Callaway Plant really is a great place to work. I've worked at all of the active nuclear power stations in Illinois and Missouri has the best PWR that I've seen.
Very clean & well kept.

i love this place soooooo much but it deserves a 1 star

Took my husband a week to get badged in. Layed off in 10 days. The local guys laid off right out the gate and ones from outta state still working now. Seems a little backwards to me. I hear from ppl round here Callaway getting a bad reputation. I'm sure the guy here from Tn, laid off in 10 days wasn't thrilled with his experience. ~Robin Potter

Please expand this plant with a newer Generation 4 plant. We could use the extra jobs around here.

I'd rather live next door to a nuclear power plant especially with a generation 4 reactor than a coal-burning power plant

It's real. My dad was an electrician on the cooling tower. It provided alot of jobs at the time but I'm not so sure I like living 48 minutes directly West of it.

Awesome place! Took the kids there for Easter and had a blast looking for eggs underneath the the Cooling towers and even got access to take them over the the reactor without having to have those large annoying suits on! Highly recommend coming here with your kids as it is the bees knees!

The individuals that were local to Calloway were obnoxious, of little help to "boomers".
They give "Southern Hospitality" a bad name.
I was never so happy to leave a job in my life.

Wonderful place, i recently went on a tour here and was amazed. Nuclear power is given a Bad rap in the media and it really is uncalled for. I really recommend a tour of the facility before u go around dissing on nuclear power.
