Clean, clean, clean with friendly helpful staff and tasteful food choices in both restaurant and deli.

Broke even at the slots food and service is good. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

My bridal party and I recently spent the morning of my wedding at the Kootenai day spa. I could not have asked for a better experience. With 10 girls all having a couple different services, the staff kept us on track and on time without it ever feeling rushed or stressful. I sipped on mimosas, ate cheese and crackers and felt totally pampered. Every one of my friends came back to the room after their service totally happy with it. Pam, the manager, along with her awesome staff went above and beyond to make my day so easy and so fun.

Really nice hotel, staff was amazing and the restaurant was really good.

The hotel is a 4/5 but the spa makes my answer a 1/5 ,I went an had my eyebrows waxed there last week, they took over a third of my eyebrows off an now I can t even look at myself without my eyebrows filled in because I look disgusting other wise. Don t recommend the spa.

We stayed on the older side of the hotel but it has all been remodeled had a beautiful view of the river and a very spacious comfortable room

Hotel was good but our son forgot his dirty clothes bag with just about all of his clothing and realized it when we made it home 9 hours later, so we called the hotel and they were very helpful and paid for half of the shipping great customer service, thank you

The casino no longer allows people that are together to play together. AVOID THIS CASINO. They have every 2 machines close and I am not allowed to share a game like all the other area casino allow.

Aside from the road construction, the Kootenai River Inn was simple to find. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. The casino was clean as well. For my wife and I, it was really nice to have a dedicated non smoking casino room.

The hotel is well located next to the river with nice view from almost every room. The lounge was great and they have a nice swimming pool. If I have to say something is that the room are not to easy to get to.

The gaming is great, 3 large rooms with tones of slots. One of the rooms is smoke free and they designated several slots as Canadian currant only. The facility offers free soda pop 24/7. The restaurant overlooks the beautiful Kootenai River. There are several areas to just sit and relax in several placed next to a comfy cozy fireplace, very intament.

Staff was great. It's not a super fansy place. Smoking and non smoking casino sections. The free breakfast was quite good. The beds were really hard.. for me that was really the only down point.

Nice hotel. Our room was beautiful. We even had a nice view from a standard room. Comfy bed. The casino is small. Really great service. The restaurant had great food! The town itself is quaint and cute. The restaurant has a nice view. The pool area was really crowded with lots of kids and the hot tub was Luke warm but I still enjoyed my soak. Would recommend for a nice weekend getaway.

Housekeeping stole my phone charger. I inquired about it and power trip manager said her team would never do that. But in all reality, that is the only possibility. So disrespectful and entitled to free items.
Do it again and we'll have a lawsuit.

River-facing rooms have a semi private balcony and a nice view. Rooms are fairly modern, clean and everything was in working order. I wish the room had a bathtub. Pool and hot tub are nice, but busy. The restaurant is good, affordable and the food portions are huge. Gigantic desserts! We always end up taking leftovers to the room. The casino is fun and has games that accept Canadian money. Sign up for a free membership to get points for free draws and bonuses. There s complimentary coffee & pop while you play. The cigarette smoke from the casino can be smelled into the hotel area. We like to stay here for one night, as there aren t a lot of things to do.

My husband and I always enjoy staying here and they allow our dog to stay in the room with us. Rooms are nice in size.
However, they need to have more rooms with bath tubs instead of "shower only" rooms.
The staff are very pleasant and courteous.

We had a good stay. The shower had mold. The service was excellent. They offered to give me a corkscrew in the restaurant for my personal wine bottle.

Fun little place to play slots for a couple of hours. Decent luck here.

