When choosing a spa, it is worth booking a few hours because there are many attractions. It is worth waiting until the evening when lamps are lit that create a unique atmosphere. I experienced a wonderful relaxation here. Cold is even better here.

The spa is laid out very nicely. I mean... it's a spa. It can be hard to say it sucks, but there was some odd customer service that I received here. You get a bracelet that unlocks your locker and you can put money on it for food and drink. That was a nice feature, but they screwed up mine and my fiance's bracelets. It would not unlock the locker and they lost the money that was on the bracelet. They made up for it which was nice. I don't like that they allow alcohol in the infinity hot tub. People get way too loud and vocal when they drink. You have to go in the morning to enjoy peace and quiet here. They try to enforce being quiet, but I feel they aren't doing a very good job. It was very loud when I was there last.

One of the best spa experiences I've ever had! Soft music flows through the environment creating a peaceful ambiance. Clean and beautifully designed, the multiple pools and saunas kept us happy and busy for hours. I can't wait to come back and try their specialty services!

I always enjoy visiting Nordik Spa! If you want a couples massage just phone to book as trying on-line was a bit frustrating. You can relax a whole day away very easily here and spend a lot of money on food and wine if you wanted to. Masseuse staff all top notch. Make sure you try the cold plunge after the sauna as it's so good for your circulation system and also try the thermal spa which is a pretty great for a soak and a meditative float

New notes, September 2020: While I would really like to go back to this spa, reviews from contacts in my network are saying that it's not covid safe. It's one thing to have trouble controlling the patrons, but it's another thing when you hear about staff not wearing masks properly and not enforcing rules. I've attached a stream of reviews that talk about these issues. I won't be returning until covid is under control, but my original review still applies to the pre - covid experience, and hopefully post covid as well.

Original review, 2018: beautiful grounds. This is the second Scandinavian style spa one been to, and in the area so far it's the best one without a doubt. The kalla saltwater pool is a special treat for those with chronic pain issues. Everything is well maintained, there's plenty to do and the staff are young but mostly efficient. It gets overcrowded and I think they should let fewer people in at a time, as there is really no room during peak hours. I really think it's been too crowded for some time now, making the experience much less rejuvenating.

The food in the main resto is very good and flexible if you need a modification. The food on the rest of the property is not flexible, but the options seem to be improving in terms of interest. There are a few vegan options in the main resto but if you need dairy free or vegan anywhere else, you're screwed. Bringing $150 for a few cocktails, main dishes, and a shared chocolate fondue is about right. Later at night people get way too drunk and start getting noisy. How quickly they're silenced depends on which staff is around to shush them. Can be slippery in rainy or winter weather!!! Make a real day of it, bring a book, and take a nap. It's my favorite way to spend 350.00 with my sweetheart...not a cheap date but a good one.

Amazing experience!

Amazing experience!

Stayed 7 hours there late March.
Be sure to add the salt water pool access to your wristband. It's quite the sensory deprivation experience.
Worth the 5 hour drive from Toronto.

Received a very relaxing and amazing service. Received a gift voucher for the Thermal Experience for two and the Gourmet Lunch. The pools and saunas were all in excellent condition and we were provided a changing room with lockers, and a towel which had blowdryers and hair straighteners. Was slightly disappointed the bath robe rental wasn't included, but luckily we brought our own. Lunch was great, warm and very tasty, and came right on time. The waiter made a slight mistake of providing the wrong drink for my partner, but offered to correct it immediately. Was able to stay as long or as short as we wanted, and could do as many cycles as we wanted with a variety of options for each step. The quiet rules were more or less kept, and there were people going around encouraging it. Only downside was that it was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday with limited parking. Make sure to bring sunscreen!

I have gone to this beautiful establishment 3 times this year. So lovely, great for a little day trip or get away. Have gone with some girlfriends, a partner (phenomenal date location-- very romantic), and even a bunch of my mums for a weekend trip (they go every year, I'm just the newest recruit). Highly recommend this place! Relax and enjoy!

Really nice place. Some things were closed but overall there s so much space you can really relax without too many around. This was on a Thursday though so I m sure during the weekend it would be busier. The four in our group really enjoyed the salt pool, if you are only going once or not many times I highly recommend doing this. It s also nice to have a drink while enjoying the hot tubs. Another thing was the food in the main building was good. I wouldn t get the burger again but the mixed bowls like the pesto gnocchi meal was amazing. We will definitely be back again

Nordik is a must-do experience, particularly for couples (or anyone). For the price it's really well worth it for a day of relaxation. Everything is seamless and convenient, and you can leave your phone in the locker for the day to truly unplug. Bring a robe, reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and flip flops (though all are available to rent/purchase).

