Typical English hotel with old carpet covering all floors. Average on every sense (quality, price, attention, etc). Couldn't do the check in o the exact time: not one minute early. It is in a very nice location.

Very bad experience is to say the least. The photos do not reflect reality. The room so small that my husband had to jump to go to bed. The tiny bathroom. To go to the toilet you had to put your foot in the shower! Not to mention the stained and dirty carpet, soot in the ceiling. Strongly advised against. Very bad price / quality ratio.

It's not worth it. Specially if you happen to get a room in the basement, its hectic. The smell down there is disgusting. This was advertised as a boutique hotel, it IS NOT a boutique hotel. The side door outside of the hotel that is supposed to be locked was not, and it gives access to the back where the basement rooms are, so do not leave the windows open and be aware of this security problem. The hotel takes no responsibility for any loss or damage to your things. Hard not to keep the window open with the humidity down there though. The window blinds were dirty and wall corners were worn and scratched. I could hear conversations from the room next. One of the 2 available plugs were not fitting properly and I had to unplug the small TV to use its plug. The hot water took 3-5 minutes to come and it was not hot, rather just warm. There is no espresso coffee in the whole hotel. The room I got did not have a desk, i had to use my laptop on the bed and it was overheating. Tiny wardrobe barely fit my suits and the hanger was too high for my height. Just hectic. Location might be worth it but not for this price for a night.

The rooms could be a bit better, the pressure of the shower is minimal and the bed moves a lot when lying down, the bathrooms smelled bad and upon entering when checking in the windows were open with a cold on the street .. The staff service is nice, for that part there is no complaint. For all the comments I give 3 stars since the price was not too expensive.

Reception totally random depending on the person at the reception. Carpet dirty and totally degraded (tasks of all kinds), very small room without the minimum equipment: no hair dryer, no kettle. The successive requests have paid off after ... 2 days! No shutters, no double glazing. The environment is very noisy. That said, hotel well placed. It's up to you to see which option you are leaning

It is cheap and can stay and breakfast is included. But breakfast is a simple thing like bread and coffee.
The shower went out normally, it was near the station and the supermarket was so quick that it didn't cause any inconvenience.

This hotel is in a good location outside the more central area. Attractive from the outside, staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were functional enough but probably need updating. A little paint would have done wonders. Breakfast was good and set us up for the day..

Great location and from the sidewalk it looks clean and inviting! Be aware that this is DEFINITELY a budget hotel. I've slept on floors of friends houses in the past few weeks and couldn't stomach staying here one night, not only because of the stains on the carpet or unkempt walls, but also because the front desk staff was unsympathetic and unhelpful. Also he generally wasn't surprised we found the rooms in rough condition. I wish I had known earlier! Still awaiting a refund for the nights.

You get what you pay for, but the staff were bloody rude, uncooperative and wouldn't do anything for us. We asked for a spare pillow, to which we were told they had none, and there were no other provisions available when asked. Room was small but serviceable, bathroom had a window in the cubicle which wouldn't normally be an issue but we were on the bottom floor, so people at street level could easily see you. Didn't even bother hanging around in the morning to see what the "breakfast" entailed.

In my first room were cockroaches and in the room i became after there were a lot of ants. So I went back to the first room bcz they had no other free rooms. The guys at the recepition ignored all the problems and whishes I had. So if it's possible i would give them 0 stars.

Absolutely not recommended. I would give 0 stars if it were possible. Unfortunately it does not work. The rooms are an impertinence, we have had two room changes during our 4-day stay. Mold, dirt, worn, partly broken furniture. Only the location is right, but you can also go to a hostel or a chain hotel. The lovely boutique style stops right after the entrance area.

The beautiful hotel inside and out. The area where it is located is great for touring London, everything is close and very safe.
My three stars go for cleanliness. We found cockroaches in bed. Also the people in the entrance are not even able to raise their heads to say hello, very unfriendly. Despite that, the hotel is highly recommended.

Dirty and neglected throughout

Dirty and neglected throughout
It is impossible to find a clean and spotless sq in all carpet and walls
Micro camera like being in an old camper to be scrapped.
Super micro bathroom where you can't bend over the sink.
At the reception, a grumpy guy who doesn't even greet you.

Noisy room, bothers the traffic of the main street, small, with the plugs behind the bed, dirty carpet, radiator full of lint. When cleaning the room the second day they did not refill the water bottles for tea or coffee. Little pressure in the shower, ridiculously tiny bathroom. An idyllic breakfast from one day to the next. The good? That I did not pay for the stay, since it was for work. If I can choose, I will not return.