Amazing place friendly staff just a wonderful time there

Visited this casino on New Years Day 2019. As a previous guest who had no issues exchanging canadian$ to US to gamble with was stunned by the NEW policy (they insisted that this was a long term thing but we had not experienced this in July 2018) of only exchanging $250 canadian. They then proceeded to tell us that as long as we were using that money in the casino for gaming we would be able to exchange again. So my wife and I each made an exchange and proceeded to buy a couple rounds of drinks and gamble for a while. We lost our stakes and I went to get more. I was told quite firmly that i had not been playing enough to qualify for further exchange. I HAD NOT LEFT THE FLOOR AND USED ALL MY CASH ON MACHINES!!! After discussing with the teller a while, I got angry and asked for a manager who was equally unhelpful, would not even entertain any idea that they may be incorrect or that they would correct their mistake. Essentially, this is a casino that is not friendly to canadian guests and should be avoided by canadians. I wish i could give less than one star, however this is the lowest I can give. Other than the very friendly girl in the cash cage, the management at this place have little idea how to handle a customer service complaint, and only inflamed the issue with the way they handled it. EPIC FAIL

Best 2 day get away! Price of room was amazing, restaurant was very good and prices all around are fantastic. Homemade tomato soup it awesome.

So I'm Reading the reviews and wondering why they are so positive... I mean the room in the lodge side are clean and comfortable, but my room has a funky smell of animal (cat) urine! The staff brought in some mango spray, did not help! Cant wait to get out of here! the shower is so soft it takes forever to rinse! To turn on the shower its behind a glass door, so your blasted with cold water before you even are ready to enter the shower. The toilet shower room is so small you cant even properly dry off, very poor design! The room echoes. But to be honest I have stay in much better hotels for way less money!

Our Riverview room had a breath taking view. Our rooms cleanliness was great. The toiletries and shower was spa like quality. The king bed was also very comfortable. We had a pleasant experience at the resturant, definetly would recommend the cheese cake, it's huge and so delicious. Breakfast was also delicious. The staff was very welcoming throughout the casino and hotel.

For the price you would expect more.

Pluses:

Cons:
No elevator to third floor
Deck ruined because adjoining rooms AC blows hot exhaust directly onto your deck where you might sit
No free electrical outlets between beds. My wife has a sound machine that she uses for sleep and there is no outlet for it. Also couldn't plug in my laptop while trip planning in bed.
TV is dated no side hdmi for streaming
A little pricey

Try the huckleberry pancakes special you won't be sorry for the price they are filled with berries

Hotel rooms were beautiful. Very nicely updated with beautiful views of the Kootenai river right outside the balcony. Don't recommend the first floor. The guests above us were very loud until 3am. Other than that was a great place to stay!

Enjoyed our stay here, nice rooms and pool, and the food from The Springs restaurant was delicious.

Lost our confirmed reservation. I went to spa to book $109 special. I was not available for the 3 days I booked in for. But only regular spa rate was available to book?????could have argued, my wife booked northern quest on her phone in 30 seconds.

Room beautiful and restaurant wonderful, BUT impossible to get a drink in the casino (had to ask three times and got a mini $6 drink, also they started to vaccum around me at 8:30 so I went to bed!

We stayed in their "discount lodge". The prices were discount, but the room was not. Very cozy and spacious room with everything you expect from a decent hotel. The only letdown of the stay was the restaurant that has taken a nosedive in the 20 years since our poor-too-young-to-get-married honeymoon. The restaurant will get a separate lousy review.

One the most pleasant hotel I have been too in a long time... staff went beyond there way to acknowledge you.

We went and I got a drink from the bar in the restaurant, the bar tender was extreaty rude to my husband and then didn't even stay to take payment for my drink. We went to the casino area and enjoyed our time there, it's a very easy going casino, not too busy and the game are fun. They also have machines that take Canadian, and accept Canadian currency for the good available. We had fun despite the bar tender.

What a great stay! Loved the ambiance! The room was wonderful- very clean & the bed was super comfy! The staff was terrific & the food was delicious!

My mother in law treated me to a girls day out and brought us to the diner for lunch then to the spa for some amazing relaxing time! Their food was amazing at their restaurant. Service was prompt and friendly.
Their spa was very welcoming and relaxing. Id never been to a spa prior and they were very helpful with what to do and what to expect. This will be my go to place whenever I visit :)

Nice facility, great staff, I actually made money at the casino. Morning breakfast very good. Absolutely great stay. Am on business when in the area. It's best place to stay I've found. Even the "dog allowed" room was without problems -no smells, no stains.

Our room was a great size, clean, and comfy. Staff was friendly. Pool was clean, we swam for hours. The layout is odd, we had trouble finding the lobby and we heard trains all night long. Otherwise a great place to stay.
