Amazing Queso dip and steak quesadilla, and literally the best mojitos I have ever had. Food was a little pricier but the drink prices were very reasonable. Danny was our server and he was awesome!

I liked the food here but boy was the service exceptionally bad. Loco Burro - the beers are warm and the margaritas have ants. Yes ants. I advised the waitress my margarita had ants floating in it and it was replaced with another margarita, also with ants...

After much frustration and confusion, I discussed my grievances with a manager who defended the ant filled margarita with; "Sometimes ants and bees get into drinks. It happens. It's an outside bar".

Once? Sure I'll forgive you, but come on. There's no reason the replacement drink shouldn't be checked for bugs floating in it... Disgusting.

Stopped by for a late dinner after hiking in the National Park. The rooftop patio was the place to be! They have fantastic drinks and the food is excellent. Be careful not to fill up on the endless chips since they have good sized portions! I hope to come back some day.

We wanted to try this loco burrow because we had never been there before and I will never go back to that place again. There was three of us there to try the place out the food was just plain nasty and it wasn't just one meal it was all three that tasted like it was old. The silver ware had dried food on it and the table had finger prints all over it with some kind of drawings. It looked like a kid had spilled his food on the table and was drawing stuff on it . No one in my family will ever go there and I wouldn't recommend loco burrow to anyone.

Delicious food with very fresh ingredients! We were delightfully surprised and actually ate there twice during our visit. The chips were thin and crispy served with fresh salsas. I'd skip the queso dip, it just didn't stack up to our hometown fave.

I highly recommend the vegetarian quesadilla with jalapenos added to it. It was delish! It was plenty to split with my husband after eating chips. They also let us do half steak and half vegetarian.

The second visit we split the chicken fajita chimichanga and again plenty of food and very yummy too.

First visit to Loco Burro and had the worst service and food was cold. Waited 45 minutes to be told the kitchen was running behind and when food did come out was cold. You could tell the food had been sitting in the kitchen. The manager come and refixed my plate but did never really apologized. He just said they got the food out as quick as they could. The waitress was slow. Never did fill my drink without having to be asked.

Nice atmosphere. Okay server. Food was not good for price. I understand that it's a tourist place and prices are higher however if I pay 65.00 for a meal I do not expect to get sick.

There was mold floating in our sweet tea. The salsa was nothing but watered down tomato juice. My daughter ordered 2 soft grilled chicken taco. Thats all. After waiting over 30 min, she receives a entire meal that she didnt order. She had a allergic reaction to something and when we asked if there was any pinapple or pineapple juice involved the waiter was clueless. Acted like they didnt have pineapple. Will not go back. Was not worth the money.

This restaurant is a disaster. It's incredibly overpriced and the food is horrible. Their "hot sauce" was not spicy at all, the guacamole had too much onion, and the chips were very clearly out of a bag you could buy at Walmart. My husband and I ordered a pitcher of margaritas and I don't even think there was any tequila added.

The food was definitely sub par. I've had better wrapped burritos at Taco Bell. The vegetables tasted of garlic and the rice was long grain white rice with zero flavor.

Our waitress was very kind and attentive, but she couldn't cover the disappointment of this meal. I would not waste your money here.

PROS:

PROS:
-the food was pretty decent actually
- the mango margrita I had was really sweet
- they have a person coming around taking group photos

CONS:
-kinda pricey for the quality of the food
- the mechanical donkey (bull ride) isn't operating amidst COVID-19
- they pressure you into spending $20+ on the FREE photos THEY take of you

Overall, I would probably go back, but since it's located on that main strip we were quoted a 1.5hr wait for seating! Also, we had the worst server ever. Her name was Irene and she honestly had an attitude the entire time we were there. Whenever we would ask her a question about the menu items, she would catch an attitude and roll her eyes. I thought it was only directed at me, until the other 4 girls in my group mentioned the same thing! Maybe it was just a bad night for her- who knows..

The carna asada was tender and delicious. We got the layered dip which was good, but they should have drained the grease out of the ground beef before mixing. Sangria was delicious and you could tell homemade at the restaurant. Lots of fresh fruit that marinate. Prefer no iceberg lettuce in the salad next time. Enchiladas were good. Briscuit inside was tender with a spicy flavor.

Wonderful food and drinks. Service was sub par. The wait staff seem like they hate there job. Bartenders were nice. We ordered table side guacamole and were told it was lea expensive to have it made in the kitchen so he didn't have to do it at the table.

The place was busy when we arrived but no wait which was nice. We had some service challenges mainly due to our waiter who took over 15 minutes to greet us and take our order. Chips and salsa arrived before our order was taken so we had something to munch on.

Once the order was in the kitchen was super fast. Tacos were okay, carnitas were not very well seasoned, didn t taste like they had a good marinade. Burrito was good.

