Best cheese dip and salsa I ve ever had!! A really good authentic Mexican restaurant
The food was not good and the service was slow. Worst Mexican restaurant we have ever eaten at.
It's always an enjoyable experience. Fantastic food. Very lively environment, n always friendly sever's.
The location is great and from the open seating at the top the building, the view of town and the mountains is very nice. There were three in our party and we were crammed into a table for two and the wait staff and other customers continuously bumped into the back of our chairs due to the limited space. The food was acceptable but nothing special. The service was slow but I understand it was crowded. The food was expensive for what we normally pay for similar food in other places.
Great Mexican cantina. I wish I would have discovered this place sooner. The two types of salsa they give you are great and I do recommend the queso dip of course. There is no doubt from the taste that this is homemade food. The pork burrito I had was stuffed full of meat. You will not leave this place hungry!
Good food, horrible service. As soon as they get crowded, it's a mess for both you and the staff. Unorganized and low on staff. Probably just needs new management.
Amazing Food - Everthing was absolutely delicious. The chips are perfect the salsa amazing. The rice and beans so flavorful My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Nice outdoor seating on the rooftop overlooking the main Street. Decent food with large portions. The wait staff must not be required to wear masks outside when taking and bringing your order. I was a little uncomfortable with that part during a pandemic.
We are in an 11 person bachelorette party. We put our name in at 8:15pm for a table on the rooftop. We were told it would be a 15-20 min wait. At 8:40pm we were notified by a different hostess that we could not sit upstairs on the rooftop because at 9:00pm they only allow people up to the bar and not to eat and that the hostess who took our reservation was new. We asked them to make an exception since it was for a bachelorette party and we have had our name in since 8:15pm. They said no and sat us inside at a table at 8:45pm. One of the only good notes is that George was a great server.
The roof top dining is worth the wait and the food is flavorful!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Gatlinburg. Great atmosphere and food! It even has a roof section.
So good... the Brisket Burrito was smackin... and the other food was fresh and great... a must visit for the Mexican food fare....
The food, drink and service was amazing. It was in low season so the waiting time wasn t bad. Great place to visit.
We went there the monday after Thanksgiving, it was still crowded. The food was good. We ordered chicken chimichangas and veggie tacos. The tacos were pretty bland. The chimichanga was good.
The server we had was not wearing a mask properly. Rather he was wearing a chin guard properly. A lot of the other servers were the same. This place did make us uncomfortable because of that and we decided to leave quickly.
Hence even though the food and service was 4 star, I'll give it 2 stars.
Service was excellent. Got there about 830 pm, hostess was friendly and seated the 6 of us adults right away. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with recommendations and what they were out of right off the bat. They serve 2 different salsas and their chips are homemade. Very vibrant and colorful restaurant. The nachos are served on a round cookie baking sheet. Shrimp tacos are very good, best I ve had. The street corn (pictured) was the most legit and best I ve had! The sauce that was left over, I mixed in with my white rice and it was fantastic! El Toro burrito was tasty also. Would definitely go back again and again.
My husband and I stopped in here while on vacation and had such a great experience. The waiter was so friendly and the food was plentiful and delicious.
Pretty horrible experience today at Loco Burro. Ordered a plain cheese quesadilla that cost $11, which is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. It was literally dripping with grease, and tasted like plastic. The queso blanco tasted microwaved, and the salsa was basically water with tomato chunks. NOT TO MENTION, as we walked by the kitchen, we noticed that not a SINGLE one of the cooks in the kitchen were wearing masks while handling food. Those who were wearing masks had them pulled down to their chin, rendering them ineffective. Tables were extremely close together and I felt very uncomfortable with the amount of people in the building. Will never be returning.
Kinda expensive. ..went here with my family our bill was over 120 dollars. ..service was great. Food was very good. But for the area cost was average . Loved it overall and we will be back. I did appreciate a manager walking around asking everyone if everyone was doing okay
Over priced horrible service after waiting for them to open late
Food is great my server was Gary he did a good job we will be back again in August
My wife & I loved the food here. The server was attentive and friendly. Prices are what you'd expect for a tourist town. Will definitely be back and recommend.
This resturant was less than I expected. The service was slow, I have seen two tables get up and walk out due to no greeting. Food was average. We got the chicken /steak fajitas. The chicken was very good but the steak was tough.
This was the worst Mexican food that I have ever had. Our table of 5 people agreed. The salsa alone tasted like actual vomit. I'm very sad that we wasted a meal on our vacation and ate here.
Rooftop dining was fun. Great meal and waitress was so attentive! people watching above the main street was enjoyable
Great food, the wait time was very short for a Saturday night and they were very busy and the portions were big. The waiter was great. Would go here again.
The BEST steak fajitas I have ever had. Their chips and salsa was excellent. Wish we lived closer!
This is really good Mexican / TexMex food on the Parkway in Gatlinburg. The rooftop bar is a great feature. Reasonably priced for the area.
Do not eat here!!! Watched the cook eat off the food he was preparing twice with his bare hands also licked his fingers after eating the food!!! Thankful for the glass window they have so you can see the food being prepared........ All the manager said was thank you for bringing this to my attention had ordered a couple pops a margarita and beer they brought me a bill for the drinks that had not been drank yet.
