Finished my therapy at the cardiac rehab facility. It was very thorough and the staff was outstanding. Also learned from the exercises and classes what I needed to do to maintain my well being. I really think you need to expand the facility so its not so crowded.

This hospital is the WORST !!!!!!

This hospital is the WORST !!!!!!
My grandpa was very sick & had a fever going through the roof ... We were notified a few weeks back that a doctors office he had visited in another city had found something wrong with his blood , when we tried explaining to the ER nurses & were trying to get his paperwork faxed, some rude blonde nurse in maroon started being extremely rude & started saying " they're just using our fax machine for their own benefit ! This is pathetic . " She constantly interrupting us while we were trying to explain & the nurses up front kept making stupid faces as if they were annoyed . I've never been to a hospital so unprofessional ! My grandpas doctor was very disrespectful to grandmother when she told him she thinks he has a UTI, the doctors response was " uhh well yeah obviously " full of sarcasm .. My mom , aunt & I would translate due to my grandparents not speaking much English & the doctor was constantly rolling his eyes & being impatient .. then when he left the room , he went to the front desk talking about us very ugly to the other nurses .. I seriously wouldn't even give this hospital a a single star if I could ! AVOID AT ALL COST !!!!!

I had a specialized CT Scan on 08/29/19 and I was treated exceptionally well. Tracy was polite and caring and he was very informative on how the test was to be done and what I could expect. Jess was excellent at getting the IV started as I was very dehydrated and he got it on the first try! Both guys were professional but friendly and courteous and put me at ease! Great job guys!!

I'am still in the hospital, as of this very second. I came in to ER last Friday the 15th of March. 5 days later I found out I was miss diagnosed with pneumonia. So after 5 days of taking the wrong antibiotics. I'm no better ,now 6 days later, than I was when I came in. They've given me 5 different antibiotics in 6 days !!! Which isn't going to work anyway. I just got a new doctor, hopefully he can help me get well and out of here. And I don't end up having to put a mailbox up outside my door. The nursing staff is extremely nice and well mannered. Except the one I got assigned with this morning. She acts like ,she's just here for a paycheck. Anyways, I hope this is read. And I'm not still laying in this bed in rm.310 when it is.

My sister went for help and they allowed her to lay on the floor in pain and vomiting, because "they were full" according to whoever answered the er phone number. Poor service. There should be some form of protocol to assist even when full. My mother was a nurse she worked er and helped people in the lobby when there were no available beds for them. This is very neglectful of them. Illness, virus, and disease can easily spread. No one should be treated like this. Rich, poor, insured or not; that is what wrong with this country. No one gives a damn until it is them or someone they love.

Horrible Care... Horrible Hospital.... Charged me $12,000 for a CT scan ... SS County hospital charged $1,100 for a CT scan... LGMC price gouges... then when you try to work with them on your bill, they send it to collections without returning phone calls!! Nobody in billing ever answers the phone! Does not deserve a one star!!!

If there was an option for zero stars, I would have opted for that. This hospital not only has the the worst patient care I ve ever seen, and not by the nurses, they were literally the only thing positive about this dreadful place. When you have them coming up to you after watching your father who has prostate cancer cry and scream from the amount of pain he s in and the nurses take you aside and say this isn t right, you need to move him to another hospital ASAP! There is an issue, not only that after complaining several times and being promised a call back on more than one occasion, NOTHING! This place seriously needs to be looked at immediately, before they make someone else s parent or child for that matter go through what my dad did.

