Our church purchased an Ice maker. The Ice maker quick working after less than a year. Three of us attempted to contact The Legacy Companies for Service. We would wait on the phone for over an hour with no response on most attempts. If we opted to leave a message someone was supposed to respond within two hours. We never got a response. When we finally got someone on the phone they contacted a local service company they had a contract with and we were told they would contact us to schedule the repair. After several days I contacted the service company only to find out they rejected the service request because they were already over booked. It took over a week to get in touch with The Legacy Companies again. They scheduled another contracted service company. A week later we still have not been contacted to schedule the repair. This has been going on for two months now that we cannot get service or replacement on the ice machine we purchased. This seems like a really bad way to run a business. I do not recommend this companies products as you cannot get service when needed.

Do not buy from this people. i bought a cooler from them about six months ago and now is not working. tried to call them many times but they put me on hold or hanged up on me. let massages but useless.

Terrible customer service. will not honor their own warranty. Left on hold for over 45 minutes and then got hung up on. left several voiemails without a call back. I left several Emails and still no response.

This company makes terrible products. The only 5 star review comes from an employee of the company (who coincidentally shares a last name with the President - check linked in!!) . Avoid at all costs.

I would disregard the person who said "people just...

I would disregard the person who said "people just want to leave a bad review". If you buy from this company its on you. Most people don't complain unless its bad. and I don,t see any other good feed back other than the plant feedback. Anyway I bought a freezer and fridge from this company. The freezer stopped working after just 7 months in service. Legacy took months of sending technician after technician, hours up hours on hold, and the loss of all my frozen goods. Finally they agreed to send me a new unit. i was told I would get a new unit and to just make sure to box up the old unit for them to pick up. When I tried to find out when the new unit would arrive they had changed there answering severe so that it forces you to leave an message and not wait for a live person. Of course no one ever returned my call. 3 weeks later the new unit shows up on my door step. I would have never even left this bad review but now I cant get anyone to return my call on the pick up for the old unit that's boxed up and ready to be pick up. So i paid someone to box it up, its setting at my location taking up space and now ill have to pay someone to haul it off.

They will not call you back and will not follow through on Warranties. Vince who is suppose to be a manager, hung up on me and then when I called back they put me on hold and then hung up on me again.

Purchased a Supreme Refrigeration commercial refrigerator manufactured by Legacy Companies. After doing this for 40 year I know to ask," is it the entire sealed system or just the compressor that has a five year warranty?" Sealed system warranty is 12 months, even though you are told 60 months at purchase. Legacy Companies insured that I was told the compressor alone was covered for five years. To make matters worse, in the time it took to reach an individual in the Service Department, I could have repair the unit. 10 month old commercial reach in purchase prices around $2400 sell price 2499 (to be competitive), restriction in dryer. Cost of repair $221.19.

I bought two freezer units and one refrigeration unit. Since i ordered it from Home Depot online, I felt that the product and manufacturer was legit and reliable. Home Depot wouldn t sell me something that they didn t believe in and backed up. Would they?
One of the freezer units compressor goes out and so I call the manufacturers warranty department. I give them my info and they said they would ship out an new compressor but wouldn t pay for labor. I wait a week and a half and still no compressor. I call and ask the same warranty guy, Don, who took my information, to see what was happening. Don says he doesn t remember and that there was no claim on the system. I give him my info again and he says it will be delivered in a couple days. Another week goes by and no compressor. I try calling and no one picks up. I leave several voicemails and no return call. I ve been trying for the last 3 days. No answer. Even the operator either hangs up or transfers me to another empty voicemail box. This is the most ridiculous company around. I can t believe Home Depot sells their products. Next I m going to call Home Depot to complain and see what happens. I ll give an update about that later.

Have been purchasing my restaurants products from this company for years. At first things were a bit shaky, but since then and even during covid, they have improved dramatically. 5 stars, love their products for my bakery

This company sucks! Don't buy anything from them b/c the moment you have a problem they will just leave you on hold. Been trying to get these guys to take my money for 3 weeks and they just don't want it! This company can't fall off the face of the earth soon enough.

First of all, I bought the Chef's Choice slicer 61...

First of all, I bought the Chef's Choice slicer 610 model years ago, which is now owned by the Legacy Companies. Recently I broke a little black plastic piece called the slicer deflector. I was not able to find a replacement online so I called the customer service, after waiting for a long long time to get to a rep, then finally got a rep to answer my call, she had no idea what I was talking about and I was asked to email directly to the her with a picture, so I did, but never got a response back. A week later I called the customer service again, same thing, emailed the rep directly and never heard back again.

So I decided to write an email directly to their customer service email address listed online, but never got a response, and I also submitted an inquiry directly through the form on the website, and still never got a response.

Then I called for the third time and I complained about my situation, finally the rep did some research and asked someone senior and found out the slice deflector is called the scraper on their website, while the instruction manual itself calls it the slicer deflector, no wonder everyone is confused. The good news is that they do sell this scraper on their website, but the bad news is for model 609A, 610 and 615, they use the same scraper, which is $30!!! While, the other two scrapers for the other models are only $3 and $5. The $5 one is for the high-end models and is much bigger and a clear plastic that looks much more expensive than the $30 one, what gives???? So buyers be aware!!!

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. I have called, left messages, sent emails, etc over the past several months and cannot get a return communication. After purchasing a defective machine from Sam's, made by The Legacy Companies, I have been involving both groups with very little response. The defective machine has finally been picked up (they sent a courier service with no scheduling or announcement--a semi showed up to my house) and cannot get anyone to respond with regard to when my replacement order will be shipped and received. Ridiculous. At this point, I would welcome a refund so I can purchase a reliable ice machine from a reputable company that cares about their customers. I would rate this zero stars if I could.

I've been contacting this company for a whole week trying to get a part for my customer and NOBODY answers my call. When finally I get someone to answer my call they pass my call to parts and they never pick up the call. I have left several messages and NOBODY has contacted me back!!! I would never sell this brand to my customers!! Because they when you have an issue with the junk they sell you cant find the parts to fix them. So if you are looking for refrigeration equipment for your restaurant PLEASE DONT BUY THIS BRAND!!! IT SUCKS!!!

Do not buy any of their products. Once the appliance breaks it is near impossible to get parts to fix. Horrible customer service. They do not answer their phones, respond to emails or even update their parts distributors in a timely fashion. You will find yourself waiting months for parts that will never come. They do not back any of the products that they make. Stay away from all Legacy Brand's including Central Exclusive, Omega, MaxxIce, MaxxCold, MaxxScientific, Chef'sChoice, Avanti, Bevles, Excalibur, Blakeslee, General, Kold Draft, Legion, Nautilus, Inturi, WestBend, Yonanas, Zeroll.

If I could give less than one star, I would. I have been dealing (or NOT dealing, which is the problem) with the company for months now. I have maybe spoken to someone once. TERRIBLE customer service, ZERO communication and still dealing with broken equipment.. on our dime. Awful, awful, awful.
