My husband and I went there for the first time last night. Loved it! Friendly efficient staff, delicious food, and the inside was cozy and clean.

Omg! The staff here are super fantastic and extremely friendly! I love them! Today was my first time here and I can't wait to visit again! Extremely caring, helpful and they made me laugh all day! The food was great also..

I actually enjoy their food and customer service, fantastic area next to my house. The cashiers are always kind. Will come back again.

We went with a group of friends . Our meals we not special at all . The service is poor and the decore was really dated. Its the three C crowd. Cane Cardiac Cadillac . Don't waste your money.

Always good food but the wait staff needs to not rush around as much. All them rushing around, running around, kicking open the kitchen door just spoils the whole experience.

I order from here a lot for my workplace, and they've always been fantastic! The food is delicious (and the portions are HUGE, especially on chicken/pasta dishes), and the wait staff is always quick and friendly. Kristen, the bartender, is the best - speedy, sharp, and super friendly. Love love love this place.

Not impressed. The second I walked in, we were judged. We were Walked all the way to the back and into a small room filled with tables with children. I don t have any children, but I guess because I wasn t wearing slacks and a dress shirt, I was too uncivilized to sit in the main dining room. (even though there were plenty of seats). The service was otherwise just okay. Food was barely better than a chain Italian restaurant but prices were much higher.

Also, they don t even make their own deserts.

100% not worth the drive.

I was there for a wedding reception and the food and wait staff were excellent. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the wedding was moved to this venue and as a guest, we were completely satisfied.

Wonderful restaurant serving high quality authentic Abruzzo regional dishes. Service is impeccable and large selection of wines.

Food is great. Portions are large. Waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable.

A mainstay of Newtown Square, La Locanda Ristorante Italiano does not disappoint. Easily accessible, free, adequate parking, pleasant atmosphere, great wait staff & nice variety of menu & wine choices make this eatery a standout in the area. A little pricey, but worth it. What's not to like? ;-)

Excellent traditional Italian food. The Eggplant La Locanda was exceptional.

Had a wonderful Mother's Day brunch today. After leaving Newtown Grill from a bad experience (see my full review), La Locanda saved us from disaster. Our entire party was seated quickly and the service was excellent. The food was superb especially the Lobster Bisque soup and Fritata special. We were not rushed and the atmosphere was relaxing. I would highly recommend visiting. We even met the owner who wanted to ensure we had a great dining experience.

Amazing service! We had our annual Christmas dinner here. Great wine selection, private room, amazing food. Dont hesitate go! Ask for Jill she is awesome!

I love this place. The food is superb. The service is top shelf. If I could afford to, I would dine here every night. Triple yumm.

Beautiful building inside is even nicer food is fabulous servers are amazingly friendly and accommodating would recommend this restaurant to anyone for party meal for large family to an intimate night out for two this place has it all I've patronized this restaurant since it's opening!

Quality of food is nothing like what it used to be but the prices are still about the same. Very disappointed

Our server was great ! But unfortunately the food here wasn't that great. We looked forward to enjoying a good Italian dinner but were disappointed. The prices were overpriced for the quality of the food. We paid $35 for a bottle of wine that we later found out actually cost $12 online. We also had reservation for 8:00 O'clock and had to wait for about 30 minutes to be seated.

Food was great! Also the office manager Amy is so sweet and friendly!!! I will be back again :)

We've been here a couple times with family and the food and service are always top notch.

Last week was our first time we visited this place. But It is no doubt not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the generous service, with the exceptional meal and wine and with the comfortable price. We will definitely go back there soon.

Good plating and excellent light flavors. Keeps the purity and simplicity of the dishes and ingredients. Somehow this food tasted like what I imagined the people in the Godfather and other movies featuring classic Italian fare would have eaten. Truly excellent.

I was served in a party of 19 tonight (9/30), and the waitress was absolutely horrendous. Her attitude was nasty, and seemed as if she had zero interest in being there. She was very flustered and tried rushing around everyone. When someone asked for something, she quickly exclaimed that she had to do something else first before she could do what they asked. It seemed as if we were personally offending her when requesting something. There was a small child in the room who was rather rambunctious, but instead of trying to be courteous around him, she shushed him and told him to stop. It is not her place to shush someone s child. The worst of it all, when giving out bread, she stuck both of her hands in the basket and picked up each piece of bread to explain what it was. Not only was that rude, it s disgusting and the whole table was appalled. Quite possibly the worst waitress we ve ever had.

Delicious food and good service. Terrific restaurant for a special night out. Several servers know their customers well which is great. Pasta is excellent as is their veal and chicken dishes. Deserts are so so. Service is professional.

Wife and I had dinner there, last night. Although the food has always been terrific, the restaurant is a little far from our home, so we haven"t been there in quite awhile. We decided to visit to see waitress, GIllian, who we knew from her time at Chadds Ford Tavern. The restaurant food and service was as we anticipated- FIRST CLASS.

Great dining experience. Great bread selection w roasted peppers, the fried calamari was tasty and fresh, marina sauce supurb, main meal Veal Florentino was $26, delicious. I will come again.
Street location is nosey but outdoor donibg felt safe.
Waitress was OK.

Dinner was okay at a high price. I would not go back here again.

Good food, all dinner entrees are about $21-$22 and increase to the mid $30s for beef, appetizers are a bit steep but good tasting, should give you more to balance out the steep price. Wait staff does a good job also.

Classic and great food and service. Well located on Rte 3.