On November 12, 2019 I had the pleasure of spending some time in the OR with my Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Cory Mark and his team while they performed a little bit of reconstruction on my left shoulder. I have had the same basic surgery about 12 years earlier at another facility so I had a good understanding of what was going to take place and was familiar with the post-op scenario. I had always been told that shoulder surgery was one of the most painful surgery's on the list and I would have to agree. I had put this procedure off as long as I could and it just came time to bite the bullet. Surgery was scheduled, the day arrived, and I was ready to get this over with. All went well in pre-op and everyone involved stopped by to go over all of the details and to address any questions or issues that I might have. The last thing that I remember was being wheeled into the operating room and being told that the first bit of anesthesia was on its way. In what had to be no more than 5 minutes i was awake and getting ready to head to the house. The first thing I remember doing when I got home, even before I felt any acute pain, was taking a couple of pain pills to get ahead of the coming unavoidable pain that I had experienced the first time around. The problem I had was the intense level of pain that I was expecting just never showed up. Now don't get me wrong here. There was pain when I did something that I shouldn't have done. There was pain when getting dressed and undressed but that was because of the motions that I went through when dressing. As long as I followed the post op orders and kept my arm in the sling and the cool pack strapped to my shoulder, I was never really uncomfortable. This second shoulder operation was in noway comparable to the first. There is no doubt that newer technology and medicine had something to do with the difference but I truly attribute the success I was having to the abilities of Dr. Cory Mark. Through all of my contact with the doctor I experienced a high level of compassion/caring and an abundance of concern for my issues. He has a positive attitude along with a great personality. I hope I never have to go through another surgery, but if Dr. Mark is involved I know that I will be in good hands.

In 25 years of being in the Healthcare industry I have never witnessed anything even close to how bad this hospital was. I could write a 10,000 word essay on all the issues we experienced. Please spare your loved ones and take them to another hospital. One with educated, compassionate, and prompt care. We are reporting to the State in hopes that nobody ever has to experience all that we did.

The service was great, we were seen very quickly. We were on vacation and my husband had a kidney stone so we went to the ER after confirming this was an in-network facility. We just got the EOB today and they charged $13, 546.19 for a CAT scan and Cigna allowed $11,514.26. I just had a kidney stone in November and our Georgia hospital charged $4678 for a CAT scan and Cigna allowed $1964.90. How can they get away with charging $9000 more for a CAT scan.

I had to visit the ER in July 2017, this was a first for me! Overall the staff and Physician was very friendly and very attentive. I received my ER bill, that was a bit of a shock.I went in to the accounts department and dealt with Melissa Brewer! She was very helpful and very friendly. I would recommend her highly for any financial counseling regarding Lake Granbury Medical Center. The only suggestion I would make is to maybe revise your pricing as it is pretty high!

I was assaulted by a man last night and went in this morning to be checked out because I'm in A LOT of pain. Horrible decision! I got in a room the doctor came in and spoke to me extremely rudely, wouldn't let me explain to him what happened or where I'm hurting, and just told me I would get xrays and walked out. After getting the xrays I sat in my room for over an hour and a half before I unhooked myself from the machines to walk out and ask what was going on. I was then told that I was up for discharge just waiting to get the doctors signature for a prescription. The nurse came to discharge me and I asked to have something for pain because I didn't have transportation to get a prescription filled and 20 minutes later he came back with tylenol. I can't wait to see how many thousands of dollars I will owe for that extremely horrible experience.

I'm going to this hospital several times for several different ailments. Once a had a sinus surgery and a couple days later I had bleeding complications. The er doctor shoved a hard cotton thing up my nose that was so painful. I called my doctor and he told me don't ever go to that hospital. They messed up my septum. Another time I went for intense head pain. I do have chronic migraines, but this was not one. It was so bad I was vomiting, couldn't walk, weak, ect. They have me a shot of something and told me it was a migraine without looking any further.
Then they tried sending me home within a few hour and I was still just as bad. So they gave me another shot of something and that was it. The er doctor refused to do a cat scan till my husband demanded one. In the next couple weeks my doctor ordered an mri and I have Arnold Chari Malformation. I have them one more shot because I was so bad I didn't think I could make it to fort worth. I didn't get any help. My husband ended up taking me to harris southwest. They kept me over night to try and figure out what was going on. Turns out I have an autoimmune disease and i was in a flare up and my body was attacking itself. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. I have great insurance so that wasn't the problem for my mistreatment.

