For the longest time, I've always been a firm believer that luxury vehicles were overrated and not worth the time and money to maintain. I've always been partial to Toyota because my parents have always bought Corollas and Camrys. My Uncle in SoCal is a Lexus fanatic and I never believed his Lexus cars were that much better until I recently purchased a 2007 Lexus ES 350 after totaling my Corolla. I bought this car from a different dealership in Portland and man, I've had nothing but problems with it and the dealer. Thankfully, I thought of taking it to both of the Lexus dealerships in Oregon. I got it all fixed up at Kuni Lexus of Portland and now it drives very well; it actually feels nicer to drive than my dad's new 2016 Toyota Camry! What I will say is that both Lexus dealerships in Oregon are excellent, but what stood out to me about Kuni Lexus was their killer combo of prompt/efficient/courteous customer service, luxurious waiting lounge complete with fancy coffee machine/snacks/Kuni-Lexus water bottles/fancy chocolate, and a more comprehensive used car inspection. The service team at Kuni actually found an issue that the other dealership didn't find that ended up saving me lots of money in the long run. They were also never pushy to get everything repaired, which stood out to me because I expected to get taken advantage of due to my lack of car knowledge. They were very transparent and honest about what really needed to be done on my car and what were just minor things that could be put off. My service advisor, Brad Dorshorst, went above and beyond to make sure I had my peace of mind about my less-than-perfect Lexus I bought from a shady dealer. He even contacted them with me to call them out for their business practices. It was a very valuable lesson in always getting your car inspected before buying and to also read up on return policies and the fine print on service contracts. I also had a great sales inquiry experience with Lana Tran. She was very prompt and professional with my questions. I also loved driving the 2017 ES 350 loaner car while my car was in the shop. I didn't want to give it back! It was amazing! It was such a treat after a horrible experience at the shady dealer I bought my car from. To top it off, Kuni Lexus even offered to replace my license plates for free with their own dealership plates just so I feel like I bought the car from them. All in all, my experience here was akin to a 5 star hotel experience (yes I've stayed at the Peninsula, New York Palace, Sutton Place, so I know what 5 star service is like.) If I do choose to buy a Lexus vehicle in the future in Oregon, it's a no-brainer: Kuni Lexus of Portland is the way to go!

Bill Turner went over all the work that was needed so we had a clear understanding. Outstanding experience! My wife and I really appreciated the time and service we were given in shopping for our new car. We got there and the car we were interested in was ready and waiting for us. Note: they allow for drive time windows, so if you call ahead to look at a car they will hold it for you for a window of time, unlike some other dealerships, do you can look at it and not spend 45 minutes in traffic for no reason.
While test driving Bergen walked us through the different features for the car, what everything did, the added features that are not normally on the car, and then when we were considering buying she gave us two sets of data on the car as well as service history at the dealership. It was full disclosure for the car right down to a dent or mark that was fixed on the exterior. Bergen even went as far as to help me pull up my insurance card from my email when it wasn't playing nice before the test drive.
Once we decided to buy (after store closing time) we were then given time with a technologist, Rob W. who appeared to have hung around just to be available to walk us through the car if we did buy. He showed us all of the features in depth and set up the car for us and connected our devices.
And finally when it came to the closing paperwork we were way past closing time and Ed S. helped us walk through quickly as our infant was getting fussy after having waited so long at the dealership. Ed moved through everything as quickly as he could to help us get our baby home and to bed, making everything easy and seem less for us.
Even though we stayed way past closing time, we never felt rushed and the staff was all extremely friendly even as the minutes ticked on into the night.

I give this place kudos for being prepared with cars and options we requested to try. The cars were on the lot, clean, keys ready. The assistance of the salesman and one other to walk us through the amenities was quite good. Paperwork that I was told would stay safe on a desk with numbers and a catalog disappeared while we were financing the car. I tried to retrieve it. Disappointing, but I should have been more responsible and kept hold of it. After purchasing a new beautiful 50k car, I asked for an umbrella as a thank you gift; I heard crickets. Last time we bought a Lexus, we were given matching Lexus travel mugs as a gift. So while not perfect, pretty good overall. We've all had 'that' car sales experience in which we roll our eyes; not here. It was nice to see the general manager is female. 4.5+ rating.

