at the beginning. Its also clean and easy to navigate, but gate A12-A19 is administered by herding (!) the passengers in a big building with lots of queues and waiting withouth entertainment opportunities and refreshments. Lots of walking and waiting on the outside too. Luckily the weather was ok, but still very negative.

Today s check in managed by Ibolya Foldes was one of the worst customer experiences to date. Despite the fact that we had the right luggage dimensions on our check in tickets she refused and charges us for luggage penalty. The rest of the support members were also highly unprofessional. I will be claiming compensation and press further actions.

The airport operates well considering the circumstances. Counted more than a 100 flights on the display which was more than Luton Airport a week before. More shops operate and technology is more up to date as well. Camera monitors the temperature of passengers and sanitising stations are available everywhere. I was quite impressed!

Personally bored, impassioned, at night you can not buy a coffee or a water. The bar at the smoker's terrace is closed, the tables filled with empty glasses and misery.

Small, easy to navigate airport. If you fly to non schengen, then your flight will be on B gates, for schengen countries you will fly through A gates. Burger king is on the upper floor with kids playground.

The only cons is the distance from the city. Check in is always fast.

The departure terminal in 2B is tiny and when check-in takes place on several flights, it gets very busy there (queue for Wizzaira check-in over 20 minutes). We also stood for security for about 20 minutes. Toilets heavily neglected and probably rarely cleaned (maybe it's a coincidence, but there was no paper in the cabin). Then a walk in the cold to a metal / steel hall, where we are directed to specific low-cost aircraft (includingWizz, Ryan, EasyJet). The advantage of this airport is the possibility of reaching the center for normal money (transfer ticket - bus 200E and then Metro M3 for 530 HUF, or about 7 zlotys).

A very nice looking main building, but way too warm. In the food court area it was way way too warm.

The area Where the airplane landed was far from the main area and we needed to walk outside with no air con or other amities.

Cheap food, but expensive drinks. 5 EUR for a pilsner is expensive

Nice clean airport. Staff were friendly. Security was quick and easy.

I didn't get the Tex-Refun stamp, so I escorted me out again, and when I came back in, the security was checked again in the priority line, and the staff was also friendly. When I was using a duty free shop, it wasn't forint, so I said I would do the rest in euros.

Generally a small airport, however clean and organized. Main problem the lack of reliable public transport, as currently there is bus service only. For low cost airlines the facilities are unacceptable, as temporary constractions used and the transportation in on foot.. Better services needed..

Short queue at customs. The departure hall is modern and beautiful. Arrival hall is quite outdated.

I've been in a lot of countries, but I've never seen a country and especially an airport that was so bad !!! The staff rude, uneducated and arrogant. There is not even a waiting room, but you are over 50min outside in a warehouse-like area. Only 5 seats will be provided in this area. I say only a pity and never never never again !!!!! The country definitely died for me and will never see me again!

At Finnair, I arrived here at Nagoya AP Helsinki AP, and arrived at Helsinki Budapest AP. Because it is an airport under the Schengen agreement, it is treated as a domestic flight. Because it is a small airport, you can go out immediately. There was a taxi stand on the left side of the exit and there was a lot of luggage so I took a taxi.
Taking a taxi takes a lot of work (it gets lost at first), shows the destination hotel at the taxi ticket counter, and picks up something like a receipt. There is a taxi number on the taxi, and wait for the taxi (it will come soon). If you show your receipt to a taxi, they will take you to the hotel. You pay when you get off. It's very useful, but I struggled with this method. In another word of mouth,

The service is ok, and the service staff are more willing to answer your questions.
The boarding gate of some airlines is more difficult to find and should be clearly marked.

Confusing and poorly marked airport except tourist traps, to get on expensive private transport companies.

What an airport trash! All uncoordination and when you go to your boarding gate, it turns out to be a hangar where you wait in line and from there on foot to the plane. With snow or sun, you wait outdoors.

