Beautiful facilities but very busy and noisy. Very expensive but the salt bath in the basement is worth it for a complete stall. Cold baths are not cold enough on hot summer days. Satisfactory massage. Do not go there on weekends or holidays if possible.

So relaxing - the perfect break! They've recently redone the change rooms. There is now a breastfeeding room. I can't imagine it's used much for actual breastfeeding but I've used it to pump and it was very comfortable. There is a rocking chair, change table, power outlet and sink. And the door locks so you have some privacy. As a new mom, Spa Nordik is a great way to relax and focus on myself for a few hours.

nice place, with a lot of choice, however the music is too loud and prevents relaxation. $ 40 more for the salt bath is a bit expensive. we still enjoyed our experience and maybe we'll come back a less busy day

One of North America s best spa experiences. This place has expanded over the last ten years and I m blown away by the facilities they have installed. It has more saunas, steam rooms, woodfire lounges and cold pools than any of the other similar options (Blue Mountain, Whistler, etc.)

Minding a few construction projects that they have on the go (mud room, some new cabin areas), this spa feels huge as it sprawls across a gorgeous Quebec backwoods of waterfalls, trees and rolling hilltops.

I recommend going for the first 4 or last 4 hours of the day, it always seems to get busy mid afternoon.

I've heard alot about Nordik over the years but today was the first time I went. The massage, pools, resting areas, saunas etc are all top notch. The food is a different story. I didn't even finish my meal and neither did my husband, it's not outrageously priced but it's not good. Otherwise, it was amazing and I wouldn't let the food deter you from going at all! Just order apps as opposed to meal/bigger plates.

Had a great day at the spa for our anniversary. Only suggestion I would make is that they do something about making the reception more efficient or at least feel less painful. Starting your day of relaxation by standing in line like cattle for 30+ min is not a great first impression. Maybe implement a take-a-number system where you walk in grab a number and have an idea of how long till you will be served. Let people wander around in a certain contained area where you can get a coffee, get an explanation of how the place works, buy spa items/souvenirs and maybe even let people go ahead and get changed (that might be too complicated).

Reception was a bit slow in checking in, there needs to be more hot stone beds, the restaurant we ate at was slow in the food service also. The facility was super clean. The water was perfect, and the massage therapist was great. Just need to pick up the pace in the kitchen and wait staff need to be a bit more tentative to their guests. Glad this place is smoke free.

Amazing! I went for my birthday, the water baths are the best I didn't have any treatments but the water does enough on its own. It's like nothing else I've ever been to, I like the saunas and the cold water experienced with the hot. It's adrenaline from the cold that turns into endorphins from the hot. It's crazy I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Fantastic place to relax. My wife and I love spending all day here, grabbing lunch and dinner in their restraunts. Last time, we were treated to their Table d'hote, and we were very thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food. I'm positive we'll be doing it again very soon. One bit of a tip, it's usually best if you go when it's between 0 & 10 C. The hot tubs and saunas keep you nice and toasty all day. And the cool air helps you to not overheat.

Very relaxing and nice place to unwind, it's good for romantic dates and family outings. There are different kinds of saunas from all over the world. You can rent robes there and there are free towels to borrow.

It s good, relaxing, clean, organized. Eating here is not as expensive as I thought it would be. Too bad we didn t book the massage before... yet I still think to enjoy that water it s a little expensive but still a very nice new experience

Never been so relaxed yet so hungry at the same time. Word of advise, make sure you go on a full stomach. Both the "jerk" chicken bowl and the Thai noodle bowl were tasteless and expensive. Great big let down for such a first class operation.

The most disappointing SPA experience in the world...

The most disappointing SPA experience in the world to relax. There were so many people that you thought you were in the shopping center. Hot tubs do not have a whirlpool. There are three zones, one silent where there are silence keepers walking around with signs to put the unruly in order. The silence zone is very small and there is no accessible place to relax because there are so many people. The zone whispers when it is not really murmurs but rather lively discussion and the social zone when it is practically the largest. The pool looks like an all-inclusive in the South where everyone has a beer or a cocktail in their hand. Interesting concept for a group. In short, this is really not a spa to relax in silence and especially to avoid as a couple on Saturdays. I could not have a locker for women, I had to put my belongings in a locker of my companion and to finish, impossible to take a shower. 2 showers available in the locker room for dozens of girls who come in and go out permanently. Really a shame, very expensive spa, no service (nobody explained the site to us), no place to relax after the hot cold, very expensive food, and really no calm possible.

A once in a year treat for my family. Messages are as good as anywhere else, but the shared spa services are great. I think it was $40 extra for this, bit well worth the price.

