I booked this hotel in agoda, the price is nearly 100USD, the result is that the room is in the ground F, no sunlight, although there is a window but can not open the air, the room is only 1.5 ping +0.5 ping bathroom. The room was clean, but the bed was too soft, the pillow height was right, there was no air conditioning (Autumn is OK, summer NG), no refrigerator, there is a coffee machine that can make noodles, make coffee, the staff at the service desk is still cordial.

Last summer, I went with my mother to London to spend a week there. We found out this hotel in a travel agency, and they told us that it was a good option for us. It didn't seem to be very big and it wasn't very centered in the city, but it seemed to have a very good communication. We saw some photos of the rooms and the dinning room and we agreed with the agency, so we were very satisfied.
In my personal opinion, when you enter, it can seem disappointing. Personally, I believe that our room was going to be bigger, but the worst thing is that the bathroom was so small and very little spacious.
In my view, the room isn't very appropriate to spend a night, the blinds are very bad, and the taxis outside make a lot of noise.
I also think that it isn't so good located, beacuse it took us a lot of time to find out the underground station.
I agree with the idea that there are a lot of supermarkets and restaurants around, so it's very easy to eat.
In general I think that the photos don't reflect very well how the hotel is really and the neighbourhood isn't what I expected.

Location of the hotel was good. Unfortunately, I caught one of the smallest rooms. When 2x the light in the bathroom turned out, I got for the last night a new room, which was a bit bigger. The staff could be very friendly and helpful, sometimes it seemed that at the front desk the person was rather bored and they got help with a lot of effort. Breakfast was not great.

One of the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

One of the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Unclean, run down, dust was thick across sides of radiator and beds, mould all over the bathroom, pee stained tiles around the toilets, paint working chipped and peeling, tiles on the bathroom floor are cracked - cut my foot on a sharp piece. The health and safety obligations within the room were by no means obliged by (in this tiny twin room which wasn't big enough to swing a cat, was a bedside table queezed in between two tiny beds the table which not only acted as storage but also held the bedside lamp, kettle, and tea making utensils) - the kettle which sits directly at the head of your bed is one false move away from causing scalding or spilling into plug sockets which sit directly below the table. My quilt which belonged in the trash was stained throughout and smelt like sour milk. The windows are so delapitdated you can't tell the difference between it being open or closed.

During our stay the fire alarm went off one evening, not one member of staff came up to the rooms to confirm everything was okay, they just left us to get changed and head for fire exits, even then we had to ask what was happening - to be informed "it's fake".

The staff had absolutely no interest in helping guest. There was no phone in the room to call reception.

Carpet on the stairs is health hazard; bits frayed and rolled up.

Lift was vandalised.

There is no safe storage for luggage, guest are told to leave bags in an unmanned area in reception.

Guest were smoking in the hotel.

You could hear every sound from the surrounding rooms.

Shower was lukewarm and with no pressure - covered in limescale.

We were charged at a medium range hotel rate for this flea pit.

I give it 0/5

The hotel is beautiful. The only problem is that they do not replace the cleaning elements. They have to claim and even so they skimp a lot on leaving paper toilet, soap, shampoo. One has to end up buying everything when those elements are assumed to be included in the price of the room. The cleaning staff does not do their job well, the cups in the room and the sheets are dirty. A lot to improve!

But do you even have the courage to respond? I miss if you pay me back in that filthy topaia, zero hygiene, service to the customer even less, you notice how much you suck in comparison to the image you create on Booking and the only answer I get is "when you want to do the check-out?" I don't take photos because I vomit every time I look at them.

*DISGRACEFUL*

*DISGRACEFUL*
Planned a lovely weekend away with my partner and once we checked into the hotel and got our room I was so surprised! Mould up the walls, dirty and scratch walls and damaged furniture! Room also smelt musty and damp. Blinds were brown and disgusting and outside the windows was what looked like a dumping ground! So disappointed didn t at all look like the hotel and I was really looking forward to our stay and was severely disappointed! Even took pictures of the room in case I was challenged as they were undeniable. Receptionist didn t seem surprised at all that we ask to leave and for a refund only after being in the hotel 10 minutes. Receptionist was very rude didn t even apologise for our let down! Definitely wouldn t recommend.
I m not one to write reviews but I feel like I had to provide feedback to anyone considering staying here, it will completely ruin your stay in London.

