Although Macy's in Parkchester is a convenient store to shop in I always enjoy shopping at Macy's in Herald Square, which has a bigger variety of brand name and designer merchandise

This is one of the biggest Macy's I have ever been to but the greatest thing is there customer service is just as great.

This massive dept store is more than your average multi level department store. It's a living part of the city. Part tourist attraction, part dept store, Part restaurant (well multi restaurant) complete with a food court of sorts in the basement, au be in pain on another level pizzeria that is pedestrian but certainly will serve the tourist population, Starbucks and many more. It doesn't just serve to come into Macy's, you need to experience it for yourself. If you are looking to be focused and be in and out, be ready to deal with massive crowds , tourists and your typical tourist trap accoutrements! The windows are definitely something to stop and see and Samsung has also invaded the space too! Whether you are looking clothes, furniture, luggage or more you are better are doing your research as this place is rarely not busy with people lining up to come in for their 10am opening.

Its a good place for your suiting, shirting and other clothes need. Good quality clothes with reasonable prices are its hallmark. Not only clothes, you can find home decor items, beddings, bedsheets and kitchen accessories. If you want to gift some of your loved one with memorable gifts ho for Macys gift card which enable them to buy stuff of their needs. You can buy beautiful jewelry, watches, beauty items and much more. They also house some of the fine eateries like Mac donald s, starbucks and many more. Moreover, it is centrally located and can be reached by using subway.

Always a good time shopping in the iconic MACY'S. Special gifts, everyday necessities, Weddings, Showers [Baby & Bride], or just browsing, so much to see now take a break in one of their many retaurants and power up to shop, shop, shop... hey, it's MACY'S. If you really can't decide, Macy's Gift Cards!!

The biggest store of America. You might get lost be careful. Yes it's nice to look around and try different things. Somethings can be on sale too!

Super crowded but they have a lot of selection and helpful workers.

as beloved department stores keep going out of business, year after year Macy's is still the place one comes for inspiration. expect product variety, often crazy crowds, sometimes patient and knowledgeable sales personnel. but why was the whole wooden first floor replaced by "modern"? or the steps of the escalators, for all i care?!

You can't come to New York and NOT visit Macy's! It's not just any departmental store, it's THE departmental store. There's a vibe in the air with so many happy shoppers, you feel like being left out if you haven't picked anything up for the missus, the kids, your mum and dad, the family.

Oh, be sure to check out the oldest escalator here. They've kept it for posterity. There's a restaurant in there, not to mention eight stories of shopping goodness that'll warm the Scoorgest of the hearts to buy something, at least for the family if not for yourself. Don't forget to play with the neat games lined up outside, you won't regret it!

Shocking customer service, just wanted to buy my daughter some shoes. Went to 3 pay stations and was directed elsewhere, finally gave up and left without the shoes. Not what it once was. People dont care, and dont want to help. Lost me

This Macy's was AMAZING!! It had EVERYTHING you could possibly think of inside!! Even restaurants!!

This place is great!! Has everything anyone needs!!

Amazing store. Mostly very expensive. Really large for inside Manhattan. Make sure to see the free flower show that is there every year around March. It is open every year for about 2 weeks. It is amazing. The store has woden escalators which is amazing to see. The store is huge and has many stories. Nicely decorated and organized. Go around and see even if you don't buy anything. Interesting visit.

Very disappointed!!!... Not enough sales assistants in checkouts... I had to go to 4 different ones to finally get some service...

The best department store in New York in my opinion! This is a store you can actually afford to shop in they have great merchandise and some fab offers. Love this store and don t forget the old wooden escalators and the keyboard floor -what s not to love! I could literally spend the afternoon in this store just love it!

This the Macy's I love. I'm sorry to say I've visited other Macy's store and the customer service in the other stores leave very very much to be desired. As a Child Macys 34th Street has always been #1...

The Santaland is a catastrophy. You have to make a reservation in advance (up to 5 days) and then you still have to wait for another 1,5h. I don t know why everybody is accepting this??? Last year they had an express lane and this year they just secretly changed that. Letting everybody think it is still the same

The largest Macy's in the world, as far as know. If you are shopaholic, you must come to this place. This store looks fantastic from outside as well as from inside, an entire army is working for you and all of them, as far as I noticed, were polite with me.
The shop is clean, well organized and located in one of the most famous places in the world. What else you can have for just a block?

Well worth a visit anytime but especially at Christmas time with the wonderful decorations in the windows and inside.

Macy's New York is the biggest store I've ever been in. What a place to visit even if you don't want to shop. Especially now at the Christmas holiday season! The decorations are amazing. You won't be disappointed!

Went through Macy's back in 1989 with my wife! We quickly went through most floors just to get a representation of the place! Beautiful department store! Something for everyone! Must see it to respect the size of the place!

I love shopping at Macys, especially when they have sales on. There's something about spending the day trying on clothes and shopping that cleanses the soul. They don't call it retail therapy for nothing... plus new beautiful clothes are always good for a boost of confidence :-)

Who doesn't love Macy's? It's a quintessential NYC landmark. I thoroughly enjoy riding the antique escalator.

