I adore going there with my wife. It's so relaxing, installations are well maintained and service is always good. I like the fact that they forbid the use of cellphone while in the tubs area, because you should disconnect from your cellphone, but I've seen people with theirs.

The food at their restaurant is extremely pricey for what you have. The plate is beautiful and all but I paid 50$ for 2 spinach dip with pita bread and some vegetables and 2 drinks. It's extremely expensive and wouldn't pay more than 10$ for the quality of the food; I mean it's a cold appetizer. I wouldn't recommend that you go for the food.

Location is amazing though. Easily accessible from Hwy 5 at the exit for Chelsea, the entrance for the spa is right after the overpass. Although you are next to the highway and the town, it's really quiet and you don't hear the noise from the town/car. I would definitely recommend a day at this spa.

What can I say?! It was busy and I think maybe my fav outdoor water therapies has gotten a bit bigger, a bit more corporate and a bit less relaxing. The 90 min massage I had with Isabelle TIttlit was AMAZING she was - AMAZING and coming from me - I works with my own body and other peoples bodies every day - that's not an easily earned statement. The stars go to Isabelle... otherwise check in was busy and stressful. The baths were busy and chatty. The new wrist band payment system and having to deal w front desk several times was time intensive and stressful... not the energy I needed and was looking forward to.

As for food... my mother loved her Braised Beef and I ate my ATLANTIC LINE CAUGHT HALIBUT
bc it was clean and healthy but rather insipid mostly I suspect bc of the coconut broth, while the egg noodle was difficult to work with.

We booked an appointment for a massage for one hour. En route to the appointment, we were met with a heavy traffic jam due to an accident that made the news that day. We called the spa and told them that we are on our way but will be late. Eventually we arrived half hour late. They refused to provide any service and we still had to pay the full amount. They did not even provide the half hour service - the time still remaining on our appointment. The staff was rude and did not have any collaborative approach. They did not offer any service in-lieu of or any discount on further service. We felt quite cheated because there was still half hour left on our appointment.
I won't recommend this to anyone who values customer service or values their money's worth.

Great place, very relaxing and calm atmosphere. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how terrible our service was at the restaurant. We waited for 30 minutes before the waitress took our order, another 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and after asking for the bill, we had to wait for another 20 minutes! The waitress didn't apologize or seem sorry at all. By the time my burger came, I wish I had ordered 2 because I was so hungry. The people at the table beside us had the same problem, and they had a massage booked at 3:00 and had already been waiting 20 minutes for their order to be taken. The food was delicious but I hated having to waste so much time at the restaurant. But the spa totally made up for it! Highly suggest attending Aufguss during the winter.

Great experience. It took about an hour to line up to get registered on Good Friday morning but its expected for a long weekend. Its big enough that it didnt feel crowded even with the number of people there. The hot pools could be hotter. The changerooms are nice and big w private showers. Would definitely return!

Yesterday, i was at Le Nordik in Chelsea. This place is so beautiful, there are many facilities in this site, lots of saunas, steam bath, relaxation area and spa. Many places to eat and drink with friends/couples. I came solo but it's better with friends and/or couple because this place is made for that. The only downside is that there are many people especially the weekend, so the wait is longer.

Extremely relaxing, great atmosphere. The staff are fluent in both English and French. We enjoyed a couples massage and relaxing in all of the different pools and saunas. Will definitely be back again

If you need to getaway for a day, this is the best place to go. The atmosphere is relaxing and the services provided are second to none. There are many different saunas and each provides a different experience. I love the hammocks that you can wrap yourself up in while you read a book. It's the perfect place for anyone wanting a staycation.

If you ever need a day away, this is the best option. You can relax in the many saunas and pools. The food is delicious. The options you have to sit or lay down are many.
Last night I had a massage with Jeremie ( I hope I spell his name correctly) and it was the perfect way to end my day at the spa. I left even more relaxed than I usually do and I recommend him to anyone looking for a massage therapist, for either deep tissue or relaxation he has it covered.
Everyone there aim to make the experience fun yet relaxing and they are on the mark.

Friendly service in English or French! An amazing place to soak your aches away with many options for pools, saunas, & different temperatures! You will enjoy this place a lot more if the air temperature is below zero Celsius (32 Fahrenheit), but you can still enjoy it at higher temperatures.