I love this place, but this is the third time that I am losing my bathrobe here! It makes sense that this might happen once and someone might take it by mistake, but missing it three times and never hear back from them is somehow strange! I tried the rental bathrobe as well, but I was never able to keep it till the end of the day as it got mixed by others. I hope they can find a solution to this problem. It is gross and unsanitary use someone else's bathrobe

Amazing place to relax and enjoy spa and sauna. Only things i didnt like was the food that they called ramen noodle (dont ever get it). It was so little. Another dislike was that if you dont bring your own car even uber wont help you. Taxi which can cost about 25 -35 depending where your hotel is.

THE best massage I've ever had! I had a lovely lady named Joanne, can't wait to go visit her again. The pools and saunas are okay, a little on the smaller side and can get pretty crowded. Overall, still a relaxing experience. Oh, and the food was phenomenal!

This company is a scammer. My wife and I got two gift vouchers during Christmas 2015 from my brother and my sister. They bought them at Bayshore shopping centre on December 12, 2015. We live in Alberta therefore we didn't have the chance to use them. We came back once a year but then left them at home. This last Christmas, we actually remembered and brought with us. We checked at the shopping mall booth to make sure it doesn't have expiry date. They said there's no expiry date, we might just pay for the price difference since it was 4 years ago. We went to the spa on Jan. 2. After waiting for about 1.5 h at the bar, they called us. We went up to the receptionist to check in but then she told us that our voucher were already used on Dec.24, 2015 which is 12 days after purchased date and we only got the gifts on Dec. 25. The vouchers have our names on it and the purchasers' names. the girl then went back to the back discussing with the manager named SERGE for 20 minutes. They both came back out and confirmed the vouchers were used but could not tell us the names that used the vouchers and when we asked how come we still have the original vouchers with our names on it, they couldn't answer. The manager SERGE said he cannot tell us the name of the person used it today bit he will call us the next day and let us know. If we want to go today, we have to pay. After all the hassles, we lost our interest and just left with a big disappointment with the service. SERGE made photo copies of the vouchers and said he will call us the next day. We ended up never heard from SERGE. I called his office on Jan 5 and left him a message but never a call back from him. When we came back to Alberta, I called back on Jan. 20 and spoke to a girl. I briefly told her about the story, so she took down my info and number and said she will make sure to pass it to SERGE but until now, I never heard from him. Therefore, they are scammers, bad customers service. I hope SERGE and his manager read this message. BEWARE!!!

Today on November 10th, my best friend and his wife went for her birthday and left very early. Here is their report: SUPER UNRELAXING due to LOUD TALKING etc in the NO TALKING zone. Pray do tell, what is the point of having a no talking zone when apparent adults, more akin to grown children, COMPLETELY IGNORE this rule, while staff literally do absolutely nothing about it? Also, TOO MANY HOARDS of people! Should there not be a reasonable cut off? They ended up stressed out due to people who don't understand what SILENCE means and hoards of people in every single room. I am addressing the owner now: A birthday was ruined today and I think you owe the husband who paid a lot of money a full refund for the admissions. Thank you.

I went with my sisters and niece late January and loved it! We arrived at opening (with reservations) and stayed past dark to enjoy the lights under the trees. A few tips I appreciated: bring flip flops (or buy a pair there ... but keep track of them, they re easy to mix up with others; leave your phone in your locker, bring a water bottle, and a goofy toque with a poufy pom pom. Exchange towels or bathrobe if they get damp. Bring easy reading for the hammocks or heated beds. Take your time, cycle between hot cold/rest, enjoy the quiet areas, seek out the social spots and the firepits, be patient in the cafes, and above all just wander around through the snow, under the trees, maybe book a massage, or enjoy doing nothing at all.

I had a very bad experience ever. I went in the shower to take a bath, the lady picked up all the robes and when I got out, my robe was gone but my watch was in the pocket. I went to talk to the reception lady about it and told them that I was ready to verify all the robes to find my gucci watch that very same night but she told me it was not necessary because things never get lost there and the company that washes all the robes will definetely send it back to them. I insisted but she guaranted me that they will find my gucci gold watch then i left. 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks... no call, nothing. I called them, they told me the watch was lost, I should contact the company that washes the robes myself but they are not responsible for lost object and that they can not do anything about it. They did not even care at all and the lady kept hanging up on me. It was my first time there but I will never ever return there again. Im pretty sure they stole my watch and that watch was very dear to me, given to me by my dad and he passed away. I have a very sentimental attachment to the watch and they did not care at all. its been 2 months now and I still cant get over it. I dont think I will ever put my feets there again ever...