The nurses, doctors and even housekeeping were wonderful!! Unfortunately, I have been in many DFW hospitals and this was by far the best. My sincere thanks to the staff and management.

I want to share what a great experience I had at Lake Granbury Medical Center. I came in early Sunday morning with signs of stroke, I was in triage within 3 minutes of arrival. Of course Sunday morning there is not going to be a Neurosurgeon on staff so I was connected immediately via the internet and some sophisticated robotic technology to a Neurologist who with the aid of Awesome RN nursing staff had a thorough exam which included Cat scan and EKG I was so impressed with the staff and the procedures of the Hospital in general, there use of the latest technology and the exceptional care I received over the next 2 Days. Every detail of what was being done was explained to me and I was spoken to by professionals in such a way that I understood everything and could feel how much they cared for my general well being. I have been to Hospitals many times in my life and have spent months in care but never have I had such a great experience....Thank you to all the staff at Lake Granbury Medical Center 5 stars from me!!!!!

I came into the ER overnight, I was pregnant and had been experience heavy bleeding and severe abdominal pain. The first doctor came in after doing blood work and just blurted out your not pregnant anymore . Zero bedside manner or sensitivity to a very heart breaking situation. He said my hcg levels were under 1 and that means I m not pregnant anymore unless it s ectopic and they d send me for an ultrasound to see. The ultrasound tech was incredibly sweet, she is the only reason this is 2 stars instead of 1. She brought me back to my room and about an hour and a half later a new doctor came in (was in from 2am to about 9am and the doctors switched at 7) and he treated the situation the same. Absolutely no sensitive to the situation just blurted it out again. In the 7 hours I was in we had a nurse check on me one time, that s it. I had stepped into the hall and asked for a cup of water because I was nauseas and the nurse at the desk simply ignored me and I stopped a nurse walking in the hall and she acted like I was an incredible inconvenience. Overall this hospital was terrible. I would not wish anyone to have to find out this news from such an insensitive group of people (again, other than the ultrasound tech)

Don't Be Mistaken by 5 Star, Fake Reviews or Biase...

Don't Be Mistaken by 5 Star, Fake Reviews or Biased Reviews Coming from Hospital Staff. If you click on the profiles of the 5 star locations, you'll notice they've only written one review and have no account activity outside of that. While they could be real people, I guarantee they're biased, generic, copy and paste reviews to make the business look good at best. If that's changed as of this post, it's because I made this post.

Aside from that, wait times are not as advertised. Taking friends/family to this hospital, we've always been in the waiting room for several hours or had to turn away because of a serious condition and drive to another hospital 45 minutes away... Don't chop off your fingers, they probably won't be attached in time if you plan on going here.

Prices are actually 1000%, like one of the reviews below said. I checked, and this hospital makes headlines for falling in that category, infamously.

I noticed other reviews regarding rude staff. I haven't noticed this personally, but they are understaffed every time I've been.

I haven't been here for my own personal reasons, just when driving or being there for friends/family, and I've still received fake bills from this hospital claiming I owe thousands. I don't know if someone is running a separate scam pretending to be this hospital, but be wary. Don't pay anything sketchy.

I suffered a severe car accident in September 2017...

