The LACMA is an architectural work where you can experience art both in its exterior and interior.
Free concerts great music exhibitions history art and culture where you can enjoy all this with your family and friends
So much Cool stuff to see. Can get pretty busy during the summer.
If you have a chance, go check the Charles White's exhibition.
Really cool museum. The art museum is kind of meh, but the tar pits are pretty neat. Its about 10 bucks a museum and they usually have small events and tents there. Pretty easy thing to do in an afternoon
This is one of the best places on earth, no joke. It holds it own against the Art Institute of Chicago and by no means is completely outclassed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I used to live nearby; I miss their changing exhibits and amazing regular collection.
It has amazing history and view; I just think the price is a little much, you pay for parking $16, and museum entrance fee is $25. I think that s a bit much; but we drove to see and visit it; so we paid! You if you are willing to pay then definitely must go place!!!!
Building and gardens are great, exhibitions well curated ( they could be better thought) gift shop and bar area could be better, luckily there are food trucks outside at lunch time
I thought an extraordinary museum very complete would always return
I am absolutely furious at this museum. My daughter and I attended today. A significant number of the exhibits were closed for one reason or another. However, the ticket prices were the same. Other attendees were similarly disappointed.
Convenient parking. Lots of food choices. You can easily spend four hours.
A world class art museum. I gladly pay for a membership here.
Pretty good! A great bang for your buck :). However, they had so much renovations going on that a lot of the museum was closed.
It's a really big museum with various stuff. Definitely worth the admission fee and your time.
Worst staff, they are very rude. And they closed almost all the exhibitions. Massive rip off. Don t waste your time there, this world much better museums to visit.
Latin sounds in the summer..Beautiful warm afternoon ..Bring chairs blankets wine food and just enjoy
Popular tourist attraction. It is an interesting area on Museum Row with alot of nearby areas to walk around.
Fabulous museum. Love eating at Ray and Stark's Bar.
Needed to ask where to find exhibits, even though we had a map. Was disappointed that gift shops had so little to sell regarding Chagall exhibit. Be prepared to pay $16 to park. Gift shops were incredibly extensive.
A great place to spend a couple of hours or all day.
It's photographic and free! You can walk the grounds of the museum and glimpse at some of the cars in the car musem for free.
Very nice place! You should come with a lot of time! The museum is huge and the collection is amazing! Worth the visita!
Beautiful place to see attached and listen to music in the park. If you're in Los Angeles this is a must see. Music in the park and amazing piece of original art. Take a picnic and a bottle of your favorite wine.
Between the special events like the demonstration of original props and personal items in Stanley Kubrick's one-off showcase, and the rooms full of pieces collected over time that are organized by world location origin, this museum has everything you could probably ask for, unless you are the snobbiest of snobs.
You can easily spent 4-7 hours in this place, and not see everything. Then you can come back in 3-6 months and see more work that has been rotated into stock.

I can't recommend this place highly enough.
LACMA is huge enough to fill a week with photo opportunities such as the light posts and suspended boulder, as well as a variety of artistic styles for everyone in the family, excluding small children.
Love this place. Great photography spot, with many unique installations.
Art galleries are amazing! and landscape around the museum is fantastic
My kids loved the hammer building arts and crafts center. The staff is awesome they make this place very enjoyable.
Always amazing instagram pic for the lampost. Good food at Rays restaurant. Art collection is interesting.
Very nice, including a fine selection of the Old Masters
Great place to visit! I would recomend to go later @ in the afternoon when the lights are on to get better pictures.
What can I say that hasn't already been said about this iconic landmark. We came during the free for all weekend and had a great time. The tar pits were free as well and we gained quite a bit of knowledge during the day of our visit. A bit overcrowded but I imagine there were other tourists and locals all converging for the free for all weekend. Staff were polite and knowledgeable about the exhibits and the buildings themselves so people like myself wouldn't get lost or go the wrong way.
Great museum, architecture and exhibitions. Some of the staff inside the gallery were a little rude regarding photos of the art (accused us of taking photos when we weren t) however that was a minor part of the experience
I love this place, they have a considerate discount for people in the L.A. county and people under the age of 18 can come for free (I think they need to come with an adult I'm not sure.) Breath taking art, they're constantly having new exhibitions. They have a cute little gift shop and other shops where you can buy food. And of course they have their iconic, and trade mark, Urban Lights display open to the public. They also have a park behind it, it's very peaceful.
Great place! Make sure you check out the bar area for happy hour.
Since I do not like all types of art, I found some buildings boring but that's just me. All buildings and grounds were clean and organized. It was a little crowded but expected on a holiday. My wife and daughters really enjoyed our afternoon there. We hand lunch, that we brought on the green lawn in the center of the museum grounds. The La Brea tar pits are outside the museum on the same property.
I went to the lights outside. Great place to take pictures. It was beutiful!
7 adult tickets $175 + $16
Parking fee. After 20min, we loss interest!
Lower floor - toy tracks
Upper floor- chicken scribble
Across from lower floor -
Fiji boat and spears + carpets
Clay pottery
That s all folks!
They are laughing all the way to the
museum bank with your hard earned money.
Great art collection. Fun atmosphere for live music family friendly and just a classy place to hang out
A wonderful museum, but beware of all the construction happening... lots of exhibits are off limits
Always charming. Admission is free for 17 and under. A must see if you like museums.
They are closing some of the most important exhibitions including 3rd and 4th floor of ahrmenson building(European art, etc) and hammer museum(Iranian, Egyption art), American art building, which are huge chunks of their attractions without proper head warning, they simply would say "some exhibitions are closed due to a construction". the construction apparently last for next 4 years. The ticket price is same expensive 25$(20$ per LA residents). I demanded refund but didn't work, so for the time being this wonderful museum which once had been a pride of LA is momentarily a scam hole.
I only wen here to take pictures for my niece 15 birthday , ita a beautiful place.
Beautiful grounds!- you leave refreshed and feeling peaceful after an evening walk. You must experience it for yourself!
Excellent, in the afternoon the lanterns come on and it is a great sight, although it is very crowded and it is difficult to find a good place to take a good picture.
It was a great place for us to visit. We went at night when all the lights were on. It was beautiful.
Many closed rooms for works including the Japanese pavilion and the Korean pavilion and only the 1st floor of the central museum opened with photo ban on most of the exhibition.
So if you go through L.A., before you buy your tickets, get informed.
With their main exhibition under construction, it was pretty disappointing. All the art is based on repeating an item. A rug made it of cigarettes, rope made it of hair, boiled down coca cola. It's all excessive and meaningless.
Great Museum but a bit disappointed because a lot of exhibits were closed.
Favorite museum in town. Come here to take the stereotypical LA picture with the street lamps.
The art was beautiful, but the employees were not. They made you felt very uncomfortable and could not fully enjoy the art.
Great place to take the family, and if your into photography, you could get some cool shots here
The street lamp installation art outside at night is beautiful
