Lake Granbury Medical Center Review

I had my c-section at the hospital and can't say enough great things about the hospital and staff. From the moment I arrived until I was discharged I was treated wonderfully by each and every person I encountered. My surgery went smoothly and so did my stay. I have to really thank the nursing staff who went above and beyond and were such great support and help.

First class treatment and Personnel in the Cardiac Rehab Unit. Could not be better! 12 weeks of rehab that really got me back on track.

Tracy in Radiology took very good care of me during my CT scan. He was very kind and helpful. He made me feel really comfortable. He was with me from the time I got there until he walked me out to the front door. Thank you kind sir.

Delayed triage on arrival to the ER. Excellent nursing care from the staff on the third floor!

My husband brought me here on December 14th for a migraine. I couldn't stop vomiting and was in terrible pain. They did get me back pretty quick but they decided to do a cat scan and I was left in the hallway on a cot next to an outside door freezing and shivering under a bright light. Several employees walking up to me asking who I was and what I was waiting for. Finally got the cat scan then given pain meds. Was not a good experience and now I get a bill of 12 grand. My insurance paid zero! They adjusted it down to $4,044.05 and I have a separate bill for cat scan and separate $1000 bill for ER doctor! How in the world do they get away with this?! I highly suggest you DO NOT go here unless you have thousands to throw away! - I have requested an itemized bill several times and still have not received anything! Every time I call they assure me it's in the mail.

Had an MRI. Staff got me signed in quickly. Yoli did an excellent job explaining the MRI procedure and it went by quickly and comfortably. Great job.....

My husband & I both had an excellent experience with LGMC when he suffered a heart attack in early January. He arrived there around 1:30 AM, was in the Cath Lab having a stent placed, and in his ICU bed by 4 AM. There are a lot of great staff members we would give 10 stars if it were possible. Dr. Frerking, Matthew Stokes, Dr. Gilchrist, Sylvia Hollingshead, Kara Hughes, Peggy Bryant, Bob (ICU nurse), Cardiac Rehab s Lisa Winter, Kimberly Bills & Susan, Dr. Frerking s staff, the ED. Thank you all for saving his life, for the explanations, letting me stay with him & the great coffee!

The doctor did not take me seriously. I had just suffered a miscarriage and wanted to allow the process to happen naturally. However, as it sometimes happens, not everything cleaned itself out so an infection was growing inside me. I got an IV (for no reason) and after 4 hours of laying around was let go with no explanation of anything. Horrible horrible horrible care from the doctor. I am now stuck over 3 thousand dollars worth of bills from 3 different locations. AVOID this medical practice!

The most uncourteous and unprofessional staff I have ever seen. One nurse I am reporting due to het horrible way that she treated my mother...I wouldn't send my dog there!!!! This hospital needs to be abolished and start over again!!!

The worst hospital I've ever been to. They ask my son personal questions about his home life. This is only to get C.P.S. involved. They ignore me the parent. They couldn't find out what was blocking my airways even after taking several X Rays. I went home and suffered the same problem two more times but went to an out of town hospital which was 100% better than LGMC. They overcharge you. The original bill is definitely not what you are harassed about later. They also will sue you and the attorneys will not accept your payment plan. I always hear out here in Granbury, "Don't go to Lake Granbury Medical Center!" Believe me you don't want to. My daughter and son-in-law took my granddaughter to get a tag removed from her rear-end a few years ago. My granddaughter was five. She was told to lay on her back on the table. She was nervous when the doctor was looking at her bottom so he told my son-in-law to lay on top of her...whatever that was about. My daughter came home telling me how rude the doctor was and how he told my son-in-law to lay on top of her. They snatched my granddaughter up and left mad. Really the whole truth I think is that they are going out of business. Good riddance!! Really it doesn't deserve 1 star. I'll never go there again even if I was dying if I can help it!

Phlebotomist Dusty is a great technician explaining so that I was able to understand. Great asset for the Medical Center.

Had a small wood ant crawl in my ear while sleeping. Had to go to the E.R. because I couldn't get it out. long story short it took 5 min to see me, couple drops of mineral oil in my ear to drown the bug, 5 ml of water to wash it out. 20 minutes and I was out of there. Bill 1476.00 from hospital. 752.00 from the Dr. 2 separate bills.

Had my back fixed by DR. JEFFREY SMITH AND HE IS EXCELLENT!!! I am recovering nicely and he is the most capable and caring surgeon I have had the PLEASURE of dealing with.

I went to the ER because I was experiencing a fast heartbeat, mild chest pressure and had dizziness 2 days prior. I was promptly
Tended to, all nurses, staff and doctors were excellent, helpful and informative. The ER was crowded, although all my tests were negative, it was recommended I stay overnight. Cardiologist requested 2 further tests be done the following day. Then I was released.
Awesome patient care, I was impressed wth everything and everyone.Bless all of you.
Only, complaint, IT SURE IS IGLOO COLD IN THOSE ER ROOMS!!brrr! Because there were no rooms available, I needed to stay overnight in tht freezing cold room. I,m just saying. Would be great if the ceiling vent/fan could at least be redirected not to blow on a sick patient. Otherwise, top notch care, and THATS what is most important.

