This is a good hotel for having a drink and getting a bit away. We had some food ordered from the bar. The help was great but the food was marginal. I have had business lunched here previously and the bar food was not up to lunch standards.

The hotel is well placed on a Freeway exit and close to Hollywood Boulevard, Melrose, Bel Air ... The setting is nice with a lovely communal pool. It is clean enough. But beware the big fault is the rooms on the upper part of the hotel to the pool rooms are very poorly soundproof and there is a kind of condemned door between 2 rooms and you hear very well neighbor, and parking and people in the hallways. Do not recommend if you want to sleep in peace, at least the part towards the swimming pool ...
Chose this hotel as it was the closest one to AJU, and was surprised to find a prestige hotel, fantastic service, nice big rooms and a lovely pool area. Another surprise was the FANTASTIC restaurant they have, great fresh food and fair prices. Only challenge is that there are two buildings- with significant distance up hill- and you have to Choose which facilities you prefer being close too. Also, parking rates are outrageous for a place where you don t have other options.
Service was exceptional. 4 stars only because of small dining hall, lacks privacy (probably was due to construction if other eating area). We were welcomed warmly and waiter had good recommendations throughout. I had the Miso Glazed Black More
I had dinner at the Luxe for my grandparents' anniversary. Excellent service and absolutely delicious food. It was by far the fanciest restaurant I've ever been to.
Nice setting, would be great for meetings. Dinner was alright, nothing to complain too much about. Rooms were fine, need some cosmetic touch ups but did the job. Can be difficult to get to in rush hour traffic so plan accordingly.
We have given almost all of our meeting business to Luxe Summit for 16 years. It is a beautiful location, the hotel is luxurious and fairly quiet. The staff has always bent over backwards to see that everything is perfect. Many of our participants fly-in and stay on the property. They have always been happy. Finding a partnership like this is difficult for businesses such as Inspired Work. Everyone that we work with at the Luxe is a full partner and we are fortunate.
My stay at Luxe was exceptional. The staff made me feel right at home as soon as I got there. I would very much recommend considering this for your next stay in LA
Where do I start my girlfriend and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel and we were very disappointed. The 2nd night my girlfriend started getting a rash the house cleaning didn't clean our room. By the 3rd night we found throw up on the bed skirt. And then when we complained to the manager he lied and said the women that cleaned our room couldn't find the throw up. Strange because we have pictures of it. I then went on to get ahold of the GM who over sees this hotel and never got a response back. Overall stay away from this hotel. The rooms are not kept clean and they do not take care of their costumers!!
Hotel where luxury and comfort are the hosts. The hotel is very large so that is divided on several streets and on several levels. The staff is all of a high standard and very friendly. The prices are of course luxury even for people like me who has spent only two nights there. The view of some rooms as mine was all over Los Angeles. The beds are comfortable and the room service excellent.
Clean and spacious rooms. Nice foliage. A bit annoying that the amenities are located in a separate building. Also kind of far from any place within walking distance.
Was welcomed by a very rude valet. He instructed my driver to pull away from the front doors which didn't make sense because I told him I was checking in. I then had to get my own bag out of the car. On the bright side, the manager, Tiffany, took my complaint about my welcome very seriously. Unfortunately I never felt welcomed or comfortable the rest of the week. The view in my room was fantastic. My bathroom was too small to blow dry my hair. The other two people I traveled with had amazing bathrooms though. The food and service in the bar and breakfast cafe was wonderful. Half the rooms are in a separate building that you have to take a golf cart to which was very inconvenient. There are so many great luxury hotels in LA so I would keep looking if you want that type of experience.
i pulled in and was approached by a simple gentle man , nice and kindly said there is only valet parking . Very Clean , spacious , and the food was great . check out there events too. Thanks to my friends wang and his lady ALL LOVE BRO
Nice venue for the event that I attended, with boh outdoor and indoor meeting areas, at least five conference rooms, and pleasant surroundings. Would attend again!
