Whether you want to pose at the brilliant collection of lamp posts outside the museum, or visit the great collections, or even stroll under what must be the silliest conceptual art in the nation, or eat in the wonderful restaurant or just sip some good cocktail there.

Great Museum. We are members here and don't make it there often. But it's always a treat to visit. The special shows bring us out. The Guillermo Del Toro exhibit was breathtaking. What an experience. If you haven't been to LACMA, take a day to check it out.

The outdoors are iconic but the collection of wide ranging periods of art and sculpture is also impressive. If you're from out of town take advantage of the $5 after 5 deal. It closes at 8 and that's plenty of time to explore all the museum.

Great outdoor art installations. Love the urban lights and the levitated mass. Walked over to the la brea tar pits next door and then walked to the sculpture garden. If you're here make sure you go across the street to see the Wende Museum's Berlin Wall installation as well. The outdoor portion of LACMA can keep you busy for a while, free. One day I will make it inside, lol.

Lacma is the name of a number of fictional mobile space stations and galactic superweapons featured in the California museum opera franchise. The first Lacma is stated to be more than 100 km to 160 km in diameter, depending on source. It is crewed by an estimated 1.7 million military personnel and 400,000 droids. One blast of its superweapon delivers energy comparable to that released by the Sun in an entire week.

Went in October 2018. Had many high expectations for my first visit, but about half of the exhibits were closed. It was still a great value for the price, and my boyfriend and I had a great time. It is very easy to navigate and the staff is friendly!

Most food has its origin in plants. Some food is obtained directly from plants; but even animals that are used as food sources are raised by feeding them food derived from plants. Cereal grain is a staple food that provides more food energy worldwide than any other type of crop.[2] Corn (maize), wheat, and rice in all of their varieties account for 87% of all grain production worldwide.[3][4][5] Most of the grain that is produced worldwide is fed to livestock.

Some foods not from animal or plant sources include various edible fungi, especially mushrooms. Fungi and ambient bacteria are used in the preparation of fermented and pickled foods like leavened bread, alcoholic drinks, cheese, pickles, kombucha, and yogurt. Another example is blue-green algae such as Spirulina.[6] Inorganic substances such as salt, baking soda and cream of tartar are used to preserve or chemically alter an ingredient.

Very nice museum.

Very nice museum.
We (family with 4 energetic kids ages 5-13), enjoyed espacilly at the 3D exhibit.
I loved watching the old photos from the american civil war, Paris at 1850... in 3D.
After walking in the exhibits the kids enjoyed painting in the workshops.

California's and most amazing museum of art. Some of the most amazing artifacts and feelings and pieces of history that all fell into the category of art I have ever laid eyes on are exhibited here at the LACMA.
By far the Best Single Museum you can visit in Los Angeles. Go to this museum first before any others, you will not regret it. And you'll want to come back again and again to see anything might've missed, or didn't get to get a close enough look at. Stuff is amazing and extremely helpful and well-versed in many languages.
I love the Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art, or as we call it here, LACMA

Visiting L.A., I saw this great collection of 20th century masters of modern art. Spent 6 hours! Membership for locals recommended, didn't have time to visit the ancient and cultural art exhibit. Some very impressive monumental works, including Richard Serra's "Ribbon". Don't miss the current attractions: Bauhaus (not the dirge band, the art school and collective who met a tragic end in Germany, but inspired thousands, including Germans!), and Frank Stella, whose colored and textured sculptural paintings have been in storage for twenty years, but Top Men will have to return to their crates. Avail yourself! Laughter permitted.

I gave it only three stars because there was a lot of construction going on, some of the buildings were close. Look forward to come back when construction is finished and all art in display are available.

Inconsistent rules. I was told by the information desk that my friend could use his tripod for the outdoor exhibits, but the security guard asked my friend to stop using his tripod outdoors when he was taking a picture. He started packing it up, but the security guard approached him with two others because he wasn't moving fast enough.

More than 80% of the museum is closed, none of the iconic pieces of art are exhibited but the museum keeps charging $25...

This becomes really a scandal when you realize that almost 25% of the last remaining contemporary rooms are.. closed for installation !

Couldn t they adjust the price down ? And find a way to exhibit some of the most-well known pieces ? I understand that bills need to be paid at the end of the month but there is a better way to encourage philanthropy
