Very large, you won't see everything in one day. Their collection is vast and covers a lot of time periods and geographic places. Highly recommended.

Great art museum, the entry fee is only like $15 there is plunty to see, probably too much for one day. The tar pits are right next door and you can see them without an entry fee.
Huge campus, great variety! It seems on any day about half of the galleries are closed, so call if there's something specific you want to see.
Love coming to this museum. Only thing is even if you get there 5 minutes before 7 pm. They will charge the $16 parking, it doesn't matter if you are there 5 minutes or 2 hours. You are forced to park in the establishment because there is no parking outside. Also their employees aren't really familiar with the area, therefore forget asking them for directions. They look at you like they are the ones that are lost.
Great art, great location, friendly staff, wonderful experience
Excellent permanent collection and great exhibition of Rousseau.
Try nexgen if you have children free admission for child and 1parent
Totally fantastic collection and beautiful architecture
Had a fantastic day at several exhibits. First class museum.
Separate at least two days to know the exhibitions in detail, check the agenda to access the days of free entry and in the online portal you can sign up for free art classes. In the museum shop you will find very beautiful souvenirs from 1usd.
PS: if you are Spanish speaking practically everyone speaks Spanish in Los Angeles.
Interesting collection to ponder. A collection of innovative to questionable.
Probably one of the nicest museums in Los Angeles, presenting a lot of diverse art and new exhibitions.
Must visit for tourist.
This place it's a family museum, we could enjoy the all kibd of beautiful art .
Didn't get to see much because it was quite late. What we did see we enjoyed.
Largest and best art museum in LA, rain room was worth the wait!
LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). Largest art museum in the West inspires creativity and dialogue. Connect with cultures from ancient times to the present.
Lots of cool things to see. We were in full "tourist" mode so it was nice to see things we don't normally see. Lots of cool places for Instagram pics. Just be ready to snap some pics.
LACMA is a great art museum. With ever changing content spanning all formats of visual art no two visits are alike.
Nice but event was cancelled without advertisement.
An incredible cross section of classical to modern art, as a member I especially love the constantly rotating exhibitions, it allows me to take my family on a regular basis.
If your in town and want to do a Photoshoot in the property of LACMA they are super beautiful and amazing spots to shoot in. A definite place to visit and a place to be remembered.
Cool place to check out every now and then. Go see James Turrell's "Breathing Light" if you get the chance -- it's seriously life altering!
With (currently) three buildings there was a wide range of art to see with not too overwhelming an amount of people.
Beautiful place, loved checking out the Picasso section. Great place to take pictures. Jazz band live when i visited.
Great family fun! Very impressive museum and collection!
Every day I see this building it just makes my day better!
Urban Lights to Music to The Shows.... This is L.A.!
Really pretty at night - albeit slightly crowded and a little hard to angle. If you go later after 12 AM or so I'd assume it's be less crowded and very easily an instagrammable spot!
They have free memberships and activities for children
Great pieces of art. It has a few paintings of Picasso and Rembrandt too.
Fantastic collection of paintings from the medieval era till XX century.
Free on 2nd Tuesday s of the month from 11am-5pm. Lots to explore if you appreciate art and sculptures. There s free parking on the streets nearby, just be sure to read the signs. It s all fun and games until you get ticketed or towed. Happy trails!
No good, nothing to watch, a bunch of weird, I do not know that the so-called items are works of art! Haha, the aesthetics of foreigners are worrying! However, the surrounding environment is good!
LACMA is a favorite for our family. Lots of great art and the kids love the Metropolis exhibit.
I love LACMA it's so close to home and inexpensive for such beautiful art!
it's ok to visit just tried you will be happy? also people's love to take pictures and have a good feeling about themselves, for some reason?.
Very fun place to go to.. coffee and tea here is pricey but delicious. Worth it!
La Brea tar pits is very awesome place great museum hands on. Occasionally we had a great day there
Great spot! Love the exhibits plus the surrounding grounds.
Hard to argue with one of the premier art galleries in America. The location is fantastic as well, as the Museum shares grounds with the world-famous La Brea Tar Pits.
Honestly.... just so so? I guess I was expecting more? More art... more exhibits. In fairness to the Museum & S review.... several things were closed the day I visited. So I don't think I got the full effect
Great to bring a date or a friend. Y'all will enjoy a plethora amount of art. Great to see that LACMA is constantly getting better every year.
Very easy to find, great art and friendly staff. Thank LCMA for making my visit uncomlicated.
The layout is really confusing when so many galleries are under construction. There wasn't enough signage to help navigate around the closures. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get to a third floor around closures on floor one and ended up giving up on it.
Great museum. Lots of variety and exhibits. Make sure to stick around past sunset to see the streetlamp installation lit up.
I spent the entire day here! LACMA is amazing! It has an endless collection of everything under the sun from various periods / movements!!! I just have such a fond memory of it.
A beautiful museum that has several building in a campus like setting. They charge $16 to park in their parking garage.
They have an incredible art collection, especially modern with quite a few Picassos.
They also have a large Asian collection.
This was when they were transporting the rock to the museum. This was taken in Long Beach they had to map out a route from east of LA that would avoid overpasses due to the weight. So it made this wonderful circuitous route throughout the Southern California region. I knew it had stopped for the night on Atlantic Avenue so on my way to work I knew I couldn't resist seeing it. You'll notice that what looks like an bit of an iceberg above the R is the tip of the stone.
Although many modern art can't be understood, the collections of classical art such as sculpture and painting are invisible. A parent can bring a child for free to visit. It is also worthwhile for an adult to spend 20 knives. For those over 65 years old, 4 knives can be reduced. The American 3D art exhibition in the museum is worth a look.
Great photo opportunity in front with the street lights.
Lots of interested exhibits and artworks. There's something for everybody. The last time I went was to see Metropolis II which was a really neat art piece.
Large museum with many different types of art on view. Some spectacular outdoor installations.
LaLaLand brought me here. One of the beautiful places in LA.
This place is magical. The lights look very different when shot from different angles.
My favorite museum to visit in Los Angeles. I love the variety of exhibitions running concurrently. Beautiful and well maintained grounds. Of course, Chris Burden's Urban Lights permanent installation is a great reason to visit in the evenings. There is also an upscale bar and cafe located within the premises.
A lot of very unique pieces of art from all parts of history.
Honestly I just think it is tacky to have half of the museum closed and still charge full ticket price.