I've also been there for company meetings in the lodges. They are always clean and well stocked, the staff is friendly and accommodating and the views of Chelsea are terrific.

I use to go once a week when I lived in Ottawa 5yrs ago. Now it's to big, to overpriced and the water was cold in three of the "hot" tubes as well as ice cold in the showers.. What a disappointment!!

Love, love, love the Nordik Spa especially during the week days. My only comments is about the food, it s not great and I hoped with the new chef things will improve but it seems like they didn t. We ordered a few items in the lounge and had to go later to the restaurant because we were unsatisfied and hungry :( but the spa itself is great!

The saunas and water circuit are lovely and relaxing. In the afternoons on the weekend, however, the place becomes quite crowded with more of a spring break/beach party vibe. If you're looking for quiet relaxation, you could be disappointed and frustrated by groups of people engaging in conversations with their friends at full volume in and around the pools.

I agree with some of the other commentators here that staff could be more professional and attentive. For instance, no one at the front desk explained how to pay for lunch. We thought it would get charged directly to our accounts based on our wristband numbers. After our meal, my friend and I had to wander back around to the change rooms in search of our wallets; we then had to go back to the front desk to wait in line in our bathrobes to get a staff member to pre-authorize a credit card transaction on their computers; finally, we had to head back to the dining room computer to debit our accounts. An awkward logistical issue that could have been avoided with proper explanation of the payment system at the outset.

In the women's change rooms, the shower-heads are in need of an upgrade.

Going to give this place another try, nevertheless. Looking forward to trying the salt pool and mud baths.

Tranquil healing. Beauty and silence. The best rest and relaxation. Turn off an unplug and unwind!
Well worth it. Block your entire day. Spend no less than 6 hours. Try ever station. Your pass gives full access with no time limit. You are worth it.

Well,I used to love Nordik, but my last 4 visits were horrible. If you want peace and quiet this is not the place to go. It's very busy. People talk EVERYWHERE. The Afgus has turned into a loud noisy production. Seriously, left me with a splitting headache with the clapping and shoutouts. The even messed up our massage time, so literally zero peace and quiet. Even in the quiet hot tub, the staff allowed people they knew to laugh and talk. It was miserable. I've reached the point of saying nordik is exhausting. To anyone looking for peace and quiet and relaxation. I strongly suggest finding somewhere else to go. The drinks were so strong it was like taking a shot of pure vodka. When I complained I couldn't drink my drink there was to much alcohol. I stead of making me a new enjoyable drink I was given a cup of tomato juice to add to the cup, which definitely did not make fore a 12.00 Cesar. Disappointing.

I love this place. I wish the food was a little cheaper. A day at the spa with massages and food with my partner was approx $600! I can concede to $230 for two 1-hour massages, which is fair and earned $30 off the $136 bath access for two; but to spend over $200 on food was expensive and excessive.

The staff its the worst ever (a white guy, I ask his name but he is not answer) not friendly at all for hospitality industry. Really dissapointed about this experience. Won't come back for sure.

Superb place well located in nature clean installation and well equipped with courteous and competent employees as well as a panoply of related services which will enhance your visit to the spa such as the restaurant service as well as the multitude of choice of treatments. on the other hand it is true that it is expensive but The qualities are present everywhere and must be spoiled a little from time to time

This place alone is worth the visit to Ottawa, the salt water floating pool is a gem and one of a kind, this is the closest thing you get to Dead Sea!
The rest of the Spa is also worth the price! Great team and incredibly clean!
Will definitely come back for the Banya reopening.

Although I understand the increase in price I must say it was quite steep. From $53 dollars to $78 is a major increase. Especially when the day of the increase many baths were close for renovation. Please implement a dress code. This is not a resort in Mexico it is a public bath and I really don't need to see your entire bottom. We sit on the same places as other sit and that is pretty inappropriate.

For those interested in a shorter, TL;DR version: ...

For those interested in a shorter, TL;DR version: we got turned away from the spa for not having a reservation (after very little verbiage is used on the website to indicate this is now mandatory), and then finding out that we weren't allowed to purchase entrance, as I was a male, but that there were still dozens of passes for females that remained.

After many years of frequenting Le Nordik multiple times a year, I figured I would take some time off with my girlfriend on a Monday morning to relax at the spa. Although we live on the west coast now, coming back home always means having at least one relaxing day at Le Nordik, to take in the thermal experience.

As usual, we check the opening hours on the website, and from previous experience, decide to be there right as they opened, so we could wait in line and purchase our pass, just like everyone else - this ended up not being the case.

Once we had made the trek out to Chelsea, we were greeted at the door by two gentlemen with tablets that informed us of this new initiative that the spa had started: that a reservation was necessary to gain access to the experience. Although this wasn't front and centre on their website, and although there are still small signs along the walkway that have paths for those "with reservations", and those "without reservations", it wasn't the end of the world.

