This was when they were transporting the rock to the museum. This was taken in Long Beach they had to map out a route from east of LA that would avoid overpasses due to the weight. So it made this wonderful circuitous route throughout the Southern California region. I knew it had stopped for the night on Atlantic Avenue so on my way to work I knew I couldn't resist seeing it. You'll notice that what looks like an bit of an iceberg above the R is the tip of the stone.
