I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Lee in September 2019. Dr. Lee was very friendly, personable, and professional throughout the experience. In terms of the administrative experience with phone calls, setting appointments, and other logistics, I was helped primarily by Kelsey. Kelsey was extremely thorough, diligent, and flexible when it came to working with my insurance. I couldn t recommend their team more. My experience was great!

My daughter had a jaw surgery done by Dr. Walline last June19. He made it a pleasant experience. Dr Walline did an excellent job. My daughter is still very swollen but she loves her bite already and I love how she looks now despite the swelling. Jacquie, the patient coordinator made the proceess smooth and pleasant. She's the perfect person for the job at this place and did an awesome service to my daughter and me. Danielle, her nurse and Dr. Ganzberg her anesthesiologist are awesome. Over all I 110% recommend this place.
My daughter (13) had to have her lower wisdom teeth out as they were impacted on her 12 year molars. She and I were both anxious but were put to ease immediately after talking to Dr. Lee and his very friendly staff. The day of the procedure was as easy as it could go and the recovery was better than both my daughter and I expected. If/when my son or daughter need other wisdom teeth out, Dr. Lee will be the first phone call.
My dental journey has been extremely difficult, and I have had to deal with many traumatic experiences and unfriendly staff. Going here has been one of the best decisions I've made. It was a very personal and peaceful experience. The staff is extremely generous, and I was in shock when they remembered me, after only going there once before, and for not being able to return for over a year to continue my plan due to some personal financial issues. Jacquie is the most amazing person, and she doesn't make it feel like you are just a number. She sat with me, and with no rush she had open ears and the most caring personality. She is so funny and genuine I almost forgot I was at a Dr's office. She is a big reason I did not give up on my dental journey. As for Dr. Walline he has the most welcoming presence, and made me feel very comfortable. He has great communication and is really friendly and professional. You can tell he is very passionate about what he does, and made me feel very confident. I was so happy to have this amazing experience. This place is fantastic, and I highly recommend this office for anyone looking to have an all around great experience with a such a great staff!

It s been 7 days since my surgery and I have no more pain, I can already eat, and my swelling has gone down. They not only were there every step of the way but gave me the best instructions to have the best recovery possible. Amazing people and an amazing worth ethic and it shows. Thank you so much again.

My daughter had lower jaw surgery with Dr Relle in May 2019. We are so happy we decided to go with him even though he was out of network and we live in San Jose, CA so we had to travel to LA. It was absolutely worth it. We saw many surgeons and he is the BEST. The pre-surgery, surgery and post -surgery were all handled with utmost care. The team is very responsive and Janet was super helpful in helping us schedule the surgery date, answering all our questions and helping with insurance coverage. Dr Walline also assisted in the surgery and it was great to know that there's more than one great jaw surgeon on the team. I highly recommend them.

I got double jaw surgery this past winter and not only am I extremely happy with the results, but the entire experience surpassed my expectations. I d been told this by multiple professionals before, but can confirm that Dr. Relle is truly the best. Not only did he perform the surgery, but went above and beyond to address other related issues as well. His attention to detail, precision, and wisdom all point to his experience and mastery of the craft, while his caring, calm demeanor instilled confidence and put my family and I at ease. I was lucky to live in the general vacinity, but no matter what country or planet you live on, if you need jaw surgery, Dr. Relle is your guy.

