Federal Circle many large flat area. One stage area. Mahyo walk up stairs backwards in short video. Byong.
If there is something or nothing you want, dont worry or hesitate, just go you can meet you are in melbourne fully as i usually did.
Best place to hang out with friends and family. Lots of activities happen across the year and the best part it has free wifi
you can almost see weekly events held by the city of Melbourne here, attractions, shows, open for public
One of the iconic places in Melbourne. Great spot to sit down and enjoy the views of early morning or late afternoon rush. You just need to find a seat across the Cathedral. The intersection really gets crowded with people, buses, and trams. If you're a tourist, its the place to go.
It is basically close to some of the popular CBD attractions so this is always a perfect spot to start your day tour.
The Wintergames 2018 could be watched live here. Nice place that is probably used more often for public events.
Outdoor open air broadcast during the Australian Open
Beautiful architecture, great restaurants and bars!
Federation square is place that looks like one with a lot of history around it. Just taking a walk along it makes one feel a mix of old architecture mixed with modern structures
Various events get organised here on regular intervals, mostly on weekends, or near the time of important festivals like Christmas, Diwali, New Year, etc. It has a stage for events and a large screen for displaying the live shows and informational/entertainment programs.
The perfect place to watch the Australian Open, if like me you couldn't afford the tickets.
Square kept well with a beautiful view of the city's atrazzioni
Such a great Architectural statement for Melbourne. Contains the NGV Australia and Centre for the Moving Images. Cafes, eateries, and bars. What a fantastic free display held at the federation square in Melbourne. Outlining film and television of an older era. It has interactive displays and games which all kids young and old would love. Well done to Melbourne for putting this on over the school holidays. This is a must see
Very busy central spot in the city. Always something happening here!
Public space for Melbourians, usually a big screen when international sports such as soccer/ football is on
Great place for anyone not wearing high heels... Good atmosphere any time of the day with random events.
A place with an open area, a big screen and lots for cafes, bars and restaurants. Taxi kitchen, beer delux and transport are some of the great places here
A great public space to hang out at, mostly they host various kind of festivals with cool activities and competitions, food stalls etc.
Love the architecture. A must visit when in Melbourne. Make sure you make time for the ACMI exhibitions. They are a must.

Unique only to Melbourne displaying architectural designs ahead of its time, offered exhibition hosting to countless events! A place to really go to experience the wonders and marvels offered only in Melbourne.
Design with a super soul ... but a weak result ... small structure and colors with little inherent ... Neither hot nor cold .. but you always switch
Great place to people watch. The live webcam was a fun place to do live video phone calls when I was there a few years ago.
I like it very much! In the morning, there is a big aunt and a yoga teacher doing yoga! Hahahaha~
A great place to grab a coffee, relax on the steps and watch the world go by
Not a bad little outdoor areas with a few cool things to look at. The museum had nothing to show sadly as they were renovating. There is a nice pub there and we were lucky enough to be there on Star Wars day (May the 4th) and met up with a few friends who were in costume. Also the X-Wing was on display!!
An iconic and vibrant place next to the CBD and the Yarra River. Lots of cafes and restaurants and surrounded with art gallery and museums, lots to do.
A nice place to hang out during the day and seemed reasonably popular at night too - the open fire that was there in June '16 was a nice touch on the cooler days/nights.
awesome place, lots of cultures here people from all over the world taking photos , smiling and eating and drinking , such a nice place to visit
Nice place to spend some time and have a rest or wander around to break up the day when visiting this lovely city.
It's a good meeting place, and to just chill but that's about it. The vibe will be a lot different now though with the Apple store, attracting people who are doing shopping.
Great place to visit this time of year with the Aus Open on. Awesome place to set up camp and watch the tennis live on the big screen with hundreds of others. A Melbourne icon
Right in the middle of the Melbourne City, it is the most convenience place in Melbourne. Fed Square has exhibitions, cafes, restaurants and even the Melbourne Central Railway Station right next to it.
The atmosphere is amazing. Perfect spot to stop by and chill for a while.
Love this place! Great meeting-spot. The architecture is pretty damn awesome and a must see when in Melbourne
Many cultural activities, full of place to eat and just share some time with friends and family.
A good place to look around and take a walk. But a bit crowded...
The heart of Melbourne, lots of free stuff happens here, check out the website for events, good bars and restaurants
It is a famous landmark in Melbourne! A relaxing square!
It s beautiful outside, but there s nothing to do here.
A sunny and breezy midday at 21degrees is a perfect summer Sunday! Taking in the sight and sound is pure magic.
Bob Brown trying to save the Tarkine/takayna at the Edge. What's not to love? Fabulous evening. Great cause. If you don't know what I'm talking about check out the Bob Brown Foundation.
Great architecture. Actually my favorite City in Oz.
One of Melbourne's architectural gems, a meeting and melting spot in the heart of the city. NGV, ACMI, bars, resturants and a great communial space.
I go to the Polish festival every year and i can't stop taking photos
It is such a beautiful place
It was absolutely fabulous during the multicultural festival.
Absolutely love fed square. There is always something onn. I got to see these crazy art installation there. It's right next to Flinders Street station and a great place to spend your day.
What an eyesore! Jeff Kennett had many good ideas, this was not one of them! In hindsight the Gas and Fuel Corp towers it replaced were not so unappealing after all. This 'square' reminds me of a scrap metal yard or a building demolition site. Apple's proposal offered a partial fix, now I just hope I live long enough to see the site raised once more, and replaced with a true square i.e. lawns, trees and water features etc
Best architectural marvel at Flinders City. Such an amazing exotic look for an engineering masterpiece close to the station. Easily accessible to all the travellers from different parts of the suburbs and the city. Easily accessible to all the wheelchair bound travellers in and around the city.
Lovely and pleasant place in the heart of Melbourne city. Love Melboune and definitely come back
It is a nice place to catch up with friends and experience some quality Australian entertainment.
Great movie theatre with foreign films. The tickets are also quite cheap so it made the family trip a little easier on the pocket!
I dont know who votes this the best square in the world, the city mayor!
Gingerbread village is just too good. It looks amazing, they gave made all Melbourne landmarks here. A must see.
One of Melbourne's great locations. Amazing place, great architecture and good atmosphere. It is so disappointing that Apple are coming and they are destroying what Fed Sqaure is. There are some great restaurants and ACMI is great (always showing unique films that are not offered elsewhere). Apple really could kill this place. Fingers crossed the public show their thoughts on Apple and they keep Fed Sqaure the place it is.
Yummy Memphis mini burger and refreshing raunchy grandma cider at Optic kitchen and bar. Perfect for cooling down on a hot afternoon while listening to live fair performance live band and watching time and people go by.
A wonderful space open to the public, with plenty of significant events throughout the year.
It is okay, however I have always thought of it being a missed opportunity.
A place where all age groups are available and an attractive giant screen if appropriate
At the heart of Melbourne .train staton. Wharf . Church Schools.business district and parks...restaurants ,pubs and cafe, malls and shopping centers.. name it..
