Quiet, comfortable and convenient. This is the best airport hotel. The beds are super comfortable. They have great customer service - we needed to stay on US time and they were very accommodating with our food needs. Restaurant in the lobby is great. Business center was very accessible and comfortable. It's literally across the street from the terminal, so very convenient if you're there for a layover or just a few nights for business. Will stay here again.

A relaxing oasis amid the hussle bussle of Gatwick. Everything was perfect and the staff were amazing, helpful, pleasant and friendly. Great experience.

I was at Sofitel hotel for two hours meeting. Did not really use a hotel room as such. The bar restaurant service was a little disappointing because they had ran out of two drinks I requested so, I had to accept what they had. Otherwise, I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Perfect location to airport. Lovey big atrium lobby on which the restaurants back on to. Main restaurant service i found was slow and staff lacking understanding of what is vegan although they were very friendly. rooms well maintained and modern.

Efficient check-in. Easy parking - although the price breaks made it very expensive - I had to buy 16 days for just over 8 days parking. Superb Thai restaurant, Excellent breakfast selection and quality, good overall facilities and so convenient for both Terminals.

4 day work visit, accommodation was great and meal in the brasserie was superb

A complete and utter rip off. Over priced and underwelming. Food was exepensive. Have to pay for wifi in this day and age. They scew you for every penny.

Meeting room was fine. It had comfy chairs and the display worked well.

Very pleased with the room nice and comfortable even though we stayed there one night before went to St Lucia could have a meal there in the evening which was fantastic I would recommend the hotel and the food the only reason I didn't give It 5 Stars is the guy that checked us in didn't know what it was doing but other than that fantastic

Good place to stay when flying early. Room was clean and comfortable. Got a good rate booking early. Easy to get to South Terminal using shuttle.

Make sure you get one of rooms which points our to the runway, if you have kids!

We had a fantastic overnight stay on the 12th May. We were heading to the Caribbean on 13th for our honeymoon and wanted to relax before our long flight! We were upgraded on arrival and made to feel extremely welcome. All staff were very friendly and the room was lovely and clean and I must say that the bed is extremely comfortable and allowed us a fantastic nights sleep! Thank you all for a lovely stay!

Great hotel on the North Terminal... good choice of places to eat... Very good customer service.

I would like to congratulate the staff on duty on the 18th Sept around 8pm for the help they gave myself and partner collecting a car after a flight from Sicily with Easy-jet. My partner received an injury at the airport in Sicily and was offered no help from Easy-jet, so thanks again Sofitel we have stayed before and will stay again.

Brilliant location, so handy! Very nice rooms, spacious, modern, great price, all room service food was tasty, not overpriced and food arrived in good time. Comfy bed, douvets and pillows.

Fantastic location, food, room and hotel. Was exactly what we were looking for, great gym facilities at all hours, this was the perfect nights stay, we will definitely stay again.

As airport hotels go this is a good one, especially if your plane departs from Gatwick s North Terminal. We were out of bed and through check-in in under 20 minutes. Result!

Very clean and friendly...very expensive bar and food however which could have been better..have stayed several times and each visit the same..

The hotel property is exemplary. My rating is solely based on the customer service and lack of sensitivity provided during my personal reservation experience.

I really like the Sofitel brand. But having booked a club level room it was disappointing to find out on check-in (it would have been nice to know when I made the reservation) that the lounge was closed for refurbishment, with further refurbishment on the podium floor. Temporary arrangements for the lounge ended at 20:00 - I arrived at 21:00.

We have stayed at the Gatwick Sofitel several times and have always been very satisfied. The service is excellent, the room very comfortable and the fact that it only takes a few minutes to walk to Gatwick North Terminal makes our journey so much easier.

Either staying overnight or if you just fancy just a different evening out, you will find awesome attentive staff. (especially the Concierge Boys). Lovely posh hotel feel with good food and coffee. Choice of daytime and night time eateries and bars. Evenings sitting in the upstairs Le Ciel bar once the daily "lighting ritual" is complete is a must especially in winter time.
La Terrasse has a classy feel day or night.
Just sit and watch the world go by before your flight......Rooms are super clean and comfortable.

Just the best to wind down after a frantic journey. Excellent courteous staff in all areas with the best beds of any hotel!! On arrival in our room we immediately experienced an hotel evacuation. Thankfully a false alarm but for us a quick exit with no problem.

Hotel very nice food and drinks overpriced and upon our return from holiday was informed that our barcode on our car key fob had been lost so after a 9 hour flight we had to wait over an hour for them to locate it 7

A lovely day stay. We stayed just for a morning and afternoon after a dreadful flight back from Las Vegas!
Check in was great. Room a bit small but fine for our needs.
A perfect hotel to get a few hours sleep before our flight back home to Aberdeen.
Looking forward to staying here again in a weeks time!!!

