Below average food. I was expecting more authentic Mexican food. I ordered a Fajita Chicken Burrito and it had more beans than chicken. The house red salsa was good. Won't be going back. Also WAY overpriced.

We got here for everyone s birthday and they always have great to us! The roof top bar is phenomenal!! We love this place! I'm a local as well and this is one of the only reasons I go to the downtown area!!

Some of the worst Mexican food I have ever tasted. Salsa had little to no flavor. We took a chance based off some of the reviews and we were severely disappointed.

I absolutely love this place my favorite Mexican restaurant ever. We live about 2 hours away, but I would drive up there just to eat and come home.

My family were pleasantly surprised when we visited Loco Burro on a whim. The food was delicious! I would recommend the steak fajitas. The meat was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. We were in Gatlinburg for a long weekend and ended up eating there twice, we enjoyed it so much! They also make a mean sangria!

The food was horrible. Didn't think anyone could mess up fajitas or Mexican food in general but this is the worse tasting food ever. Over priced as well.

Great atmosphere, friendly service, and fantastic food! IMO the only thing overpriced was the fajitas, otherwise normal priced food and drinks. Three salsas brought with chips and they wet all good but the green sauce was my favorite. Two tacos vs. 3? You only need 2! Very filling. I had the brisket tacos and I was not disappointed.

So my wife ordered a chicken burrito bowl and got a taco salad at first then had them switch it out and brought a grilled chicken Cesar which wasn't even close to what she ordered and the chicken was raw, full of fat and gristle and body veins. After that we gave up and just told them take it completely off the bill so they messed up twice and the chicken was nasty. I got the steak fajitas which weren't too bad, almost seemed as they used the cheapest meat possible. But my 3 year olds mac n cheese was good and her fries. But other than that we'll never eat there again. Very disappointed and prices are a bit high for what you get. Chips and salsa were good so wasn't all bad.

Service and food was not up to their usual quality. Very disappointing!

The service wasn't very prompt and we sat there for a few minutes before a waitress came our way. The food was okay - overpriced in my opinion for the portion, but it seemed to be authentic Mexican food at least. I don't recommend the shredded chicken; it was more like chunks of chicken to me and slightly undercooked. Our waitress was attentive when my water was empty, but I had a hard time finding her when it was time to pay the bill. I'll try another restaurant next time I make the trip to Gatlinburg.

Great food and service...raspberry margarita was awesome!

Despite a dozen or more open tables and per the hostess a full wait staff. The only place they were willing to seat us, was at a hightop table sitting on (No back) bar stools. She then proceeded to tell me that I the customer didn't understand their method of seating and it would be a 40 min wait before I would be seated at one of the OPEN, clean, fully staffed tables.

The taste was good, but it came out lukewarm. Watching other plates that came out, nothing looked HOT.
The chips and salsa were fabulous! The service was good.
The rooftop patio was fun. We were under the canopy by the bar. We would have rather had a seat right on the rail up there, or on the 2nd floor.

A very popular place to go for some real tasty food with beer. Always lively and I liked the different seating arrangements for different corners. Usually there is some waiting on weekends but I'd say it's worth the waiting. The food was delicious and the staff super helpful. Make sure to ride the donkey !!

Decent place. They have a bull inside which would be fun. A friend of mine ordered chicken and when it came out it was still pink. Thankfully he didn't have to pay for it, but still lost his appetite biting into raw chicken. But they have Tequila out the wahoo if you are into drinking!

Delicious food, the best roof top seats with a view! We had the steak and chicken fajitas. The homemade salsa and guacamole were delicious! The service was good and the atmosphere, although busy, was pretty laid back.

Shut the front door, this place is amazing!!!!!! 10 stars!! We had the queso and also the 6 layer dip. The flavors are rich and super yummy. Both were FABULOUS. I cannot recommend Lovo Burro enough. Have mercy. My tacos were THE BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED!!!!! Homemade taco shells, so fresh and delish, seasoned ground beef with such flavor!!! My Mom and Dad had the Loco Nachos, and they ate every bite. Our server was Stephanie and she is awesome!! My husband had a carnitas chimichanga and loved it. The beans were excellent as was the rice. We are only in town for a short time but we are coming back tomorrow!!!

A must visit for Mexican dining while in Gatlinburg! Be sure to try their "Mexican Street Corn" while you're there, it's their take on "Elote" and is very good!

Where do we start? Seating upstairs in the outside balcony at 8:45pm was quite nice. We waited for a server, the bowl of chips was broken little pieces that you couldn't even dip (although the 3 dipping sauces were delicious). We chose a nachos appetizer, and the steak tacos and shrimp tacos for our main course. The nachos were set on the table and the server left, no offer to refill water or tea. Had to track him down for napkins. Finally a man with a tray of food came out, circled with it for a while, placed it on an empty table where it sat for about six minutes before he came back, picked it up when he finally found our server, gave the server the tray, who then delivered our cold food. Needless to say we packed it to go and left. We won't be going back, ever.

