The Sundays Live Concerts, which are free, are a great gift for lovers of Classical music.
This place is beautiful and filled with culture and art!
Liked it and the pop up art groups for kids is great!
Huge, huge museum that goes from classic art to contemporary art. Definitely slice out a big portion of your day if you attempt to try to see everything. Come for city lights, stay for the great rotating exhibitions.
Fabulous museum. So much beautiful, fun, weird, cool art to see and enjoy.
LACMA is one of my favorite museums in LA: the very picture worthy lamp-posts outside, cool contemporary arts, fun college nights/free days and other events make this a hip and happening venue!
They have an array of art: with the broad contemporary building, a pavilion across from it with changing exhibits, to the Japanese pavilion featuring primarily Asian art, to the American art building. Some of my favorites include the Brancusi, Matisse, and Picasso. LACMA definitely takes over 2 hours to see, so plan a good portion of your day around it. Parking is definitely annoying, and if you're not an art person or don't know artists I don't think it'd really be worth $15 or whatever general admission is.
But if you're not willing to pay and just want a picture with the lampposts- come on a weeknight when hopefully there isn't as much of a crowd!
Cute, they have meter parking and underground parking for about 8$
Parking was a challenge after hours but very cool place.
Great place, quite a few free exhibits to see, but pay the fee and go in, it's pretty cheap
The JON Mayer jazz Trio was playing in the courtyard. Lots of new exhibits to view at the Pavilion ...
Always fun. Moderate crowd for a weekend. #art #modernart #culture #photography #rainyday #inspiration
Fabulous museum. I'm sorry to see the old building go but excited to see how the new one comes out.
If you live art, you should definitely check this place out.
This is a great place like remember it's closed on Wednesdays
The LACMA is L.A.'s premier art museum. Come for the art, stay for the culture.
Really was expecting more exhibits. 3/4 was closed and what was on display was so unrelatable . Really disappointed.
Some great collection of art located here. I would say this is a world class museum. I enjoyed the Picasso exhibit.
if you like this place, you'll love the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden.
Must go place, lights, easy metered parking and foods
It is very good just to pass in front of the eyes at night!
What an amazing experience!! The art. The variety of amazing artists. The ambiance. If you live or are visiting the Los Angeles area, this museum should definitely be on your bucket list!
Someone will have seen this location in the film Amici Amanti and ... it is the museum of modern art with this unique lighting that is absolutely worth seeing in your trip to Los Angeles! Highly recommended
I've been going here since I was very young and every time is a joy! Come and get inspired! Don't forget to check out the Urban Lights!
Really cool event for a non-partisan type like myself
Beautiful and interesting exhibits. Was fortunate to visit during free admission on second Tuesday of evey month. If modern art isn't your thing none of the current installations will change your mind.
Very well maintained great items from all past year s and century..
It was a great way to spend the day!!
Attended a Latin Jazz concert at the outdoor amphitheatre. Sat on the grass with friends, talking, munching and sipping wine. It was beautiful! So many families there and people from all across Los Angeles hanging out together In the same place, practically shoulder to shoulder in some areas, and it was all chill. At one moment I looked around and it was like looking at a Renoir or a early Seurat painting, (though this, thankfully, included people from many races and nationalities - just saying) - like a field sown with diversity - so many faces and colors, like a sea of wildflowers, and each doing regular, ordinary things: like cooing to a baby; eating a sandwich; looking over the rim of a plastic cup while being regaled with tales of the latest escapade; or lost in that glorious exaltation that is the cat-and-mouse of dancing with one's partner to the sweet Latin Jazz that rolled through the whole scene like mischevious waves of light and sound - scintillation and vibration. Unforgettable! What a beautiful way to celebrate my friend's birthday. See y'all there next time?
Amazing! Suggest doubling the time you think you'll need to see everything! $25/normal ticket for us and even with many exhibits/areas closed for construction.... Was awesome and inspiring!
The best deal is a child's membership. Your kid gets it free till 18 years old and as the accompanying adult you also get admission free. How sweet is that? Art, culture, quality time priceless! Great way to spend an afternoon.
Awesome place to spend some spared time enjoying everything.
Forst time to go here and already fall in love with the place.. Historic arts!
Home of the most photographed Urban Lights. Spent half a day exploring the variety of collections. LACMA left me in awe, I get to see Picasso, Warhol, and a whole lot more.
Nice place for street photographer and any tourist to come here. IG: december19
My family and I love going to LACMA. This is a museum for literally anyone. It's wonderful for children, art enthusiasts or just someone who wants to get out of the house. They have events, free options, food and unique installations.
Had a Great Time seening the lights with a Nice walk towards the Tar Pits. Only 1 issue We asked: A young African American female about any concerts or activitys here, and Not Once did she make eye contact she jus replied No and continued on her Cell Phone . Kind of Disappointing. I guess I should ask goggle next time.
I went because I love this museums snap chat. The light exhibit outside was really cool with street lamps of different styles and time points. The museum has a ton of events ranging in price and usually has a featured exhibit or artist
I really like the art at LACMA and I had a lot of fun
This is a wonderful museum! I love the free jazz on Friday nights and the community feel. A must visit!
CLOSED ON TUESDAY (or was it Wednesday?) I'm surprised to see poor reviews. Everywhere you go in this huge museum you bump into something different and marvelous. I highly recommend taking a free docent tour - these folks take their jobs seriously and know a LOT about the works of art.
I love bringing my kids to museums and outdoor things, they are members of LACMA and love going and walking around. My oldest son loves all of the information on the tar pits, and with each child member, an adult gets into the museums for free.
I stopped by to see a lightbulb at night, but there were some people.
I parked at the bottom and stayed for 1 hour.
Nice museum. A bit pricey unless you're 17 and under
A MUST & UR CULTURAL ONE STOP SHOP. NOW, if U want to spend an entire day there U can. But, remember, after 3 pm the entrance is free and U get exactly 2 hrs. 2 see all 5~6 exhibits. It can be done and U have 2. B. quick, or U can oay the entrance fee and take UR time. They also have museum tours that are interesting and informative. They host different artists weekly, monthly, and during the seasons. Special exhibits are available, and may or may not fall under the free after 3 deal, but their fee is reasonable and not 2 expensive.
Amazing exhibits however some were closed for renovations
I love Lacma, I wish I could work there. I always take my friends through the Museum so I can impress them and feel cultured ;)
Cool day trip! Norton Simon is way better, but LACMA still fab.
This hotel is beautiful and amazing and the waitress was simply the best. She was so sweet and gave amazing recommendations, and made sure to take the best care of us during our meals and stay at the beach. Thank you so much for making our experience so memorable at this hotel! We really enjoyed our vacation so much! Highly recommended and kudos! Thank you.
The place was full of huge collection of art and historical stuff.I am very happy with my experience here and i would definitely visit again in future. There's no any kind of parking problem which is a good thing, if i talk about the atmosphere was also great.
