We sat out on the balcony. Great people watching. I ordered the pork burrito. It was the BEST burrito that I have had in any Mexican restaurant anywhere. My wife has a taco salad. She said it was very flavorful also. The beer was cold, serving sizes plenty, and prices were low. Definitely many steps above the average tourist trap restaurant

Got the fajita platter (forget the name, but it was chicken, steak, and shrimp). Good charro beans and salsa, fantastic steak, but the shrimp was overcooked and the rice was dry. Fun atmosphere and good location.
We got seated on the balcony at our request, and it made for a great summer lunch. The food here was good. Both chicken and beef ingredients were exceptionally flavorful, and the vegetables were all enjoyable. The service was friendly and fast, but never made us feel rushed. There were a few goofs on our food (e.g., one diner asked for salsa verde and got queso), but everyone did enjoy the dishes we got.
We eat here every time we come to Gatlinburg, it's on my top 5 list of best places to eat in Gatlinburg. Big portions, friendly staff, good price and great food.
Great salsa and queso dip! We split the taco sampler and the taquitos - both were good. Everything was fresh and we'll presented. Will definitely return.
Service was kind of slow, it took over 10 minutes just for us to get a tea and a water. I had a vegetarian quesadilla that was absolutely delicious...but I barely made it down the stairs before having to run back inside and throw it all up. I hadn't been nauseous at all before and was completely fine after, so as good as the food was I won't be back.
Tequila matters! Great and fast service! Only con is if you want better tequila in your already $9 drink you have to pay more. Food was good.
Me and my boyfriend got to the restaurant pretty much in the middle of dinner rush and we wanted to sit on the patio. The wait was long but we didn't mind bc we just had a couple of drinks at the bar.. once we got to the patio we had the best seats in the restaurant all the way in the back corner and you could see the whole strip. Our waitress shantay was the absolute best you could tell that they were understaffed but she made sure yiu had everything you needed. The green salsa was delicious, I wasn't overly impressed with the food even though my bf swares it was the best he's ever had.. this was after taking a 25 dollar shot of tequila so I wouldn't really trust his opinion fully.. overall had a great experience, great view, great service
Needed to get our Mexican food fix while on vacation and this quest paid off. Excellent food, fun atmosphere and large portions. We shared and it was plenty for lunch.
Great salsa. Too bad they fail at almost everything else. I guess they have such a good location they don't care about actually having the items they offer on the menu. Service was mediocre. The pork carnitas taste like barbecue sauce. No draft beer on the rooftop. The seven layer dip was delicious. If you decide to go, I hope it works out better for you than it did for us.
My favorite dining place in Gatlinburg. Rooftop has very nice view and of course awesome food. Loved it.
Super friendly staff food took a little longer to get than usual so the manager upgraded our meals and gave us free drinks without even asking.

Need to hire more competent bartenders. Jennette the bartender I felt with tey to charge me twice for same thing. Me and my friend both got the exact same drink but charged Male 5 bucks more for the same thing and I had to fight it. She couldn't carry out a simple thing right. She seemed more intrested in flirting with guys. If you didnt pay her a compliment she wouldn't pay attention to you and will take forever to get your drinks. Managment took her side even when I presented my and my friends recite. Would not recommend going to the roof top bar. Waste of time and money.
Vange was our server and she was incredible! She made sure we were very well taken care of! Definitely made the experience of the food, fun and atmosphere even better! I m in love with this place-we can t wait to come again! If you get a chance-GO! I tried every one of the six dishes that were ordered and I could ve eaten anything on the menu. Comprehensive kid and adult menu makes this a festive for patrons of all ages!
The staff was friendly and kind and very funny. I spilled my water on the floor and myself, and they brought me another water and a child's cup so that I wouldn't spill again. The food was delicious, and the view was beautiful, especially from the roof (unfortunately, my group was too big to eat up there, but we visited).
Table side Guac and homemade tortiillas, what else do you want! Amazing!!

On my visit to Gatlinburg, I happened to have lunch with my family at this place. I ordered for the shrimp quesadilla and I loved it. Although that was the first time I had a shrimp one, I'd say that It was tasty and very filling. The dishes my family ordered included grilled shrimp salad (which was presented in an interesting way), shredded chicken quesadilla and fajita chicken quesadilla. All of them came in good portions.
Good food but I couldn't talk my kids into riding the mechanical burro.
Authentic Mexican? Probably not. Good food yes, inexspensive yeah, fast service yup, large portions uh huh. Cannot complain. Left with a 50 dollar bill. Including tip, 2 large beers, 2 entrees, 2 days of leftovers.

A good restaurant and club (on Tuesday nights and the one and only) with good latino vibes where the food is great and the service are wonderful with free nachos refill while waiting for the food. No joking, you gotta try their jumbo platter.
We decided to visit Loco Burro after not having the best experience at another cantina near by. What a world of difference! Staff was friendly and food arrived quickly although they were busy. I had the fresh catch which was salmon, cilantro lime rice with a salad mix and avocado. Absolutely delicious!