I suffered a severe car accident in September 2017 and was taken to Lake Granbury Medical Center immediately. Unfortunately, the accident was a hit and run. Even though we tried numerous times to come to a reasonable conclusion with my insurance carrier, they denied any coverage for medical expenses; therefore, I ended up with an enormous debt. After trying to resolve this bill in a number of different ways for about two years, I finally received a definite answer in February 2019. First, Mrs. Kim Claiborne very nicely helped me fill out a charity application. Then, she sent it to Mrs. Wendi Rosson, who was most definitely an angel sent from above that at all times made me her priority. Then I provided her with all the information needed to fully complete my application and patiently waited for a response. After all this time of desperation and having this tremendous weight on my shoulders, I was finally relieved. Mrs. Rosson gave me the green light I was so desperately waiting for. She assured me that in less than a month I would be debt free and I could not be any happier nor assimilate such breathtaking news. Mrs. Rosson brought back light and tranquility to my life and this is why I will forever be grateful and in debt to her for working her unbelievable magic in such a desperate situation. Sadly, not everyone knows that this hospital and their employees are not always there to bring sorrow and doubt, but they are there to help any situation a patient might encounter. Lamentably, I do not agree with all the negative reviews written by others because I personally have always had a great experience every time I have gone. Whether it is for medical or financial reasons, but they have always been extremely attentive and polite. I am tremendously thankful with Mrs. Kim, Mrs. Rosson, the CFO and Lake Granbury Medical Center for helping me overcome this debt.

I recently had a PFT (pulmonary function test) performed by Yvonne. She had tested me years earlier and I was hoping I would have her again, which happened. Yvonne is the brightest person in any room you are in. She is articulate, but doesn't overpower her patients with fancy talk. She is kind, attentive, observant for patient difficulties and is efficient in her work. She puts patients at ease and understands pulmonary issues that would baffle many practitioners. You are lucky to have her, LGMC!

My husband has been going to the heart rehab center since his last heart attack in 2008. He goes three days a week, and I truly believe the program has helped him to stay alive. The nursing staff is professional, but also friendly. They have become like part of the family!!!!!

Came to ER VERY SICK. I am new in Granbury and have not used the hospital until a week ago. I have lived in many states and lived in Arlington for 30 years. I have never been treated so well in an ER anyplace. From the doctor, Dr. Khan, Sam, all the nurses and x-ray people and Lori, the ER secretary. Everything was done so fast and with such care. I was shocked to see how efficient they were. I would definitely go there and trust their care.

I had orders from the Stephenville hospital to go to the ED to see an Orthopedic surgeon, they put me in the room where the extra beds, IV poles, etc are kept stayed there until my surgery- and they had empty beds available directly in the nice part of the ED. They are now charging me an ER charge (which is not supposed to do), anyway... I have been dealing with a person in billing, and so I get a settlement for less the ED charge, the person I have was dealing with- I called to make my first payment (this was last June) left a message since I am only having to deal with her and she has never called me back to get a payment (could have had it paid off by now, but no... Now I am getting a bill from there debt collector for the full 6200 (almost 6300) which includes the charge for the ED dept. I called the debt collection place and told them so they gave me her number and called and left a message with a young lady that told em that she would give her the message, still haven't heard from her and get another statement from debt collector. I am so over this and now I will be contacting the corporate office in TN, to see what can be done. WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS HOSPITAL - THEY ARE WORSE THAN STEPHENVILLE.......

During an episode of bronchitis I developed leg pain and my doctor advised me to go to the ER in case of a blood clot. Went on 2-10-2016 evening. Had a long wait to be seen and most people were nice except the woman who did my left lower extremity venous Doppler. Not sure of her name, but I think it may be Barbara. She was unfriendly, rude, rough, and actually mean. I told her she was hurting my leg and she roughly told me she knew it hurt but she had to push that hard and kept on hurting me. It hurt really bad!! VERY uncaring and mean. She should be relieved of her position.

My Mother was in ICU the week of 10/28 through 11/1/18. She received excellent care by all staff and a special thanks to Dr. Alisa Peterson who was the physician overseeing her care. The only issue we encountered was getting her to radiology in a timely manner for a CT guided procedure. The hospital was very busy and the CT department was backed up, so I don t think this could have been prevented. Possibly, the hospital could have more staff and/or equipment in this department ?? I would not hesitate one minute if the occasion arose to use this hospital again. A huge thanks to all the staff who were involved in her care.

