Heather the manager was surly and rude. She had no problem correcting paying customer 's but when we arrived on the rooftop the hostess was sitting down and didn't help us get seated the waiter finally came and helped. We seated ourselves. The waiter was wonderful, the food was good, but Heather needs to be trained on how to speak to guests. Won't go again...and I am moving to Gatlinburg.

Sadly I am giving one star!! This used to be our favorite restaurant when visiting Gatlinburg, but not anymore. We looked up their closing time on 3/3/19, it said they closed at 9 P.M. We walked over and arrived around 8 P.M. only to be told once we got to the top of the escalator they were closed. When we said we thought they closed at 9, the girl said, "Yeah, it's slow so we are closing early". But you still had people eating in your restaurant and staff delivering food to tables. So, we left and found another place to eat. We decided that since 3/5/19 was our last night in town, we would head over to Loco Burro and eat, keeping in mind what had happened a couple nights earlier, we arrived at 6:45 only to be greeted at the top of the escalator and told they were not serving food, they were closed for a private party. Not sure what time this party was supposed to start, but there was no one in the restaurant, completely empty except for staff. Almost got the impression that what we were being told was not completely true. Once again, we left and found us another place to eat. This was our last attempt to patronize their establishment. A simple sign on the door on both occasions would have been greatly helpful, or even a sign at the bottom of the escalator.

Hate to give bad reviews for service during all the changes staff have to undergo currently, but the servers were noticeably not enjoying their jobs. The place also didn't feel very sanitary compared to others restaurants I've visited since re-openings.

Aside from that, the food was delicious, and I'm willing to chalk the other negatives up to staff having a bad day.

What a great afternoon was spent here! We sat on the rooftop and really enjoyed the view of downtown Gatlinburg and the people walking down below. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to move 3 times till we found exactly where we wanted to sit! :) The staff was fun and friendly. The two of us ordered an appetizer, and wowzer, it was enough for 4 people! Plus they served chips and salsa and cheese dip before we even ordered!

Although we weren't able to sit rooftop, when our plata fiesta fajitas were brought out, the patron next to us was jealous! I couldn't begin to choose whether the steak, shrimp, or chicken was best! Would love to come back at a less busy time and try the 100 fl oz margarita.

Pushy kid who took the photos came back with the pictures as the food came out so didnt get to eat when it came then had to stop and do the review and by the time it was over i might have taken a bite or two of my food before leaving... Not thinking I didn't even fix the to go plate. So a while plate with 2 bites off of it was left on the table. The waiter was amazing and our drinks was good as well!!

Excellent Mexican food! Clean restaurant although a little warm (on a November evening). Staff was super nice. Get the taquitos and queso! Ground beef is cooked with minced peppers - chicken is more mild. Chips were thin and fresh. Salsa was perfect.

Probably THE best Mexican restaurant in Gatlinburg, in my opinion. The food was excellent and our waitress, can't remember her name, was awesome and we never had to ask for anything! If waitresses could get stars she would get 10!!!

Love this place. Never too crowded on week nights. Food and drinks are great. Rooftop bar and dining is the place to be (except during a storm). Wait staff have all been exceptional. Bianca (from Romania) waited on us last night (Monday 8/5/ 19). She was great. I even spoke a little Romanian I learned off my cell phone. She was impressed. Gatlinburg was busy as usual, but not like a weekend. You gotta check this place out.

Best quesadilla I've ever had. Ever. They let you try three sauces with their chips , and I loved them all (and I loved their mango margarite.) A very fun but also calm atmosphere. Friendly staff

Fun atmosphere & great decor. Food was okay hot, fresh, and pleasingly presented but the flavor combos on some entrees did not fit my liking(too sweet & too much breading on fried shrimp tacos).

Food was great. Service? Bad. I took my family to eat at this place and the server who's name was Christian got mad because I ask for a sever who speak Spanish (in a Hispanic restaurant!) because my mother doesn't speak English. I don't like service at all and I won't recommend this place to anybody.

Ate at Loco Burro tonight...rooftop bar, ordered some makers and The Big Texas dish! Absolutely amazing Mexican food! Herman in the kitchen is a master! Chris Timmons was our bartender/server our everything and I'm not sure what was better him or the food guy is hilarious and a pleasure to be in his company.