Our experience with the sales department was very good... at least for a car dealership they were very good! I did not feel any pressure on making a purchase and when we did reach a negotiated price they processed it very smoothly and efficiently.
I removed a star due to my experience with their service department, my first. I brought our vehicle in at the appointed time for them to do some touch up work on the body paint. They did not have my appointment on their schedule. They went from person to person trying to find out who knew about it and after about 20 minutes they finally put together something or found it. I was not impressed at all by the fact that somebody had dropped the ball. They had originally been the ones who called me to schedule the appointment, so they should ve known about it! In the end it worked out and they provided free loaner car which was very nice of them! I think this was an oddball glitch but think they need to talk to the person who dropped the ball.

Working with David Marshall was really a unique experience for us. He treated us like his number one priority and we really felt taken care of during the long negotiation process. He is the most genuine car salesman I've ever met. Normally my wife and I are judged at dealerships because we are in our 20's and most dealers ask if we want to look in their used lot. I never mentioned to them that I was on a budget. We always know what we are looking for when we are looking to buy a car.
We walked in looking for a new RX 350 and we left with one. Overall we are happy with the service Kuni Lexus offers. Do they offer the best overall dealership experience we've ever had? I'd say yes and no. They do offer the best buying experience, but their service department could step it up a bit. I would say that Wilsonville Audi offers a world class experience in their service department, but you never feel a real connection with the staff. The sales people at Wilsonville Audi just want to sell you a car what ever it takes.

On July 10th 2019 Don Smith @ Kuni Lexus did a vehicle inspection on our 2002 LX 470. We needed an A/C line put in and needed an A/C charge. The A/C line is about 4 ft long and ran from the the passenger front tire to the heat shield just above the muffler. Sounds simple enough. Right? Nope. Lexus wanted to charge me $5,200.00 + to lift my LX 470 off the chassis just to put in the line. That s the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. That was their way of saying we don t want to do it. I found a great shop in Portland to do it under $500.00. They didn t have to lift the body off the chassis either. A/C works awesome , front and rear. It did take 2 weeks though because Kuni Lexus Parts department kept sending the shop owner the wrong parts. The owner of the shop that fixed my LX 470 eventually had to go to Kuni Lexus Part Dept himself to get the right parts. Thanks Jess. You guys rock.

Initially, the experience was pleasant and the sales woman was professional and courteous. However, I've had several issues with the Bluetooth system on board disconnecting my music from the CT 200H vehicle after a phone call comes in. Although the service department reset it, it continues to happen. I also had scheduled a service appointment with them and when I arrived, they had no record of it. They decided to squeeze me in and the service rep indicated that it would take no longer than 30 minutes. Well, it turned to be over 1.5 hours. Had I not complained, I would have waited even longer. Since then, I was contacted by a portfolio manager offering a new lease on another vehicle since ours is coming up due and promised a 24 hour turn around time. I understand things happen so I let a few days go by and yet no response. After 7 days I withdrew my interest in a new lease with Kuni and all the manager could say is "An apology. Not a lack of interest, simply a lack of organization. Had 94 replies, and somehow lost track of your request. Sincere apology". Again, things happen but here I found and they confirmed that they are very disorganized which is a deterrent and a shame especially when working with a luxury brand like Lexus.

Replacement wipers for NX200t. I just purchased new wiper blades from the Kuni Lexus parts department. The reason I purchased new OEM wipers was due to chattering/skipping wipers while raining. I was told from the parts department that all purchases are final, no refunds or returns.
Lexus OEM can't be bad, so I paid $40 for the pair, only to find out the new wipers still chattering/skipping during lite rain.
I then ordered wipers from China for $10 for the pair, and they work excellent??
China also sells the insert replacements for the wipers. In addition, the China wipers that work great are designed with a low silhouette.