The customer service here is second to none. Seriously, the best I've ever experienced. That's the reason I stay here every time I visit LA. The hotel itself is a little dated in terms of architecture but the rooms are clean and well appointed.
The service from the people at the front desk is absolutely perfect. The food is okay, the location is great. The beds and the pillows are not that comfortable
Extremely high prices for what you get. Parking is valet and of course that means you have to wait 5-10 minutes for your vehicle to be brought to you. In-room dining was fair.
Cute boutique hotel. Odd layout with upper and lower buildings, but manageable. Rooms are very spacious, clean. Very modern with a tablet in each room acting as a clock/alarm with easy digital access to the front desk, valet, room service and housekeeping.
We stayed in an apartment-size room at Luxe with two beds covered in comfy-SMOOTH, high-thread sheets and noticed tablets that welcomed you in your name which operated like the screen on the backseat of a Virgin America flight, i.e., amenities at your beck and call: turndown service, refresh the minibar, yoga mats, room service, towels, dry-cleaning, etc., etc., etc! Food from OnSunset was delish and the lounge had just the right ambience for a private nightcap. Most of all, ALL of the hotel staff were most gracious and so helpful. They even gave us a ride to nearby Bel-Air Lounge for midnight dinner/drinks, just to save us an Uber ride. Thank you, Luxe! The experience was a great birthday gift!
Very beautiful hotel nice service everything was perfect. The location is quite but very beautiful and close to everything with the traffic always in the opposite direction!
We had reserved a family room / double room with two queen size beds. Due to overbooking we only got a king size bed and two pull out beds (the latter were not available upon arrival and had to be requested again). Also, there were only two sets of towels and coffee. Friendly and professional staff. Very roomy and luxurious bathrooms. Well equipped gym. Friendly and professional staff.
My new favorite Los Angeles hotel. Convenient location just off the 405 on Sunset, it feels very resort-like and private. Rooms are spacious, pool is nice. Easy for valet to get your car - often as not they could just point to it as the upper lot was that small.
This is huge for me, as in most LA luxury hotels (Four Seasons, Shutters) getting your car can be a 15 - 20 minute production and my schedule often has me coming and going several times a day.
Hardly ever saw another guest, which was fine- I was not there on vacation and enjoyed the sense of seclusion - the hotel sits on 7 acres and feels very private. The rooms are enormous too, nicely and intelligently furnished (e.g. there is plenty of dresser space, the bathroom has extra towels stored in a cabinet, the lights did not require a tutorial to work.)
Staff was super helpful, old school level of service, could not do enough for you yet it did not become obsequious. Definitely go for the upper wing, by the pool, as the lower wing often has parties of various sorts and a very different vibe.
Only caveat is that traffic backs up around rush hour since the entrance to the 405 is so close. But traffic is a citywide hazard in LA, you've just got to plan your day around it.
A professional, reputable, and excellent crew like Mark was awesome to deal with. I was truly impressed by how He handled the service correctly with no hassles at all. I won't forget to tell all of my co-workers and relatives about this hotel for sure. No hidden charges compared to others as well. Try their services and you won t regret it for sure. Outstanding place!
This hotel is conveniently located by the freeway. My overall experience at the hotel for the room was great, I would definitely come back. Pro: Able to request early check in and late check out . Friendly staff and spacious room. Outside patio is a plus. Clean, reasonably priced compared, and hot water runs well. Con: Outside patio isn't sectioned out. Guest from other room can technically open your screen door if you dont lock it. The hotel has 2 buildings upper and the main. Valet accordingly to the room you are staying either upper or main. You need to push down the bathroom toilet due to low pressure.
The following is a snippet of my Luxe Hotel Review:Bar Service At The Luxe Sunset Hotel
Around 10:20 pm the few groups of people at the bar area have left.
At 10:25 p.m. the bartender is asking us to close our tab.
A few minutes later the bartender thanks my girlfriend for her generous tip and offers us a couple of to-go boxes.