I gave this one star because that's the lowest it will go. Horrible receptionist!!!! Say for 3 and a half hours and never even saw a nurse while my child was continuously bleeding in the e.r. Waiting room...when we said we were leaving staff was really rude and didn't seem to care.

I had to have surgery and couldn t have any visitors due to Covid restrictions. The nursing staff was amazing with bedside manner and making me feel like I wasn t alone. Thank you to all the staff that took care of me.

Pregnancy ward is about the only good thing about this place. Other than that, What a joke. Only go if you have no other option. ER "doctors" are rude and act like it's putting them out because they have to do their job. My son had a bad asthma attack and cost was over 2k for breathing treatment and steroid pill. Go to fort worth or Glen Rose.

Went in yesterday for cellulitis in my right calf. Care was provided very quickly as I got into a room for treatment within 10 minutes. Great service.

LGMC and specifically Ms. Wendy Rosen worked diligently with me to settle a financial situation concerning a huge bill at the hospital, from services dating back to 2014. Long story but the bill had been turned over to lawyers and the courts and Ms. Rosen worked as a liason between us and lawyers to keep matter out of the court and reach a settlement that was agreed on and worked well for us. I am very thankful for her, and LGMC, for listening to our side of the story and for her hard work to help us settle this matter.

I m from Oklahoma working in Granbury Tx. I had no family or friends near when I went to the er. The staff were professional and thorough while making sure I felt at home and among friends. The icu staff were great exceeding all expectations. This was a frightening event for me but I was kept informed and all questions were answered. I ve considered returning for my follow up but it is just too far to drive. I would highly recommend this group for anyone needing care.

The one writing this is the husband of Linda Scott. This is not a criticism of LGMC as a whole. We use doctors associated with LGMC and have found that most are good. My main complaint is with some who work in the ER,particularly with the initial screeners,the information received by the doctor in the exam room is only as good as the screener enters into the computer.On a Saturday night I took my wife to the ER over her objections,she has Stage 4 COPD, CHF,and cervical stenosis as major complaints, and is on pain meds. She had gained five pounds that day.
I was relieved to see that the female screener who had been there in the past was not there as she was rude and incompetent. The screener this time was a young man with a smirk on his face and an immediate arrogant and condescending attitude. He should have known after talking to my wife the first few minutes that she was in no condition to answer his questions in any concise way.She said that her neck hurt,she can never remember cervical stenosis or CHF,not wanting to embarrass my wife by mentioning her memory problems, I interjected to tell him her medical conditions,where upon he rudely said"I can't talk to you both".
I was already steaming because he had called my wife "sweetie",you can call a six year old girl "sweetie",but I find it very condescending and unprofessional for a man in his twenties to use that term for an elderly lady.I wanted to jump down his throat,but my wife was already unhappy with me for making her go,and since she knows I have a tendency to over react in this type of situation,I did not want to upset her further.After she was in the exam room,I went to the front desk and inquired who was over the ER employees,the young lady gave me a blank stare and replied she didn't know,but I could talk to the charge nurse,which I did,who was quite busy at the time,and a nice person,so I kept it short. This is not the only time I have had problems with medical staff due to their attitude,it seems to me that some of them think that if you are older and on Medicare,that they are doing you some kind of favor,if enough people complain,their attitudes might change. In the event someone in management reads this post,you have our phone number on file.

Lauren Owens is an exceptional therapist . She was thorough, knowledgeable, and persistent
as my therapist. Her dedication was a great benefit to me.

My elderly father has been a patient on two very recent occasions. Both times he was admitted for a few days of treatment. Dr. Peterson was absolutely amazing. She was warm and patient with my father who suffers late stage Alzheimer s Disease and never seemed dismissive of me or my concerns. We are fortunate to have her serving our community! The hospital employs only medical professionals for nursing, diagnostics and patient support positions and they provide excellent patient care as well as comfort care and kindness to anxious family members. I am forever grateful.

Went to the ER for pain in my lower back and side thinking it was a kidney stone. Wait over 5 hours to go back. While in the waiting room an older man waked through the front doors and said he was having a heart attack the administrators let him STAND at the counter as they proceeded to ask him questions about his insurance date of birth name address etc. AS THE GUY WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF HAVING A HEART ATTACK!!! There was no urgencie at all! The nurse practitioner that checked me out was decent and I have no complaints about him or the services he provided. They got me in and out in a decent amount of time after I went back, but do not believe their 30 mins or less wait time guarantee! My biggest complaint about this hospital was my bill!!! What a rip off!!! $18,000 for some pain medicine a bag of fluid via IV and a cat scan. When I received my detailed bill I realized they had CHARGED ME OVER $12,000 JUST FOR ONE CAT SCAN WITH NO CONTRAST!!! Needless to say, I won't be going back there for anymore emergencies!!!

