You will find a variety of products from appliances, groceries, clothing, electronics t to camping , tools paint etc. You need a Makro card i in order to make purchases. This store have a bottle store desperate from the main store.
You might find the odd bargain here and there. Some wait until they have a sale on their products. Use to be cheaper then the sarge store back in the days but it's no longer the case. Would be wise to shop s selectively.

Bought a cell phone on-line in Nov. The code would not work. Took it in the store. The serial # did not match the delivery invoice. 3 months now still no phone. Past from pillow to post. Can someone in management get hold of me and sort this out now.

In the paint section they very helpful well dun keep it up by Dulux and Plascon it was on Sunday 9th

love makro for cheap stuff...but Ottery store is just dirty and in need of revitalization, compared to Montague gardens branch

My go to place to buy bulk especially for going away on holidays, there prices on cooldrinks, chips, porridge, biscuits are all 5 for a R100 or 4 for a R100 deals and I always buy the teachers chocolates here as well at the end of year like the Sally Williams brand they an halal brand, you get specials like 3 boxes for R100

I had a great experience the guy that mixed my paint colour was friendly and very knowledgeable as well as helpful. I was also looking for top loader washing machines only big ones in store 13kg and up that was disappointing.

Even when I do need something specific, I like to go here. There is usually something to purchase #spoilyourself

I had great service and was in and out quickly as I knew what I wanted

About three weeks ago I ordered a bottle of Glenlivet 12 year old whiskey. It was a present for my hubby for our four year anniversary. The order was delivered a few days ago. I was extremely disappointed because when I unwrapped it, it was a bottle of Glenmorangie. I mean what, did the guy just see 'Glen' and think "oh, this must be it"?

I called the help line and the man who answered was rude and useless. He said he couldn't help me, and that I just had to go into store. So even though I had spent R100 on delivery, I had to spend another R100 on petrol to go to their store in Ottery.

When we arrived, they were unapologetic, simply saying that they're not responsible because it's a different part of the company. I wasn't offered to be reimbursed for the delivery fee, nor was I given an explanation as to how and why this happened.

I did email them to express my unhappiness with their horrendous service, but haven't received a response so they clearly don't care.

Makro, you have lost me as a customer.

Lots of parking and good service. I visited on a weekday.

Large stocks like department stores, mainly bulk shopping in most departments.

This store never has stock of Mango Orange 1L .. they promise to order and just never bothers to get back to you.

Dont use the app instead of swiping your makro card...it doesn't work and causes delays. Otherwise, the store is well stocked, staff are helpful and pleasant.

Always a great place to buy in bulk, great specials and a really great clean big store with a wide range of products. Helps to shop at a store like Makro given the difficult economic times.

Was unaware that you need a Makro card to buy things from Makro. Non of the other stores have this policy. So I left my trolley and found a good deal on my camping gear elsewhere.

Very unpleasant experience on my last visit. There were staff members (they seemed to be temporary staff working on commission or as salesman) who bombarded us while browsing for items. Even after saying no, they kept on coming and trying to force items onto us, even for items we were not even looking at. No space or time to look around in your own time, which led to us just wanting to get out of there.

I like this Makro, it has generally got a great selection with friendly staff.

The service is outstanding, staff came up to assist me in several different departments and all were extremely helpful! Top marks for service and knowledgeable staff.
