Beautiful store with a wide array of clothing and outside equipment, albeit mostly overpriced. The trout pond, fish tank, and animal exhibits are fun to see. Products are high quality and they do have a Sale section, but you can get better prices at their outlet store across the street in that mall. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Lots of free parking in the back and there is a park that has concerts and movie nights, as well as lawn games set up all the time. A nice diversion for kids while one parent is shopping or for the family after shopping is done. Ice cream nearby, too.

LL Bean is a Maine legend. Hopefully it will maintain that standing in the years to come. Since I was a small lad climbing the stairs to the sales floor over the factory, I have been a fan of Beans. The things they sell are a bit more expensive than the stuff you get at Wally's, but the things from Bean are still in good shape long after you don't even remember what the other stuff was. So, long run, it costs a lot less. And it's one of the few places to still sell mens dress shirts with real collar sizes and sleeve lengths. Just Awesome!!!!

We had fun exploring the store and picking up gifts, gear, and novelties. It's all about the outdoors - things you need to enjoy it and look good while you are enjoying it. There are really good sales there.

Helpful people; nice atmosphere. Note to Men shopping for Clothing: The clothes are always a little bigger than labeled. A small at this store is bigger than a small at Land's End or American Eagle. Very nice clothing variety, colors.

Bought a $700 comforter and cover set with the understanding that if it ever came apart at the seams, your warranty would cover it. Now your warranty is no more. I wouldn't have overpaid for a $100 comforter set if I had known you were cancelling the one thing that got me to pay the absurd price in the first place.... It definitely isn't the quality.. it's the warranty... No warranty=No customers

You get the best service during the early hours of the morning haha. I ve always had a great time in this store! The fish tank is really neat if you have little kids. Every year beginning the first week of December L.L. Bean hosts free horse drawn carriage rides around the quaint town of Freeport and decorates their property for Christmas

Who doesn't love LL Bean? 400 acre campus. Many stores! Best customer service in the world! Their product line is "the good stuff", and is made to last a long time. It's a little more expensive, but worth it! This place is always on our list when we go to Maine.

Very nice selection of products. My only complaint is that the camping section was difficult to navigate. However everyone on the floor was nothing but polite and helpful with locating items and just the general warm greeting they all give. I could tell they were very prideful:)

Today I m disappointed in there Christmas Gift box of Pancake mix complete with plain & blueberry pancake mixes, blueberry jam & Maine maple syrup.

Very sad the pancakes & syrup were tasteless.
A true waste of money. $44.95

Not what it used to be! I shopped at LL Bean for many years. Over the years I noticed the quality of the products gradually going downhill while the prices were going up across the board. For the last couple of years, I've avoided buying anything at LLBean, The quality is no longer there as it was years ago. For example, flannel shirts from years ago were thick and warm. The same shirts today are very thin and simply not worth anywhere near what the price is. Bean has a major competitor and their products are far superior in workmanship and overall quality.

LLBEAN has been a mainstay for the outdoorsman for a long time. Great quality clothing and equipment at a competitive price. It employs most of the people in the surrounding area and beyond in it's satellite stores. Bargains galore.

I have been a long time LL Bean shopper, we always get out skiing and outdoor gear here. Recently though the customer service has been terrible... I'm not sure why it has changed so drastically in the last few months, but it is very disappointing. I purchased a base layer from the Freeport location and when I went to wear it I noticed it was falling apart at the stitching. I called and they said that of course I would receive a full refund or a replacement product. When I went to the store (4 days after purchasing) they were out of stock and would not give me a full refund even though I had the receipt! They returned the amount that was charged to me LL Bean credit card but would not reimburse my gift certificate amount even though I was told over the phone that they would. The sales associate was also rude and simply shrugged when I asked if there was anything else they could do. Mean while the customer next to me successfully returned a pair of slippers that were over two years old with no receipt for a full refund because the treads had worn down.

This is the LL Bean headquarters. It is a complex of stores in different buildings, each featuring a line of Bean merchandise. The stores are understaffed and sometimes are out of stock of merchandise.
Lots of visitors to the state of Maine come here. It is a tourist attraction. Tour buses drop off loads of passengers at the front doors.

Bought some awesome bedding and my husband bought some shoes! They had an event one day that we visited, and we watched dogs jumping into a large pool! A fun day at the LL Bean in Freeport, Maine

We were there before the holidays, so it was crowded and had a very festive feel to it, lots going on. Some good sales, too - so much to look at, including the animals that are mounted, the snowglobe that people could go in to and have their photo taken and of course the big boot. Very helpful staff at every level.

Overwhelming but amazing! There are so many different departments in different buildings. The store staff was SO kind and friendly. The grounds of the complex were clean and well maintained. Def make sure you budget enough time in your schedule for an adequate visit. We spent 2 hours there EASILY!

If you haven't been to the L.L. Bean complex, it's definitely worth a visit, especially during one of their events. They put on a huge wintertime affair, bringing in hundreds of evergreens to set up a winter wonderland complete with lights, reindeer, fancy cocoa, and Santa.

Pretty sure I haven't been to Freeport since a very long - ago road trip from UNH to get blucher mocs (totally dating myself here) but it is bright and welcoming and full of great stuff. Brought my daughter and her pals here on our way back from a college visit to U Maine and plan to make it a yearly post-Christmas visit. Not only was the store fun, but the decorations in and especially outside were so festive and inviting. This place has managed to stay current without losing its soul.