Almost all of the pool and sauna areas are whisper or silent areas and alcohol free with the exception of the bar hot pool where you can have a normal conversation while enjoying a class of wine or beer. Having a drink in the hot pool is such a great experience and it s something many spas in Canada will not allow you to do.

We did not try the food there but many people seemed like they were enjoying having it!

This is a great place to celebrate an anniversary, treat a friend, or just endulge for a solo day of relaxation. Set in a picturesque location. Facilities are relatively well-kept. Food is decent. Gets busy during mid-day. Definitely worth visiting during the winter months.

A beautiful place, I highly recommend it. Located on different levels of the hill, all outdoor pools, many different relaxation zones, different types of saunas to choose from, bars and restaurants available inside, free parking. A large queue to enter. Prices, as in Canada, but it's worth using

Always a treat. Quiet, clean, with many features. Unfortunately with the construction there are a lot of parts closed off while still requiring full payment. The construction also did take away from the serenity of the pools - it's less relaxing sitting in a hot tub in silence while simultaneously listening to the screeching and banging of heavy machinery. I realize it's a necessary evil but perhaps a discounted rate during such times would be an option in the future.

Very nice and relaxing experience. Weather wasn't the greatest but didn't really take away from the day; if anything it being a weekday on top of grey and misty meant there wasn't a huge crowd so no wait times. My only complaint would be the ridiculous amount of flies in the relaxation room and the dining rooms. Nothing more relaxing than flies crawling all over you; and nothing more appetizing then flies all over your charcuterie and cheese boards :S

Absolutely amazing experience. Extremely relaxing and very enjoyable. We went on one of the busiest days they've had and it still felt personal and not over crowded. People were friendly and for those of us who don't speak French were extremely accommodating. Additionally, they were out of robes but refunded us the money and were very apologetic, we were able to use that on dinner later or it could have been refunded back to card aswell. I advise going to the small hot pool above the infinity pool to the right and side. It's more secluded and feels like more of a personal space if thats what you're looking for.

Super cool experience. I loved the outdoor setting and the staff were all lovely. I went with a friend but would also be romantic as a couple. Not recommended for groups as you are supposed to be quiet. I wish there was a bit more policing for noise makers though and it was really busy. The extra options where a bit expensive but the restaurant was good and not bad priced either.

Overly expensive and not well organized. The location is lovely, and the facilities are well maintained, but there are serious drawbacks.

1. There is a lack of signage, and not enough toilets. The only reliable place to find a toilet is in the change rooms, and then, some of the toilets are not marked as such! So you're left wandering and walking into stalls, hoping that it's the right one. Also, no signs indicating where the exit is, and so once you've completed the maze and successfully found a toilet, navigating your way back to the door (and remembering the path you took) is not obvious. Given that they sell alcohol, this oversight seems to be bordering on incompetence.

2. The quiet zones/spaces are not so quiet. It's more like a party space. I half expected that staff would come around and remind people to observe silence, but was disappointed. If you're coming in a group/for a party, then this might be a selling point.

3. The food in the restaurant had gourmet pricing, but ended up being very mediocre.

4. The entrance fee itself is ridiculous, but it's in the Ottawa region so to be expected? If you don't bring your own bathrobe, it's close to 100$ for your visit. Prices are 30-40% cheaper in Montreal for an arguably better experience.

My husband and I attended yesterday (we have been many times in the past) and it seems that it just becoming more and more of a theme park. We decided to go on a Saturday which was a HUGE mistake. We waited in line for close to an hour to get in. By the time we reached the service desk they had no sandals left in even close to our size (didn't realize we needed our own. Seem to have forgot that part from other experiences). The staff told us we could go out and walk around with bare feet and it wouldn't be a problem (lots of people do that is what they said) so we decided to go ahead. Unfortunately there was salt everywhere on the ground and our feet were freezing trying to get from one place to the next. We went into one hot tub and one sauna. The noise was terrible. It was not quiet at all even though it was supposed to be. There were groups of people talking normally and it was incredibly distracting, especially since we went to relax. My husband eventually went and bought me a pair of size 13/14 mens sandals (to which we had to pay? Not sure why they don't just lend them out like every other spa that we have ever been to). It seemed like it would go fine from that point but then we went to go have lunch and were told that we both needed shoes in the eating area. The staff had originally told us we could go everywhere without shoes. In the end we asked for our money back since we were not going to be able to enjoy the place. We have been going for many years and the past couple times have been more and more disappointing. I do the see the beauty in the location but it has completely lost it's appeal of being a place to relax. Plus they charge for bath robes (and sandals apparently). This is NOT common in the spa industry and is really quite off putting. The staff member that we dealt with that day was very kind though and she was completely understanding. It did take a significant amount of time to process the refund though (at least 15 mins). Take away: Don't got on a weekend unless you want to wait in line and spend your time at a social event. If you want to relax the staff suggested a Tuesday or Wednesday (though it appears from another review that mid week may not even be quiet). We will definitely be looking for other options in the future if we want to spend a day relaxing.