We were then sent over to the gift shop to enquire about any last minute openings. This is when things really started to go downhill. People joining the queue after us were seen before us, only because they were wearing the pristine white "Le Nordik Spa Nature" bathrobes. Not wanting to make a big deal out of it, we waited patiently until we were told by one of the women working the desk that there were no openings for men (we are a male and female couple), and that if we wanted to enter the spa, the best thing to do would be to call into the call centre throughout the day to see if there had been a cancellation.

After we left the desk annoyed, we decided to see what would happen if we were a "group of 10 women", and to our surprise, every time slot was available for booking on the same day. What doesn't seem to add up is that if Le Nordik used to do walk-ins, regardless of gender, their change-room facilities are the same, and that on our way up to the spa we only saw 2-3 men, whereas we saw dozens of women, why do they now only have an ultra-limited availability for men? From a business standpoint, this seems like a lost opportunity to capitalize on last-minute walk-ins, especially on what appears to be a gender-based model, and from what I have read with other recent reviews, seems like there are many others that share this frustration of the need for reservations not being more prevalent on the website.

After many years of happy visits to the spa, I'm afraid this will be the last time I talk myself, my family, or any of my clients to this location.

Located in the gorgeous hills of some place in Quebec, this stunning retreat filled to the brink with people has many relaxing ways to sooth your body and soul, from Saunas to Pools of different Temperatures to More Saunas this Sau.. the massage therapists are well trained and and there is a method of relation for nearly every niche. Upon my visit I floated for seemingly hours in a pool that was underground in what only Bruce Wayne would describe as homely.

I d recommend if you do visit make sure you have a massage booked for the pools and saunas alone can become a little draining.

Amazing. The staff is great, the staff is friendly, the food is perfect, and the establishment is very well kept. They have a lot to choose from, between different types of saunas, hot tubs of various temperatures, massages.. theres something there for everyone.

I was on the fence about this place over the years...

I was on the fence about this place over the years. I mostly ignored the red flags (overpriced, no discounts even during times of noise and construction, poor communication) because I loved the spa. However, I won't be returning after my last experience. The situation was that the spa had recently re-closed due to COVID, but they hadn't completely updated their website. I booked a special day off work, booked the spa (the website let me book the spa even after it was closed), and also booked a massage for 2 of us, only to discover later that the spa was closed. I spoke with many staff about the problem assuming that they would take some responsibility for their errors. However, this organization took zero responsibility and was highly unprofessional. The staff had a well-rehearsed line about not being able to refund money for the spa because I hadn't paid for the spa. The implication seemed to be that I was lying (even though other staff told me that other customers had experienced the same thing and I had the proof on my ticket). At one point, a manager promised me a coupon for the inconvenience of taking the day off work and travelling to Chelsea for the spa when it was actually closed, and then Le Nordik later reneged on the offer. It's quite shocking that this organization would be so unprofessional.

The best Spa I have ever been to . It was definitely a nice get away , very relaxing , great atmosphere, amazings views and relaxing huge baths and pools. Many different saunas . Perfect locker rooms and wonderful tasty drinks . Such a beautiful relaxing experience that I just keep thinking about and I will have to come back very soon . Worth a 2 hr drive. You feel so relaxed that it would probably be best to rent a room near by . (If you live a bit out if the way ) A great experience !!

I unfortunately had a terrible experience :( the place is not social at all. Stay away if you are trying to have a good time with group of friends. Overwhelmed with security guards walking around and killing fun and memories. Some areas, you cannot talk, some you have to whisper, others dead silence. You are not permitted to take ANY photography apart from the main entrance. Advance booking is required. Massager area/food and drinks on site. Dry/humid Saunas, hot /cold water areas. The place is great, but not talk.

Overpriced, overcrowded, long waiting time, terribly organized, little space, no available parking spots on the weekend and many other bad things like customer service and tiny changing rooms. Stay away.

I enjoyed the spa for the first time this summer. My second experience a few weeks ago was going well until someone stole ONE of my brand new boots! I searched everywhere for my boot, and reported it to lost and found, but it was futile. Management basically told me it was my fault for leaving it under the bench (like everyone else ). There was no way my boots, my backpack and my clothes could fit into a mini locker! Instead of blaming me, Nordic could have been a little more empathetic to my situation. I had to go home in the winter in flip flops! For the amount of money this spa charges, they should be hiring security guards for their change rooms to prevent thieves from stealing other people's property. I will not be back any time soon!