I had what felt like another kidney stone coming on. When the symptoms continued I decided to get to the ER. The staff at the ER could not have been better or more attentive. Turns out that either I passed it or I had some other spasms. While there I received a CT scan and a shot (Muscle Relaxer). I went home feeling much better.

Then I got my bill. They attempted to bill my insurance $16,000. My insurance refused that price and paid them about $3,800. They sent me the co-pay portion of $1,600. Why was the initial bill $16,000 and the final bill $5,400? We wonder why we have such issues with insurance in this country. The real problem is no pricing regulation to stop medical providers from gouging the public.

I see a few responses from the Hospital to positive reviews, but it looks like the preponderance of reviews are negative and the majority are over your billing practices. How about a response that explains this issue, or that you are making changes to better align costs to be more reasonable and affordable?

Over the past several years I have been treated at multiple hospitals and facilities in Texas & New Mexico. With different procedures and consultations constantly changing there is always interaction with one primary group: Billing. This seems to be where there can be a stark difference in how easy or difficult the process is. I feel that most health care facilities falter greatly in this area. However, every time that I have been treated at LGMC the access and care given by this department is always constant. Things are explained upfront and are always very clear. I never have to worry if I'm paying too much or not receiving a benefit I might be able to get. They just really seem to go out of their way to convey the proper information at the proper time and then also follow up and handle things going forward. This above and beyond behavior is truly appreciated from the standpoint of the patient. I try to book as many things as possible at LGMC due to this experience. Thank you very much and excellent job!

I can't tell you how wonderful the staff, nurses and doctors were to me during my surgery. They made me feel like I was their only patient and my life meant everything. I didn't expect that from such a small local hospital . They earned five stars from me!

My dad was taken by ambulance to Lake Granbury Medical with a heart attack. He was on the catheter table in around 60 minutes (less than 90 minutes for best case outcome). Charlie was his nurse while he was in ICU. This is a top notch medical center. I was really surprised at the level of care and a little nervous he wasn t near a big city hospital. He received superior care in a more timely manner at Lake Granbury Medical Center. The nursing staff was remarkable. They kept us informed every step of the way and had that TLC touch. They cleaned his room daily. Even the food was good - really hard to do without salt. I m so thankful to have a local facility that provides excellent care. A heartfelt thank you to all the medical staff.

My friend has just had a total knee replacement .....

My friend has just had a total knee replacement ..I just have one question ..when a doctor discusses his pain plan for that patient how can nurses decide to give said patient less the dose ordered by doctor causing patient unnecessary pain and anxiety ?? Is this normal ?? answer I found on Nursing.org >>>In short, no a nurse does not always have to follow a doctor's order. However, nurses cannot just randomly decide which order to follow and which not to follow. Unless there is a safety concern or an order that conflicts with personal or religious beliefs, failing to carry out orders can be grounds for discipline by the employer as well as the board of nursing, as it could be deemed "neglect."

DO NOT COME HERE. These people treated me like I was an addict and was there just for pain medication, failed to tell me they did not do MRIs proceeded to x-ray my arm after I told them I know something was torn in my shoulder. Male nurse was rough with me like he didn't even care I was in pain.

My father was taken to emergency for stomach issues. Due to their swift actions and compassion, they had him on a Careflite to Harris Heart Center to meet up with a surgeon that saved his life. He had a Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm which could burst at any moment. Thank your help in this dire situation.

Had an outpatient CT scan and all the people who I interacted with were friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra step to help me sort out my questions. The scheduler was helpful and personable. Person greeting me on arrival to hospital and checking me in was kind, caring and cheerful, as was the registration clerk.

Tracy in radiology was so kind as he fielded several phone calls with my questions pre and post scan. He has a calm, caring manner and seems most knowledgeable in what he does and in his department. My appointment ran on time. Thank you for making my experience more pleasant.

Staff could have been quicker with my baby's resul...