Not as big as some airports but still plenty of places to grab a last minute gift, or kill the time with a beer or two and a bite to eat. Easy enough to get into the city centre from the aiport.

Quiet and clean. It's nice to travel like this.

Have visited this airport a couple of times. Looks pleasant, relatively simple to reach by public transport and by car; however, baggage claim is often really slow and troublesome.

Bad customer service, unprofessional staff...the female at the check in counter threw a fit when I refused to pay a ridiculous $100.00 fee for a carry on luggage that I voluntarily agreed to have it checked in, since she told me in the rudest possible way that my luggage is two kg over the allowed limit. My first and only check in luggage was three kg under the allowed limit, therefore I was expecting for some more understanding. When I politely asked to talk to her supervisor, her face turned red, she got really angry and she began to pull her hair. I repeatedly told her on a calm tone that I will not pay the fee.In the end, she ripped the bill in front of me and ORDERED me to take my bag and leave. I have encountered the same impoliteness from various staff members throughout the airport from the security to the store clerks.
Who knows? Maybe they all had a bad morning...
Otherwise, the airport is clean, modern and has a decent selection of stores and restaurants.
Anyway, in the future, I will avoid passing through the Budapest airport.

A cozy small airport, good sofas after inspection, but before check-in you have to sit either on the chairs, but in the purged arrival hall, or on the steps, but in the warm departure hall.

Once you get through the security check everything is fine and clear, but when I was there today 5 hours before my flight departed it was chaos. The queue for the security check was infinitely long (I actually never figured out where the end of the queue was ... It went like a hose throughout the building. It was so chaos and I was very happy that I had 5 hours on me for what I needed They made enough money that people had to buy fast track tickets which was ridiculous for it still took much longer than a security check should take.

It's all a mess, the airport staff is tipped to get the most money from the passengers ... At any other airport, there was never a problem with hand luggage, of course it was and had to be paid for ... It's pathetic ..

The wizzair staff was rude and useless...the shops were okay.

Passes throw the airport several times and I like it as it's clean and organized. Free Wi-Fi is also a plus.
What the airport is lacking is a direct railway link.

The airport sign instructions are very confusing. We have a easyjet flight and arrive at airport from bus shuttle. There is nowhere we can see ourselves which terminal we should go to. There are 2 security check points but there is also no clear indication about that. We are waiting at one point but the queue is too long so we were directed to another point.

Every aspect of this airport is jikes - slow dirty expensive - aviod when possible

Horrible experience. One of the most unfriendly airport staff I have ever seen. Unfortunately, we had really unpleasant experience because of biased security staff here. The security lady next to the farest right X-ray treated my mother insanely bad just beceuse she is wearing a hijab. I have known the general bitterness of Hungarian people towards foreigners but people here -at least those who work in airports- should definitely behave themselves and learn how to approach foreigners, especially to ladies, if they want to receive more tourists in the future.

Relatively small and modern airport. Bus line 100E direct to the city from the field (900 forints).

The airport is small therefore convenient. Taxis at the exit are official.

Wi-Fi is free. There are also cheap transfers. Pointers are all there.

The only mystery is when you receive baggage. I do not understand where to look at the tape number. But the airport employee froze

It seems they try to develop at some point, but there's still room to grow. The whole arrival and baggage reclaim however is still unacceptable for years now, e.g. waiting 30-50 minutes for the luggage in a small and crowded area where is no possible to do anything (not even to sit down) has become common. It's simply below the level of an international airport of a metropolis. And this is the first impression about Hungary for a lots of people. Sad.

Penetrant Securities, had to take off my shoes for no reason and walk around on the cold floor in tights ... they didn't even hurry to check the shoes if my family didn't live in Hungary, I would never have said again .. .

It is good because it is easy to come if it is 900 forint on bus 100E
The airport itself is small and crowded because you receive check-in from 2 hours in advance. Large airlines know how many times you will receive them at the counter, so be in front of you.
