Lithia Kia of Anchorage Review

Service department lied about many things. Broke things and wanted $3,000 to fix the items they broke. We fixed it ourselves for $15. Similar incidents have happened to many of our friends too. Unfortunately no one still living in Anchorage wants to do anything about it because lithia is the only Kia dealerships in Anchorage/Wasilla area. They know you can't go elsewhere and get away with whatever they can. Highly recommend avoiding if possible.

I was pleasantly surprised by KIA. The company has improved the quality of its vehicles tremendously in the last few years. Our 2005 KIA Sorrento (my husband had purchased it before we met) needed to be replaced and we were referred to Chris Mathis at Lithia KIA. I didn't really want another KIA, but couldn't ignore the price, so we decided to give them another chance. We had a great experience! Chris listened to what we needed - something smaller than the Sorrento with better gas mileage, but still big enough for our family. He pointed us to the Soul. My first impression was that it was too boxy, but after we took a test drive I was hooked. It is much roomier than it looked from the outside and gets great gas mileage: about 28 mpg in town and up to 34 mpg on the highway. It's smaller than the Sorrento, but still has enough room to fit our car seat, stroller, groceries, or small deliveries for work. Chris and the rest of the team at Lithia did a great job of getting us in and out as quickly as possible and were not aggressive or disrespectful as we negotiated price (my least favorite part of buying a car), interest rate, trade-in value, credit insurance, etc. We have already referred a few family members and friends who are looking for an affordable and reliable vehicle.

Very fast and straight forward. Didn t hide anything with me about the deal and what needed to be done. When I submitted my credit app for a bad credit auto loan, their sales representative, Chris Mathis called me and I told him my situation with bad credit. He said, I can gurantee you 100% we can get you approved. When I went into the dealership, he may have been busy with another customer but he got me with Chris Zello, who was very helpful and worked with me. Their sales team and finance team is by far the best I ve seen and worked with. Two thumbs up for Lithia Kia of Anchorage! Go and see the two Chris and sales manager Scott!!!!!

AMAZING!! I has a 8:00am appointment. As soon as I pulled in I was quickly greeted by Customer service representative AJ. AJ had all my paperwork ready to go. He also broke down in details what they will be working on with my vehicle. AJ assured I had a ride to and from work to get my vehicle. When my vehicle was complete I received a phone call, and a ride was on his way to pick me up from work. I met up with AJ and he went over once again the work that was completed and handed me a checklist that was very helpful. As Customer Service Representative AJ escorted me to my vehicle I was amazed at how clean the vehicle was inside and out. I would have thought I was received a new vehicle being as how dirty it was when I drove it in. Thank you for your great customer service AJ, and thank you Lithia Kia for all your hard work in getting my vehicle ready for me on time and ready for winter.

The Lithia Kia of Anchorage Crew are Sooo AMAZING, hands down!! I ve had my fair share of dealerships in AK and WA mostly, However, these guys have gone above and beyond helping me with my purchase. Gotta go see Chris Mathis to get a great deal. The only part that was difficult was the waiting, from the time of test drive to paying took more time than I'd like. But Chris did everything in his power to make sure we were completely satisfied even filled our old car with gas along with the new one. Also since my hubby didn't like to drive in Anchorage an Uber was sent for me after i drove our old car to the room. Thank you Chris Mathis

The easiest car buying experience I ve experienced. Chris was knowledgeable and patient - extremely patient when it came to choosing. I never saw myself as a sedan person until I test drove my Audi. This dealership went above and beyond the normal standards. They listened to what I wanted in a vehicle, answered all my questions and held my hand during the financing with zero pressure.

They made buying a new car simple and easy. Love my new Kia Soul.

If your halfway smart and have decent credit, avoid this place.

This had to be the worst encounter I ve ever had with a dealership. I came in with a list of issues with the vehicle, that should have been covered by my warranty that we purchased when we purchased the vehicle in Watertown, New York. We travelled all the way from Fairbanks to have this car ready to sell. I asked to be called before they did any service. They didn t and did all the services anyways. I told them NOT to do an oil change, that it was completely unnecessary. They did it anyways and tried to charge me. Needless to say I contacted the manager who then proceeded to completely undermine my intelligence and speak to me like I didn t understand what he was saying. I will never go there again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone!

