I had frank do my first tattoo for my 18th birthday and he did amazing! I m so happy with my tattoo. I recommend this place 120% !!!

Considering everything going on in Ybor with the fire issues , they were awesome about still making sure I got pierced at their sister shop down the street , old 7th Tattoo . The staff was very helpful with what jewelry I should pick out and the piercer Joel did an awesome job . Go see these guys !

Just had a tattoo done by Frank at this Poler me i two of my friends tattoos was cheap but I guess you get what you pay for and he did a Batman symbol for one of my friends and it came out terrible the lines 1 point is bigger than the other points I did a Star Wars tattoo no color just black and he didn t even make the line straight it was terrible my other friend did a quarter size anchor and he could even done that correct Definitely do not recommend it

Very friendly staff, the manager is awesome, got my nose pierced in just a few minutes. Clean. No complaints!

I knew Ken Dean before he started working at Blue Devil and he is one of the finest tattoo artist I have ever met in the 16 years that I have been getting tattooed around the world. He is someone who loves his craft, his art and his clients. He takes the time to sit and get to know you before he tattoos you, makes you feel welcomed and works his magic to turn your thoughts into the reality of what you want on your body forever. I highly recommended him if you want a heartfelt and beautiful tattoo that will last you a lifetime.

My experience here was an overall great time. My boy Fred sketched up something for me exactly how I wanted it to look like down to the last dot. The next day I came to the shop super excited to get this piece done, and when I left I couldn't have been more happy with the piece and how the experience went. Fred always makes me feel very comfortable, is patient with you, and let me take breaks when I needed too. He never fails to disappoint. The atmosphere of the shop was super relaxing and chill, everybody who works there are sweet genuine people. I'd highly recommend Blue Devil as a tattoo shop you should definitely check out! When in this area has the opportunity to get freshly hand-rolled cigars at a good price to smoke and have the opportunity to sit outside and have a drink there are different locations there, it is a student area, so the prices are also okay

I couldn't be happier walking into Blue Devil. Shop manager was cool and Ken Dean is such a talented artist. He isn't like most other male artists I've dealt with. Most of them are cocky. Ken made me feel comfortable right away and expressed a lot of interest in what he was tattooing. He also asked my opinion and gave me his. And I didn't expect my tattoo to turn into the beautiful masterpiece that it is. Very genuine, down to earth and funny guy. He truly loves his job and is extremely good at it! Hopefully he stays in the area because I wouldn't want to go to anyone else! Great experience!

Ken does not know what he's doing. Asked for a light brown tattoo and I have a black one large on my back permanently. This guy and this shop is a joke. Big mistake coming here

Ken Dean is a fantastic artist and i couldn't be happier with his work! Every member of the staff there is courteous, professional and just oh-so dreamy.

Frank was amazing! My group of friends did a walk in for a rune tat, and the lines were crisp and straight as a needle! On top of that it was very quick- much appreciated.

Was not too impressed with smell inside. The customer service was excellent though. Very helpful and postive .

I've loved Blue Devil ever since my first tattoo they did of a black panther on my right arm way back in 94 and they did a great job on my latest black panther tat on my right thigh so there's no going any place else in my opinion for quality art work and customer care...

Took my daughter here for her eyebrow to be re.peirced because the person here in port richie messed ot all up, she had a very bad experience, however the man here at blue devil is hands down the best I have ever seen, I mean this guy is exceptional, she had no swelling, no pain, it was over before she could blink, also I had forgot my license here and was upset about it not being sent back, the owner contacted me to apologize, it's nice to see a owner that truly cares about every 1 of his customers! Top notch!

I've been here several times to see Pat the piercer, a few times with friends and once to get my own piercing. Each time visiting Pat, I was impressed by how professional and clean he is. He's very relaxed and trustworthy, which helps ease any nerves you may have. He pierces excellently, he's gentle and quick, and his placement is fantastic as well. I drove all the way from Orlando to be pierced by him!

Getting a tree in remembrance of my Mimi and Drago is nailing this water color!! Drago does amazing work and is a very talented artist!

Tattoo didn t come out nearly as to what I expected it to. Texted the artist multiple times to try to come in and get the tattoo touched up and no answer. Take your money somewhere else.

I work with some top notch people at blue devil. Frank is the man to go to for all your realism needs, and Jake is an awesome piercing artist that really cares about his clients and their modifications.

Worst experience Ive ever had purchasing a piece of body jewelry. Not to say I was unsatisfied with thier selectiin but I was unsatisfied with my purchase. The only plastic plugs Ive ever bought that sanitizing them with alcohol ruined.

My boyfriend and I went to get matching tattoos *randomly* and Johnny made our first ybor city experience so awesome! He was patient, professional and not to mention hilarious! I look forward to going back for more ink!!! Tattoos came out flawless and couldn't have chosen a better place. :)

They pierced my nose with a 16 gauge nose ring... developed a keloid and now have to have the piercing removed and visit a dermatologist to begin scar treatments... terrible judgement on my part but terrible piercing service on theirs.