THE BEST MARGARITAS IVE EVER HAD!!!! The service was exceptional!!! Our server Stephanie was the best!!! Very friendly and knowledgeable!! Our first night I had a huge burrito with brisket, cilantro lime rice, street corn and queso dip. I had a tequila sunrise, then a margarita gold. The margarita gold was the best I ever had!!!! They only serve tequila based drinks or beer. So if you want alcohol other than tequila or beer you won t find it here. The food and drinks were so good we went back again the next night just to have margaritas, street corn, queso dip and cilantro lime rice!! I highly recommend this place!!!

Absolutely wonderful! Our waitor Larry was the best waitor I've ever had! We are on vacation from Florida and he anwsered all our tourist questions. The food was delicious!!!

Come to the table with bloody steak that was cold as ice....pretty sure we would've ended up in the ER if we would've ate it ...

The food was good but WAY WAY overpriced for no more then you get. The jalapeno rellenos was amazing. The fajitas were good but not the best I have had. We were told they would feed two and that is not the case at all.

Tons of different types of tropical drinks all reasonably priced. Medium fajitas were delicious and enough to feed both my wife and I. Fun atmosphere and a great outdoor seating area!

If I could give it zero stars, I would. We had a 35 minute wait for a rooftop table. The point of a rooftop table is to be able to see the view. The hostess seated us at a table with a sign in front of it and we had no view. When I asked for another table, see got an attitude and told me I would have to go back downstairs and go to the bottom of the list. She said I could not sit on the couches and wait for the next table. 5 minutes later a table came open and I asked to move to that table. She told me she was the hostess and it was against the rules. Her name is Jennifer or Jessica. I think it is Jennifer. Not one employee would look you in the eye or smile. It was a drab atmosphere. When the food came, it was not edible. The steak was too fat and chewy and the chicken was hard. We left without eating. The manager comped up and she was fantastic. Her name is Julia. She was the nicest person ever but the employees make it a place that I don't want to return to but I promised the manager that I would give it one more time. I really don't see how it will make a difference but I will try.

Great food slow service I had to ask another waiter for more water cause our disappeared for a bit.

Paid 75 bucks for 2 people and the seating was good due to my husband getting us balcony seats but the food for 75 bucks was terrible the steak we had was nothing but fat and chewy.

My wife and I went here thinking it would be a fun take on the traditional American-Mexican food we know and love from Illinois...it was not. We sat at the bar to get a drink while waiting for a table and the bartender never even acknowledged us (2 of 6 people at the bar) for a good 10-15 minutes. We finally got to order a "pitcher" of their house margaritas for $30 and we got about 3.5 glasses out of it because it was filled to the brim with ice. Granted, a regular margarita would run you $6.75, it still would have been a better deal to order more of these...I switched to bottled beer immediately. We got seated, a waitress made it to us eventually. We ordered queso with jalepenos and pico de gallo and chips for an appetizer ($7) and all that came out was a bowl of luke-warm cheese sauce that would cost $2 anywhere else. The free salsas were pretty good though. Food arrived, the rice was severely under-cooked and/or dry, couldn't really tell, it was just crunchy...everything really lacked flavor. Service was pretty rough. Wouldn't really recommend it...And yes, I know, it's not traditional Mexican cuisine, but we knew that going in...Go to Taco Bell.

Not good at all. The steak came out bloody and the chicken came out burnt. Mostly everything wasn't edible. Worst Mexican food we've ever tried. Not to mention the flys flying all over our food, even tho we were seated inside. Will not be back

once you get a seat, food is good and fast - but servers again seem over run with table conversations short and not personable had a big group and could not seat us together

Good veggie options! They even offered to make a special taco salad for my vegetarian companions.

While the patio is nice and views are great they do not make up for false advertisement in my opinion. If you sit on the patio the menu (draft beer especially) is different than downstairs. How can you not order what is on the menu you are given by the establishment? Doesn't make sense to me and is unfortunate because we were looking forward to spending time there.

Great location for some good mexican food. Got a little bit of everything on the menu and never had anything bad from here. If you can get one and weather is nice, the upstairs rooftop tables are absolutely stunning with a great view. Definitely deserving of a 5 star rating.

Excellent restaurant! We ate on the rooftop deck. Beautiful views of Gatlinburg. We had Ciera as our waitress. Attentive without being pushy. Would ask for her at our next visit. Food was great.