If I could give zero I would ... our rooms were in the basement of this building ...the corridors were like a death trap ...no air and a window that had no screen ...the smell of bleach disguising the mold was unbearable. Nothing that was shown on line was inside this building .the front desk has an obnoxious young Asian boy who mouthed off ... we demanded a refund but were unwilling to do so .. this place is a living nightmare save yourself.

The venue is really nice. In fact the hotel is very close to Earl's Court station. This station is on the Piccadilly line which is open all night long during Friday and Saturday. So you can enjoy your time at the center of the city without caring about the time!! Nevertheless the rooms are not so comfortable, they are actually too small and I think that it is a little bit expensive. I suggest you not to pay for breakfast because it is awful!!

Very old and dirty, the worst hotel I've ever been in my life, dirt is everywhere, the worst service can not be. The room too small, the reception very border and badly educated, beds of hospital, mattresses with the springs that are stuck in the back, the bathroom too small and dirty, they do not have shutters and they do not close the windows well, I do not recommend it nor My worst enemy. The room you have to leave at 11 in the morning and if you want to leave your bags until you pick up the taxi at 2 they charge 6 pounds and you have to download your to a basement.
Shameful!
The worst treatment received in a Hotel!
The cockroaches walk around the breakfast room and the fruits put them with no hands at all.
Incredibly wrong ..

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel and were bitten by bed bugs twice. We documented the bugs and spoke to reception about canceling the rest of our nights in the hotel. They assured us that they would be handling a refund for us. Specifically, Mark at reception assured us. We have been trying to contact the hotel to see why this is taking two weeks and our booking agent has been unable to get an answer from them.

Forget the small rooms and uninterested reception area, the bed bugs and lack of empathy are enough reason to give zero stars.

I have emailed and tried contacting many times. They are free to reach out if they wish to rectify this.

We booked into this hotel on 21st August 2019.

We booked into this hotel on 21st August 2019.
A 24hr front desk, open front door with no receptionist at times during the night so anyone can enter unchallenged. This smoke-free hotel offers guests the opportunity to block the front entrance by sitting on the steps smoking. Additionally, multilingual staff will ignore you for the majority of the time especially the ones sitting at the front desk playing on their phones. This 3 star hotel offers some of the poorest standards you will find in the most basic hostels in London, kettles that don t fit under the wash basin taps will leave you ecstatic at having to pour cups of water in to fill it, cable TV with hardly any channels working. No air conditioning installed but be assured the portable fans will circulate heat in your room to ensure you have an uncomfortable night. A shower room offers the smallest space possible, (guests are advised to wear footwear when walking on the shower rooms wobbly, broken tiled floors as this will prevent injury).
Others features include: Frayed stained carpets. Dust on high walls. Chipped, tired furniture. Scuffed walls. Mouldy, rotten window frames. Broken blinds with missing slats. Unclean cups. Cramped space. Some rude staff. Shower room - mouldy corners, nooks and crannies. Flaky paint on ceiling. No grout around floor and wall tiles. Messy grouting in places. No glass tumbler. Trickling shower with no water pressure.
The reception and dining area were decent enough but the list of fails for the rest of the hotel could go on i.e. shabby, damaged, unkempt.
If you are unfortunate enough not to have read the hotel reviews (like us) and check into this sham of a 3 star hotel you will be more than disappointed and if not, you perhaps need a full psychological assessment. For those reading this review, you have been warned: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Good looking building on the outside, reception and lounge are ok as well.. Corridor carpets are covered in stains and are mismatched.. Our rooms were ok , bed mattresses that are well overdue replacing. Bathroom was so small kept banging my arm on the shower whilst shaving.. Good place for location if you just need a nights stopover.

Friendly staff It is very close to the subway that takes you all the central areas. Small but comfortable and functional rooms for what a tourist needs to think about visiting the city. The noise is filtered, but nothing that you can not stand. Although the elevator is very small, so it would be better to carry few or small suitcases.

POSSIBLY THE WORST HOTEL IN LONDON - PLEASE DO NOT BOOK
this isn t spam... I stayed on the 28th December and had to check out the same night because even at 10.30 pm the restaurant next door were playing loud music, smashing things and then a few people came up to my window and shone a light inside my room! I complained to reception who said the music would continue until 12.30 am, past midnight... I have called up almost every day since then to speak to the manager and a very rude lady always answers and says she will pass on my details and he will email me and then hangs up the phone on me. The rooms there are not fit for purpose if like myself you want a good nights sleep and the staff are the most un-accommodating people I ve ever come across. I ve honestly never written a review before but I m so shocked at this experience that I felt I had to. Hopefully I can save other people now some money and time.

