The financial aid and student account departments are always sleeping and not doing their job on time. Its the end of the semester and I still haven't received my refund check. MCC was much better than this! What a lousy school this is. It's been months since I have been waiting on my checks I have also tried to contact them and they always tell me to wait till next week. What kind of a college is this

I would highly advise anyone looking in to Brockport, to NEVER go there... By far the worst experience I have had at a college. After them sending the wrong transcripts to a prospective grad school, being hung up on 4 times, the unprofessional nursing staff and the incompetence, they are a disgrace to New York's education system....

I absolutely loved my time as this school. I met some amazing people, and still talk to some of my professors because they were so impactful on my life. The plowing was decent unless it was a really bad storm, in which you weren't going to see your car for days. As a commuter, this was fine for me. Unless you wanted to find parking, which is the hardest thing to do here.

This is a great school. The new president and her administration are definitely making a difference. They are working on the veteran issues so hope to see that resolved. They are active with the community with classes for seniors and access to the fitness center. They often have free movies and lectures available to the public, (at least 4 per week).
I enjoy interacting with the staff and faculty.

If you're a commuter, Brockport is not the college for you. The only way you can get a spot is by coming to class at least 45 minutes early and waiting for a spot to open up. Professors are great for the most part, but it's obvious that the college cares more about what they want to do with our money, than what we actually need.

Great SUNY college in a picturesque setting. I miss living in Brockport and being able to go to their gym, which residents of Brockport, could buy a membership too. I've known many students that went there, and the curriculum was fantastic. Also loved bringing clients there when there was a dance for the Lifetime Assistance residents.

I recently completed my graduate degree here in Brockport and I am extremely frustrated by the amount of time, energy and money I spent to gain so little intellectually. Many of the faculty and staff are incompetent. Many of the courses contain large amounts of busywork. I will never recommend this college to anyone.

NY has a lot of excellent state schools but Brockport is not one of them.

Everyone has been very welcoming and helpful. Had a few roadblocks in getting financial aid straightened out. I simply sent an email to the director Scott Atkinson and he immediately called me back and everything was corrected! People need to understand that college staff is made up of interns, work study, and volunteers! MOST will not have all your answers! If it's important send an email to the department head so you have verified proof and a detailed trail of response or lack thereof. BE YOUR OWN BEST ADVOCATE... DO NOT SIT AND WAIT.

Worst school ever attended. The professors are sub par and when it snows, they do not plow the streets, sidewalks or parking lots on campus. Internet is horrible and printers never work. Go anywhere BUT Brockport.

My experiences at the College were life changing. I am grateful to all of the wonderful faculty and staff who guided and educated me from a child of 17 to an adult of 21 who was ready for high caliber graduate work and the work force. I strongly believe that the very full variety of courses, mentoring and taking advantage of numerous extra-curricular activities created a self confidence in me that has lead to a full and happy life. I love the College at Brockport and I think about my years there on a very regular basis. Thank you one and all.

- If you commute....don't come here. All the commuter parking is taken up by people who live on campus so you can't find a spot. You'll get a ticket for parking where there isn't a spot but someone who lives on campus won't get ticketed for storing their car in the commuter lot (they have a massive lot for students living in campus)
Actually come to think of it; the parking here is just abysmal in general.

- the gym for people aren't student athletes is very small and they don't have showers so if you live off campus you can't go to the gym between classes.

- While the library staff are helpful the library is small and they don't eveforce volume levels so no matter where you go it's loud.

- If you're a Veteran...don't come here. The VA office is slow, inefficient and has more extra paperwork to do than any other college I've been to. It seems like every semester there's some problem that prevents them from processing the paperwork. Even MCC does it better. When you go in to politely ask for help you get attitude from their staff as if them helping you is a burden. Literally every veteran here has issues with this place. What's worse is the hours of the veterans office are short and obscure so you'll probably have class when they're open.