Food was good and server nice. Would be 5 stars had we gone on a day it wasn't so busy(went for Easter dinner). Disappointed they weren't serving the whole menu and the item I wanted was unavailable. Waited 30 minutes to be seated when we had a reservation. One of our party had a train to catch and only got her food minutes before she had to leave, over 45 minutes after we were seated and ordered which was 45 minutes after we arrived.

Absolutely delicious authentic cuisine, we will definitely be back! Great outdoor dining experience

I come here all the time, staff is very friendly and the food is amazing. Went to their Super Bowl 52 watch party Buffet and it was fantastic. It's a high-end restaurant and their food is always fresh never had a problem. Very relaxing atmosphere and the service is fantastic everytime I come here. They have many rooms for parties and groups. Great place to eat and socialise and have a nice bar as well. Really nice place for a date.

Amazing food and service! Very intimate, romantic and relaxing atmosphere. Our server, Debbie, was excellent! She was extremely knowledgable, personal, and attentive but not overly so. The food was exceptional - great specials too! The chef created a superb experience for us (celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary) with fresh and savory plates. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Went with a large group. They handled it very well. Had the Salmon and it was quite tasty.

Outside seating with heaters made for a pleasant atmosphere. We all enjoyed our meals; however, when we ordered, we asked for separate checks, as we were a group of 6. We were told that wasn't an option, but that they could take six separate forms of payment. As we had a later reservation, they were starting to close while we were still finishing dessert, so that felt a little awkward. But overall it was a nice evening.

We came to celebrate our daughters graduation from WCU last night. We had reservations for 8 and were seated immediately. The staff was friendly & personable as was our waitress. Excellent service. We all ordered something different and everyone was happy and satisfied. We all say we would definitely come here again and we wish that it was closer to where we live. I will definitely come here again when I visit my daughter. It was a very special day for us and they made it very nice

Decent okay food. Nothing special about their Italian food. I got the lasagna which was really chewy and had a taste I haven't tasted before but I kinda liked it.

Such a great meal! And perfect for all size groups, too. So many delicious choices. I had the farfalle with salmon and asparagus in a blush sauce, so tasty. Others in my party had veal piccata, mushroom ravioli, and eggplant parmigiana. The service is excellent. This is one of my go-to places for celebrating and entertaining guests.

My husband and I went there for Valentine's Day dinner and it was amazing. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and wine and when he found out my husband grew up in South Philly they had alot to talk about. We are going tonight with our boys for father's day outside seating and are really looking forward to amazing food again

Last night a group of us had dinner at your fine dining restaurant at least that was what I had heard! The service was unacceptable. The waiter was on roller skates. He threw the bread on the table accompanied by a very small plate of roasted peppers (we were 8 and there was enough for 1 piece each). He ignored our request for more. We asked for oil for the bread and were given a large bottle of oil we asked for grated cheese and he threw down two little plates beside each other on the table. No specials were given. He did not know what dishes we had ordered and we had to identify what plate was ours.

Surely, in a fine restaurant the waiter would have coded each person s choice and given the plates to the correct person.! Trying to get a second drink was difficult. Dishes and glasses were swiped away before everyone had finished. Eventually, one person was still eating and the table was cleared of almost everything. Any take home portions were poured into the take home boxes in the same manner as you would empty plates into the garbage it was pretty gross and the remaining diner was so disgusted that she couldn t finish her meal.

We were discussing how much tip we should give him as none of us wanted him to have the, now usual, 20%. He had shown no interest in us and, in fact, treated us as if he was doing us a favour by even serving us. When the bill came we found that he had added (in ink) 20%. We didn t want to make a scene so we paid it.

I know that La Laconda has a very good reputation but last night made us see you in a very different light. We all live locally and some of the party dine regularly at your fine dining establishment. I do not know how this will change because this very bad experience has left a bad taste in our mouths.

I do not remember the waiter s number but we were seated in the porch area and we were a party of eight.

this review is about a table of 13...the way they set the table was two on each end which was fantastic... everybody was able to talk to each other without screaming...everyone loved their food, from the house salads to the soups to the entrees, to the drinks and to the desserts...everything wasn't exactly perfect but everything was more than adequate...in other words three of the soups were not as hot as people would have liked them so they warmed them right up...and one of the entrees was too tough for somebody to chew into, so they upgraded her to a special...and the server in doing so was very patient with her and he was not at all perturbed by her insistence of some new dish....when two of our table had to leave for an extended period they gave them new dinners completely, instead of warming up their two dishes that were sitting there...I give this place two thumbs up, since a two course meal with either a house salad or soup and an entree and sodas and coffee came to about $38, which included a 20 percent tip.

Best Dover Sole. Love sitting at the bar tables. Warm atmosphere.

My pasta was to perfection al dente. Our veal was tender and delicious. We ate here 4 years ago and said we need to make the trip yearly.

First off let me say that I'm a vegetarian and the only thing I found that I could eat was the pasta olay. I do not like eggplant parm so I can not really give an opinion on that dish. My significant other ordered the lasagna and said that something in the meat tasted off or old. He will not be eating from this restaurant again. This restaurant is overpriced and the portions are small. Nothing more that I can say at this time.

Charming decor , great service and delicious food !

Food was excellent, attentive service and friendly staff. It all made a very pleasant Thanksgiving dining experience. I had the citrus salmon and it was delicious. The sauce was light and had great flavor and was accompanied by spinach and mashed sweet potatoes. The pumpkin butternut squash soup thst preceded the entree was also very tasty. This is a great place to go for a special meal.

Nice atmosphere. A little too expensive for what is served. Staff is friendly and attentive. Cold salad plate was a nice touch.
