Very well constructed place. The terminals are easy to find and the place is very convenient.
During the current pandemic situation, the police are there to check your temperature and help you with filling in your quarantine forms. They are very helpful and systematic.
New comers would not have a problem navigating through the terminal both for arrival and departure.

This airport officials especially the police or border control police have definitely mastered the art of being rude they are continuously being difficult with passengers and are so unhelpful. After spending nearly 24 hours in the Airport I figured out the reason some of these individuals work 24 hour shifts and take 3 days off but not a great way to welcome people to the country

A terrible airport! The services offered are deplorable, at a great price; even if it has signs, the airport is very complicated and I had to wait half an hour or more after luggage because they had no idea what problem they were landing ... Those at the information desk only spoke Hungarian, which is unacceptable at an international airport. You didn't find a clean toilet there, restaurants where a small glass of Hungarian cola I don't know, I think, costs 15 euros! I hope I don't have to fly from Budapest anymore!

It s an okay airport. It s small, so be prepared that you ll be waiting a long time at the security. Also, if one plane is boarding, the entire hall will be filled with a huge line just for that one flight.

I dont think that they care too much about luggages and costumers. Loads of fake and liar taxi drivers. Be careful and ask for receipt if you travel with them.

Airport is nice. International prices, ie expensive. The staff was not always kind but at least they were helpful.

When you land the queues for passport control are outrageous and disorganised so prepare for a 20-30 minute wait as a minimum with people just pushing through as they wish. Baggage reclaim would be more organised if it was ran by Stevie Wonder, each carousel had 3-4 flights bags on it at the same time and in no order, it took me nearly 80 minutes from getting off the aircraft to retrieving my bag.

On the return leg it s not much better, don t buy anything on the departure level before security, go down to arrivals where the same items are the price. Once through security you are stuck with that markup on all items from drinks to food.

Talking of food I went with a recognisable staple, KFC, thinking that I knew what I d be getting. I was wrong, very wrong. This outlet didn t even put 1 herb or spice in its coating never mind the 11 it s supposed to have. Also the meat was like chewing a sparrow that had been dragged in by the cat and left behind a radiator for a month!

All in all a terrible airport which is hell bent on ripping off its passengers at every opportunity. Oh and don t even mention the duty free which costs about the same as the UK high street or supermarket.

Airport is all good. But at the checkpoint, one of the very young ladies on the staff was under criticism for the last time. Terrible impatience and phlegm. Not to mention the sound you can afford. I helped my 72-year-old father get ready for the inspection to put everything in the right place, and so on. Because for him it's not natural to know. For this the little lady working there has so arrogantly addressed me and us that they ARE TRYING. I don't think so
we served to talk to us like that. That if you don't help and don't give

Airport not too big, which is nice.
You can find everything in the international zone, shops and food. There are sockets to charge phones and tablets.
Bus lines serve the city at a good price (count 3 euros per person for the bus from the airport to the city center)
Small negative point: the suitcases in the hold take a long time to arrive compared to other airports.
By bus, it takes around 30 minutes to reach the city, but other types of shuttles also exist. In my opinion, the bus is sufficient. Bus ticket machines are in several languages and you can pay by card.

I wanted to know this country, but from what I read, I was disinterested.

Aesthetically beautiful, easily reachable by shuttle bus or taxi (recommended as they are cheap) .. Some low cost companies, including Ryanair, have their gate in a shed where there is no air conditioning

The landing was back to back, even the gate was announced 40-50 minutes before departure. They did not apply for tax free, because the staff could not be reached. Minimum security, at the entrance to the airport there is absolutely no check. In general, absolutely not user-friendly.

A very good impression from the staff. Big praise to all employees ... Oh, and the expansion of the airport (A12-A25) was a mega positive surprise, it was really successful. It still smells as new as in the IKEA haha .... It's a shame that the restaurants are not (yet) open, to eat you have to go to the front of the entrance hall .... It is a small airport, long lines form at the controls and the most comfortable areas to wait are quickly filled, but going early there is no problem. Also, even if it is small, it is a modern and quite organized airport.

Just been through security. Bag went off due to an item I should have known to leave out (although on the flight here they missed it, tells you something). My fault. However, upon detecting it they proceeded to unpack literally everything in my bag. All items, intimate and otherwise, were taken out and put in a dirty tray that others have used for their shoes. This included my contact lenses case, make up and toiletries. No warning given whatsoever. Once the culprit was found and binned, the lady carried on checking the rest of my bag and removing everything she could find. I think the airport management need to re-train their staff on how to deal with personal belongings of passengers in a way that is not unhygienic and offensive.

Confiscated sovouner of a used 50 cal casing, checked the website and has no restrictions of such items when questioning staff they said it's there discretion and they refuse to waiver it.

A rather repulsive arrival, the Hungarians are unpleasant, and very very unwelcoming. No indication to take the bus 100E and the staff hardly respond when we talk to them. Fleeing this city for Western Europe is much better !!