tl;dr I would highly recommend Dr Lee and his team, I had an excellent experience and minimal recovery time.
I'd procrastinated far too long getting my wisdom teeth out. With my experience under the care of Dr Lee and his staff, I need not have worried.
The operation was quick and clean, one partly impacted lower tooth and one upper easily pulled directly. Dr Lee counciled me on the reasonability of pulling the others and we decided to leave them be.
They worked with me to understand the costs of the surgery, which ones were covered by insurance and what I was expected to owe. The entire process was well laid out and thorough in addition to helping me feel at ease about the financial expense.
The surgery went without fanfare or real comment, simply being put out mid conversation which felt comfortable and reassuring.
The recovery process itself was an exercise in following directions and eating carefully. There was minimal swelling in my case, at least partly due to the instructions, but also Dr Lee's skill in removing the partially impacted tooth.
The numbing anesthesia wore off after the first day, but a local one per tooth had been applied that spared me the first three days of pain. After that regularly taking the non-opioid painkillers and following instructions led to a far better than expected recovery and and overall better experience.
We had an amazing experience here! My daughter had impacted canines that required a surgical procedure. From beginning to end, we received the red carpet treatment. The staff and Dr.'s were both warm and informative. A few days after the procedure, we had a small complication (not the fault of the Dr.) that was dealt with on the SAME DAY, within the hour! We couldn't be happier.
Great experience all around! Dr Walline performed four wisdom teeth extractions on my wife. He was very professional and even called my wife later that day personally to make sure she was doing alright. The real hero though was the treatment coordinator Jacquie Wiltshire, who specifically made this a wonderful experience for myself and my wife. My wife was getting her wisdom teeth removed and we had tried multiple places who said they were "in network" and turned out not to be. I had Dr. Lee as my wisdom tooth surgeon. I had been around to some other places and had left consultations confused and unsure about what the outcome of my surgery (3 impacted teeth and one fully grown) would be. Dr Lee addressed all my concerns (I m a brass musician and was worried about potential nerve damage to my bottom lip), and had me confident (and not anxious) going through the full process. The surgery went perfectly as well. He and his staff were amazing from the beginning through the follow up appt after the surgery, and I can t thank them enough!! They answered my questions in person and over phone, and we re there for whatever I needed. Plus the facility is nice, and is undergoing improvements to be even nicer. 12/10 would recommend. Thanks!!

I had a good experience at the hospital, I received surgery on both my upper and lower jaws. I was there over night and wasn't able to sleep unfortunately. The nurses took very good care of me and my surgeon Doctor Walline did great! Hospitals are definitely rough to be in, but this one did a good job making me feel comfortable and taken care of!

I was looking to get my wisdom teeth removed for quite a while. After doing some research in who is the best LACOMS is hands down the best practice to get your wisdom teeth removed at! I saw it online before I went in and now after my surgery I can say that it s all true.

I wish every Dr. was like DR JAY LEE. Dr. Lee is not only an outstanding person, but as a Dr. his work just speaks for itself. Dr. Lee is an extremely smart, nice, and trustworthy dr. He explained every last detail of the surgery to me, didn t even charge me for he extra CT scan I had to get. The morning of the surgery I went in and got all 4 wisdom teeth removed in 35 min and recovered in literally 3 days.

Dr. Lee and nurse Val were amazing. I ve consulted with 3 other oral surgeon for my supernumerary impacted tooth which was very near the nerve and it was only Dr. Lee who made me feel comfortable to pursue with the extraction. When I was told I needed an immediate extraction of one of my wisdom teeth I was very nervous. I never had any of my wisdoms removed and feared the stories I heard about an extraction in your forties being a big deal in terms of the surgery AND recovery. Thanks to Dr. Lee, Val, and all of the great staff at LACOMS I was immediately put at ease in the consultation. More importantly, I had an ideal experience with the extraction. It was quick, easy, and I felt no pain. In the following days I had no swelling, discomfort, or complications in my recovery. I had double jaw surgery with genioplasty in May 2019 with Dr. Walline to correct my underbite. Out of work for 2 weeks, on a soft food/non chew diet for 8 weeks, and did Invisalign for pre/post op rather than braces.
Experience was fantastic. Recovery went smoothly and I'm very happy with the results. Really glad I went with LACOMS and Walline. Jacquie, the doctor's treatment coordinator, is really great as well.
Keep in mind this office only accepts out-of-network PPO regardless of insurance. Worth every penny though.