This is a note about our experience with Bobbi Bjork who sold my son, Geoff Kirwan, a car last week.
This was the first car that Geoff has purchased on his own. He knew what he wanted and what his budget was. Bobbi took the time to work with him and was very kind with no pressure. She portrayed the kind of professional salesmanship that Lexus trains their people to use. There was a bit of a difference in the sales price and what Geoff could really afford. It was worked out with care and I think that both parties were satisfied.
Not only was Bobbi interested in Geoff and his buying experience, she was also interested in me as the mother ! We had good conversation and it did feel genuine.
I know that Bobbi is a new employee and if she shows these good qualities now, I am confident that she will continue to grow into the company and become a more valuable employee.
Way back in 1998, when I bought my first Lexus from Kuni, I knew Wayne and so the experience was wonderful. I have always trusted Kuni and so I am pleased that Geoff had a good experience.
Just as a note: the only sour part of the day was when we worked with the finance woman. Geoff told her that some of the money was coming from Rivermark and that all she needed to do was to send Traci at Rivermark, the confirmed car purchase price and the money would be available. He would then bring in one check and pick up the car within an hour or so. She wanted to finance it somehow between Lexus and Rivermark. Not only was she short with us, but also with Traci at Rivermark (I happened to be at her desk when Traci was on the phone with her). Anyway it is done now and all is well.

They treated me as well then, as they did when I brought my newest car in for its 1000 mile service check up. Its worth it, to service your Lexus here. Obviously, I'd suggest to go nowhere else, for your Lexus purchase! Ask for Eugene!!!

The service department has lost my business. Things were OK the first time I took my new-to-me 2010 Lexus for an oil change and general service check, back in December. Other than - it cost a crazy $300 and employees seem to have an arrogant attitude! Nothing major was done - just an oil chance and checking things out.
But the other day I stopped by to have them listen to a sound that happens when I'm maneuvering a tight turn. It's soon time for another oil change and general servicing, but I wanted to ask about this noise.
I was told it would cost $160 for someone to sit in the passenger seat and listen for the sound as I turned my steering wheel in the parking lot! Insane! This is not what I expect from a good service department that I can turn to with questions and not get ripped off.
It was obvious the person doing the intake didn't want to help. She told me all of the repair guys were out to lunch (it was around 11:30) and it would be an hour before they were back. I said I'd wait. She seemed annoyed that I was willing to wait an hour for a mechanic to listen to my concern. (BTW - I called the day before and asked if I needed an appointment for this and was told to just stop by any time.)
The intake person told me to just wait until my next oil change. She and someone else came into the waiting room. The other person told me what potential things that could be wrong, and said how the whole steering column would probably need to be taken apart for the analysis! They both seemed to want me out of there (and return later to spend lots of money on diagnostics).
Between her unwelcoming attitude and the cost of listening for the noise in the parking lot, I decided this is not the place I want to do business!
I'm use to having service departments welcome me to stop by or call up with questions -- all answered completely and with respect.
With previous cars, my friendly mechanics would gladly hop in my car and drive around with me for 5 minutes so I could show them the concerning sound or feel. They'd also check things out under the hood, or underneath the body of the car, and not charge for it. They'd only charge if work was done on the car.
So I'm going elsewhere. I've had several good recommendations for places that specialize in Japanese cars, including Lexus.

Just went to have my 2008 ES350 looked at the Beaverton Kuni Lexus dealer and they recommended both front CV axles to be replaced. They wanted to charge me almost $3,000 to have both replaced. I called 4 other mechanics in the area that do axle work and they all charge under $600 for the same thing. These are fully remanufactured or new Lexus parts and are full axles not just boot replacements.
The idea of a company charging 5 times more than any other company, with a warranty that is the same as the dealership is highway robbery. I purchased this vehicle knowing that it was a high end vehicle and expecting to pay a little extra for replacement parts and maintenance but this is ridiculous!!!! I will never take my car back to this dealership and will be selling this car and going with a different top end vehicle, but not a Lexus.

Most of the customers (and myself) were males and the tv was turned to the Third Hour of Today show on NBC which no one was watching. I asked for the employee to put the baseball playoff on which was on ABC. He gave me gooblededook about the way the TV was set up but he didn't even try to fix it. Any TV tjhat can get NBC can get ABC and this gentleman couldn't be bothered. But that has nothing to do with the important part of the service experience which was taking care of my car. Needless to say, I was surprised he didn't want to sit in the back seat and maintain a constant chatter about the RX 350. He let the vehicle do the talking, which we much appreciated.
What has most impressed me, however, has been Jeremy's helpfulness since we drove off the lot. I've always felt that car dealerships are pleased to see you leave, and the only time they're happy to welcome you back is when you're going to spend more money on service. After getting the RX back home, I discovered, much to my horror, that the small blemishes on the hood were much more serious (to me, at least) than I had thought. I mentioned this to Jeremy in an email, and within a day, he notified me that the Lexus shop will be repainting my hood for no cost to me.
This is customer service. Just as the Lexus RX 350 is on a different level than other vehicles I've owned, Lexus of Portland's service is on a higher plane than I've ever experienced. Certainly, at this point, they've earned a new customer.

