Must see for anyone who appreciates art and history

Very nice art museum. Well worth a visit. However, the entrance is quite expensive.

So easy for the tourist

At the register I was not told that almost the entire museum was closed for remodeling but I paid full rice and waisted my day of visiting L.A.

It's kind of like going at night to take pictures. It's pretty, but ... I feel like there's only half a million street lamps in the day.

Very nice for people to visit it or to take photos in the q pair.

Usually there for concerts. I just wish the restaurant wasnt always packed.

Great place to take the kids for a day of fun and learning

The museum itself is great, needs a day trip at least to walk the grounds and galleries. If going in the late afternoon/ early evening hours in the area, they have special film screenings on site as well as a cafe that is open for late afternoon tea hours with a nice menu spread. Gf options available.

I went when they were closed but it was a cool experience to see the light likes outside.

Great place to come and learn a thing or two about our history and the history of where we are stepping now. Great for kids, great for adults. Great for all of those involved.

I love the entire miracle mile. And museum row is the centerpiece of it. And LACMA is its heart. To me, it's the truest heart of LA. It's big, very big. Several visits are required and the free hours are great for county residents.

Lots of outdoor art ,you can spend the day just enjoying what's on display outdoors or purchase a pass to visit the museum, we just enjoy the outdoor exhibition it took us about 3 hours,plenty of palaces to eat and snacks.

This was the most unorganized museum when I was there. It had the most racist patrons and the two face staff was even with worse.

Lots of quality art, some sections closed during my visit. Check out jazz on Friday nights.

LACMA is where everyone takes a photo to say that they've made it to LA. Gotta take one! Parking is a gassle though. Gotta pay 15$ i believe

The pillar lamp outside the museum is a good place to check in and shoot

Museum lovers will find the annual membership well worth the price - students only need to pay $30 for unlimited visits. Have visited twice thus far and haven't yet seen everything. The Rain Room is somewhat underwhelming but still worth $10 if you're absolutely curious to try - make sure to wear light colours to be detected better and not to be rained on. Be sure to ascend the long escalator for a clear view of the Hollywood sign, and catch Gehry's exhibition. Also worth looking out for are the conversation series between Gehry and colleagues, if you are interested in architecture and beyond. Lastly, make sure to visit the interiors of the Japanese pavillion, with its building enclosure design inspired by Japanese paper screens.

This is a great place for those who love art. The lights are a really creative setup and they look great during the nights. People usually flock during the evenings to take photos and selfies.

Great spot for pictures too bad people ruin the lights by overcrowding...

I loved it, very beautiful, everything well planned and Wonderful architecture

We were driving back from a weekend in Las Vegas. I have seen photos of this place, and my daughter has been anxious to go.

I decided to take an hour detour and we had so much fun! You would think it would be overwhelming considering the amount of people trying to capture the perfect picture, but it was actually pleasant.

People seemed to follow an unspoken etiquette and we got so many fun shots!

Something for everyone here. Visit their website before coming in person, as there are tons of exhibitions and you will no doubt find some exhibitions more interesting than others, depending on your tastes/interests. On Fridays in the summer they have "jazz nights" where everyone brings a picnic and listens to live music together on the lawn. Parking can be tough, so best to come early or use Uber/carpooling/public transportation (if possible).

In fact, I do not know where to go and what to see.

Always amazing temporary exhibitions, and permanent collections

Many exhibits of various types of art, from modern to more traditional (Egyptian, European, Asian, etc). You can spend hours here! The La Brea Tar Pits are also next door.

Check the schedule in advance and you might catch live jazz presentations at the museum garden.

The area is very scenic. You'll feel very relaxed walking around the area

Since the remodel it's always a worthwhile destination.

I'd say it's among the top museums in LA. If you come for the street lamps outside you should stay for the art inside. It's an amazing collection and admission is only about 20 or 25 bucks. Membership is even a better deal if you go more than once.

Love it. It is free and we donated some money. So many things to learn. We spent a long time finding parking lot though.

Pretty beautiful And artful museum. However, the entry price is alittle pricey I think since for student, u have to pay $21 and any adult is $25 which is too expensive for any students and the museum should lower the price to $10-$15 which is more reasonable price

A very large collection and frequently rotating installations. You can spend an entire day here.

There are many ways to get free tickets (such as if you're an LA county resident); take advantage of those! There are also really cool installations that periodically change (e.g. the Rain Room). I recommend visiting a few times as you may not see everything in one day. Come with friends and family!

The museum itself is bigger than it looks, and with so much to see you'll easily spend a few hours there. The Guillermo Del Toro exhibit was fantastic, and it's a bummer that it's not a permanent installation. With a cafe and restaurant on site, you can easily spend the day there.

well what can i say i came here back in 2017 it was awesome i didnt really like it much this time most art i didnt understand and found weird even if contemporary art but still very little to see, but still dont let me discourage you to visit the museum is growing and i understand that before i would have reviewed last 2017 visit forsure 5 stars now its losing the feeling.

Urban lights is cool but again limited and you will get bored. Excellent WiFi though