Pros: 5 stars for stellar quality fajitas. The beef was extremely tender and exceeded expectations. The re-fried beans were also extremely flavorful. Chips were perfectly thin and crisp.

Cons: The frozen margarita was plentiful, sugary, and tasty but the base liquor was seemingly cheap and tasted like rubbing alcohol. The prices were also sort of high which is why I rated this as four stars.

Despite the cons, you indeed get a lot of food and an overall good experience in relation to a lot of the other touristy spots in town.

The food is delicious, the drinks are tasty and the staff is amazing! They give you chips with some delicious salsa as soon as you sit down. The guacamole is great and the entrees not only taste great but are generously portioned. We loved this place!

Really fun atmosphere and the food is good. This place met all my expectations for a tourist-y Americanized Mexican restaurant. It's on the 2nd floor of the building and you have to ride an escalator to get there, which is pretty cool. If you're in Gatlinburg and craving generic Mexican food, this is the place to go.

Usually one of our favorite places to visit while in Gatlinburg. Unfortunately, the hostess at the rooftop area was accommodating when we asked to change tables due to the bad smell where we were sitting. We were just told no we had to stay where we were due to other people coming upstairs. We decided to leave since the hostess was unkind in her attitude. She The server was very apologetic and referred us to the manager who said she would take care of it. We may go back but not if that young lady is working. I'm sure the food was good, as always. We always love the chips and salsa.

Let me just start by saying they would get 5 stars BUT the cleanliness was really lacking! I understand they were packed but we sat at the tortilla bar and the counter was so sticky and looked like it hadn't been ripped down all night. The floors were covered in food and sticky stuff. When seated to our seat my shoes made a noise because of the sticky floors. Now the food was AMAZING! Closest to real authentic Mexican food as your gonna get on the east coast. Drinks were great! If the place was clean they would absolutely get a 5 star rating from me.

Best salsa and chips, table side guacamole, and steak fajitas I have ever had. Visit this restaurant everytime I am in Gatlinburg.
Fun atmosphere, and a nice rooftop bar to drink margaritas and people watch.

Excellent!

Excellent!

We got rooftop seating and it was nothing short of stellar. Server was great , and so was the restaurant. Make sure to try this restaurant next time in town.

Awful food, awful service. Barely touched my food, the server barely came to our table. Expensive as well. You re better off spending your money somewhere else where actual Latinos work instead of gringos.

We went in here for afternoon margaritas and they were AMAZING! I highly recommend their frozen strawberry margarita as it was super yummy and you could tell it had real fruit in it, not just a mix! The decor in this place was super sweer too and I bet the mechanical bull is fun on a busy night!

The food was mediocre, but our service was AWFUL. We went without refills on water and alcohol, one dinner didn t come out with everyone else s and there was no apology, no explanation, more like our server was annoyed that she had to walk back to the kitchen to check on it. We asked for more chips and salsa, TWICE, and never received it. And our server came back to check on us only one time, and it wasn t until we were all FINISHED eating. After she cashed us out, there was no thank you or have a nice day . Just dropped off our change and walked away. We had high hopes, but it was so bad I don t think we ll give it another chance.

Must try if you love Tex-Mex and are in Gatlinburg. The chips and salsa were great and freshly made. Our server was very friendly and understood our dietary restrictions. The overall vibe of the place is very chill. Arroz con Pollo is a must try!

I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants and this is near the top of the list for me!! The enchiladas i got were delicious, as were the rice and beans. The Fire & Ice Margarita was just the right amount of kick...I would for sure get it next time! Our server, Sierra, did a fantastic job even though the restaurant was very busy...thank you!! All in all, I will definitely be back!!

Good and the waiter was good. Paid to ride the bull and they were too busy to run the machine. Could have explained they were short staffed or what the problem was before we waited 20 min and no one answering us or coming to run the bull. Waste, cake here for the mechanical bull, not the food.

We sat down and got served the chips and salsa and the salsa tasted exactly like puke. Literally, just like liver bile. My girlfriend took a bite and said the same thing. We immediately left the place. She now has anxiety over 2 hrs later that we actually tasted puke. I am literally convinced the salsa had puke in it. Hands down the most awful thing i have ever experienced at a restaurant. My teeth even have the terrible acidic feel and aftertaste of vomit