I used to love it here but find it has evolved away from a true Nordic spa to being a place people just hang out in. It made it uncomfortable to be using the saunas and pools properly, but is likely fantastic for some.

I'm writing to thank the helpful couple from Carp that witnessed early afternoon on Sept 16, 2020 a wooden board that fell over and knocked me on the top of my head. Diagnosis slight concussion. Thank you once again to the couple from Carp for your understanding and support. It is people like you both that we need more of in this world.

The spa itself is really nice! But this review is going to be mostly about the lounge. My friend and I went on Sunday the 23rd. The place was pretty full and it was about 3 or 4 o'clock. We sat ourselves at a dirty table and were quickly given menus, and then no one acknowledged us for about 30 minutes. My friend went up to the bar to ask if we could order and they told us our server would be right over. I watched as 3 men behind the bar polished maybe 6 glasses and were mostly just talking about something really funny this entire time while the servers were clearly struggling. We finally waved down a server who was clearly busy and she said she would go grab the person serving our section. She then came back and took our order herself, I assume because our server was busy. I also heard the people next to us complaining that the service was so slow they were going to miss their massages. The rest of the meal went pretty smoothly and the woman who took over, who I believe was the manager was very friendly and attentive. Maybe this was just an off day for the lounge, but as someone who works in restaurants this really did not impress me.

Second time being there with a group of friends, and both times were very fantastic. It's good to plan ahead what you'd like to do such as massages or other services, but the regular saunas and baths available for the entry price are extremely worth it in my opinion. I would definitely advise to bring a very cushy warm bathrobe, sturdy flip flops and an extra cushy towel for afterwards. There is a wonderful meditation space Also in the middle of the baths with tea and music where you could fall asleep for hours.

I love this place and go there 2 to 3 times a month in the colder weather. I really want to give it 5 stars, but On Dec 16th, my work held our xmas party there (my sugestion) there were 7 of us. We all had massages, the baths and a fabulous dinner with a few bottles of wine. I'm sure it cost my boss over 2 500$. It was a great day expect for my massage, it was kinda awful and wanted it over as soon as it started. Firstly it was not booked with the therapist I has requested. And the 60 minute session was not enjoyable at all. I made a complaint and was told someone would email me. No one did, I called twice and was told the manager for the massages would get back to me, no one did. I sent en email and no one has responded to me. This is extremely poor customer service. I frequent this place a lot and convince my work to have our xmas party there. I am very disappointed and a bit disgusted with the fact that no has even bothered to contact me, or the fact that the service was awful.

The highlight of my trip to Ottawa! Sorry, neither the museums, nor the microbreweries would give me a solid reason to come here again. Well, the people of Ottawa , yes, I love you ! But the Nordik spa is the only other reason I would ever come back here!
So let's do the math . We go to island for a weekend and visit the blue lagoon. This is 5 hours flight from NYC . Now, if I fly to Ottawa , it is only am hour away and the Nordik spa offers similar if not greater spa experience. Maybe, I should not compare those two , they are both great still, I enjoyed the Nordik! Thermal baths , saunas , massages and relaxing experience . Try the hot stones and the floating pool .
I shall come back soon ! Oh, the staff is great , very helpful.
PS: Uber does not operate on the territory of Quebec so you would need a taxi to take you back to Ottawa .

Visited with my boyfriend for our anniversary. Was blown away! We went on a Friday, arriving by 10AM and didn't have to wait in any long line up to get it, though it was sprinkling in the morning. We did the spa, a massage, and the kalla treatment. Spa and massage were totally worth the price! The kalla treatment, not so much. It was cool, but not worth ~$50. The salt in the pool actually irritated my body so I could only stay in the pool for ten minutes, an expensive ten minutes. The silent areas were for the most part respected. Loved the hot stone beds. Bring a book! You could spend all day there. The spa was beautiful, pools and hot tubs were clean and nice. Overall, lovely experience.

I'm going for a massage only ... It's one of the best massages I've had in my life! I took the Californian if I remember well and the masso made me another kind of very muscular massage! I LOVED!!! She took off all my knots .... Wow! I brought seized my mother to be massaged at the same time as me and it could not be more! It's beautiful at Spa Nordik, it feels good and the staff is more than excellent!

First timer, but was told almost by everyone that we needed to go. Was not disappointed in the slightest, staff was super helpful and friendly. The therapists were attentive and very eager to address problem areas before getting started. The treatments that cost extra are more then worth their value.
Plenty to do for the whole day, never dragged on. Free to do whatever you please.

To keep it short, this was my wife and I first time here and our last. When you think about a relaxing environment you are not interested in a resort environment. Way too many people and way overpriced. We were very disappointed. Next time we will target a more quiet less populated spa in order to really enjoy a relaxing moment.
