A New York institution. Even if it is way too crowded most of the time. It is worth a visit and not just at christmas time.

This is the old flag ship. I like the wooden escalators. But best of all, I like the people who help you and the hidden people who handle your problems. One time i bought a celling fan in their "cellar". I installed it but it blew up. I returned it and was promptly given a new one. But before installing the second one I checked the voltage. It was 240!!! Wrong for normal appliances like a celling fan! I sent a check to Macy's for the second fan explaining that the fault had been with me, not Macy's. They sent the check back and said they were just happy I hadn't hurt myself. I will always love Macy's!

Simply iconic. You can find pretty much anything you can think of in here, the selection of clothes and the sheer vastness of the building make this one of my favorite places to shop.

Had the time of my life shopping here! No spending limit & such friendly staff. It s not like shopping in the UK, the customer service is so personal & it makes you feel much happier to spend your money in such a delightful store. Also loves holding a Macy s bag!

Dont like getting persuaded into buying things I dont need. Some counter reps can be pushy

Macy's has really fixed the store up.. and has a good selection... they don't let me down.

A very good place fo shopping, a not so ideal place to have this small a McD's in it. It gets veryyy busy during the evenings, even on weekdays.

Macy's is an incredible place to be in during the holidays. You could spend hours walking around the store shopping (it is 9 floors, each the distance of a full city block) but also seeing the decoration. Be prepared to walk a lot but Macy's Herald square is an experience like no other. Also remember to check out the holiday window displays.

Could not get a bargain here. Just my look. The place itself was very clean. Plenty to offer.

Great sale prices for labor day weekend and on top of that star rewards

Great discounts on popular brands, have saved a lot of money here. Highly recommended.

Food is delicious and the specials in clothing is amazing

Great department store experience. To be expected with the largest Macy's in the country. They usually always have some type of sale going on so that you can find good name brand clothes for a reasonable price. Fun Fact: show your Out of State ID and get an additional 10% off your bill.

Good store THE BIG SHOPPING MALL Every item is a quality item one must go . lovely place.

I mean, it's Macy's in Herald square. It's HUGE and it has EVERYTHING. Sometimes a little crowded of course, a bit in the pricey side, and generally overrun with tourists, but that's all to be expected. Overall, a great department store if ya just didn't have to deal with the other patrons.

Great place to shop but, parking is the biggest problem. Suggest you to use the subway to get here.

34th Herald Square is the best Macy's there is! There's nothing there you can't find.

The clearance was great ig. Service was good and staff was helpful.

The sale racks are not so organized, you need a lot of time to find anything worth purchasing.

You can find pretty good offers and discounts in certain days but there is not so much variety in certain brands as you would expect.

Incredible place, the large store in the world still. Vast choice of almost everything you can imagine. Original wooden escalators are fascinating (and still running).
Most stuff is too expensive to buy, but it's just amazing to wander round

Huge selection of clothes & other products to choose from. The wooden escalators on the upper levels were especially something interesting to see.

Also had seating on all floors which was great to nap on while your partner is dress shopping, even if your partner pokes fun because of it.

I went there to buy a pair of dress shoe. Had pretty good sale, Ended up buying 3 pairs. Plenty of staffs and they were friendly.

A big brand store which sells anything and everything.

Busy and some of the sales assistents were too pushy

I just wish the women's activewear section was as good as the men's!

Flower show was great it is on for about another week... but Macys is great 2

OMG when I say you'll get lost in this store literally you will. Its massive, 9 floors to shop on at your leisure and so many nice different clothes to choose from. I was in shopping PARADISE as soon as I walked through the door.

Very nice with lots to offer. Every floor is a different section. Friendly staff.

Completely overwhelmed by the decorations in this store. The top floor was like Macy's Ornament Heaven!! I would enjoy returning so I can look around when it's not so busy. We visited middle December so it was a full store, but still very beautiful and friendly staff offering assistance.

I love the Calvin Klein pillows which I purchase for myself. know iam purchasing them for my grandsons.

Very good collection and you can get great.I love that it has a decent place to change diapers.

Lots of fun to visit during the Christmas and Thanksgiving season.

Nice, clean store. The fitting rooms are wonderful, lots of lights and very spacious.

I would gave a 5 star but, I had to go several floors to find a bag. I went from 1st - 8th floor.

Biggest Macy s store. Huge collection. There is really nothing that you can t find at this Macy s. Very very big. Sometimes it s confusing to figure out which exit / door you actually came from. If you have a DL from a state other than NY, checkin at the guest center to get an extra 10% off. Don t miss it. There is a dedicated Apple store in the first floor. Don t miss to check it out.

We just wondered through this in New York City for giggles. People watching was fun and there were definitely some funny people

I needed a suit last minute and Sandra who worked in the mens department of the 5th floor was lovely. She helped me find just the right suit at the right price and the best fit;) I needed the pants hemmed the same day and she even referred a tailor just around the block, pjd custom tailoring & alterations who had it ready within the hour! Thanks Sandra for making my brief experience here a nice one!!;)

An iconic place. It's sad that the Internet age is taking a toll on the existence of this company. Macy's and the city of new York and all it ever was coincide. The thanksgiving parade and 4th of July fireworks......someone needs to step it up

This place may have everything. Prices were incredibly reasonable.

Huge department store on 34th street. Pretty soulless - feels a lot like an airport departure lounge! Still, if you like branded goods, there is a large selection of items.

Nice good service no one bothers or hounds you while in there and it's self serve fitting rooms

A must see at Christmas time in NYC. It's a tourist stop all in itself. But the shopping is great too.

Macy's is the worse department store here in NYC! I find that the salespeople lack basic customer service skills and knowledge of product. You can tell it's just a job for many.

If you're in New York, don't miss the chance to visit this huge shopping mall. Shopping lovers will be satisfied. Common people will be astonished. It's also a very good alternative on a rainy day.

Huge shop, loads of different departments inside to buy things, ice cream up stairs was amazing, christmas decorations only just being put up, would have been nice to see them in all their glory, maybe next time, we'll go later, but worth a visit

Amazing store and kids loved meeting Santa and having a photo taken with him.

Went there to buy pajamas for the wife. Very good selection. The store was clean and orderly. Did not have to wait long to pay. Only negative was the cashier could not provide me with a gift box. Said I would have to go to another floor to get one.

Very busy, but sales associate in the women's department was great
