Allways crowded a hard place to shop more of a tourist trap
Classic Macy's. Decent prices. Great place to shop around. You might just find that great priced item.
You have to go to Macy's during the Christmas shopping season!!! The lights and decorations are over the top. The window deco is incredible especially the rotating Santa sleigh. While Santa is there and can be seen on the 8th floor, a significant wait my delay even the most anxious and energetic young person.
Great environment for shopping of all kind- but ensure your pocket is loaded
Christmas decorations are amazing. If you are in New York in December, you have to go check out the windows outside and the decorations inside.
This place is good, but a little overcrowded sometimes so it s not really comfortable. Some departments have too high prices, even though the brands itself can offer lower prices in their online stores. Anyway the mall is massive and you will not be bored there.
My favorite place for shopping. Great variety, affordable, friendly service and great location.
Excellent shopping experience... And I didn't have to break the bank either...
Although the flower show was great, and the store is interesting & well stocked, once we made our selections, we couldn't find a cashier stand open so that we could actually BUY our items. We had to go up to a different floor and finally found someone in a register in shoes but he said we had to take it to a register in clothing, so we found someone at a register in clothing but they said they didn't have access to the register, so we had to go to yet another register to finally find someone who could ring up our purchases.
It had been about 20 years since I visited Macy's on 34th St. I had completely forgotten that you need about 12 hours to be able to see half of what's in there.
This Macys is huge and very crowded so I rarely go. Needed shoes and a very helpful and efficient women helped me.
Big Macy's where you can chill and grab a bite to eat.
I can see now why they say this is one of the world's biggest stores, and what a store it is!! Mercy, I have never seen such a huge store in all my life! It's absolutely marvelous. My friends and I had to walk in here and tour the whole store just to see what it was like. Just walking in and around the store and taking in everything is a beauty in itself. If you are close by Macy's here, YOU HAVE GOT to stop in here and take a look around!! It is well worth your time - I promise you!!
Bought a matress and box spring. Pillow Top. On sale for 50% off.
Macy's flagship store has 10.5 floors. There are many people here though. They still have a few of their old, antique escalators in use. They even have food/drinks here.
It was nice place 5 years ago. Not anymore. No service, no goods... Sorry to see how they're dying. (
I was help this morning by an amazing associate name Emanuel, in the men s polo department. This person went over and beyond to help me find the item I was looking for even though it was like finding a needle in a haystack. I m so happy that he was able to help me and have my item shipped to me. Thank you Macy s for hiring amazing people like this. Best experience ever. Ten STARS
Not the same Macy's from year's back. I believe due to all the stores and better prices would be the reason!!!
It's a huge store that didn't feel overwhelming... Thanks to the friendly staff.
It was awesome you could get lost in there. And they have some great deals.
Wonderfull, absolutely amazing place you can get all things you think ...a lot of brands
Macy's provides all kinds of items you can think of and always offer products on sale.
Lots and lots of varities of clothes , erfumes, electronic device, jwellery, household stuff etc
Macy's doesn't have the customer service that it used to have. no one helps you and when you do ask for assistance, smart aleck remarks. no wonder why department stores are having a hard time. would paying workers more money, help? kinda sad :(
Macy's Herald Square is near & dear to my heart. I love this place!!! Always finding great deals!!!!
Anything and everything you would need for fashion. I like how they are always good coupons and sales. The one in Manhattan is pretty historic, so even if you're just window shopping good place to check out.
The size of the place may be daunting, and the large number of tourists/people after lunchtime may be overwhelming, but the convenience of finding whatever I may be looking for, for myself, daughter, or partner is well worth the navigational annoyances!
Lots of folks may be switching to exclusively online shopping, but I need to see how things fit myself or my daughter in person to know what to buy, and if there is a sale going on prices can be quite reasonable. I'm so grateful that Macy's exists for those reasons alone. Whether it's bras, pants, sweaters, shoes, or my make up, it's nice to have everything in one place. And food places on nearly every floor make it easy to grab a bite for an ornery toddler.
definitely on the older side, since it's historic. but the product choices are also on the older side, not sure if thats a good thing.
Their shoe selection is usually fairly organized. For me, this usually indicates how well the store is organized in all other departments. The fact that this location takes their time in organizing and assigns Sales Rep during shoe sales is perfect idea!
Doing away with The Cellar was a terrible idea. It was the best part of Macy's.
Great deals over thanksgiving and for visitors! Lovely charm to the building.
Everyone needs to visit here once in their lifetime. Great buys and huge selection.
I love this store. Many people find it intimidating because of the size. I love it. Once I know what I need I just go to the corresponding department and look. The selection here is huge and better than any other Macy`s.
Reasonable prices, friendly and helpful staff great department store.
So huge.. you can spend days to cover everything.. decoration is great as well
This is the second largest Macy's if not in New York, in the United States. A lot nicer to shop here in Macy's of Yonkers than the very crowded and tourists' - laden main location in Midtown Manhattan. The store is always super clean, lovely staff who work there, terrific sales, access to coupons and the location is perfect near three major highways, bordering lower Westchester County and within 2 minutes of New York City from the Bronx. Terrific shopping center within this big complex that Macy's is part of, Cross County Shopping Center. I highly recommend going to this Macy's in Yonkers New York.