Dr. Relle was recommended to me by two very respected orthodontists in the LA area for a potential jaw surgery. I waited at least 2 months to see him for a consultation and he is totally WORTH IT!!!! He did my upper jaw surgery and all I will say is that he's the BEST of the best surgeon I have ever come across. He's very talented especially in my case when precision is an absolute must. He has a keen eye for perfection and beauty as the surgery created a more youthful look to my face. Although I was doing the surgery for a better bite, I was grateful for his ability to predict the esthetics outcome as precise as he did. Aside from his talent, he's very warm and caring. He constantly followed up with me after the surgery to make sure I was doing well and at each post-op appointment he always made sure I was healing and comfortable.
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Relle and his staff when it comes to a major decision such as orthognathic surgery. Everyone in the office is very kind and happy. He also has an in-house anesthesiologist who is also super awesome and makes general anesthesia feels like a breeze. LACOMS made wisdom tooth removal as easy as it possibly could be. Getting the initial consultation and X-Rays, and the following wisdom teeth extraction was all complete within a week of my first call.
The LACOMS team was incredibly helpful with scheduling and assisting with insurance coverage/setting up a payment plan for the remaining uncovered costs. I was pretty nervous for the actual surgery and recovery, but Dr. Lee and his team made the whole process a breeze. The nurses were very comforting prior to the operation as this was my first time receiving any anesthesia and I was noticeably worried. After the IV line was placed, Dr. Lee put on some music and I passed out mid-sentence shortly after. I woke up some time later and was given some recovery instructions and then I was all done. I had all four wisdom teeth removed, and to prepare I took three days off of work for recovery. The swelling had drastically gone down in the first day and I was in little to no pain for the following three days with non-opioid pain meds (ibuprofen), which made my time off feel like a mini-vacation. I assume this is due to Dr. Lee's and the entire surgical team's skill and experience in wisdom tooth removal, as I have heard some horror stories about the recovery period. The follow up exam was quick and easy, and I was pretty much back to normal a week after the procedure. Overall, I can't over-exaggerate how easy Dr. Lee and LACOMS made this whole process. I highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for wisdom tooth extractions! Thanks to the whole team!
After seeing my dentist who advised me I had an infected wisdom tooth that needed to be removed immediately. I received a call from Dr. Lee's office at 8:15am to tell me they would see me that afternoon! The doctors were at a symposium but Dr. Lee came back specifically for me. I was fearful of having the extraction of an infected wisdom tooth especially after Dr. Lee told me he didn't advise putting me to sleep for my safety. He assured me it would be a quick and easy procedure. He was right! I didn't feel anything, he was done in 5 minutes and the ear pain and headache I had been experiencing disappeared immediately. I've had this procedure done before elsewhere and it was a horrible experience. Not the case here!!! Gerry was amazing as well and was very patient and comforting understanding how much pain I was in. The entire front office staff were attentive and efficient too. Definitely will be the place I go to if the need arises again!

When you wake up, you won t have an underbite , is what Dr. Relle said to me as I was rolled into the surgery room. He smiled and introduced himself. Dr. Walline was studying his notes and diagrams which were taped all over the walls of the surgical room. The team propped my head, starting the drugs into my IV and as I nervously took deep breaths, I knew with each inhale and exhale that I was closer to my life changing forever. When I woke up, I was tired, but not very swollen. I could tell immediately that the surgery was a great success as the nurses and my mother expressed their disbelief. The swelling wasn t bad at all for the first 24 hours, but by the second day the swelling came, as expected for double jaw surgery. I had no pain. I don t recall taking any pain meds on the 3rd day (Day 1 and 2 painkillers were just given through my IV). I experienced no pain in my jaw or mouth; it was just that the back of my head was killing me from how they have to tie you down on the surgery table so that they can ensure excellence . On their website that is what LACOMS claim, and I can say that with Dr. Walline, excellence is what they achieve. The only pain I experienced was in my throat from scratches from the endotracheal tube (which happens in all if not most surgeries) and the pain in the back of my head. It was all manageable. I only needed the prescribed pain killers on a few occasions, mostly to sleep due to being uncomfortable. By Day 7, I was feeling good and no longer had a headache. After that everything got better.
Overall, I had an amazing experience with Dr. Walline and his staff. I do not believe that my surgery could have been performed to any greater degree of perfection. It is obvious that Dr. Walline is passionate about what he does; and he is skilled. He studies meticulously, he has a wealth of experience and good hands, and he is the person to go to for double jaw surgery. The feeling of biting into food like normal is so satisfying. I can eat much better now. I can close my mouth. I even breathe differently. I can chew food without it falling out of my mouth. I can eat pizza, sandwiches, apples, anything; and it is no longer a struggle to bite down on my food using my bottom teeth and my tongue. I can go out and eat in public and not feel embarrassed. I can smile with confidence. I can talk and flirt with women without letting a Class III malocclusion hold me back from being myself. Before my surgery, I never wanted to smile. I never wanted to talk and avoided eating many foods because I couldn t. I cannot thank Dr. Walline and his staff enough for improving my quality of life. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for being blessed to have found a surgeon like Dr. Walline. I d also like to thank Jacquie and Karen for all their help and support. LACOMS staff strives to make all of their patients feel like family. That is exactly how I felt. I am very particular about the people I see for any type of dentistry/teeth issue. I received a great recommendation from my primary dentist for Dr. Walline and she was right on the money. I needed a dental implant and was very nervous as this would be an entirely new experience, but the entire LACOMS staff and Dr. Walline were wonderful. I arrived on the doorstep of the Los Angeles Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery after suffering devastating results while I was in the care of a dentist who left my teeth in much worse condition than when he found them. After suffering through failed crowns, infections, ongoing pain, and teeth falling out on a regular basis, I arrived at the Los Angeles Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Center in both dental distress and emotional distress. Thanks to the Center s supportive environment and the superb work of Dr. Stephen Kupferman, DMD, MD, FACS and the surgical assistants and other healthcare providers who worked with him, my teeth have returned to health and I am able to wake up in the morning without worry that I will look like a jack-o-lantern by the end of the day. Most importantly, I can go through the day without embarrassment and with the comfort of knowing that I can smile freely and broadly without hesitation.

