This place is huge and should cater for pretty much every designer you could wish for.

This store is huge! Luckily, the departments are separated by floor. Was looking for a pair of suspenders and happy to find a broad selection available. The Halloween display at the entrance was quite impressive, but the Christmas display is the real showstopper (we visited last year and took lots of great photos!

Great and huge place to shop in. Good offers with quality merchandise. Will just can spend time looking around the people and grandeur of the interiors

Only made it through three floors of the nine. Next trip for sure.

Great Super Multi Store! You can find whatever you are looking for on any department. This one specifically is very nice and huge!

Oh that's my store I buy all my bed in the bag from there sheet sets I have so much and I can't even take all the pictures of of the things that I got from there and the people there treats me so nice from the cashier to the managers supervisors they treat me with royalty 6th floor a floor 9th floor I love it I leave already broke every time I go

Christmas time definitely take a moment to go see, other than that its shopping and i give 1 star for any shopping hehe!

Xmas holidays so if ourse have to window watch and shop at Macy s flagship store in the City. Rainy but warm day and music shoppers tourists and window displays.

This place is mobbed all the time, stay alert and watch your pockets. Very hectic scene, lots of tourists. Good if you're trying to cut through from MSG to Herald Square.

Sales and selection are goid. Shop in oeace and quiet before noon. Sundsys are the best before noon. Every thing is in order and easy access to restrooms. Check rhe Sunday paper and online for coupons.

Biggest shopping store in the world..... a place where you can buy anything you want - fragrance, jewellery, fashion, shoes, furniture, electrical products - a one stop shop! Loads of places to dine from a cup of coffee to fine dining; bag storage is a great facility for shoppers. Macy's is an icon of New York - fabulous!

As 9 floors and every type of clothing you're looking for. Sunglass hut employees on lower level are very friendly and helpful.

Christmas is THR BEST time to visit Macy's....simply magical!

I had to shop for mom and i instantly knew i had to go to Macy's to find my mom a dress. I went to Marshalls and nothing. I was so lucky to find this outfit which was $208 but with the discount it came up to be $156. I actually saved a lot and the dress fit perfectly. I'm so glad everything worked out.

It's a wonderful place to shop especially around the holidays.

My boyfriend and I were just spending the evening for the tree lighting this year and we stopped in Macy s on the way to the train station. He was looking at the sunglasses in their sunglasses hut location. I know it s cold outside so layering up clothes looks like he may be homeless and there is nothing wrong with the homeless community. I was standing on the other side and noticed a manager and another associate watching every move he made. Literally profiling him as if he was going to steal something. I ve worked in retail for 18 years and have learned to NEVER judge a book by its cover. I m so mad and upset about this situation, I decided to say something then and their and they both stood there like nothing ever happened. Stay away from this store.

This is a classic store from when I was young and when they sold stereo equipment on 5 as i remember. I always liked this store. You can feel the history.

Visited recently whilst on holiday. Its like taking a step back in time with the wooden escalators. Great that they have kept the old features.

Your insane if you don't visit the only largest Macys. They amount of floors and different companies sharing space with it is crazy. My grandmother has shopped here for years and she still loves it.

Literally THE best Macy's! They have the best stock in comparison to other locations and if you come here during the holidays it's absolutely magical!

Busy area but shopping selection is great. There's a lot of great products to choose from and easy to roam around the mall.

Not a pleasant experience. Tried to return the clothes, but was told that they won't accept it without tags. Moreover according to the clerk, they've told me that when I bought the thing (which they did not). "You must have forgot it or something". After telling me that she just ignored me.

Way to go Macy's, no wonder you lose customers to online retailers with better return policy

Largest Macy's ever but it's a tourist trap. You literally can't even walk at all since they all love standing there and looking lost.
Bathroom are placed really messily all over the floor which is confusing. My partner had to go to the seventh floor for the men's bathroom and then we had to travel to the basement for me because God forbid they place the bathrooms next to each other!
Placed two items for pick up at around 5pm. Went the next day to pick it up and had to wait till 1pm to only be told that one of my items was cancelled.
The Nespresso bar was pretty nice to us and had many samples as I was purchasing one from them. Other than that...people were very rude (God forbid you look for help in a department store). Also, went to Burberry and also Louis Vuitton to look for some nice handbags as I was due for one but they had such a snobby attitude just because of the way I dressed? Was simply wearing jeans and a grey v neck. Kept staring at me and wouldn't offer help until I showed interest that I was going to purchase one. Ended up going to the one at 5th Ave.

Historically nostalgic! Even the escalators shows who we are as shoppers years ago! Nice to visit once in a while got nice pants for my teenager for 50% off.

Just be aware that there's a floor 1.5 in the men's section. It doesn't show up on the floor descriptions but it's there.

Keith in the Millennials department is a fantastic example of a sales associate!!!!!! He's courteous and very helpful. No matter how busy he is he always has time to answer my questions. Trust me I have alot of them. Please keep him in your store and give him a great big raise!!! He deserves it especially for answering all of my questions.

Macy's is amazing!! I cannot stress that enough. Every and anything you want can be found here. Don't think you can get through it in a day though, you'll definitely need about 3- 4 days if you're a slow shopper or if you enjoy looking at everything even if you're not buying. I love that they have food places in the department store as well...and of course there's the magic of those old escalators that make you think back to what the store was like when they made the Miracle on 34th Street movie.

They have really good sales once a while, I got rain boots from Tommy for 30 percent off. It is really good to check the store more often to know what kind of deal they have.

The Go to shopping establishment for all your apparel needs!, a good shopping area for tourists.

Ignorant staff, queues when paying. Inadequate number of toilets.
Update. We have recently visited NYC again, and also visited Macys again. Unfortunately my view has now changed. Whist you can get good prices, the staff are still as disinterested as ever. You generally have to wait for the staff to finish a conversation with their friends before they will serve you.

I love Macy's Harold Square. Always have good quality items - trained and often expert staff. It's just a NYC icon and a great place to spend some time shopping. Great basement kitchenware and a nice bar for a burger and beer before stepping back onto the busy streets of midtown. You haven't been to NYC if you haven't experienced this great department store.

It was not crowded on the intimate floor. Sales associates were helpful and nice.

It's a little expensive but the discounted section is always good and should be a best option for some who is not interested in new designs, fresh socks, new arrivals. It's vast with all clothing options available from all brands. Enjoy shopping.

I totally love this store. I shop at Macy's for all my jewelry, boots, sandals, jeans, perfume, cosmetic, dresses, appliances and so on. I have always received great deals and customer service in store or online. I recommend this department store brand to every shopper.

Went here last time I was in New York about 10 years ago. Customer service has gone very downhill with everything bring too much trouble for the staff to bother with. Extremely disappointed

I had an incredibly helpful staff member who managed to help me pick a good jacket, shirt and tie for $200 when the store was only half an hour from closing.

I shop enough at macys as a support for the business, Macys 34 street is like a pearl in the heart of the city , there is so much labor into entry and windows, this place is always smells nice , pleasant relaxing classics always at the background, employees always welcoming, the temperatures at the store is always well balanced, is never to cold or to hot is always perfect. When you entering to the store by the bags area, first few second feels like ...oh wow it is so cool and bright , so many colorful bags around, you just want to see all of them and get one . I wish them have more tourist and less items on sale .