Had a gift certificate that was about to expire. Called them and they confirmed before the expiry that I could exchange them for newer certificates losing only the year over year price increase. This seemed reasonable but when I went in to exchange them (now after the expiry), they refused. I'm left out a few hundred dollars.

Will never darken they doorway again and I would encourage you to do the same.

I love the Nordik and have had decent experiences in the past, (minus having my flip flops that I purchased from the shop stolen.)

Over the years it has gotten more expensive and beyond crowded. $12 to rent a bathrobe, that according to some reviews you cannot exchange if it gets wet.

Was looking forward to a nice relaxing day at the spa all week and showed up today before noon and the line to get into the reception was out the door and down the stairs, borderline to the entrance sign on the stairs!

Ended up leaving after waiting 20 mins without the line moving. I also had to pee like a race horse and wasn't able to cut the line and use the facilities. Obviously with the increase in popularity more people are flocking here, but perhaps include wait times on the website so people don't drive out and unexpectedly end up stuck in line for hours.

Maybe introduce an actual booking time for the baths to maybe solve the line crisis or as mention post wait times online.

The parking lots are just a disaster with gapping pot holes and massive puddles that could take out the front end of your car. Why not pave the parking lots - you obviously make enough money with all the crowds coming in daily.

Based on other reviews it is best to go on a weekday. Guess I'll have to book a day off work to use my gift card...

Good place. A lot of spa / sauna / pool / sitting places to choose from. The staff was nice to us, unlike some of the reviews I've read.

My only complaint is about the restaurant's dress code requirement.. Even though it is a place where everyone is in swimsuit all day; to eat at the restaurant you need to go back to your locker. Get a shirt. Go to the restaurant. Then eat. Then after that you can go to your locker. Take off the shirt. And then go back to spa. Seems like a totally unnecessary requirement. Especially since it is open and you see everyone in swimsuit outside.

Aside from this. I had a great day there and will be returning.

Great facility. We visited on New Years Day and except for a lineup while we got registered, it was a wonderful spa experience. There are lots of choices of hot rooms, saunas, spaces and pools to relax. Our favourite was the Russian sauna. Pro tip: Remember to bring a hat, sunglasses and refillable water bottle.

Having taken steps to reserve the Lodge (cottage o...

Having taken steps to reserve the Lodge (cottage on the site of the Nordik) for a girl-only weekend for my wife's surprise birthday with seven sisters, sister-in-law and friends, I was told last night (2 weeks after having confirmed) that my reservation was cancelled!

In January, I had inquired about the availability of the Nordik Lodge in the coming months. March 16-17 dates were given to me as tentatively reserved for me, which I had to confirm before February 5. On February 4, after leaving a message in the morning, the person responsible for booking called me back to confirm my booking from March 16 to 17 (yes, 2013!) at the Lodge for 8 people. I just had to confirm the details a couple days later for the packages, treatments (15 in total) and catering menus for dinner and breakfast, which I did on Feb. 13 by sending a detailed list of names, choice of menus, packages , treatments, baths, swimming pool,...

It was just starting to look like a dream weekend for all the girls invited! They were very excited to go.

On February 19 (yes, 2013!), at around 11:00 PM (yes, PM!), I received an email that tells me that my reservation no longer holds. Without further explanation, but a simple "sorry"!

I tried to talk to the manager of customer service this morning (Feb. 20), I'm still expecting an answer ...

I had read some reviews on Google+ or TripAdvisor about their customer service and in relation to reservations that had mysteriously disappeared. I did not think it was so obvious!

With the hope that Wakefield Mill, Amerispa or Chateau Montebello will have something for me.

I hope it will serve as a lesson to those who think they have a confirmed reservation at Le Nordik! (Perhaps a notarized confirmation letter would be the best approach to confirm!).

Will never go again! Went on a weekend and booked massages. Dangerous walk up passing lines of people waiting to get in baths and people coming down - I almost fell!! Waited over 30 minutes to get in for a booked appoint in a hot crowded stairwell! Not organized at all for these crowds! Never coming back! Rediculous.

Worst customer service. Spent a good amount of money to be there, had my robe stolen with my personal belongings in it. Staff refused to do anything about it because "it would ruin the tranquility of others", even tho I don't get how people are suppose to be in tranquility when their surrounded by thiefs. Further more was told because it was at such capacity, there is no extra robe for me nor will I get refunded for the robe I can no longer wear.

Altogether, it was a beautiful place filled with staff who don't care about you once you paid and thiefs who are going through people's pockets and taking whatever seems attractive.

There are plenty of better spa's that aren't 2 hours away and will treat you with the value you paid to be there. Would never go back.