A good way to avoid a ridiculously early start for an early flight from Gatwick

Conveniently located right at North Terminal of Gatwick airport. Many restaurant choices, fast WiFI.

Always excellent at the Sofitel . We use the stay and park facility which is excellent both for quality and value .

Arrived at 1.30am after a long flight, were upgraded to a suite on the 7th floor.
Great room, all comforts you expect.
Breakfast was excellent, although we were a bit late.
Staff very helpful, whole place quiet and professional.

Rooms good. Standard of the hotel was fantastic. Be careful when ordering food or even a pint of beer as a service charge is added of 20%! I thought this was very cheeky.

We booked a superior twin, clean and tidy but very small. Had to move the bed to get into the wardrobe. No pictures on the walls. At breakfast the normal restaurant was under going a refit but no bacon available, no black pudding either but in fairness the staff were good and service quick.

Very convenient for the north terminal, rooms are always comfortable and very clean. The lobby bar is a good spot for a drink and relax.

The Sofitel is very conveniently placed at the airport. If you arrive by train and then use the short shuttle between terminals the hotel entrance is still under cover at the North Terminal and not very far to carry suitcases etc. After an overnight stay just amble out of the hotel and the bag drop and check in positions are literally a few yards away, or hop back on to the shuttle to the South Terminal. Check in at the hotel was swift, the staff are very helpful. The room was clean, tidy and decorated well. What more do you need for a one night stay. The only downside is the cost of the room in proportion to the time spent there if you, like me arrive in the evening and have an approximate flight departure of say 05.30 hours.

Great value with parking. Rooms are nice and clean and a decent size. Bathrooms ok too. Towels are good quality but a bit rough. Good value hotel.

I never stayed in airport hotels before this trip but have now sampled the Stamford Plaza which was great and now we are at the Sofitel at Gatwick south of London. Have to say I really like this place, amenities are first class, no shortage of facilities and so far, nothing is a problem.

Had a lovely evening. My only complaint was the Chinese meal was extremely expensive.

This is the perfect location for an early flight from north terminal at Gatwick. The hotel, although large, has a calm and friendly atmosphere. Although the main foyer, bar and restaurant was very busy, the lifts were never full and the floor/room was quiet and comfortable. This hotel was recommended to me for the best place to stay when leaving early for a flight. I would recommend again and return.

Easy to book,easy to find and a very pleasurable experience.

Front desk staff not helpful. 1st room checked in was dirty. Lifts had long waits. Cafe in lobby had nightmare service. Good came 35 minutes. Water came 30 minutes. Good was burnt. Would excepted much better from Sofitel. Stay was very stressful.

This hotel is one of the best choice for people who wants to be close to north terminal at gatwick. Has a lot of facilities for meetings also.

This is the best hotel ever.Have only stayed here twice as we usually stay at Crowne Plaza.But worth a bit more as a special treat

the room was comfortable, the bathroom a bit dated but all clean.
the Millesime Bar was disappointing; the canapes were soggy and not fresh (i couldn't define what the paste was not was the lady who joined me - glad she agreed with me); the coffee machine was out of action; the hot water for tea was in a flask. the cheese board was good. the dessert was only chocolate profiterole, no other choice. Breakfast was good apart from the fact no fresh coffee.

We absolutely love this hotel each time we stay we are treated great. Had an evening meal this time wonderful food and service. Comphy beds and all the staff very polite and helpful. Recommended highly. Plus they looked after our car very securely.

Good lunch of fish and chips accompanied with excellent Pinot Grigio. Clean comfortable room. TV remote not working, phoned housekeeping, who promptly sent a replacement. That didn't operate the TV, so made another call and maintenance arrived shortly to fix the problem. Full mark's for dealing with the matter so efficiently. Would have liked a biscuit with the provided tea!

I chose this Sofitel Hotel for its easy access to Gatwick North Terminal when collecting someone who would be landing early the following morning. I needed car parking too & It was very comfortable with efficient helpful staff on hand for all enquiries.
I had breakfast the following morning which was excellent & good value.
Just 5 minutes later I was in the arrivals hall to greet my friend.

The place to stay if you have an early morning flight out of North Terminal. For many airlines you can check in night before - and this hotel is connected with a covered walkway direct into the terminal (landside). The hotel (rooms and public areas) is very nice, a touch posh even. Only downside is some rooms face into the internal courtyard - and it can be quite pricey. But it is highly recommended.

Well below the mark of the Sofitel standard. Bad sound proofing. Can hear very quiet guests. Not enough restaurant tables. Breakfast is a disappointment. Long queues and then they run out of bacon. No bother.. in a minute. JOKE!
