Kruisherenhotel Maastricht Review

Smart design between heaven and earth. The baseline of the Kruisherenhotel completely covers the load. It is a special boutique hotel in the unique setting of the former monastery and the church. Everything you expect from a contemporary, comfortable luxury hotel, combined with history, authenticity and character. The highlight we found was the wonderful bathroom with a whirlpool bath and underfloor heating. Totally indulgent!

Incredible place, which you certainly must visit even if you do not stay here. You could enjoy your meal in the restaurant upstairs or have a drink at the ground floor.
Also, do not miss a chance to walk around inside and have a look at the paintings and collection of wines.

Impressive hotel in a former church. Getting used to.

Very special hotel in a unique setting. Very well kept room. Tasty and rich breakfast, also vegetable milk available. The prices in the bar are ok.

Very quiet, despite the location in the city center

Our hotel with carnival. A wonderful recurring event every year. Closing the carnival season and then with a few passes in the hotel. in the morning a good breakfast. The service this year left something especially the person who pointed the rooms was not in shape (to say the least). This also made known at the counter. The beds are very hard. Sleeping is even difficult on the hard beds.

Amazing hotel in Maastricht. Really super arranged alle.aal and it also looks fantastic.
We were out for the first time with our newborn son, and upon arrival in the room there was a nice hug and card ready with the congratulations of the hotel. A delicious pie was also waiting for us. Great entry and surprise.
Rooms are spacious and luxurious, so all the space.
Absolutely recommended this hotel and as soon as we are in Maastricht we will definitely come back here.

Great staff and awesome location. Grand design, but sad to experience some flaws in housekeeping and service for loyal members of SPG.

Stay in a monastery. The austere interior has been much improved since those guys left the building.

Possibly one of the most beautiful hotels in the world. Built in a church. In the possession of the van Oostwegel family who once also received the privilege of receiving former President Bush Jr. at another location. Exceptional lighting design.

Top hotel, top food and in the middle of Maastricht.

Wonderful experience in a nice hotel. And nice and close to all the nice places to visit.

Very friendly staff and we are having dinner and the very high church ceiling is very impressive together with the long glass windows. We chose 4 course dinner all were delicious and the service was very good

Bar in a former monastery. Elegant and unique, great selection of drinks.

Did not go in here. Very chic and expensive. Has been a church before. King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima slept here once when they were in Maastricht. A beautiful copper entrance and is close to the center.

Grandiose cuisine in a hip location with a young, friendly and very professional team.

Beautiful location for a hotel. The entrance / lobby and restaurant are overwhelming. The rooms themselves are a bit disappointing. Nice and spacious but I stayed in much nicer rooms for much less money. They call it design themselves, but apart from a large (Gispen?) Lamp and a strange garden gnome as a table, I can discover little design.
But the location makes everything right.

Great to eat. Great to spend the night. Top location. Words fail me. Highly recommended in a special environment.

The design is wonderful and breathtaking. I hope to stay there one day but it's worth going there just to have a drink. Remember to check the bathrooms, they have some funky decorations I don't want to spoil for you ;-)

Inner court is an insult to the rest if the builing and what it stands for. Take the elevator behind the reception and have a wine in the bar. Enjoy it, don't just look at it.

What a unique hotel this is, a must see must stay! It is also a 5-minute walk from the city center. Rooms are nice with good beds. This is really recommended.

Very nice, extravagant, exclusive cafe in the heart of a former monastery church IN MAASTRICHT. Good coffee, good hot chocolate, good espresso macchiato in an extravagant atmosphere. Art exhibition incl.

Just fine. But coffee not so tasty, noisy room and not very warmly decorated. Belongs to the idea of a monastery.

Excellent hotel in old monastery. Top class food and accommodation. Ideal base for Andre Rieu concert.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful, Limburg hospitality squared! The five course menu in the restaurant was simply fantastic. Again an excellent service, friendly, surprising dishes and perfectly matching wines.
The dessert based on passion fruit and white chocolate with a matching wine a Sauternes was great!

Do you like wine and do you want to do that in an exclusive place, the wine bar of this hotel is a unique location.

Beautiful hotel. We come here once in a while. We recently came in alone and (I also look like a student) were initially looked away a bit. Beautiful garden, artistic rooms.

Nice and separate hotel, close to the center. Good service, good breakfast for me if you ordered your fried egg separately. We have not dined or lunched there so no judgment.

Has good service & food, rooms are good size but arranged too tight for ease of movement. Couch dowdy. No shower cap or vanity items supplied. 4 star max.

Heb er nooit geslapen maar de manier waarop dit historisch klooster met kerk omgetoverd Is tot een luxe hotel met restaurant en bar is smaakvol, midern en toch met veel respect voor historie gedaan.
Tip: bezoek ook boekhandel Dominicanen (op 5 minuten lopen), waar een historische kerk een moderne boekhandel en koffietent werd.

A good glass of wine with Livarham and other delicacies and that on the altar of the church ... Unique!

This former monastery creates a wonderful atmosphere. The rooms are nice and clean! To emphasize the gastronomy: great breakfast buffet and very high-quality dinner!

Fantastic experience to be pampered here for a few days.

I arrived after 1am to the stunning copper doorway and was greeted with a smile by the night reception. Upon entering, the building had me speechless. He quickly checked me in and informed me that the valet will park my car in the morning. He helped me and my luggage to the room and bid me goodnight. In the morning I got up to move my car, as the only spot I could find was a 5 minute walk away. The morning receptionist greeted me with a smile and said we ve already had it parked. I laughed, and she continued to tell me that she, along with the valet searched the cameras, and the city to find my car so I didn t get a parking fine. Wow! That is great service. Completely relaxed, I sat down to enjoy my breakfast in one of the most beautiful places I ve been so far. Great hotel, nice renovation! A star deduction because of small uncleanliness! Found in bathtub spider and blood stripe on the edge! Otherwise, the hotel is very nice and admirable, the monastery is very well renovated!

Very nice hotel. Super friendly staff. Nice and quiet drink in the courtyard just really unwind! The breakfast is very well cared for and in a very nice place.

I just saw a drink in the bar, but the interior is beautiful and the staff very friendly. I want one day to come back to stay there.

Good food and exceptional building & location for a hotel & restaurant.

Beautiful hotel and the staff were polite and very helpful - highly recommended.

High level hotel with many little discrepancies. Hotel guests have z.b. only access to the restaurant, if a table was previously reserved. A reservation is not for everyone, if you can only consume a menu. A la carte is not offered. A table reservation for breakfast, z.b. for a birthday party was only possible after intensive discussions. Some of the rooms were not addressed, but at least in the form of a bottle of champagne was paid. In short, this house is suitable for a day visit, not least wg. of impressive architecture and design, but certainly not for a multi-day stay.

At least you should drink a beer or a coffee in the bar. Laura and Lutz

Incredibly beautiful converted church. Very modern entrance. Nice mix of religious images and modern art. Nice to drink. Huge selection of wines and, for example, types of tea. Just drank something. Neat friendly service. Space is really recommended

Beautiful hotel in a very central location, everything is within walking distance. Decor is beautiful and there is a lot of art to see. Restaurant feels a bit chilly, but that is more due to compliance with the Corona measures, than the ambiance. You see this in almost all hotels. Service and quality of the dishes are in good order.