Kia is amazing!! Chris Mathis & Edward went above & Beyond for me, and I literally couldn t have asked for a better experience. I will never buy another vehicle from Lithia Kia of Anchorage or any Lithia dealership again thanks to my experience here. My experience was good until we got to the finance part. JD, the finance manager, is very pushy & does not know how to take "no" for an answer. When I declined GAP insurance, he got very rude with me. We argued back & forth several times as to why I did not want it. I was so frustrated, I almost walked out without buying the car. Then it came to the plan where if you get a ding or some damage done to your car, you can bring it in and the service department will fix it for free...supposedly. I did not want this added, but my husband did so i agreed. A month after having the car, a dog jumped on my car and put several scratches on the door. I called to make an appointment to have it fixed. That is when i find out it is a paintless plan. Seriously, why didn't JD clarify that?!!? I talked to the manager and was told to bring it in and they will buff it out. So, I do just that. When I get there, they try to tell me I will have to pay $90. Um, no! At this point, I am very frustrated. So, I go to JD to see if I can get a rebate for this "awesome" plan he talked me into adding on. Of course, the answer was no. I feel that JD was very shady to deal with. This was my first, and definitely my last, purchase I will ever make with Lithia Kia. I have never experienced this kind of service anywhere else.

Recently had an oil change. Such amazing customer service. 2 Thumbs up to the whole team especially Elizabeth and Sam for always going extra miles with your customer services. LOVE how Kia representatives always makes their customers feel welcome. The vibe arownd them is always positive with smiles on there faces everytime I go there. Not forgetting the old man that gave me advises about driving in the snow.. I dont know your name Sir but i drove home with the rules u gave me stuck in my head. I was very scared .But I made it home safely ..Fist day driving in the snow. And it was also the day i had my autostart install by Kia.You know i bought a car 6 months ago with them promising me good services .. And they surely delivered it..

I didn't appreciate being offered floor mats, agreeing on the floor mats, signing a piece of paper for floor mats and then having them be denied at the last minute.

Bought our second Kia from the same sales guy. The service center is slow but quality is good. The sales guys aren't too pushy, they do try though.

Lithia Kia is an outstanding car dealership. They take the time to make sure customers are completely satisfied. They have so many outstanding vehicles from which to choose to purchase.

Brought a car had dog hair all inside the seat told them about it they told me to bring it in for detailing. I did that waited maybe about 2 hours and still had dog hair in it stains the chairs and roof of vehicle. Was told they would contact me about the recall part never received a call. I continually call them on a daily basis no one knows nothing when I ask about it and they would call me back but still no call back. I told them about the noise I hear from the engine the mechanic guy say just bring it back when I'm ready to change the oil..... mmmmm yeah this is my first and last.

Went to see have a look at cars with that flyer they send out. I was blocked at the door by a sales representative who was not friendly at all. I left with out looking at anything, and will not return there ever.

They are all great. they all should get A++++++ in my book. that is what keeps me coming back for the last 10 years

If you are into customer service or administrative fields then it can be okay. They never got anything worthwhile light industrial wise while I was looking for work.

Was treated very poorly by sales person Chris Zello I believe his last name was he was very VERY pushy , confrontational, and decided to call me at 9:30 at night and ask me if I made up my mind on a car that I just viewed at about 7:30 because he deserves this sale , he kept trying to argue with me and when I told him I was no longer Interested in the car he got mad and started arguing with me on why I don t want the car. I m not the type to post reviews but his service was HORRIBLE and he was WAYYYY to pushy (something people looking for a new car HATE) definitely wouldn t recommend. I started working with Alex during all of this for a bit and his service was great so that was a plus but Chris was no bueno. - was also quoted a certain interest rate and when it came down to signing papers they changed my interest rate and Chris didn t say anything about it till I pointed it out and then he said oh yeah that was my bad this is your new interest rate like???

The service team is always so respectful and make sure that I understand all that's being done or was done to my car.