Got my wisdom teeth removed here a week earlier - all around great experience! My teeth were bothering me, so the front desk called me in for a consultation day of, and later that week got my wisdom teeth removed!
Dr. Lee did a fantastic job - my recovery is going smoothly, and after the surgery, he texted me to make sure I was doing all right! The staff was really kind and dealt with my anxiety really well. Getting your wisdom teeth extracted isn't the most pleasant experience, but LA COMS made it as comfortable as possible - really glad I went here for the surgery
Dr. Kupferman and the staff (Ruth in particular) were incredibly kind, friendly and competent regarding an issue that arose suddenly and required immediate attention. A very pleasant experience from the first phonecall to follow up calls pre- as well as post surgical procedures.
All 3 professional doctors have a great "bedside manner."
Every question and possible concern were throughouly addressed even before I could ask it.
I had the opportunity to meet each doctor individually & "picked their brain."
Jacquie; Ruth and Janet in the Front Office are very personable; caring & compassionate "going well beyond the call of duty.
A few days before the procedure the office thoroughly went through the details (pre-op) even after the Dr. went over it and the Hospital went over the as well. This office is hiring competent; educated, caring Professionals.
During my few day stay in the hospital (the surgeons Dr. Walline & Dr. Relle stopped by to check on me even twice a day if I was asleep due to the medication.

If I hated waited any longer to address my sleep apnea issues (4) different doctors tpld me I wouldn't be here to watch my young daughter grow up nor be writing this review.
I will admit the aftercare can be quite tedious (due to food restrictions post surgery)
however, since June I'm down over 125lbs; down to a 32inch waist, keeping it off and literally none of my clothes fit.

