* lots of seating both indoor and outdoor (balcony and roof); all having a great atmosphere
* texting system used to let you know when a table is ready (I love these systems.... every restaurant should be using this)

Atmosphere is fun. Food is great. They bring 2 different salsas to the table for your chips, the roaster red pepper salsa is amazing!

I did not like the food at all, there is no seasoning in the food, it is a horrible imitation of Mexican food. The place has a very good appearance, clean and with excellent location although parking is a bit complicated, in terms of food and service it would have much to improve.

Great food. Decent prices. Friendly staff. All that and with a bar and a mechanical bull... what more can you ask?

Service wasn't very good waited half hr for appetizer which us all we got and 15 -20 mins for beers

Fresh ideas to area Mexican Food. Good food and good service.

Had high expectations based on reviews of this place. First off we waited about an hour for a spot to eat with just two individuals in the party. Second we had several people come in after us and get seated right away when we approached the hour mark. Finally when we had a table we had to ask for all the basic table condiments such as salt & pepper, napkins, and even utensils after we got our food. We also had to constantly ask for refills on water. The food was good but the service ruined the experience for us.

The food is tasty enough, but unless you are okay with overpaying for average Mexican/American staples (a.k.a you're quite drunk) it's mostly a pass.

Sweet syrupy drinks and the worst chips that I have ever had. They were thin and tasted like flour. Terrace on the roof is the only place to be. Otherwise, overpriced and mediocre food.

Terrific selection of diverse Mexican/Latin American flare. Friendly staff and an eccentric lively decor.

Omg the BEST mexican food we have EVER tasted. The service was amazingly fast and friendly. Definitely get their queso and a blood orange margarita!! The fajitas were delicious. We will be back!!

Truly the waiter started well. Then I ordered some lomonadas which never arrived. The meal took more than 45 minutes. I asked to speak with the manager and the manager asked the waiter what had happened who was at fault and he accepted.

Expensive prices but awesome service. Would recommend the waiter named Yager.

This was our first time here, but it won't be the last. Super fun atmosphere, and the food was delicious, too.

Rooftop view is gorgeous. Food authentic Mexican, very good!

Chimichangas were so yummy. The enslada DE casa, was a nice and reasonably priced salad!

We waited twenty mins after being seated before anyone came to our table. After finally ordering they messed our food up. The food wasn t good but the service was horrid!! We never received refills on our drinks and no communication with the server. We will never make this mistake again!!

We visited for a late lunch. Waiter had trouble getting the correct beverages for our group of 4. Food was good but menu descriptions were not accurate. Salsa for chips was non tomato based and excellent. Pricey, but typical for a tourist town. Might dine there again if in the area.

It was amazing food and the staff was great. I got the brisket tacos and it was perfect!!! Good for the family!!!!!

Loco Burro was a pleasant, unexpected surprise after experiencing mediocre food throughout our visit in Gatlinburg. The weather was perfect for the patio so we took advantage and ate on the rooftop. With a party of 8, service can sometimes be lacking. Not the case with our server who was also a trainer. He went above and beyond, making great drink and food recommendations. Also, it s never easy to please a large groups of ladies tastes but everyone happily devoured their meals.
I ordered a black bean burrito. While it may sound boring, boring it was not! The beans were nicely seasoned and the sauce I chose complimented my meal. If we were to ever visit Gatlinburg again we will most definitely visit LB again!

Will NEVER come back to this restaurant again. Went up the escalator and tried to get a table for 2 at the rooftop and they wouldn t seat us because they only had a table for four open. Decided to get on the waitlist and waited over 30 minutes only to be sent upstairs without any idea of where to go. There was no host up there so we found a seat and nobody ever came over to even give us menus. This was the worst service I ve ever experienced and it wasn t even busy. We got up and left and went to No Jose s down the road. The experience over there was like night and day. Don t waste your time at Loco Burro!

After multiple trips to gatlinburg through the years my girlfriend and I have always wanted to go to loco burro so we decided to give it a try. The decor was festive with bright colors and we couldn t wait to be seated,but that s where the fun ended! Our server seemed to be busy and took a long time to even bring chips and salsa, after finally greeting us she never returned to give us drink refills or more chips..my girlfriend ordered cheese dip as her meal but had no chips when the dip arrived and waited for more as her cheese dip got cold. The fajitas I ordered were a bland small portion that reminded me more of Tyson grilled and ready precooked fajita strips then a $16 fajita at a restaurant this restaurant is the definition of mediocre so don t waste your time...If you re looking for some great quality Mexican food in gatlinburg try no way Jose s the food and the service are amazing!

