Malev Hungarian Airlines Review

New and modern airport 20 minutes by taxi from the center.

Everything was great inside but left outside in the cold and had to wait a long time.

House of horrors to sum up this Airport. Most of the employees are still mentally in the communist era. You are here for us (so we can be paid) but we are not here for you. Poor English of staff doing announcements, can't understand what they are saying . Lack of information and direction, in arrivals no info how to get to connecting flight. Rude employees asking rediculous questions upon entrance to check in line and stopping you from luggage check in claiming "you have time". If you don't feel like standing in a hot place and talking while passengers behind pass you in the waiting line, they will punish you with extra screening and take your name down. Total diseaster, never again via Budapest.

This is literally the worst airport I have ever been to. Had a nightmare at the immigration upon arrival early May this year. Only 3 counters were opened for an international flight from Doha. It took a very long time to clear non EU citizens. The nightmare began when their system was down . It appeared that their computers were not working. No technical assistance came forward whatsoever. Just made the 5 to 6 non-EU countries tourists waited for more than an hour! I seriously suggest travelers from non-EU countries not to fly in to Budapest. Better just land in one of the bigger cities in Western Europe.

Absolutely ridiculous! Extremely chaotic and problematic.

The airport is fine, but it's too late to know which Gate to go to. Then a huge queue to check the ticket, get you out, then into the huge hall where you can find your Gate for further control. It is cold in the hall More

Customer service is absolutely awful, was waiting for 4 hours, and when they did help, the shops closed so couldn t buy any food

Eastern Airlines is good at 12:00 noon. There are no 6-digit counters, so I checked in right away, and there were many people checking ticket and belongings. Duty free shops are located in the center, after passport screening, and at the same price. It took an hour and totally no luggage
