About Bobath Scotland
Bobath Scotland is a non-profit organization that aims to help people with cerebral palsy build skills, knowledge, confidence and relationships. The organization was founded in 1995 by a group of parents who were frustrated with the lack of support available for their children with cerebral palsy. Since then, Bobath Scotland has grown into one of the leading organizations in the UK dedicated to improving the lives of people with cerebral palsy.
At Bobath Scotland, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live their life to the fullest. That's why we offer a range of services designed to help people with cerebral palsy achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Our team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists who work together to provide holistic care tailored to each individual's needs.
One of our core services is therapy sessions for children and adults living with cerebral palsy. Our therapy sessions are designed to improve mobility, communication skills and independence. We use a range of techniques including neurodevelopmental therapy (NDT), sensory integration therapy (SIT) and functional electrical stimulation (FES) to help our clients achieve their goals.
In addition to our therapy sessions, we also offer training courses for parents, carers and healthcare professionals working with people living with cerebral palsy. Our courses cover topics such as understanding cerebral palsy, managing spasticity and promoting independence.
At Bobath Scotland, we understand that living with cerebral palsy can be challenging not just for individuals but also for families. That's why we offer family support services including counselling sessions where families can discuss any concerns they may have about caring for someone living with cerebral palsy.
We are proud of our track record in helping people living with cerebral palsy achieve their goals. Over the years we have helped countless individuals improve their mobility, communication skills and overall quality of life.
