Overall the care was okay. I don t live in Granbur...

Overall the care was okay. I don t live in Granbury, however I had my surgery there since that is where my surgeon works. My surgeon(Dr J Scott Smith) was wonderful as usual. There were some amazing nurses, in surgical recovery as well as the 3rd floor where I stayed for almost a week after surgery.

The reason for the 3 stars is because there was one truly awful nurse tech that made no attempt to hide her disdain for me when I called to get help using the bathroom. I wasn t at a point where I could get up on my own yet. I pushed the call button and asked for help to use the bathroom. Her response was one of being inconvenienced. It took three tries and 32 minutes before she came. It s an indignity to suffer already when you can t take yourself to the bathroom and wipe yourself, but she made it worse by openly being rude to me when she finally came. When I asked for help wiping myself, she rolled her eyes and let out a loud sigh. I told her you know what, never mind Then she wouldn t help me get back in the bed. She just stood there and watched me struggle. I later told my nurse about it and she assured me this would be reported to the charge nurse. I hope she was disciplined for this and I truly hope she never becomes a nurse because I would feel sorry for her patients.

The amazing ones were: Hannah, Sharyl, Gerri, Sophia, Ashley, Stephanie and Amber. These were true angels who showered unparalleled kindness to me.
