Amazing - spread through at least three buildings, with enough parking lots to justify a tram. This is the mothership - if you even have a passing interest in L.L. Bean, you have to stop at least once.

Staff was friendly. No clothing tops for taller women which was disappointing and meant I couldn t buy anything.

Had fun walking around and found i alot of things i could use for my outdoor trips. Staff was very helpful

Woah. I really wasn't expecting much from this store (or LL Bean in general) but this was worth the stop. My wife and I both ended up getting jackets. Their clothing is much more trendy then I remember it being as a kid.

What can you say about L.L. Bean. Super products, super staff, and the best return policy in the industry. Just go there, you will not be disappointed. Oh and in the flagship store they have sale racks, yippee!

I have wanting to visit this store for years! There is no LLBeans near me. This flagship is kinda along my route so i HAVE to stop by here. I can spend half a day here easily. Picked up a few items on sale and found a paiR of pants for trails n hiking. The best thing is that I can see, touch and try everything here so much more fun then ordering from catalog.

LL Bean brings Freeport to life every Christmas. It is a destination of itself: the lights, the reindeer, Santa, hit chocolate. And they sell high quality product, too.

Best return policy in the world hands down. Also the quality of all of there products is second to none. I have never truly been let down or disappointed by there products. If you buy it you have it forever.

L.L.Bean will always be an iconic place to visit and a true Maine treasure. Their stores are amazing, so many buildings, so many things they offer and not just clothes. There is the hunting department, the Outdoor Discovery programs they offer, classes for all kinds of things like how to fly fish or tie fly lures. While there are some things I love to buy, like their Bean bags and boots, there are a lot of things I won't. I think their quality of clothing has dropped over the years, which is too bad. The price tag does not always fit the quality of the clothes.

A massive store that brings tons of tourists. If you are into that sort of thing, it's for you; if not, you will hate it.

Open 24/7/364 and they have high quality well made gear for every area of outdoor enjoyment from hunting, to camping to boating to skiing and more. Love this place and town

Prices a little too high,quality not as good as it used to be

We went to shop there in the Middle of Feb, 2020 to buy a sweatshirt and in that time the store had a big promotion. I got the sweatshirt 50% off from regular price. After that we saw clearance section and the sign said Additional 50% off so we bought a lot more from clearance section. We rushed out to drive home because it was getting late. We did not check receipt until we got another bill from LLBean in April that we have to pay more, we checked the receipt and noticed that they charge us all 50% off from regular price instead of additional 50% off from prices on the ticket (the price in receipt is more than ticket price) We called them back and after they ask us the price from every single item. This is what they said we do not remember that promotion so the price is the price on the receipt and if you don t want it you can return it . But we are not close by( 3 hours drive). The way they answered was irresponsible, unacceptable we spend a lot of time to pick out the sizes( it hard to find the right size in clearance stuff and try them on... )
Did anyone else remember that promotion at that time???

Always a great time to visit the main store. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to get through all of the store.

Pretty cool decor. I'm used to Bass Pro Shop and Cabela's coming from out west, but I would put the home decor section a tad bit above both of those stores. Prices seemed decent as well. For other stuff, I still lean towards Bass Pro Shop.

Great experience. Took advantage of them being open 24 hours a day and went at 11pm. Less crowded and had the store to ourselves!

Online shopping only for me. I'm on the west coast. Would by more stuff here, but the Canadian dollar value is currently too low. When that changes again I'll be buying here again. Great stuff

What's not to love about this place?! Incredibly helpful and kind staff, excellent quality products, absolutely beautiful store campus - inside and out. Don't forget to stop by one of their two cafes and this time of year visit Santa and his reindeer with a fresh hot coco from the coco hut!

When is LL Beans NOT a joy?! Everyone masked and social distancing, didn't take away that much from the usual experience! As usual, spent too much but always an enjoyable visit

Good quality products it has to be the best customer service anywhere, the prices are very high but they stand behind their products 100%. I had to stand in a long line of returns but they got us through very quickly and I was very satisfied with the outcome.

LL Bean HQ!! If you want to see and touch all the things...they're here!
Plan a solid 4-6 hrs, it's a HUGE complex. Super pleasant, helpful staff. The whole area has tons of other walkable shopping as well.
Plus...(for bored partners ) there's food, coffee and comfy seating.
Warning: If taxidermy is NOT your thing, there's TONS of it.