Tim Martin did a tattoo for me this past weekend at the Ink Mania Expo. I chose a tattoo from his book that consisted of a rose with a lace bow in the realism style. Halfway through tattooing me he tells my boyfriend that he decided to change it up and make it a traditional style tattoo with a realism bow. We did not discuss this. He did not tell me he was doing this and had he discussed it with me I would have told him no and to keep the style as realism. That being said, it is a solid tattoo. I do like it very much and have been getting a lot of compliments on it. Even other tattoo artists' at the expo said they really liked it. Although it is a nice tattoo I would have preferred he done it in the style I chose. Had the design looked like a traditional tattoo in his book, I would NOT have purchased it. I would have simply said, "Oh, that's cool.". It is simply unprofessional and poor business judgment to change a tattoo style without consulting the person you are tattooing. This is MY body and that is permanant.. it was not his choice to make.

Love the tattoo I had done. Is beautiful. The place is clean and staff is nice. A little pricey but with the correct artist they can work with you a little.

Overpriced and poor workmanship. Charged $100 per tattoo even though both took a total of 15 minutes. Free handed simple ribbon but looks like kid drew it. I said multiple times I wanted both tattoos smaller but he said it wasn t possible or wouldn t look right. Utterly untrue. They are obnoxiously big. Edges aren t sharp or close to how ribbon is supposed to look. Heart was supposed to be open and he closed it, I caught it and he tried saying it wouldn t look right even though the photo had it opened and that s what we liked. He fixed it on the stencil but then practically closed it with permanent ink. I should have gone with my gut and declined but I didn t want to offend what I thought was a professional. My bad. Piercer was cool but didn t talk about color or size options prior to or during piercing even though we asked beforehand. He decided sizes and colors for us and didn t let us choose or show us how it would look before sticking us. I m super confused because they weren t even busy so no need to rush the process. I suppose they are just inexperienced. They need to be thorough, ask questions, make sure the customer is happy before proceeding with permanent ink and near permanent piercings. I m getting the tattoos lasered off after walking out spending $490. They were friendly and didn t seem arrogant but is it not arrogance or unethical if you don t listen to a paying customer and ensure they are happy? A reputable operation would not commit to doing a tattoo or piercing if they couldn t fulfill what the customer wanted.

I first came into Blue Devil as a walk in customer with a specific idea for a piece i wanted to get for a relative who had passed. This is when I had the pleasure meeting Ken. His portfolio is awesome and I had no problems trusting him with the piece. He was very clean and professional- not to mention hilarious and SUPER TALENTED. His station is well decorated with all kinds of custom work which led me to ask him about doing some larger pieces for me. Since then I've been back several times and always send my friends his way. I couldn't be happier to point people in his direction when they complement the beautiful work he's done for me. Can't wait for my next appointment!

I'm terrified of needles and have been talking about getting a Daith piercing for my migraines for years. Joel has angel has, quick and painless. Now to see if it helps.

I was recommended by a good friend to see Pat the piercer. I have nothing but excellent things to say about him! He's friendly, clean, and placement it perfect. I recommend anyone considering a piercing to him, and I would never consider going anywhere else to get a piercing.

Wanted a simple small tattoo that included the letter "o" but the line work the guy did was bad the thickness is different and that specific letter is bigger than the other ones. Would not recommend this place.

I just got back from vacation and heard from some customers that I moved to Iceland. Not true!!! I visited, but did not move. I did move tattoo shops. I work at Ybor City Tattoo Company, located at 1730 E. 7th Ave. Pat, Esben, And Uncle Buck went with me, just so you know.

If you're looking for a great tattoo artist I would highly recommend Frank. He has done multiple tattoos for myself and my mother and we are both very pleased with his work. He keeps an open mind and will work with you to get the perfect tattoo you envisioned. He also has a uniqueness to his style if you appreciate authenticity.

This place was so awesome! I went to a bunch of the shops in Ybor and most of them said my Tattoo couldn't be done how I wanted it. Cliff Shepard was the only guy who seemed interested in doing my Tattoo and I am so glad he was because it came out better than I could've ever imagined! My wife also got a tattoo right after me and hers came out awesome as well! He was very professional and had a great personality! He works very quickly and has a light hand so he won't beat u up! I wouldn't let any other Ybor shop touch me cause these guys r the best! Thank you Cliff Shepard you rock brotha! My Florida tattoo gets complimented everywhere I go!

What I look for in a tattoo artist is a mix of creativity and the ability to know what I like... Cliff (The Pirate) is the man to go to! Paid $200 cash for a mess of a tattoo! Man got in a hurry and didnt finish shading and filling in the lines even! They put a new skin film over it where I couldn't even tell it wasnt finish! Plus I got a rash all over and around tattoo! I was given a number by another tattoo shop to speak with a health inspector and show pictures!

I was displeased with my tattoo, they missed an entire line in a geometric tattoo and didn't do anything about it. They are very unprofessional since they did my tattoo wrong told me to go back in two week and when I finally drove up there they told me they could not attend me that I had to wait 7 hours for his next opening when it was his mistake. The tattoo is not even well done and their service sucks.

I have had multiple custom tattoos created and applied by Cliff Shepard, he's very professional, with a keen eye to the safety and comfort of his clients. I would definitely have him tattoo me again.
