Beautiful hotel... had our wedding guest stay there and there were egregious over charges made to our guests credit cards and the hotel has yet to furnish them receipts of food/drink charges billed to their rooms.
My father was charged $1500 for a two night stay- that should have cost $600. Hotel ethics and accountability are non existent.
Nice resort. Friendly staff. Room layout is a little confusing (trying to find your room if you're not in the main building). Store on site is limited in items.
Great on location restaurant. Just a short walk to other varied restaurants and the public piers down the hill

The hotel property is beautiful. Woman at the front desk was very professional and friendly. She gave me a beautiful upgraded room with a great view of the harbor. Had drinks at the bar and it was a great embiance. Had meetings here and wasn't thrilled about the meeting space. We were a small group of about 15 people and they put us next to a very large group. The other group was so loud we had to ask to be moved because the noise carried so much from the other group.
Great family resort within walking distance to the beach. Laid back and very accommodating to young children.

Stayed here for a jaunt up the coast during Easter weekend. Rooms clean and up to date. People here are knowledgeable and nice, typical Marriott. Valet is quick and easy here. Plenty to do around this resort.
What a lovely resort. Extremely helpful check in w Nick. Complementary breakfasts were very good. Easy and pleasant checkout w Daniel. Great shower! Very clean property and super quick valet service. Oh, and a fabulous view!
Didn't had our room before 5pm.. Find a chicken wings under the bed, they charge us for 2 Valet parking and many more adventure... 430$ for a night and it was one of the worst experience ever
The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the service by the pool was terrible. Every other part of my stay the resort and staff far exceeded my expectations. The pool service on the other hand couldn't have been worse. I was looking forward to a relaxing day at the pool. Having drinks and lunch and just hanging out at the pool. I had to call from the poolside phone twice to even get someone to come take our order. After more than a half hour I left the pool and walked to a nearby restaurant. Very disappointing.
Hard to ask for more in a hotel/resort. I stay in hotels about 120 nights/year and this is the nicest hotel I ve stayed at in the past year. Great service, nice rooms, very friendly staff, excellent views of Dana Point. Valet only is the norm but that doesn t make it not annoying.

My stay was phenomenal, which is still an understatement for how much I enjoyed the watch frame view moments!
Great people, but worst hotel I've ever stayed in during my entire life. Had to move twice because of rickety furniture or doors and smelly plumbing. It smelled like a sewer in the bathrooms. The third room was acceptable and didn't stink but still had a beat up coffee table. Their consolation prize for moving? 2 $10 vouchers for breakfast. Woo hoo. One employee was honest and admitted the place had a problem and we hadn't seen the worst unit. All the other employees acted astonished at our discoveries.
A supposed renovation is forthcoming in November but they'd have to rip out tile and plumbing to fix these problems. I wont be back.

We came here for our 11th anniversary and we are absolutely Blown Away with how beautiful the grounds were and how friendly the people are. The young man at the front desk Maclean was super helpful and even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne and an amazing piece of cheesecake to help us celebrate our anniversary with! The pool area is really cool and caters to children really well. They also have a really nice outdoor and an indoor bar area for the adults. This is just the first night and we are having a blast. Well done to all of the staff and we will be coming back lots more in the future.

This place was priced just right. It was half the cost of staying in Laguna Beach. You can't beat that and the ocean view was spectacular.
The resort had a very pretty setting, the staff was super helpful. I thought the rooms would be a little more updated but the were still very nice. Had a great view of the ocean. It was closed to a lot of fun things to go do, or you did not even have to leave the resort. Very nice and relaxing!
Beautiful place been all over Newport in Laguna Dana Point is a new experience and it simply beautiful I would recommend the Laguna cliffs Marriott for peacefulness and tranquility And jet skiing and parasailing super fun

We recently spent two days at this Dana Point property. An extraordinary stay! The views, the room, the bed, the food, both pools, the park area just below the property, the easy walk to the marina and restaurants were all surpassed by the service!! Tiffany Coslett from the front office helped us through a Groupon nightmare and together with the front desk, bellman, valets, breakfast chef, and Simona who served us brunch were the very best team of hospitality professionals we've experienced in a long time. We live in Las Vegas, we travel extensively, and we work in hospitality. My companion's one word description of our stay at Laguna Cliffs Marriot--'Blissful'. We only wish we could have gotten a room there for all three days of our weekend.

Nice location with good amenities. They do charge a lot of service fees though. Example my listed $6 beer came out to $11 after tax, mandatory 20% gratuity and mandatory $3 'delivery' charge to bring me the beer to the pool area.... Just a little surprised it came out to almost double and the service fee didn't cover them brining the beer. No free wifi in your room either.

Stunning views and top-notch resort with excellent amenities. I stayed just two nights in Laguna Cliffs on business but wanted to take advantage of my downtime. Both days I used the Mountain Bikes provided by the facility to ride down to Dana Point beaches and rent a SeaDoo. The grounds are meticulously maintained and perks such as access to use the Tennis courts, Surf Boards, Bikes, etc. ensure you get to enjoy the facility and the outdoors. This will be my go to location next time I'm in the Dana Point area.
This place exceeded expectations on every level. Fantastic customer service. The grounds are beautiful, my massage with Sarah was amazing, and the rooms were clean spacious and comfortable. Great location for a weekend getaway. The only issue was the hotel drums/pool music was right outside our room and very annoying. If you don't like weird drums music, ask to see how close your room is to the pool. Great view though!
The location for the hotel is beautiful. Dana Point was great. The hotel itself is very nice and very clean! Got in quite late, ordered room service, and had a delicious meal delivered to me very quickly. Only stayed for one night but had a great experience.

Beautiful hotel. Helpful staff who are eager to please. Lovely rooms. The coastal view room was worth it. Fresh remodel, so modern and looks great. Only complaint would be the pillows. Would recommend requesting either a foam or cotton pillow. But besides that... wonderful.

We had some rooms here the night of our wedding. It's spacious and in a fantastic location overlooking the harbor. Definitely one of the best Marriott hotels I've ever seen.