We tell the bartender that we would like to sit here and finish our meal.
The bartender agrees to our request and then vanishes.
Several minutes pass and a bell staff walks into the bar and turns off the lights in the back of the bar and darkens the already lowly dimmed lights.
A minute later another Luxe Sunset Hotel employee brings out a vacuum cleaner with a long bright long yellow cord attached, and he parks the vacuum cleaner within five feet of us.
My girlfriend and I both look at each other in disbelief.
Hello, we had just purchased two bottles of wines and numerous food items from the Luxe Hotel bar, it is not yet 11:00 p.m. and the night staff employees are rolling out their vacuum cleaner.
A woman who was at the bar earlier comes back into the bar area to order a drink.
Where is the bartender she asks us?
We tell her the bartender has left.
The woman is disappointed by the bar s early closure.
We inform her the staff has already brought out the vacuum cleaner standing next to her to chase us out.
She shakes her head and then goes to the front desk to try to obtain bar service. She does not prevail.
Several another late check-in party s scopes out the bar for service.
My girlfriend and I continue to chat about the terrible customer service and the vast sums of income the Luxe Sunset Hotel is not receiving. Being Kicked Out Of The Bar At The Luxe Sunset Hotel
It is unbelievable that fifteen minutes later a Luxe Sunset Hotel an employee turns off the light on us and then tells us, ladies, it is time to go.
I would like to note that we strongly felt if we were men we would never have been treated this way!
We tell the man that we have not finished our meal and we still have a bottle of wine.
His brazen reply, well it is time for you to go.
I am shocked and I ask him for his name.
The discourteous man, I should write jerk, offers a sarcastic pronunciation of his name and gives me a contemptuous look.
In a bit of shock, I stare at him and ask him to repeat his name, so he decides he will loudly and tactlessly spell his name for me.
I then request a to-go box for our appetizers from him.
Curtly, he says the hotel does not have any to-go boxes.
My girlfriend and I decided to consolidate the remainders of our three appetizers onto one plate and take the plate and our bottle of wine to our room.
The next day, we enjoy a delicious breakfast in the Lux Sunset Hotel restaurant.

Thin walls/balcony windows. I was able to hear footsteps in the hall on their wood floors. Also was able to hear conversations of people walking by the outside of the balcony. Slow drain in the shower. Chromecast feature on TV didn't work and never got fixed when I called front desk about it. Charged my card twice upon checking out cause their system froze up and said I need to call my bank to resolve the double charge. Stayed Feb 5-10, 2020.
It's right off the 405, and i was a little worried about road noise, but it was very quiet in the rooms which were nice and the pool was great too! Location is nice too, close to everything!
Nice rooms, heated pool, good restaurant. Only strange thing was that you have to hike up a steep hill to get to pool area and some rooms (but to be fair they do provide free shuttle up and down hill).
We stayed in a very nice suite in the upper building. The room was great, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and luxurious. Only drawback were that the shower water pressure was very low and that since the room was facing the freeway, it was fairly noisy, even with the patio door closed.
We had to evacuate our Porter Ranch home yesterday because of the fire. Hotels were booked solid over the entire Valley and not one offering any discounts to those displaced. Then I called The Luxe Hotel on Sunset and they were able to take us and they were offering amazing discounted rates for Porter Ranch citizens. The hotel was amazing. Clean, gorgeous, beautiful rooms. The staff were all incredible. After an incredibly stressful day, we were so happy to have such a magnificent place to stay. When we woke up, we had breakfast in the hotel, which was also amazing. Couldn't be more grateful to The Luxe Hotel and their staff for their incredible hospitality.
ey offered an incredible discount to anyone dioaced I'
This is a very lush hotel from first glance but there are quite a few amenities that either are sub par or non existent/inoperable (lack of Jacuzzi, no controls to heat pool and placement location towels which were not heated as claimed in description as well as exercise equipment not in working order). I was wrote disappointed but who can complain when the room was all expenses paid..