Waiter never came back to check on food, never had a manager visit. Needed drink refills but the food was basically gone before we could flag him down for refills.

Was considering desert but when the waiter could not answer a basic question about how it was prepared and seemed to take offense to the question we decided to not eat desert here. Plenty of desert places close by in Gatlinburg that gladly took our money.

Not a authentic Mexican restaurant. I ordered a Horchata drink and the waitress brought me an Angry Orchard beer. I told her I wanted a Horchata, she obviously didnt know what it was. A manager comes and asks me what exactly I was wanting. I tell him a Horchata, he looks confused and says hes never heard that word before. I google the drink and show him the spelling and a picture with ingredients. He said he has never heard of it! Food was ok

Service was really slow for three adults and two kids, but the food was good. Really delicious chips and two types of salsa were on the table upon arrival which was GREAT. Just super slow from there. Recommend the street corn and the fajitas.

Took me 3 days to finally get in this place and it was definitely not worth the wait. Staff was nice but the food was horrible. I feel like the food had potential if seasoned properly. Chips were overly salted, main course was salty and now I'm salty. I wanted to leave my review yesterday but I was too busy dealing with high blood pressure after leaving there. Had some pretty good daiquiris though.

Very pricey! Tables were too close together and there were not enough waiters and waitresses to take care of the large Restaurant. Food was not as good as we expected for the prices we paid. Would not go back.

I LOVE Loco Burro Fresh Mexican restaurant!! You can't go wrong by dining here. The food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is amazing, they even have a burro you can ride, like a bucking board. Regardless to where you dine, you'll be impressed, and will want to go again and again.

First went here on my wedding day because I like Mexican food and needed a break from the tourist fare. My wife and I have come here every visit since then.

They have a great menu with a large selection of both the expected favorites and some other not so usual items. I love enchiladas and, while they have ground beef, chicken, and cheese (which are made great here) they also have my favorite: brisket enchiladas! One thing I also like about enchiladas here is you get to pick one of seven sauces to go on top. I personally like the chili con carne sauce or the queso fundido.

My wife had the taco trio combo plate which had chicken, ground beef, and pork tacos. All three were very nice.

The service is usually good here. Friendly staff. And there's a donkey ride (instead of a bull ride) which is currently out of service due to COVID-19 restrictions, but will hopefully be back in service one day soon.

This is more than average Mexican restaurant dining. It's one of the better Mexican restaurants in the Southeast. I've had Mexican from as far as Tijuana, Mexico, to southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and on and on Eastward! In the Southeast Mexican food is hardly worth talking about. It's actually typically not very good, barely Mexican. Not at Loco Burro! Fantastic food at a good price and a great restaurant experience. Sit rooftop if you can! Weather permitting of course

Enjoyed it!! The queso, the el Guadalupe and the quesadillas were verrry good!! Would eat there again if/when we are in the area!
I didn't care for the salsa- had a spice I was familiar with. But overall experience wonderful!!

Wow, reminds me of Tex-Mex/Mexican Restaurants that are in Texas. Excellent Mexican food right here in East Tennessee. A little pricey, but the quality, quantity and service are worth it.

We arrived at 9pm with a closing time of 10pm. We were notified we could not be seated in the dining area only the rooftop was open and there was a 10 minute wait. We decided to wait. At 9:15 they began turning customers away. At 9:30 we still had yet to be seated and witnessed them turn away at least a dozen customers due to the time while the whole dining room was mostly open we could have been seated ordered and received our food by this time. My wife ran down to Johnny rockets to see if we could be seated and they welcomed us right in at 9:35.
Loco Burro is a very poorly run establishment. The employees are more worried about going home, with no concern for their customers.

Food was great, however the music was offensive. Strong language rap music. Not suitable family environment. And this was during lunch time. Appetizer came quick but waited a good half hour more for main entree. Sat outside. Had a great view of strip and moutains, however again cant enjoy a place with loud offensive music.

Every time we visit Gatlinburg it's the best place. Roof top is the best! Atmosphere and views are the best. Food is always good. Sometimes roof gets full and ya gotta wait. Fun place. Make memories.

Baffled by how this restaurant can have a lower rating than No Way Jose s. There is no comparison. Food is great, margaritas are real (as in made with actual limes not a nasty mix) and vibe is entertaining.

The hostess or wait staff (idk what she was, but she was BEYOND rude, swearing and passive aggressive discussions to herself but made it audible to us) our actual server was lovely and the food was good. Highly reccomend the mojitos.

P.s. the rooftop bar is beautiful

Ok

Stopped for Sunday lunch.

Stopped for Sunday lunch.
Started with a Margarita. Tangy and flavorful.
Had the combo fajitas split between 2 of us (this was on the grilled section of the menu). The dish was well prepared and had the flavor of being cooked on a wood burning grill.
Still had enough for leftovers.
Service was prompt.
Sitting on the balcony in January was wonderful.