Had a great visit during Labor Day weekend, wasn't too crowded, Covid restrictions being respected.
Kalla is worth the money if you want a quiet place to relax & float. I liked Kalla better than getting a traditional massage.
You must reserve & pay in advance due to Covid.
Will definitely return again.
Pricing on par with similar high-end spas.

Love love love this place. There is something for everyone! Looking for a quiet meditation? Head for the saunas in the silent area! Want to soak up the heat and chat with your spa-buddy? Go for the gorgeous heated pool overlooking the hills(killer view!)! Spending some quiet time with someone but know you're going to have something to chat about? The whisper area is awesome :) I could probably live in the eucalyptus steam room of they let me!The drinks are delectable, the food is tasty, and the service is impeccable! Bring your own towel and a bathrobe for added comfort and saving some coin. Next time we are going at night to try out that atmosphere!

I love the Nordik. The place is always very welcoming, very clean and the employees courteous. No waiting this morning to access the site because I had a reservation. Lots of employees on site to speed up the process. My dinner was delicious (sweet potato soup, apple and ginger, mushroom dip and the Xegon crispy caramel dessert + litchee martini). To sum up if you don't want to read my entire review, allow yourself a lot of extra time if you don t plan on booking a massage to get through the initial line, as you will be waiting as long as it takes to get all the VIP s through as they show up.

***
As you pull up to Nordik you are greeted by a warm welcoming atmosphere consisting of calming music beautiful landscapes and dribbling waterfalls. You walk under an entryway promising that Your relaxation experience starts here .

As you re still trying to take in all the majestic beauty that Nordik has to offer you re greeted by an enormous line and you get the same feeling that you had when you found out that it was your parents putting those Christmas presents under the tree the entry way was a lie. A smirking man that identifies himself as the savant of spa management asks you as you stand in line, Do you have a massagggeee booked today he giggles. A couple patrons come forward and he shuffles them to the front of the line, it becomes clear that there is a class system. He laughs and points out to everyone else in line that they should have bought a massage This is not an exaggeration this is something he was actually doing laughing and mocking people standing in line for an hour, great customer service for a manager!

After being at the front of the line for 30 minutes without moving as more and more massage acquiring patrons are shuffled to the front. I ask the Spa manager about Nordik s policies on this. He point at the people lined up and lets me and everyone else in line know those are the VIPs and that the regular customers can expect to wait as long as it takes to get the VIPs through. It doesn t matter if their massage 4 hours from now or 30 minutes from now they will get put through before the third class spa goers.

When we voiced our objection to this policy he responded that he could limit our time here as he didn t like our attitude and if we didn t just take his abuse he would remove us from the spa. When we asked to speak to another manager after he left, we got brought back the same guy, he laughed and mocked us hahaha me again, I m the only manager, hahaha . I suspect he told us that there was no one else to complain to as he didn t want us letting other management know that he was laughing at the customers in line as they waited.

After all this I wanted to leave but it is my girlfriend s favorite place (she has literally gone 50+ times in the past 5 years) and we had taken the day off work so, defeated we gave our money and tried to enjoy the rest of our day. Even as we walked by him after paying he was getting into another argument with some other customers that had been standing in the unmoving line, we warned them not to argue with him he would surely eject them and their negative attitudes .

The rest of the day went quite well, all other staff was courteous and well-mannered even the cashier that was helping us while the Sole manager of Nordik berated us. The food at the restaurant was amazing as usual as well. We will return again as this has been our only negative experience but, I really hope we never have to deal with the power tripping manager again.

I was very sad on the price of the food vs the quality. I payed 68$ with tip for 2 grilled cheese, dumplings. One beer and one cocktail. The grilled cheese had nothing special. I also ordered artichoke dip. The dip was ice cold. They never warmed up the dip for us. I was deeply saddened by that experience. I went there before and had the best culinary experience. That experience is no more. Their quality went down significantly. No more Finland Spa experience due to COVID 19. I am not ready to go back, especially during the pandemic.