It's dirty, the room is very small (undersized) you didn't even know where to put things, there wasn't even a chair not to mention the bathroom it was hard to sit in the toilet due to lack of space. The only positive thing is the location, but it is absurd to consider it a three-star hotel. Also place the photos.

I put 4 stars because it really is in a strategic location and super super nice London, we realized that many areas can be very moving to visit on foot without using your meter. Folks. That said, but I don't think it's a novelty in London, unfortunately everywhere in the carpet and really small spaces, especially the bathroom.

Fabulous location! Very close to the Glouchester road metro station, close to Hyde Park, Tesco, Pret a manger, restaurants (including Lebanese and nando's). Position 10 more !!! As for the rooms: clean, very comfortable beds, change of towels every day, but FISSISTI FISSI. NEED ancient structure that more care and maintenance. Reception staff available but always "scazzi", not even greet when people enter or leave the hotel (except the only girl always smiling). Here a minimum of more propensity to the public would not hurt. Continental breakfast average. I would stay there again so I recommend it.

The hotel was not nearly as pictured on the photos. Our room was super tiny and way too small for three people. There wasn t even space to open our luggage. There was no closet at all. Beneath the door to the hallway there was a huge crack of about 5 cm so you could hear every single noise from the hallway. The skylight was completely broken so it wouldn t close properly which had the effect that it was freezing inside. The water from the tap was boiling hot. You couldn t stand showering for more than a minute. The employees were polite but weren t really willing to help with the luggage. The only good thing was that the hotel is located in Kensington and it s cheap.

The hotel is well located, within residential neighborhood but the room is very old. The shower must wait about 5 minutes to get hot, the elevator / elevator is very old and several times the light goes out. You do not have a hair dryer, you have to pay 5 pounds of deposit. In the
Entrance does not have ramp to raise suitcase. We played room in 3 the floor. The bathroom very dark and with only one mirror. If you stay a few nights, you're fine. The tc does not have a good signal, but the wifi does work. They have coffee, tea to prepare you in room and amenities. My assessment is normal.

Good hotel with a pretty good distance to the center, about 15-20 minutes. Modern decoration of the hall, the room rather small but thanks to the radiator it was perfect, the bed comfortable, do not go cold. Small bathroom. The neighborhood is quiet. Nearby you have the cloucester road subway stop, and several supermarkets. Breakfast with pastries, toaster, juices and English breakfast. Attentive staff

What a cheap trick! I booked a night at Barkston Rooms on 3rd July with Booking.com. When I arrived there was a notice stating customers were referred to Lexington Gardens Hotel. When I arrived here late there was a notice stating that customers were referred to Barkston Rooms.

Refund me the money I paid and compensate me for the distress of being left in the rain as a single woman just before midnight unable to book elsewhere at that time.

Pathetic con artists!

Nice building viewed from the outside but once inside it's a lot different. Far too small rooms of which, the room that we had the window did not close completely and therefore had some night noise. The elevator was broken during our stay. The breakfast, which is 7pond a day per person, but was poor: bimbo bread with a large pot of nutella choco, a boiled egg and white beans in the red sauce from a pot. Not to eat. Staff are friendly and the beds are great.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THIS PLACE IS A DISGRACE AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU PREFER TO BE TREATED LIKE A PIECE OF TRASH. THE STAFF WERE RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS AND COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT CUSTOMERS. ROOM WAS DIRTY, STAINED AND LOOKED LIKE IT SHOULD BE CONDEMNED. WORST PLACE IN LONDON SO FAR. We reservatet a 4 person room a month ahead of our trip, when we got there we were meet by an not very service minded receptionist. He told us the reservation did not go trough and he did not even seem interested in having us as guests. He just started telling us to go to another hotel. And we were happy for it! The hotel is very budget and it has a high risk of bedbugs and getting a moldy room. I highly recommend to look for a different option when it comes to staying in London!

Survivor .... We must survive ... Cramped bathroom spaces at the limit of habitability .. No shampoo shelf or anything else inside the shower cubicle or in the bathroom. Inside the room no chair three crutches for two people and a micro closet. French bed instead of a double bed. They had to program four keys to open the room. Micro room without space for two people .. Three stars maybe once. Now maybe one. I will not return and will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