Very impressed with this facility, the staff was wonderful, caring, and on top of their game, Thank you so very much, it was my most positive hospital experience ever..

Dr. Mark and staff were great to me. He answered all my questions, my orders were placed timely and my tests were done quickly at the hospital. All in all a great visit.

I had the best experience at Lake Granbury Medical Center! Dr. Belott and the rest of the hospital staff were very attentive, and educational. All my questions were answered immediately and they went above and beyond to keep me as comfortable as possible!
I would definitely recommend!!!

Terrible. The staff gossips about the patients and laughs when they ask 'stupid' questions all while the patient is sitting in a room behind them with nothing but a door and a thin wall separating the conversation so unprofessional.

Son in hospital with severe cramps an hour still waiting for fluids and nothing in severe pain the staff is worried about eating saw lunch come in and leaving patients to suffer

ER is a complete joke. Sending my home when I cannot even eat because my lapband is to tight I can't even take my medications nor can I get liquids down. They say I have to wait to see my Dr on Monday. so I'm supposed to go without meds and food for 4 more days on top of the 3 I already have.

Drs was rude as hell and the PA was no help either keeps saying I am just nauseous......Dr Hall is a prick I literally told him to get the help out of my room. And he proceeded to go on and on and tell me about all the things not wrong with me instead of really address what is wrong with me.

I ve never been treated so kindly & professionally as with my recent abdominal surgery. From the volunteer taking admissions at 0600 to every single nurse in pre/post op & for me in 311. Usually, I find out profession has forgone caring to keep up with overloading staff. These guys worked together, treated each other & me with respect & genuine kindness. You have no idea how you impacted me this stay. My sincerest thanks to everyone for all they did to set me up for a successful recovery! God Bless you all

I had a colonostopy on Jan 30 2017 and cannot thank the staff in out patient care enough for their excellent care. Check in was also fast and efficient

Went to the Imaging Center. Great experience. Far better than the Fort Worth image centers. Tracy went out of his way to accommodate an unscheduled appointment.

Have went multiple times and each time they have over charged me. I have multiple collections open from them and they keep making on my credit even though I have set up a way to pay them. As long as they keep marking my credit i won't pay them anything. Can't get a car can't get a house can't do small payment plans for anything. The care isn't even worth it either they are very rude.

I had some chest pain on a Saturday and was concerned so I immediately went to Lake Granbury Medical Center. I was checked in immediately at the ER sifn in desk and promptly taken to a room for a potential heart attack. from there I was quickly transferred to a room where rapid cardiac care began. From Saturday through the following Monday when I underwent surgery, the care medical care and compassionate care was ongoing throughout each day and night. The ER team, Third floor team, Surgical teams were all amazing. I highly recommend this medical provider. Wonderful people

Cardiac Rehab is phenominal ! Lisa, Kimberly, and Susan are very efficient, knowledgeable, and have great communication with the participants. I have definitely experienced great results from this program. My spouse was also eligible to attend with me, and she has also greatly benefited from the program. If we could, we would give this program six or more stars !!!

From the moment you walk into this hospital you are greeted with a smile. The volunteers that work at the check-in desk are always happy and friendly. I had to have a procedure done today in Radiology and I was met by very professional and caring Techs, Cara and Abby! They were very considerate of me and made sure that I was as comfortable as possible. Dr. Fields performed the procedure and again, very caring and informative! Thank you again for your professionalism and care that you provide!

I'm a first time mom and when I went into labor, things moved faster than anyone of us had anticipated. I went from 3 to 8 cm in a matter of a couple hours. Due to the quick response from the nurses, I was able to get my epidural! They helped me through everything so well! I highly recommend this hospital to give birth in because the OB Nurses rock! My husband and I were so impressed with their kindness, patience, and quick service to us.

Most of the nurses are ok but there are a couple here that really hit a nerve pretty badly. Just had our son Friday morning and they finally moved us into a room that was a decent size but one nurse kept complaining that it's too hot in the room for our son. We changed the thermostat several times but she still keeps griping. There are several things that they told us about the infection our son had gotten that doesn't make sense. Not a good place to go for anything really. Staying a lot longer than what was supposed to happen because of the infection he had gotten. Had to keep doing tests on him and the one nurse kept telling my wife she wasn't breast feeding him properly although she learned really quickly th first day and a half we were here. A lot of things aren't as they should be here. Stay away from this place if you can.

The Nursing Staff was outstanding! ER to Hospital Room, they were so kind and helpful, very knowlegeable and explained everything to us. All of the personnel were very kind, housekeeping ,cafeteria and Doctors. We could not thank them enough for the excellent care. Thank you all.