Just reopened, looking really like its pre covid days but no sales available yet. Staff and customers look like they are getting used to the 1st day back.
Aside from the obvious shopping side, this store is incredible on the architecture side. The outdoor awnings are worth looking at on the outside. There is the historic old wooden elevator. My favorite is there is also a sign in one of the entryways recognizing Ida and Isador Strauss who died on the Titanic (that door has lately unfortunately been kept closed so it is hard to see); it is accessible on 34th Street.
This store is so huge! Wow, amazing - a one stop store, very accessible to all shoppers. All the branded bags, perfumes , apparels, watches. There's so much to do..to explore..
Anything you could want for clothing with great discounts
Best Macys in NY you'll find everything style wise here...
Everything you want and need at this Macy s! All the high end selection s I love it here
Stopped here for clothes and shoes to go out. The guy who served us in the footwear department was second to none. Absolutely brilliant.
It's easy to ask for a brand rather than just walking. Sale was good and staff very friendly and helpful.
The largest and most conveniently located department store in Manhattan. Great selection for Men, Women, Boys and Girls clothing and accessories. As well as cosmetics, furniture, and anything else you d need for your home. All-around great store. Iconic and definitely a must-see attraction of NYC!
Good fun store staff is nice plenty of restaurants to eat at after shopping.
Alot of selections which can be overwhelming. But I was able to find everything I needed
Macy's is a very good place to shop for clothes, kitchenwear, Backpacks, suitcases etc. You'll find everything here.
Huge store. You will find everything in. During Christmas days huge discounts are offered. Price varies according to brand names. Average to expensive brands are all there for you to choose. The branch near the empire state is the best
The biggest department store in the world! They have a huge selection in every department. I'm fond of their personal shopping service, which is free of charge. The only thing I don't like about it is the store is way to big to hop in and out of quickly.
Nice place to shop under one roof with plenty of newest designs and quality products. Love you Macy's.
Favorite store anywhere. Go at Christmas if you can.
Largest department store I've ever been in! You can find whatever you need there, and plenty of things you don't. Main downside is that it is always packed.
Always enjoy shopping and browsing there. Always bargains and discounted merchandise, and a relaxing pleasure to visit.
Big store with many floors, but very crowded. Especially in holiday season. You can find almost everything you want or need from well known marks. Those who works here can be better with helping customers.
Macy's gets 0 stars from me, my family and I will not shop at macy's anymore, they want to build their headquarters in NYC with slave labor, lowering the NYC area standards, NO! to that!!!
If you've never visited, you need to. The sheer size of this store is amazing. The oldest and largest Macy's in the world with just over 1 million square feet of retail space. A definite "must visit".
Historical, monumental, off my places to visit list. Now all I have to do is come for the treeing lighting in Rockefeller Center Christmas parade and ice skating. I New York!
Today Macy's was a pleasant experience. I walkthrough the store but only went to 0ne and one and a half and base ment.a gentleman directed me to where the bathroom was I then chilled a while in the cellar.
Overpriced and overwhelming. Save yourself the hassle and go to the Nordstrom rack and union square or the Bloomingdales outlet on 72nd and broadway.
Their Shoe Salon is a shoe shopper's dream. It's huge, and you can spend hours in there enjoying your adventure to find the perfect booties, sneakers or pumps.
It's classic Macy's, wide variety of everything. An institution.
Wow. What else can be said. A must stop when in new York City. Place is HUGE. It's like 11 stories high. And a must do is the wooden escalators that start at like the sixth floor. Even if your not going to buy anything in the gazzilion different stores inside. It's a place that is a wow factor stop.
Very good place. Always crowded. Tough to find restrooms though especially for men :-)
I don't usually shop for clothing here, but I LOVE the home sections. I especially like shopping in the cellar for kitchen products - a wide variety of good store-brand items, and non-Macy's brands as well. Keep an eye out for sales, they run often and can save you a ton. I like the food court in the basement, and the store is so huge that it's fun to wander around when you have nowhere in particular to be. Lots of things to find in here (including a cooking school!).
Love it everything you need to shop for and all brands in one big luxury store
Go on Wednesdays, they always have a sale on that day. Always check the sale racks for deals and check online for coupons before buying in store.
During Thanksgiving day 34th between 6&7 is entirely closed until the parade is over. Detour on 33rd or 35th sts.
First visit. Great selection. Just need Santa-sized clothes... Lol
My FAVORITE $tore! Beautiful, Friendly Staff, and Great Quality Merchandise for Great Price$!
Traveling anywhere throughout this store is kind of a nightmare. And we were there during a really slow travel time so I can t even imagine how bad it is when the store is busy.
Only time I avoid Macy's is during the holidays because it's crazy packed with a lot of people including all tourist. Very hard to get around in the store, not to mention the more aggressive staff pushing products. Other than that great place to do some shopping, because any other day of the year you can actually walk ok around the store.
