We used a delicious lunch here. Particularly beautiful use of an old church building.

Tja... und da sollte man die Erwartungen an die Zimmer nicht so hoch ansetzen...

Very special hotel. Very beautiful buildings and luxurious rooms. Service is good. Valet parking is pricey and my car was still at the door after hours. Grvouw has lots of beautiful art. Operation of the bar is cheerful and very friendly.

Een weekend verblijf (14/15 juli) samen met mijn dochter in het Kruisherenhotel. Heerlijk weeken gehad in het hotel. Vriendelijke bediening, heerlijk gedinerd in het prachtig restaurant. Het hotel is in een klooster gevestigd. Een verblijf in dit hotel is aan te bevelen. Mijn dochter en haar partner hebben eerder overigens ook genoten van een verblijf in chateau gerlach. Dit hotel is eveneens aan te bevelen. Beide hotels zijn.van dezelde eigenaar.

A very special and beautiful restaurant, I like the quiet and relaxed feeling here, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is good, and the staff is good. Part of the room has not lived yet, try it next time!!

Unfortunately a disappointing experience. Dirty bathroom with hair from previous guests on the floor. Also in the room where our children slept. The rooms below the ridge are laid out bizarre. The breakfast is below standard. The price / quality ratio is lost. Very expensive. 24 euros per person for breakfast is disproportionate, certainly because there is a lot of old, packaged stuff. The welcome is decent and the treatment is what you can expect but the business operations of the hotel may be recalibrated. Four stars is so too much.

If you're looking for a boutique hotel, this is definitely boutique. Adapted from a church, this hotel has many unique features, including its floating dining area, built to sit high in the space of the nave. Many fine details have been retained from the hotel's former ecclesiastical life with fading paint and decorations visible on the walls and high on the vaulted ceiling above. The whole effect is quiet impressive.
Entering the hotel is via a funnelled conduit beacon of polished copper that glows and reflects warmly, juxtaposed against the rectilinear coolness of the stone exterior. Once inside, the shell of the church is visible and interestingly counterpointed by various modern artworks, furniture and architectural devices.
The rooms have a different artwork or wall-papering that can impart a completely different feel to each. Some rooms take advantage of the extra decorative effect of the gothic-arched windows.
The beds are excellent and the location, although quite central, quiet and conducive to a good night's sleep.
The breakfast buffet is excellent with a very high standard of fresh and nutritious fare - as well as a good selection of pastries, tarts and cakes.
The restaurant offers what appears to be excellent food, although I ate out every night, so I can't comment beyond observations of the interesting combinations listed on the menu.
The bar provides quality and the design sequesters you away in a cosy, warm and intimate cocoon away from outside goings-on.

Fantastic hotel in a historic packaging. Nice and caring employees. Great rooms where the curtains darken well. Nice bathroom with separate toilet.
Furthermore, a very extensive breakfast. Recommended.

Everything is right at this hotel. Location in the city in a nice quiet location, reception, service, breakfast, room / suite. And all that in a church. Great interior architecture. Tasteful and impressive. Employees give you a lot of personal attention and are well trained (hotel school in the city). The regular address when we are back in Maastricht. Great compliment.
