Love the rooftop bar but the foods better at no way Jose.

We sat on the roof and had amazing views! Our waiter/bartender was a super cool guy from Texas and a great waiter. My husband and kids enjoyed their meal. I however, did not love mine. I was so excited to see that there were vegetarian options on the menu and so I opted for the veggie burrito. This burrito could have been amazing but there was nothing but veggies inside. No flavor or sauces inside, just a tortilla filled with veggies. I filled it up with the leftover salsa on the table but it needed a good red sauce and seasonings to make it great. Over all we had a great experience.

The chips were fresh and the 2 salsas available were also good. The food came quickly as well as the drinks.



Our server Matt was very friendly and upbeat. We were seated upstairs and were grateful for the umbrellas over our table. Wonderful view & music. All employees seemed happy to be there.

Both of us got burritos - chicken and carnitas. It was average, more of a burrito bowl than an actual burrito. The chicken was cut really chunky and all the toppings were on the side so there wasn t a point in wrapping the chicken up because I had to cut it all up and put the toppings on to eat it...? The rice was on the side and tasted good, had veggies mixed in with it!

Their queso and salsa verde over the burrito were both good

The avocado/guac was really good & the sour cream had spices in it which was a nice surprise.

With a name like Loco Burro we were expecting a bit more but it was ok. Still not a bad experience, just not amazing (besides our server of course, he was great)

Neato mex grill upstairs (actually escalator!) off the street. A Gatlinburg surprise worth it even if just for the excellent chips and salsa. But do more than that... The pork carnitas are dang good.

Great restaurant with a bucking donkey in the back. Go for the food but take a turn on the donkey.

Amazing food and service! Joe is an awesome server, ya'll are very lucky to have him! He kept our glasses full, made us the best tableside guacamole, brought out a sombrero and birthday dessert for my daughter, and just overall a great server! It was my daughter's 4th birthday and she requested mexican food. I'm so glad she did! My dad isn't easliy pleased when it comes to restaurants, and he said this was the best mexican food he has ever had! We can't wait to come back! We live in Strawberry Plains,and he said he will make the 45 min drive just to eat here.

This place is one of our favorite places to get Mexican food in the tri-cities area.

Lots of great choices and authentic Mexican dishes.

The best kept secret though is the Sangria which you can order in these huge beautiful glass blown pitchers (you may be able to order other things in these as well)

Great experience and great quality food at a good price. We had a 45 minute wait but it was worth it. Watching people get thrown off of the mechanical burro was hilarious.

Awful service. If you want to get you a drink at the patio that's fine, because that's the only thing that's getting a star. We were not impressed with food neither. There are better Mexican restaurants in the area. Don't waste your time and money. Roof top patio is great. Again just for a drink though.

The service and wait times were horrible. The food was delicious, though, hence the two stars.

Cool atmosphere and friendly staff. Biggest reason the stars were knocked down is the beans had a plastic bag taste ... very odd.

We go here whenever in town. Great food, amazing selection of tequilas and mezcal.

The food was just average, especially for the price--$10 queso!! And our waiter was rude and indifferent. It really ruined what should have been a nice rooftop experience.

Really great food but our service was terrible you could clearly tell our waiter hated his job we had to hunt him down several of times for refills, for food we ordered and agian at the end for our check. It really was not all that busy at the time we were there it was just a little dissapointing with it being our first time there. But food was amazing.

the design was awesome, rooftop a plus, bathroom clean with a cool sink. chicken and beef for fajitas were tasty and big. No guacamole even though the menu mentioned it and the rice was not good. plus there was garlic butter on the rice and beans plate. why? the sangarita looked pretty. taste strong!

When I ask for a meal for an adult I expect what you expect anywhere else in the USA. I received an En Child Lada. Two flat small flat bread with ground beef. I am not an OBESTIE I am a normal adult male. Save your money go down stairs to Maccas. Smoke and mirrors is great if it leads to a final goal. Great looking place cheap skate feed. Shame guys. Nice staff

Only had drinks no food for the most part they were delicious

Went last night for a few drinks which were delicious then to lunch today. The food, atmosphere and staff were perfect ! A little pricey but was reasonable especially with the amount of work that goes into it all. Did I mention you get plenty of food with what you order as well as being a little different than a typical Mexican restaurant.

To be honest we were expecting it to be tourist trap food. We were blown away with our dish... Plato Fiesta. Everything was delicious! All three meats--steak, chicken and shrimp were incredibly cooked! The steak was tender and juicy. It wasn't the inferior cut usually used for fajitas. We loved everything. The service was great even in the midst of Covid19.

They day we visited,there were people everywhere. It was a long weekend so I guess people were exploring. Server served us pretty fast and food was pretty good. Portion size is big.

Fajitas are as good as they say. The pitcher of marg had too much ice in it though. It makes it difficult to pour and the first cup you do will likely be 85% ice and 15% marg. Was a really good marg though.

