We booked into this hotel on 21st August 2019.
A 24hr front desk, open front door with no receptionist at times during the night so anyone can enter unchallenged. This smoke-free hotel offers guests the opportunity to block the front entrance by sitting on the steps smoking. Additionally, multilingual staff will ignore you for the majority of the time especially the ones sitting at the front desk playing on their phones. This 3 star hotel offers some of the poorest standards you will find in the most basic hostels in London, kettles that don t fit under the wash basin taps will leave you ecstatic at having to pour cups of water in to fill it, cable TV with hardly any channels working. No air conditioning installed but be assured the portable fans will circulate heat in your room to ensure you have an uncomfortable night. A shower room offers the smallest space possible, (guests are advised to wear footwear when walking on the shower rooms wobbly, broken tiled floors as this will prevent injury).
Others features include: Frayed stained carpets. Dust on high walls. Chipped, tired furniture. Scuffed walls. Mouldy, rotten window frames. Broken blinds with missing slats. Unclean cups. Cramped space. Some rude staff. Shower room - mouldy corners, nooks and crannies. Flaky paint on ceiling. No grout around floor and wall tiles. Messy grouting in places. No glass tumbler. Trickling shower with no water pressure.
The reception and dining area were decent enough but the list of fails for the rest of the hotel could go on i.e. shabby, damaged, unkempt.
If you are unfortunate enough not to have read the hotel reviews (like us) and check into this sham of a 3 star hotel you will be more than disappointed and if not, you perhaps need a full psychological assessment. For those reading this review, you have been warned: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.