Terrible, employees where lacking knowledge on product and where things were in the store. On top of that they split up their restrooms (because you know men and women dont shop together /s)and make you jump through hoops to find a Mens restroom cause oh wait the one they send you to is closed so you have to head 7 floors up to find one. My wife and I were so pissed we set everything down and left. Don't waste your time visiting.

It's always very convenient and easy to find the merchandise that is needed, also their shoes and intimate department are fabulous, but whenever I go to their fragrance department I feel like a kid in candyland , just that I'm in perfumeland ( love it).

Beautiful place to go in the holidays, the decoration this year 2019 is amazing and magical. Well every year its magical. I love to go with my bestie to do pictures and some shopping. Highly recommended!

If there was such thing as a mega department store this would be it. The setup is very modern and enjoyable. In addition they pretty much carry a lot of your medium to high quality mainstream retail goods. The prices sometimes can be higher than other stores with similar goods but they make up for it with sales and promotions. It also doubles as a tourist trap due to it's design, location and name recognition.

Macy's is a spectacular department store with such a large variety of quality merchandise, but occasionally the different sections are unorganized and have clothing scattered about on the floor. I do love the cosmetics section and I can always find an adorable pair of classy flats or sporty running shoes in the shoe department. Their employees are also very polite and never seem to get frustrated when I'm sending them back for countless sizes and colors of shoes.

Gorgeous Macy's! And it's huge! The bottom floors are completely designer brand items, with the upper floors devoted to more "normal" Macy's products.

It's my favorite store because its clean, spacious & most of the times they have my size. Also, I love that I can shop on Macy's site & pick up in the store.

I went for infant clothes. They have quite a large selection of items for newborns, toddlers, on up. Variety was what I wanted and what I got.

Their staff need more training on station preparedness relative to making customers aware of coupon savings.

Floor managers need to direct customers to other cashiers on the floor so wait not so long.

They are hiring!

I visited here because I needed a specific product as a gift. I saw it online and checked that it was in the store before going. When I got there I asked two people about the product and they said they didn't have it, all without looking much anywhere. I had to go all the way back to Queens to another Macy's that had the product listed as ready for pickup and they showed me on the computer that they had 8 of the product and that the Herald Square location had 33 of the product and even printed out a copy of the listing. I spent an hour and a half doing something that should have only take half an hour and had to waste an extra subway fare.

Huge variety in clothes styles ; lots of appealing discounts; it is not just a shop ( talking about the one in Manhattan) it is a big establishment with cafes and restaurants; you can spend a day easily and not to finish.

You can always good deals at Macy s specially at the end of each season

8 or 9 floors of shopping. You can't go wrong...right?

I visited this place twice this holiday season. Once to check their famous holiday festive window decorations, and second to purchase personal clothing items for myself. Both visits were very pleasant. The widows display decoration this year was as expected in the "Believe in the Wonder of Giving" theme staring the the sweet and fierce characters Sunny the Snowpal. Six windows of decorations were on display for the world to see. The theme was noble and the display was superb.

My second visit was to shop for some clothing items during the holiday sale and was very productive. Staff was helpful in getting me quickly the items I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my popular size was in good supply in the items I was interested in this year. I was quickly able to find the items I want in the high quality that I was looking for and get them at deep discount.

The clothing items display were very organized regardless how the place was crowded and the internal store decorations were very festive and beautiful.

Overpriced label goods - I hated it and my wife loved it. Stress chairs should be provided for bored husbands

It's big. Less run-down than before. Staff are few, far between and give off an air of weariness. Stock levels good but ranges are patchy. An institution so worth walking through, but not a fun destination.

Frustrating! This is how I describe my visit to Macy's in my attempt to buy new bras in Women's Lingerie on the 6th floor. The lady in the Fitting Room was WONDERFUL!. She took my measurements with ease and proficiency and recommended I try Olga, Warner, Bali and Vanity Fair. Nearly every bra was for large women over size 36. I am a 34. Hardly any in size 34, and in some of the brands, none at all! I finally purchased 2 bras, size 36. I left Macy's exhausted after nearly 4 hrs of searching. Not a good experience and the reason I give 2 stars.

Macy's has become a big discount store over the years. I'm not happy with knowing I can buy something for $200 today & tomorrow it might be on sale for $75. There's a "one day only" sale every Wed & Sat, so if I'm not shopping one of those days it's hard to know if I'm getting the best price. Prices drop 80% at a time sometimes. It's just not my way of shopping

The place had mostly everything I wanted to buy like shoes and devices. Even though it was a bit crowded in the store the workers were nice and they give you a bit of a sample of the makeup and others.

A landmark store in the grand manner - one of the remaining great retail emporiums in an age that is willing to forego an experience for the supposed "convenience" of shopping online.

My wife saw a ring she liked in San Francisco but the shop was closed when we went back later to buy it. The staff in the New York store were really helpful and found the same ring for my wife. She is over the moon with it. Thank you so much for your help.

It's a fantastic department store and a New York icon. A can't miss if you are visiting Midtown Manhattan (and you can buy things at great prices too!)