Food is very good but service on the other hand is not. Hostess and waiters do not look very happy. It seemed most workers were here with an overseas training program which I understand but could be trained a little better for their jobs.

We ordered to go by phone and the lady repeated the order just fine. But when we picked up the order, all 4/4 items were either incorrect or inaccurate. In a situation like this (COVID), ordering through phone to go is the preferred option for many people. If we were eating in the restaurant, we would have had the luxury to talk to the management and resolved this issue. Alas, we do not have that luxury anymore. When we went back to our cabin and ate after 1 hour, we threw away most of the food and felt too bad about it.

No Bueno. Service was slow, food was bland, 62 dollars for 3. Spend your money some place else.

Great drink selection. The margarita pitchers are a great value and strong. And the burritos are perfectly sized.

5 stars for the rooftop patio atmosphere, 4 stars for everything else. Overall this is a great place and the food is good. As with most things in Gatlinburg, it stays very busy and the service and table availability can be challenging but, overall, it is pretty good. A seat on the rooftop near the fireplaces with a view of the strip is absolutely a 5 star experience.

The food was very good with a great view sitting on the roof, but service was extremely slow. We waited almost 20 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink.

Great greeting when we entered and notified promptly when table on rooftop was available....but the service and food upstairs was terrible... would not recommend.

Great food and quick, friendly service! I ordered the pork carnitas chimichanga and it was HUGE and tasted great! I was able to sample their grilled chicken and steak as well! Quality entrees that are reasonably priced!

This place is amazing. From the drinks, to the guacamole, to the food, everything about this place was awesome. The decor is top notch and the service was stellar. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great Mexican food in Gatlinburg!!

The best food around, not just Mexican food. Always fresh chips & two types of salsa. Anything fajita style is great & get extra sour cream. So good.

I went there when I was on a retreat with my campus ministry. The chimichangas were amazing, and the people who served us were very amazing. On top of that, the restaurant had a very fun atmosphere. I will definitely be back next time I visit Gatlinburg!

Whenever we are in Gatlinburg we stop at Loco Burro. We usually just have appetizers and drinks on the roof. The entrees are great too, but the chips and salsa are the main reason we stop by. Highly recommended.

A surprise find in Gatlinburg! GREAT Tex-Mex style menu. Service was great, and management keeps things moving. Table-side Guac was awesome. Fun for small parties and large groups. Roof top bar and dining available.

We went on recommendations from friends that had been here before. We asked to sit up on the upper deck and they offered to sit us in the Tiki Bar. Shawn, the bartender, ended up waiting on our table and acted extremely put out when he came to our table. He huffed when we asked for water while we looked at the drink menu. Finally came back, we ordered our drinks and food. Waited quite some time for him to come back and tell me he had forgot to put in my part of my husband's and I order. He said it would be right out. 10 minutes later, he brings it. (6 layer dip and it was DISGUSTING!!! Greasy, nasty mess) My husband got tacos and he said they were horrible tasting as well. When Shawn brought out my husbands food, we asked for another drink, which he never brought, nor did he come back at all. I went up to the bar after waiting 20 minutes to cash our tab out. The patio looked pretty good but everything else was SADLY LACKING!!!!

The pitcher of margaritas was way overpriced at 28 dollars... food was OK. Service was good.

Was looking forward to this place but to be honest Taco Bell food taste better I think they got there Tex Mex cooks from Canada or something......no flavor

No wait for our family of four on a Sunday night. The food came out fast and was good. The margarita is the best I have had! Our waiter was excellent as well, always making sure we hade everything we needed. Would defiantly go back.

Love, love, love, this spot! Everyone was cool, chill, laid back enjoying their friends. We had a small party and had a blast. The rooftop views were awesome. I was taking pics left and right. The drinks were very good as well and reasonably priced for the location. Husbands birthday here and special shout out to our AMAZING server Andrei and bartender Jennete! Returning with my husband in October and definetly looking forward to coming back to this place!