The staff is very attentive and acts pleasantly unobtrusive. Fantastic I found the first impression when turning into the street. A beautiful contrast between the main street and side street with beautiful townhouses. Recommendations: 1) At the end of the street, stroll through the other side street. 2) for dinner go to the other side of the main street, find the small passage through the front of the house and enjoy the pub atmosphere in the "Kings Head" dining room on the 1st floor 3) For the room rate, close your eyes and just sleep one or two nights. For more nights you spend in a different hotel a few more euros.

It's amazing that this hotel has three stars. It is almost all pretty damaged and deteriorated. The very dirty glass, the dilapidated elevator, the furniture and the decoration of the entrance of the last century.
The room with the window broken and with a store that does not prevent the entry of light at dawn, without tables, a small closet with the mirror of the broken door and three hangers without any drawer, the carpet full of stains, the tv remote without Cap, a toy dryer, the wifi works when you want, a small bathroom with a shower tray to which the water comes out. Gel and soap the first day.
On their website they say they speak ten languages. Spanish, no, nobody. The receptionist of the afternoon shift, obese, with greasy hair and unkempt appearance speaks some Italian, others nothing. He is the most cocky, rude, unfriendly and unpleasant guy in the whole hotel.
As for the rest of the staff except the morning receptionist and the high breakfast waiter who are friendly and friendly the rest are dry, unfriendly. They work totally demotivated.
Finally the breakfasts are with tretabrik juices, a watery coffee and with very little assortment. You're lucky and you find a free table.
Seen the seen we have still been "lucky" have rooms in a kind of semi-basement. We were on the second floor.
We will NEVER go back
I do not recommend it to ANYONE

Wouldn't return. The room was not as advertised, it was much smaller than the photos indicated. There were strange marks on the wall and headboard.
We booked with agaoda who gave us the option to have a twin. However upon arrival we were told rather rudely by the staff that if we wanted a twin we should have booked one. The booking issue was on agoda, but the concierge could have dealt with it less rudely.

A pleasant hotel with atypical charm. The rooms in the basement have the right to a nice view of work. Located not far from the house of Alfred Hitchcock and close to 2 metro stations. It was a pleasant discovery and experience to sleep in this hotel where the breakfast buffet is good and generous.

Booked a room for a family of 4 only to arrive from New York and be told that that they no longer had a room available for us because they changed over their I.T. software and somehow we got overlooked!!. It took close to two hours of convincing the receptionist that we should be given a room (It was 11am) and that somebody else needs to get the bad news as they arrive later in the day and all this time my wife and young kids were sitting in the rental car outside the hotel. We finally were given a tiny 1 bedroom with only 2 small beds in the attic floor so my wife and two daughters sleep in one bed together. The next day our friends from Ireland who had joined us at the same hotel (& booked the same night we did) complained until the give us a better room the next morning.
Bathroom was tiny and you couldn t stand in front of the mirror while shaving because the shower door was tight up against the sink.
I agree that that price was really good for this fantastic area of London but never again will I risk cost over comfort when traveling such distance.

My experience:

My experience:
I have been recently staying at this hotel. Exactly from Thursday May 9 to Sunday May 12.
The hotel is located in a nice and quiet area close to the metro station. It is an old building that has not been restored. The windows do not close well and the traffic noise is heard early in the morning.
The curtains in the room are sliding strips that let in a lot of light.
The small and minimalist furniture rooms so sometimes you do not know where to put things.
The toilet reduced.
Varied breakfast and attentive staff.

Really the lowest hotel.

Really the lowest hotel.
It is better not to make a reservation. A room that is not comfortable even if you change the room three times. The windows are broken and the wind is coming in. The next room is noisy and the room is noisy.
Finally, if I thought that the third room would be okay, the water heaters in the hotel's rooms were all on the shaft of my room, and every time someone used the shower, I was irritated. Really no longer. I gave up already in the third time. Really low level

If I could Zero star.i would.
I changed my room 2 times.
First of all, In basement room window was already broken, easy to throughout cold air and noisey outside voices.
So changed another room.
Secondly,
Shower room's fan was weired.can't turn off.so noisey. So, I changed another room again.
3rd.its safe room.
But, when people use a shower,
My room's nearly (part of my room) pomp machine makes noise.
Unbelievable.i've never stay such a bad hotel ever.

Well the truth is that it is a very central little hotel to get to London by subway, the first subway is earls court and it is magnificent this way near the street like five hundred meters, the little hotel is small but cozy, it has a magnificent breakfast with Free buffet and a magnificent halls where you can read a good book accompanied by a good wine.

Room small but clean and tidy. Good location. Close to Glos Road tube and a huge Sainsbury food store and restaurants near tube station.
Pros: 47 GBP for one night. Very good deal. I needed a place to stay for a business meeting at 8.30am
Cons: Suggest the hotel install a microwave in the downstairs seating area for guests.
The reception said they would microwave what I wanted in the kitchen, so I bought a TV dinner from supermarkets and ate it in the hotel eating area. Saves money.