It was ok at best. Only 2 stars because they made a good margarita. Other than that, you get virtually no service. Your order is taken, you are brought food, and that's that. At least that was our experience. Both my husband and I's entrees were cold, his pork was undercooked and he told the waiter when he finally came and the waiter just said oh well here's the check when you're ready! Did not even offer to remake it or get something else. A place like this could make good money off of drinks too so if they would have cared about tending to the table we would have definitely gotten more drinks and maybe dessert. Sadly we were stuck mostly eating the chips and queso dip because it was the only thing worth eating. Sadly another tourist trap restaurant of Gatlinburg.
I had the Carne Asada and it was wonderfully seasoned and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend if you are in Gatlinburg TN.
The Tres Taco combination was pretty good. There was no wait on a Thursday evening at 6 pm. Their Traditional Margarita was good, but could be more tart for my taste.
Service is extremely slow. Salsa is watery, 6 layer dip was not fit to eat! We finished our drinks and left! I would not recommend this restaurant in any way!
Loud, family oriented, food is good, staff is ok not enthusiastic at all!!!!
Amazing experience, waiter was the best we had in gatlinburg. Food was incredible. Reasonably priced alcoholic drinks (beer was cheap!) The atmosphere and everything kept us there for a long time. We called ahead to get in line which I highly reccomend!
Excellent place, delicious food, we loved going to eat there on our vacation stay in Gatlinburg, TN. I definitely recommend it 100%
Food (especially the salsa) was AMAZING! The rooftop had an awesome view and we loved the atmosphere. Service not so much.. but everything else was great!
Good Mexican food, the guacamole was nice and fresh. The chips and salsa was also very good. The fagita was ok.
We love the Loco Burro! It has a very festive atmosphere and the food is delicious. Our favorite part is to sit on the rooftop patio by the street.
The best Mex Cantina I ve been to! Thumbs up for the bartenders! Daniel and Razvan were the best! They even have their own photographer! Thank you George for the awesome pictures. Will definitely come back to Loco Burro! Greetings from Maryland!
The chips and tableside guacamole were very salty. The food was otherwise pretty good.
Great food and after 10:00 pm you dance on the terrace
Service can be hit or miss, but the food is always good.
We decided to wait for a rooftop table as opposed to eating in the restaurant and were told that we could wait at the bar with our ten-year-old. We got to the bar and sat down and after waiting a few minutes, the surly bartender came over and curtly told us, "He can't be at the bar. He can wait over there," and gestured to the mini bar with the riding burro. Ok, we get that, but we'd just been told to wait there for one, and for another, he was really nasty about it. The wait wasn't that long for a table, which was good, but that's the best I can say. Keep in mind that when you're eating on the terrace at night, you're basically eating in a bar. Loud music, loud patrons, you have to yell to be heard. No stars taken away for that, I mean, it is what it is, but that's something nice to know before you go. The service was awful. Our waitress wasn't UNfriendly, but she certainly wasn't personable, AND she was slow. The food took a long time to come out and when it did, it was just ok. There was NOTHING outstanding about it. The seafood in my enchiladas tasted rubbery. They don't have regular ranch dressing, so my son chose avocado ranch. They brought his salad and told us they were out of avocado ranch so he had to choose a dressing that he didn't even think he'd like and if you've ordered shrimp salad as your meal, the dressing is very important. I was almost done eating by the time his dressing arrived. The good news is that although the honey mustard tasted more like Italian (and maybe it was), it was good. We had to ask for water and a refill on my son's coke because she didn't seem to take notice that we were empty. It was an altogether unpleasant experience and we were sorry we chose this place.
The best 5Lbs burrito in the world awesome love Loco Burro ando love Gatlinburg.
Food was ok, didn't have corn tortillas (they were out) for grilled fish taco's.
No Dos XX on draft (out)
Chips were delicious and margarita was delicious.
Will try again.
Great food and entertainment, kids loved watching people try to ride the burro
The food is it's good but it's missing specialty Mexican molcajete and chorizo
Very good food and it was fast....but we got fogotten about when we first got there. Food made up for it though.
Their food is the best ive had. And their bloody marys are great.
Excellent food an atmosphere enjoyed the picture Hollywood picture
Reasonable prices and one of the best fresh mex places I've been to. Plus, you can ride a burro if you want to!
Slow and poor service. Mojitos ordered before meal arrived after the meal was served. Chicken fajitas lack flavor.
Won't give this place a second chance
Very nice place. Great music, great chips and salsa. This is a great experience in Gatlinburg
Authentic Mexican restaurant in Gatlinburg offers great tasting food. Friendly service and hefty portion will keep you full for the day.
Great time with Danny at the bar . Food was great and restaurant very clean ! Thank you Danny .
If you're looking for a nice place to take in the smokies the roof top is great. Other than that this place was quiet and we had to wait to be seated while wait staff walked past with out evening acknowledging us. Then there's the food........ ordinary at best. If you want a good feed eat down stairs at Johnny Rockets.
Long wait on food. Service extremely slow. Food disappointing.
Yuck. Not impressed at all. Food was not good and we love Mexican. Chimichanga was soggy, very little white meat (chicken). Paid $7 for a little bowl of cheese sauce! Seriously? Chips were free but tasted like they were from a store bought bag. First and last trip here. There are too many good places to eat to waste money here. WAY too expensive too!
I had the rooftop experience and thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance. The server was a nice guy and delivered our food quickly. The food and drinks were subpar at best. Queso was on a burning hot plate, but cheese was cold. If you like margaritas with no alcohol and twice the price, then this is your spot.
Food here is great. Food portions are big and price is rite!
One of the worst Mexican disque restaurants to which I have entered to eat .. rather, the worst