Pretty good considering we come from Tex Mex central (Texas). Food was awesome. My fajitas on my salad were not as hot as i woukd have liked though. My fiancee on the other hand, cleaned his plate so he was absolutely satisfied 110%. Our dessert was totally awesome. Yummy vanilla ice cream stuffed inside a chocolate taco shell, topped with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and a firework! Paige our waitress was super fun and she made our dinner enjoyable and ended our night with good company.
This was the best mexican food I've ever had. Had amazing blueberry margarita and seafood enchiladas great service. I will definitely be going back when I visit tennesee again

We went into this place last night for a couple of margaritas and and appetizer. The restaurant looked like a bomb had gone off in it. It looked like it was the end of their rush. There were a few people still waiting on tables but they just needed to be bussed. We went to the hostess stand and the guy said not much I can do for you but it looks like maybe there is a couple of spots a the bar. So we found 2 of the 4 seats we needed at the end of the bar. All the glasses had been bussed yo the part of the bar we were sitting. It was about 100 dirty glasses and 1 bartender. There was a group of people that were next to Us and after a few minutes got up. So we moved in and all 4 of us now had a seat. The bartender eventually comes over to get our drink order and in the middle of it, the guy that was sitting there before says to us," we were sitting here and the restaurant called us and it was a faulse alarm. We want our seats back". Instead of the bartender doing anything. He walks away. Two of us finally get up and let them sit back down. After the bartender watches all of this and how rude and inconsiderate those people were, he goes straight to them to see if they want a new drink order instead of FINISHING the one he started with us. We left. We will NEVER be back. Your restaurant looks like it is in need for more staff and management training.

The bartender was our waiter, needless to say he had other things to do other than wait on us... we had to get our own drinks at the bar, from him. Yes this was supposed to be table service. Food was ok though.

Chicken fajita was cooked to perfection. Guacamole made fresh to order and was the best guac I have ever had in a restaurant. The food is all made fresh and they pickle everything themselves. It is all delicious! And our waitress, Crystal was welcoming and very kind!
Great food and great service even though it was extremely busy! Definitely recommend stopping here while visiting Gatlinburg. I didn't think refried beans could taste different than refried beans! But theirs were amazing!
I would never come back....not because the food was to salty....but because when a person leaving fell, not 1 of the staff asked if she was okay and 3 were next to her and 4 more on the floor....and when I took my child to the bathroom, saw a waitress leave to bathroom stall and walk out the door without washing hands.

The Loco Burrito upper deck didn't disappoint again this year. Yummy food and lots of margarita options. We even stopped in for the international night unexpectedly. What a fun surprise on a Tuesday night!!

I ll be completely honest in this review. We were walking the strip and saw the rooftop and was drawn in and went up to put a name in and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. We walk around to get no text and come back and was told there are still no tables so we wait longer and right before we left I get a text saying the table is ready. Awesome ! We get to the top and it s beautiful and fun looking until we ordered drinks. I almost got the tall fancy looking pitcher until I asked the waiter how many oz it was only to be told it was 40. I ve drank enough pitchers in my life to know it is supposed to be 64 oz so they are taking advantage of you with that 30$ pitcher. I ended up getting the 8$ marg which was nothing but mix and ice. Tasted like no alcohol whatsoever. Had it been a decently mixed drink I would have gotten at least 3-4 more but did not. I then order the nachos and when they were brought out they were on a giant saucer so I m like okay nice hefty serving that s awesome but upon putting my light on them (it was dark at this point) they looked horrendous. Like a wet salad with things just thrown together. I do not like wasting food so I made it through half of them before feeling nauseated and had to stop. How do you not make decent nachos ? I m not even a picky eater by any means but these were worth mentioning they were that bad. I read another review where the owner responded to someone they only use the finest ingredients but that is an outright lie. Maybe you have to spend 30-40$ to get the decent stuff I m not sure but I think the owner of this place tries to maximize profitability by taking advantage of tourists knowing they are mostly passing through. Where I m from this would never happen and again I m not picky but there are far more quality places out there than here. I truly hope people read this and avoid this place because they are going to be disappointed. To the owner. Try making stronger drinks and getting better actual decent food and people will make it a habit to come back. The venue is the ONLY thing nice about this place other than that it s completely forgettable. Sorry but that s just the truth !
This place is seriously a must if you visit gatlenburg. From the service,to the salsa,queso, margarita and steak fajitas. Everything is delicious and just so amazing. We will definitely be back

Husband and I came here for dinner on a Saturday. We got seated outside on the balcony and we got to people watch while we ate. It was actually kind of nice. The chips and salsa are very different than what I am use to but very good. We ordered queso but never got it but that s ok because we got full on our dinner. We both ordered fajitas one chicken and one steak. Both were very tender and juicy and the medium size is enough of a portion. I would hate to see the large portion. Our waiter was decent. He kept our drinks filled the whole time and we like that. Can t get enough coke and sweet tea. So good job Tony! Def will be back at some time.

Service sucked waited 20 minutes at a table and was never acknowledged by the staff. Several tables came in after us and had food and drink orders.
Ate here last year had to do it again! We had the chicken and steak fajitas (large) quick service fresh hot food chips were fresh and hot, salsa was very good. Will definitely eat here next trip back to Gatlinburg!!
Good food waiter was very friendly and did a great job.
The sizzling grilled chicken fajita salad was delicious. The chicken was seasoned perfectly with a hint of lime. The side of guacamole was fresh.