Food in the lounges is ok
Wifi is a disappointment. One can definitely avoid the smelly toilets in the arrival area. The check in counters are a nightmare especially for Wizz air. One would be advised to reach at least 3 hours before departure. The staff is not the most helpful.

Very bright and a ton of windows! It s also very clean. The staff were very efficient at handling the crowds. Not a ton of shops but it was still nice overall.

I will give it 3 stars for this airport! Check-in was bit of chaos! After that the security check and the immigration were quick and easy! We did not lost any sunglasses or any personal items, that is a blessing!

I still advise that you come to the airport 2 to 2.5 hours prior to the departure time of your flight! Just in cases!

There are so many shops right after the security and immigration check to make sure you go through them before you get to your gate! They try to get you even in the last minute.

But that may also be a good thing if you really need a last minute shopping!

Unfortunately, the security service people tower high in our country are the biggest peasants, disaster ......

Overall nice airport. Short walking distances, wide variety of food in the Skycourt and really cheap bottled water in the vending machines (1 Eur for 0,5l) compared to other airports. Check In Area in the main hall might be indeed a bit small in high traffic phases, but was OK during my flight. Security control is nothing Special, not really fast, but also not really slow. Boarding with CSA was good - if it is worse for other cheap airlines this might be in there responsibility. You actually get what you pay for...

The airport is really great, also the boarding was fast (usually towed). However, I am disappointed because I wanted to buy Winston cigarettes, which they had, but only sell for flights outside the eu. For eu flights, however, Winston cigarettes do not exist. I really don't understand that.

Horrible! The A12-A19 gates are inside a kind of hangar (which smells like a stable), damp and without seats or WC where everyone is huddled and without display or information. Shameful.

Been here like 3 times and this airport is nothing special but it gets the job done, which is what you should come to expect from any airport. What I do love about this airport is when you leave the baggage claim you have a mini grocery store and book store to the far right. They have almost anything you would be craving after a long flight. All for affordable prices also, which is rare in airports.

Seating on the top floor is yes. At the same time, there is a restaurant area, so head there. Time passes there quickly. Free wifi really bad.

The waiting area is nice, and I like that the duty free is small, but the flights are not very organized... They are late many times. Right now I have to wait at gate B12 for 1,5 hours, because my flight is late, and it would still be okay, if a squeeky voice wouldn't give me a headache after a half hour...!!! What the hell is going on with the ceiling? I mean how the actual hell can people work the coffee shop??? Make. It. Stop.

Terrible service and rude staff throughout the air port. Arrived 2 hours early before a KLM flight to find all check in counters closed for over an hour. Anytime I found someone to politely ask a question too I received a rude answer. Security staff was rude and disorganized. Cafe staff hate their lives. Only Burma beats this place for worst airport ever

Do not buy HUF at the interchangeX exchange (orange front) it says 0% commission but I just got ripped off big time. Get enough for the bus into town 450HUF and buy in the centre. 400 == 100000HUF??

Small airport. Had to stay inside the plane before the snow was cleared. Overall very nice people and had a pleasant time in Hungary.

Security gates were all closed by 1 family trying to get through with nobody around to help for several minutes. Gates didn't open until 20 minutes after they were meant to close, terminal itself was crazy warm, shuttle bus to the plane was massively overcrowded and stayed with a full load of passengers for 10 minutes before moving off. Flight as a result didn't take off on time. The whole while nobody communicated anything to anyone regarding the multiple delays.

Small, on the second floor there are several food outlets that close at 23:00. Sometimes there are huge lines for inspection, sometimes empty (this is in the evening). No one checks anyone at the entrance. I only fly ElAl, so there are always policemen guarding the line.

Security check in barrack yard tone, the smallest pretext is used to use the body scanner instead of common sense.
The checked baggage is opened and things disappear from it.

I don't know if they are under construction or what, but they have you hanging around some outdoor barracks waiting for the plane that is supposed to have arrived and where you will get on. It is shameful

Beneath criticism. This is not a European airport at all. The cops also sleep like these passengers. It's all very unfortunate. No seats. All in all there are no 15 pieces. Given that there are so many flights per day. It refers to Terminal 2B. But even at terminal 2A it was not a blossoming situation. If I could give a star rating it would be perfect.

Very well organised and clean. All employees greeted me friendly and were willing to assist if help needed.

I recommend buying the FAST TRACK VOUCHER. It has a cost of 1500 florins per person. To which it is very worthwhile because the rows to make the entrance to the boarding area are endless.

There is still room for improvement, parking is horror-priced, and the 200 bus stops in the traffic jam.

i departured from here a lot of times and even worked here for a year, yeah it could be better, i know my (then) collegues make so small amount of money (which i know is not excuse for things like suitcase lifting) sometimes they seem rude. the thing is i also found the waiting in the sun for Ryanair flight tiring and unbearable. alltogether the airport might not be suitable to cope and serve such amount of people arrive to Bp.