Bought a vehicle from them very soon before a deployment. Spouse drives my truck maybe once a month while I am gone. Come home a week later tranny is failing so I send it to a shop. I get told by lithia dodge that the truck has over $15k in damage due to off roading. My wife was pregnant on my deployment I will never ever recommend anybody to this place nor while I take any of my business back. Thank lithia Kia for letting me come home to that kind of damage and for selling me my new paper weight. I will be in contact soon with you and the better business bureau.

Terrible dealership, terrible sales service, trying to get every penny they can. Sold me a truck that they said their mechanics looked at that had a terrible shake and claimed it was from the lift and tires, i am a mechanic myself so i started looking into it and found that all the tires were unbalanced. They proceeded to not pay my car off so i am still having money pulled out of my account to pay for a car i no longer have (which they paid me way under kbb trade in value for). And i still have not recieved my registration for the new truck. Absolutely terrible experience and i will never suggest them to anyone nor purchase another vehicle through them

Pretty poor. Oil change scheduled two weeks in advance. Made it on time. Was told hour and a half before it could get started. Rescheduled for Saturday at 8 and the person said they thought the oil change could be done that morning.

We had a great experience at Lithia Kia of Anchorage! Our Salesman John Colbry was very patient with all of our questions and showed us everything within our budget that met our needs. There wasn't a lot of pressure to buy and I never felt rushed. The finance guys answered all of our questions and we were able to work out affordable payments that included the extended warranty. Our car needed to be detailed and a few things looked at (a headlight replaced and whatnot). John did a great job keeping us informed on the status and the Service Manager didn't mind taking the time to explain everything that was done in layman's terms for me. Everyone was very pleasant and they took good care of us. We had looked at a couple dealerships but I'm glad we chose this one. We will use them again for the next vehicle!

From having a totaled truck into a new truck was hard to finalize. Lithia Kia help me out and understand that car shopping without the haggle was actually possible. Great help in purchasing my KIA Niro. Rich, and Dylon were able to walk me through the sales price without any problems, even though we were working 300+ miles apart. When Rich told me my KIA would be delivered to my door within a couple of days, I didn't believe it! But, they did! My Niro continues to surprise me each time I get behind the wheel; superb gas mileage, great handling, comfortable seating, easy to use instrumentation and fantastic audio system.

I am a first time car buyer and it can be very intimidating to make such a large purchase your first time. But I am so glad I chose Kia of anchorage to buy from. From the very beginning they were very nice and really efficient. The thing I loved most about the experience was they weren t pushy like most sales people they sat me down and asked what exactly I was looking for and what my price range was. They picked a few choices that best suited my options and overall was just a fast, friendly, stress free process. By the way the person who sold me the vehicle was Elexas and she was awesome I would definitely buy from them in the future.

The phone contact left a little to be desired however once I talked to a service rep directly the work, the ride back to the office and pick up went smooth. Everything was done without any headache.

I would never encourage to buy from this dealership. The truck I bought 6 months ago from them has been in the shop 5 times. It's a LEMON! I took it back to them within a week of buying it to demand repairs and they said they'd only fix a few. Their service shop took 4 days for 2 repairs, then I had to take it to the Dodge dealership to fix SAFTY items that Lithia Kia of Anchorage wouldn't!! So far I've had to put close to $5,000 dollars into the truck in just repairs. If I could give the truck back I would in an instant!!!

A friend recommended Lithia Kia to me because he had owned a Kia that was super-reliable. When I got to the dealership, they handcuffed me to the car until four days later I agreed to buy it. That's about how my purchase experience went - except I'm kidding about the handcuffs. Actually I did take four days to decide on the Kia and the staff at Lithia were extremely helpful and respectful, I only felt served and never pressured with my decision. Very pleased with the car, too.

Sales personnel are rude and unprofessional. They use high pressure tactics to try and get you to purchase a vehicle. I was ready to buy a Kia Sorento but their sales techniques turned me off...Caveat Emptor

I chose and purchased my Sportage primarily by telephone, since I live out-of-town. The salesperson was responsive, even if it was unusual to reserve a car for final purchase weeks later. They were friendly but professional.