When our car was totaled at about 40,000 miles and slightly over the the manufacturer s warranty time, we worked with the dealer to get our extended warranty money back. We learned that extended warranty started at the purchase date not the manufacturer warranty expiration date. We end up getting less than half of extended warranty money we paid at the purchase, even though it covered just several months.

A week ago I purchased a Lexus RX330 from Lexus of Portland. Today I want to give my review of the experience as it was so positive.
I had a 2004 RX330 to trade and had loved its handling, comfort & safety and hoped to repeat those attributes in another Lexus.. I left with a new RX350 and a desire to give the highest of compliments to the dealership and salesmember Brian Ford, in particular.
Examples of that experience include the notable sense of no push or pressure at any time from Brian. He knew the RX350, showed me the wonderful changes since 2004, all the while answering my many questions in a genuinely friendly, pleasant manner that I found refreshing. We negotiated a trade and the price differential that left me happily satisfied. Brian encouraged this senior to stop by or call him at any future time should I have questions or want assistance learning the new techno-
logical wonders of my car. I believe he meant that and who knows, if that occurs, I am certain he will gladly be of assistance.
In my first week of driving this new RX350 I am happy to say that the comfort, safety and handling remain as exceptional as ever. It is simply a great car.
Given the cost of a new automobile, we all want a high level of service and satisfaction when purchasing a car. Customer service and satisfaction truly is a 'priority' at Lexus of Portland which is the reason I highly recommend them. Thank you so much Brian and Phil!

Not only is he polite, courteous, & extremely patient with my over picky ness he turned out to be a genuinely nice guy. Beyond the sales process, there was a crack in the grill of my new (to me) car. During the sales process they stated they would repair the blemish. I worked with Darren James in service...one word fits with him EXCEPTIONAL. Darren was not only professional, but he excelled in courtesy as well. They gave me a brand new loaner car to use while my car was being repaired. To make an amazing over all experience better....They replaced the whole grill, rather than putting a band-aid on the crack.
I can not say enough amazing things about this dealership. I walked away not fearful in ever going to their dealership! Professional, Courteous, Understanding, Kind, and SO much more!

It was a little more complicated because I was buying the car while living in a different state. When I arrived for my delivery, there were some issues and she took the time to resolve each of my concerns until I was satisfied. Kuni Lexus of Portland has changed how I feel about car dealerships. I cannot speak highly enough about my experiences with them. I just leased my second business vehicle from Kuni and am tremendously impressed with the service and care they provide their clients. Not only did they bend over backwards to get me into my "perfect car," but I know they offered me the best value they could. I don't worry that I could have gotten a better deal anywhere else.

Took my RX400h to diagnose the radiator leak. Eddie and the team professionally handled the request and confirmed the leak was from the radiator. Knowing it will be expensive fix, they respected my decision to pay them for the diagnosis and take the car to local garage for lower cost fix solely due to the fact that I could get after market parts at better price.
Enjoyed the experience and will look to take my car back there for more diagnosis and regular oil change.

Where do I begin to tell you how satisfied my husband & I were with Daniel Okhotin & his partner, Evan Whitaker??? They are champions. I felt bad that Daniel could not be present the day we decided, on the car, but he was there the day we drove away. I felt like we were part of a big, happy, generous, kind family. Lisa, Trevor & Sean were also outstanding. I don't know where you get your employees but they are all so helpful. They have called us back, on their days off. Now, where do you receive service like that? We sent a couple of friends, from Salem, up to look at convertables but they are not ready to make a decision. I love my ES300H. I think I like it, so much, cause it helps me remember the staff that sold it to me. Daniel, you were the first person we met at Lexus of Portland & you sure did make a good impression, that is why we continued with our purchase.