Staff could have been quicker with my baby's results but what really ruined this very late night hospital visit was the rude respomse from a male nurse named jesse, i had been there 3.5 hrs already, its past midnight, my baby is exhausted and i go out to ask about the results, his response, "i dont know what test you're talking about because I'm not your nurse, you need to ask your nurse." I pointed both ways and said i dont know where she is, he said "well you need to ask her". Im anxious because my baby is sick, we're both exhausted, someone who cares for others for a living needs to be more helpful and sympathetic to all patients in their workplace. That one thing made the experience awful.

How wrong I was! I have lived in this wonderful community for many years. I vowed a long time ago that I would not come back to this hospital due to many reasons from care to billing. I decided reluctantly after many years to give them another chance. This was the best decision I could have made. My concerns about billing led me to the Director of billing, who was my angel is disguise. She was patient with me and my stack of papers and endless questions. I left comforted with a better understanding of the process and charges. The care has been amazing and I openly admit that I was wrong and wish more people would give our amazing hospital a chance. There are truly people that care and I am blessed to have met one of them. Thank you.

I went into the hospital scared and alone on Monday. I came home last night confident, and like I can handle this. I am young, yet now have pulmonary HTN. Kinda scarey thing! But the folks over at Lake Granbury Medical Center were so awesome at listening to me, figuring out what was going on, not just saying well shes not coding.... next!.. I could tell each and every one of those folks truly cared about my well being at every moment of every day. Wow! Such an impressive staff, that was without a doubt, THE BEST HOSPITAL STAY EVER for me.... and let me jus say, I am a cancer survivor. You usually do not hear that from a cancer survivor. Those folks truly care, and do everything they can to make you well... completely. I feel like i have a new family.... thank you all so much! And may God bless you all!!

Overall the care was okay. I don t live in Granbur...

Overall the care was okay. I don t live in Granbury, however I had my surgery there since that is where my surgeon works. My surgeon(Dr J Scott Smith) was wonderful as usual. There were some amazing nurses, in surgical recovery as well as the 3rd floor where I stayed for almost a week after surgery.

The reason for the 3 stars is because there was one truly awful nurse tech that made no attempt to hide her disdain for me when I called to get help using the bathroom. I wasn t at a point where I could get up on my own yet. I pushed the call button and asked for help to use the bathroom. Her response was one of being inconvenienced. It took three tries and 32 minutes before she came. It s an indignity to suffer already when you can t take yourself to the bathroom and wipe yourself, but she made it worse by openly being rude to me when she finally came. When I asked for help wiping myself, she rolled her eyes and let out a loud sigh. I told her you know what, never mind Then she wouldn t help me get back in the bed. She just stood there and watched me struggle. I later told my nurse about it and she assured me this would be reported to the charge nurse. I hope she was disciplined for this and I truly hope she never becomes a nurse because I would feel sorry for her patients.

The amazing ones were: Hannah, Sharyl, Gerri, Sophia, Ashley, Stephanie and Amber. These were true angels who showered unparalleled kindness to me.

Went in with broken ankle, got seen quickly probably there less than an hour. They did one set of X-rays, gave me a pain killer, wrote a script for advil and tylenol codiene, put my leg in a splint.. about 2 weeks later got a bill for $4,500! Wow. Then they wanted me to come back for surgery, haha no thanks. Went to office at Texas Foot & Ankle Orthopaedics saw Dr. Crawford was there about 3 hours getting X-rays, splints, and it was only $400 (without insurance). Whatever you do, do not go to Lake Granbury Medical Center unless youd like to spend a lot of money for nothing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful care that you took of my mother, Lanelle Crum, this past Monday. We will forever be in your debt for your very capable hands and the care that was given to her by the ICU staff. I know one of her nurses, that took very good care of her, was named Trip. Everyone on the ICU floor was so good and gracious with my mother and allowing her to be set up so that she could watch my father's funeral and not have to miss out. It was Divine Providence that my brother's drove her to you when they were experiencing this emergency. Thank you so so much. Kelley Crum Glasscock