It used to be a great experience. Now it s overpriced and the quality of the service, food and amenities is subpar. Got food poisoning and was sick for 2 days after eating their food. There s been some significant cuts in the quality of service and food and for the price that they re charging, it s not acceptable. I ve been going since it initially opened. Now it just feels like a factory. Pre- covid the overall experience had gone downhill and now it s worse. Since they have the monopoly in the area , I guess they just don t care anymore. Very sad to see.

We used to love this place and felt so excited to go again. But they have become driven by profit and have no sense of customer service or basic kindness. They totally ruined my day with my daughter.

By far the largest and most beautiful spa in the country, a must for both winter and summer visitors! It s really a wonderful place, relaxing and enjoyable. Whirlpools, saunas, panoramic swimming pool with life in Ottawa, cold water cascades, heated beds, hammocks, restaurants, bar, etc. There is something for every taste. The spa is sometimes a victim of its popularity, so be sure to book in advance. They have a breastfeeding room, convenient for treatments and massages. I love green roofs! COVID UPDATE: Many measures are in place, including closing steam rooms, exfoliant and mini saunas. The employees all wore masks and cleaned as they went. We felt confident. In addition, the day we went there were less than 100 visitors to the site, which made the experience even more relaxing than usual!

Amazing atmosphere! The price was fantastic, and there was new activities there since I'd last been. They could do more to keep the quiet areas a bit quieter.
Bring flip flops and you can even bring your own robe to save the rental fee.

Went to Nordik today, waited in line for half an hour at the door just to get on a waiting list that was claimed to be maximum 2 hours long. This was at 2:58pm. Got a text at 8:24pm that they were finally ready for us. So you re telling customers it s a 2h wait, but it was actually 5 and a half, is this your first year in business?!? Oh wait, no, it s not. My friend was visiting from California for the weekend and so this was not cool at all. Just be honest with customers instead of giving them false hope, it s not classy and frankly quite rude.

This is one of my most favoured places to visit. Absolutely gorgeous scenery, fabulous pools and saunas, places to rest, love sitting by the fires, and the food is excellent and challenges a person to try new things.

Unfortunately, my last two visits have not been very good. I go 2-3 times a year, but in March and August of this year, customer service has been VERY bad. Unhappy staff, miserable wait staff who do not smile or seem to want to be working in the restaurants. In March, the cafe closed hours early for no reason. One waitress in the main restaurant took an extra tip from the bracelet. The boutique did not have Comfort Zone products used in the treatment. I was just here this past weekend for my mother's birthday, and unfortunately, our server was incredibly unhappy, despite us being a very joyful group.

Too bad. I love, love, love this spa but the staff makes me uncomfortable and feeling like I am intruding....

Great place, but towels and dressing gowns are "cheapette" rough and not very absorbent. They could also provide a line of better quality products in the shower, as do similar establishments. So bring your products otherwise you will never unravel your hair.

Since the visits last spring there is a lot of changes! The personal is not really nice anymore and you absolutely need a reservation- which was a big surprise since it s not really clear indicated at the mobile home page. To be honest, non-friendly personal experience, overcrowded waiting rooms and long waiting times have overwhelmed the relaxing experience.

I am so in love with this place! I have been going here for years and this place does not disappoint. Throughout the years they have added so much more (kalla treatment (which is a must try) additional saunas, steam rooms, pools etc). Prices have certainly gone up however with many more features it is understandable. I love every aspect of this place other than the LONG wait times! Do yourself a favour and go on off days like during the week or on holidays so that it s not so crowded. Coming here is like having a mini vacation.. I love it in the winter and in the summer months!

Be prepared to line up to get in at the Nordik spa in Chelsea, QC. Arrived at 10:30 a.m. on Monday and had a 45-minute wait. Once you're in, this place is pretty wonderful for relaxing. Beautiful surroundings in Gatineau Park.
Just a few niggles:
- Staff should circulate to gently remind people to respect the Whisper zone. Apparently, people can't read the signs. We're supposed to be relaxing, remember?
- Stairs should have lighting at night; it's an accident waiting to happen.
- Post maps near the relaxation areas so it's easier to discover all the new features.
Merci!