My son has needed multiple operations and therefore we have visited several times during the last few years.
During the initial consultation, Dr. Walline is patient and makes sure to answer any questions as well as listen to and provide thoughtful responses to your concerns. The administration staff are very helpful with billing and other pre-operation details.
A few days before the surgery the staff and doctor(s) will call to review the procedure as well as the pre-op instructions - which is very helpful.
On surgery day, it is normal to feel a bit anxious about the upcoming procedure. Dr. Walline, the other doctors, the nursing staff, as well as the front office staff are wonderful about welcoming your and making you feel comfortable. Jacquie really goes beyond the call to ensure that everyone is taken care of during the process - even the parents.
During each of my son's recoveries the nursing staff were so caring. The Post-op instructions were reviewed and they even provided a bag of recovery supplies - which really helped with the initial days of recovery at home. After each surgery, the Dr. took the time to make a follow up call in the evening to make sure that my son was feeling well and we didn t have any concerns.
We are so happy to have found Dr. Walline and the staff of LA COMS
After a lifetime of of poor sleep quality (for myself and anyone in the same room with me because of my snoring!) I was able to finally achieve a good night's rest - and no snoring! All of this is thanks to Dr Walline and the entire LACOMS team (special shout outs and thanks to treatment coordinator Jacquie and assistant Karen!).
If I could sum my entire experience with LACOMS into one word, it would be: Superb!
Background
I am 48 years old. Until this week, I spent my entire life with a significantly underdeveloped lower and slightly underdeveloped upper jaw (read: huge overbite and no chin). This condition impacted the quality of my sleep, my breathing, and overall physical appearance. Earlier this year I was referred to Dr Walline at LACOMS by my Orthodontist (360 Orthodontics - full disclosure: I work at 360 Orthodontics as Director Of Operations).
Consult Day
Dr Walline and the entire staff at LACOMS did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable throughout consult day. The office itself is modern, bright and inviting. They performed some very sophisticated scans and took models of my teeth, all resulting in Dr Walline being able to show me a before/after prediction of what I would look like after the surgery. I have to tell you during this part I nearly fell out of my chair, so surprised was I by how much more improved my appearance would be after the surgery (I will try to post a few pictures along with this review). I was also astounded by how restricted my airway was and the prospect of improving my airway.
The Run Up to Consult Day
My surgery was scheduled for a few months after my consult (mostly due to my own scheduling needs) and during this time I was incredibly impressed with how well Dr Walline coordinated and communicated with my orthodontist. It was clear to me that my entire treatment planning process was a combined effort between my surgeon (Dr Walline) and my orthodontist (Dr Partovi). Jacquie, the LACOMS treatment coordinator I worked with is very deserving of a mention here as well. Jacquie made the process of navigating the insurance industry and all the paperwork and logistics required for this type of surgery a breeze! Jacquie was highly communicative with me during this phase and kept me feeling confident the entire way.
Surgery Day
LACOMS has a state-of-the-art surgical center right at their office, and this is where I elected to have my surgery. I arrived at 6am and the entire pre-op team made me feel very comfortable and confident during the waiting period. I especially want to call out the anesthesiologist, Dr Ganzberg. He was awesome! (he even called me the day prior to surgery to answer any questions and make sure I was prepared for surgery day). We had some laughs and he really put me at ease during that nervous time right before going into surgery.
Post-Op Recovery and Results
(as of this writing, I am on day 7 of post operative recovery)
I woke up from surgery feeling better than I expected (groggy of course) and was transported to a post-operative recovery facility called "Serenity" in Santa Monica. There are several after-care options available, depending on the type of surgery you have, etc. In my case, I needed 24 hours of care and can say that I HIGHLY recommend Serenity (I'll have to do a different review on this place as they are not directly affiliated with LACOMS). Since then, my post-operative recovery has been nothing short of excellent. Very little pain. Very little discomfort. I attribute most of this to the excellent surgical skills of Dr Walline and his team. A positive attitude doesn't hurt either!
Today (day 7) I completed my first post-op appointment with Dr Walline. This visit was like all the others, superb and I left feeling like I had made the best decision by placing my trust in LACOMS. My swelling is minimal and I am so very happy with the results.
I would give LACOMS my highest possible recommendation. My thanks and gratitude to them for this life changing procedure!

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed, and I had cleared my whole calendar for the week to prepare for recovery. Truth is, I probably could have gone back the day after, because even taking no medication other than ibuprofen, I was experiencing no pain at all. The scheduling and procedure itself was also very quick -- the total time from my initial consultation to my teeth being out was barely a few weeks.
Bottom line is -- if you need your wisdom teeth out, this center will get it done fast and right.
Dr. Lee and Val were great. I broke my jaw and from the first ER visit and surgery, through the wired jaw shut process, to the removal, they were great and friendly. Explained everything very thoroughly and made sure I felt comfortable. Despite a horrible accident, they made the entire process extremely easy and bearable. Highly recommend both of them and the entire LACOMS team.
I had a surgery today with Dr. Brittany Sonnichsen for my three wisdom teeth and she did a wonderful job, no bleeding no swelling!!! I love her work the clinic was clean and all staff were so nice and friendly