This store is made for tourist that don't know real quality. As a real Mainer, I was embarrassed and felt out of place.

Was going to get a firearm from Cabelas and when I called to find out if it was in stock, they were unwilling to help and told me to go to their website so I called LL Bean and not only were they very helpful but the specific firearm I was looking for was $20.00+ less at Beans. Emily was outstanding. Went back Christmas morning to purchase a scope and Pete (or Paul?) was very helpful. Their staff didn't make us feel rushed, we felt like their number 1 priority and they were incredibly knowledgable. I thought I would be giving Cabelas more business after Beans changed their warranty policy but after this experience I will keep using Beans due to their excellent customer service and surprisingly competitive pricing!

Friendly staff and found exactly what i was looking for in the camping section.

What's not to love?! A fish tank with a glass bubble so kids can be 'inside' with the fish, a nice fish pond, mounted animal displays, a big boot, amazing customer service, quality products, fair prices, a lifetime warranty & a cafe! And that's just the flagship store...there is also another building just for home goods & one for outdoor/fishing gear.

Terrific time at this wonderful place. We love to shop here and it's great to be able to have items sent home for free! All employees were so cheerful and one employee took our picture in their winter snow globe. Thanks LL Bean for making shopping enjoyable, easy, and fun!

Some great stuff. All expensive. I found $50-60 for a button up shirt that is not even comfortable.

Loved L.L Bean too much.

On a month and a half long stay in Maine beginning of this fall I almost could always be found at L.L bean which just so happens to never be closed and was only a 4 minute walk from where I stayed.



you can almost live at L.L bean with the selection of items and they even have small food and drink vending machines as well.

L.L bean is like all the best of all the world's stores packed into something extraordinary and they appear to still be the best and reliable brand for certain items.

So it all was a terrible cold, quick shock to me when the staff decided that my constant presence at the store was becoming a problem for no reason.



eventually they pressured me more and wanted to know all the time if I found anything I liked.

but then they finally turned bold and started confronting me with several issues.

For one thing I had not made a single purchase not once since I had visited this store for 6 days straight and a few nights.

Then they told me that when people come to the store for a long time often without purchasing any items that is when they begin to be wary of a person.

but they told me my constant presence was also making their other customers nervous.

And one complained of harassment.

and if I did not intend to purchase anything that it was plain meaningless to be here in the first place.

They told me of how there were recent shopliftings of many items.

and I suppose that in a store where a simple shirt averages around 50$ then it would be cause for slight caution.

But they had no reason to be overly suspicious or bothered by me and i did not act suspicious or out of place.

And I certainly did not harrass their other customers.

I sat down on a few benches and beds but I was looking at my phone or the like.

Isn't that why there are benches and seats here in the first place!??.



They told me that I had been in the store too long and too often and they were removing me by probable cause.



Other customers came here for a fast and pleasant shopping experience and they had to make sure I was not planning trouble of some kind.

They've had people who had come into the store for long periods of time before and sometimes they were just being very frugal.

But sometimes they were pocketing items and stalking the store.

I was horribly offended and I did complain about the security.

Mind-you these are security guards who some may or may not be in uniform and some who carry a taser or pepper spray.

If anything that is what should frighten their customers away more than anything.

I have only loved L.L Bean more and more until that one day.

it was in fact a long time dream of mine to visit the store that started it all.

I must have dreamt of something totally unreal.

I have heard of people who have spent the entire night shopping here and never have had any such problems with the store.

but L.L bean has changed in too many ways.

Disappointed the no longer have lifetime guarantee. Nice products but you can buy a lot of it at other stores.

We love LL Bean more than the REI in our town. Our family stop in every year to take our photo of the very large Bean Boot outside. This is our 11th year visiting Maine. Always a great selection of SPF clothing, thank you.

A common vacation destination and a place to bring any visitors to Maine. Several stores with different features: hunting, biking, kayaking, clothing, furniture and discount. The quality is solid, the style is Maine-ish and the prices reasonable. For me LLBean meets the sweet spot of the quality and price I desire.

Fun experience to wander around the campus and see all the gear.
