I stayed here April 15-17, 2017. It's a fantastic location easy walking distance to the French Quarter, the park along the mighty Mississippi, the stunning new WW II museum and many other places.

The rooms are all on the outer walls of the tall tower and when I opened my door, you have to swing it way back to get into the room. It's the oddest hotel door I've ever seen.

This is the first time I've ever been in a hotel where the bed had no top sheet. All that was there was a heavy comforter that made you too warm. I slept with the narrow decorative duvet over me so I wouldn't roast. I'm sure I could have called downstairs and had them send up a top sheet. The point is I just expected the bed to have one.

The overall decorating theme is modern. The bathroom had a spacious shower for water sports. The toilet paper holder was broken which I thought was odd as I'd expect the housekeepers who maintain the rooms to report that to the maintenance crew.

The hot-water handle on the sink faucet was also out of adjustment. Neither bath defect stopped you from using the room.

The price of the food in the downstairs restaurant may make your eyelids get stuck in the open position. I had breakfast there and it was above average. But I feel the food was way overpriced. I get it as they need to make a profit.

All in all, I'd absolutely stay here again.