What a great experience. Food! FRESH and very delicious. Staff members are very friendly and professional. If you like Mexican cousine . You have to come here and try. Strongly recommended. Food and staff more than 5 stars

Food was good but for the price wasn't anything I'd go back for. Went on a Saturday night so it was extra crowded; about 25min wait for table. Staff was obviously busy however I feel because of how busy they were some employees seemed stressed & rude. Our waiter, which I forget his name, was nice though.
Also, have mechanical 'bull' you can ride near the bar.

I've never received such appalling treatment in my life! Matthew needs to learn a lesson in customer service. My friends and I parked in the back, came up the elevator to the patio, and sat at an open table. We were waited on by a polite waiter and were enjoying the atmosphere, weather and music when all of a sudden Matthew appeared, asked us if we had been downstairs and put our name on a waiting list. We replied no, that we were unaware of such policy and he told us that this table was for someone else we need to leave. There were no signs anywhere directing to such.

I love Mexican food and eat it a lot. I heard about Loco Burro through another restaurant in Gatlinburg. When we were to meet some friends visiting from out of the area I suggested this place and all thought the patio atmosphere would make for a good evening. As expected the roof top patio/bar was one of the best I have been especially in this area.. I ordered a pitcher of Margarita and some food. To our huge disappointment the margarita was by far the very worst we had ever had, we both were only able to take a few sips before I decided to send it back and get a bottle beer knowing it would be what I expected.Then the food came, two fish taco's which we shared one and did not finish it for it tasting so bad and we also had a chili relleno which was not cooked at all. The pepper was so hard I showed everyone at the table the I could not even cut it with one hand using a fork, needless to say that did not get eaten as well..
If you want food that is slightly better than lousy go anywhere else!!!! What a huge disappointment for what appeared to be such a great place

Recommended by a local, we were glad to have a not-as-touristy option. You'll feel like you're finding a secret when you enter through the inconspicuous door along the main drag and head upstairs. Great Tex-Mex with some unique sauces and plates. We resisted the urge to ride the bull because we were so full.

Fun environment, great food, nice venue, more room inside, so don't let that thought make you pass it by! Average price especially for a tourist area.

Food was good, however our order was incorrect on the first try. Service was a bit slow. I liked that they served different Mexican food that most Mexican restaurants, but the overall flavor didn't overly impress me.

There's good and bad. The cheese dip was the best. The chips were also very nice and light and crispy, not bagged from the store. The kids quesadillas were nice and thick. Now for the bad. The carnitas were disgusting. They were very sweet, almost cinnamony. I couldn't eat them. The rice wasn't very good either. The beans were ok, they had a lot of cheese but still had a weird flavor. If you're going for beer and cheese dip, it would be perfect.

The food was great. Service was great. The singer Nigel on the roof top made our trip. We will be returning and we hope he is there. #happydivorce and the fresh margaritas were life changing!!!!!

The service was great. Jozy our waitress was very friendly. The food was not so great. The plate was hot but the food was lukewarm at best. The rice was very dry, like it had been heated over to many times. Wont be going back.

We sat on the rooftop. There are tables at the rail that can view the strip. Others you cannot. Some of the tables are under cover while others have umbrellas. They had live music on the roof also. Upstairs and downstairs have bars that you can sit at. Downstairs has a mechanical bull, although nobody was riding it. The food had excellent flavor, was served quickly and was hot. The salsas were very good, one mild and the other a little hotter but not overwhelming.

The best beans, rice, and enchiladas I have ever had! Prices were not bad for the Gatlinburg area and can't wait to visit again!

Best Mexican food in Gatlinburg. Hands down. Also best margaritas.

Such a fun an delicious spot! We came in with a large party on a busy Saturday for lunch and our serve did a great job keeping up with all of her tables. Drinks and food was delicious and the upstairs rooftop was adorable! Unfortunately the mechanical bull was down (assuming because of covid) but overall everything was amazing!

Need servers to work more tables and/or Don't sit diners in bar. Salads 15, 3 tacos 12 to 15.00

The food is way over priced $14 for two tacos and they weren t even good, the service is way too slow we had a table be seated around 12min after we did and they got their food in about 6min but it took us like 20min they had at least 6 poeple and it s way to cold.

The food and the service was excellent. I would have given a 5 star if it wasn't for spending $15 on 2 frozen daiquiris that tasted like virgin daiquiris.

Great food, good and quick service. First time at Loco Burro and it was one of the best Mexican Cantinas we've ever experienced throughout our travels. The place was well kept, the food was fresh and our server, Ashley, was wonderful! She convinced us to try their steak fajita and it was sooo well worth it. And by far she is one of the top 5 servers we've experienced anywhere in the country I've traveled, she really made the experience be one of the best. Highly recommend Loco Burro!

We came here because we wanted authentic Mexican food but this is far from that it s like eating taco bell but way more expensive. I ordered 5 burritos & we got ground beef instead of carne Asada it was super salty and greasy the only thing that was good was the chips & salsa & also the waitress was awful acted like she did not understand what we were saying I speak fluent Spanish & English but with other customers she would explain everything calmly & with us she would act like she did not kno anything would never go again I don t recommend this restaurant I wish I never paid $127.00 for Taco Bell food 16$ burritos with no Asada.!!!!!
