It's hard to rate this hotel because the hotel was overcrowded and we stayed without the room we booked. A timid start to the beginning of our weekend break. However, Respa arranged us for another hotel that I would have thought was a better option! Because of this experience, we will go directly to another hotel in the future.

Nice and comfortably furnished, in the evening quiet rooms.
Rezeptionist * inside very friendly and endeavored. Speak all perfect English.
The location of the hotel is great. You sleep almost directly in front of the tram station, which brings you directly to where you want to go. Important tip: It is best to buy the Helsiki ticket directly at the reception. With it you can drive with everything for free.
Great breakfast with great selection of common but also Finnish specialties.
The hotel also respects some environmental aspects, but as a guest actually nothing is noticeable.
So, a quiet, comfortable hotel with great location and good breakfast.
Clear recommendation!

I've trusted that they are listed as SPG group membership hotel. Turns out, only thing I enjoyed about this hotel is the location. Hotel room wasn't stylish as the photo showed and the furniture was old. Staff wasn't professionally trained and therefore appeared to be quite rude. Unfortunately, I wouldn't go back as there are number of great options in Helsinki to choose from.

Expectations were high when we booked two nights at this much talked about hotel. I had heard a rave speech about this place, but I have to admit that the hotel didn t live up to my expectations. Just like any Sokos Hotel. Or really, my recent experiences at Sokos Hotels have been better than my experiences at Klaus K.

Intense perfumes punched in the face right in the resp. In the corridors, some odor of the chemical was even stronger. Maybe the carpet had been treated with some substance? As a fragrance hypersensitive, I wonder if I could even stay at this hotel. Luckily, the smell in the room wasn t that intense, so I was able to stay. If you suffer from severe perfume hypersensitivity, I cannot recommend this hotel!

We stayed for two nights. The cleaner came to visit the door late Saturday afternoon. I wasn t without cleaning, but clean wine glasses would have been a nice thing. We drank from the same wine glasses on Friday and Saturday.

The breakfast room was very small and the food around the room. On Sunday we had to wait first for the table to be released and then for a while also the waitress to clean the dishes and juices left by the previous diner on the table.

Klaus K is not a bad hotel. Klaus K is just an ordinary mid-range hotel.

I think you're my new Starwood choice in Helsinki. Great location. I liked my sky loft room and really enjoyed your breakfast buffet. I didn't try the gym because I was running outside instead but I will next time. Toskanini was closed but the food you provided in the lobby bar was very good.

I wanted to borrow a wine opener but I did not lend it. Until now, there was no such hotel. Wi-Fi has lost connection. I think this is also a problem on the hotel side. I chose the marriott group but I did not have the marriott gold benefits

5/10
I did not know that I was not allowed to drink the wine I brought in the room. I will correct the comment. I'm sorry.
Breakfast was very delicious!

I loved this small, warm and friendly little boutique hotel. So much better than the large cookie-cutter brands.
Perfectly located on Bulevardi close to many cool places to eat, coffee shops, bars and shops.
The tram stops right across the road.
Highly recommended.

For the first time, I was not entirely happy with our visit to your hotel. The overall appearance / cleanliness of the room did not meet expectations or the usual level in your hotel. We stayed in a King Room where an extra bed for a child had been booked. The third person staying in the room was not taken into account in any other way. For example, there were only two glasses of water, there were no bathrobes or slippers for the children as in many other hotels. I asked for a glass of water in the room, but the next moment the cleaner had taken it away. Toilet paper also ran out. A roller blind had fallen off one of the windows in the room and had not been repaired, when I pointed out, two pillowcases were taped to the window, which, however, did not cover the entire window.
Breakfast was in chaos, the tables were dirty and the staff was constantly quarreling with each other. There really was no room to go to eat and no one offered to help find the table. The other morning in the lobby there was a person with sea buckthorns who did not pay attention to us in any way, on the contrary looked towards but suddenly turned his back as we walked towards. Getting into the hotel at night was also difficult even though there was a prompt on the wall to press the button properly and for a long time so still it didn t want to work and it took a long time to get in. It had more people trying at the same time. If it is known to be awkward, it would certainly be worth doing something about it.
When I asked for more blanket in the room, it was brought in a reasonable amount of time and when I asked for a later handover of the room we smoothly got an extra hour. It left a good mood.

Fancy, not comfortable.

Fancy, not comfortable.
Decent hotel with non of the comforts of its category. They didn't even provide a comb or toothbrush. Ok if you are looking for a bed and some space but definitely not 4 stars category

good

Liked the location! And from the train station is not far away, and you can walk along the central part of the city right from the hotel s threshold. Cozy hotel. Polite and helpful staff.

I've stayed here twice, and I love this hotel. It has great decor and pleasant staff. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The balcony room I stayed in had a wonderful view of Helsinki too. The breakfast is also really good. Great, quiet location.

Great; food, atmosphere, skilled employees, location and interior people flow design, beds in the rooms.

Could be better: too worn out aisles and room surroundings, roll down blinds of metal bash the window frames if a window is opened (disturb sleeping), light conditio s in the room (I need decent light to work with. The light sources in the room do not offer great working conditions).

Overall score close to 4.

This hotel really ticks all the boxes when you are travelling for business. It's clean, quiet, well designed, in a good location, has friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. I would highly recommend it.

I really want to give this hotel a good review, ho...

I really want to give this hotel a good review, however, there were certain areas that fall short and perhaps can further improve :

- hotel is dated. The initial room - 408 that was assigned to me based on what I booked was small with 2 single matress pushed together to form a double bed.
- It was a warm week in Helsinki and the room felt stuffy when I first entered and even with the A/C on to the maximum, it still felt like the room has no ventilation. Perhaps, Helsinki is always cold and that's why the A/C works differently? However, it was comfortable in the middle of the night when all the heat has dissipated.
- The first room 408 that I was first assigned to also did not have any kettle to boil water for tea. There were no cups, no tea bags or coffee in the room either. I am not sure if this was an oversight or the room of the category I booked just did not come with it? In the end, I have to request for it and the staff brought it in promptly.
- Room 408 only has one ottoman to sit on. There were 2 of us and that means no proper chair for either of us to sit except on the bed or the ottoman. I did also request for an additional chair to be brought in and the staff brought in for us very quickly as well.
- Phone in the room 408 was not working, There was no dial tone even though it was plugged in. Staff could not identify the problem as well and told me they would file a work order. That means each time I have to go down to the front desk and ask for something like the kettle, the chair...
-Room408 just felt very dusty to me. I also did not like the felt / dark chocolate / black fabric upholstered headboard with the dark frame. It looks very old and dirty, but that was just my perception, A lighter color wouldl be ideal. Maybe it was an older hotel that needed some renovation.
- Room 408 has skewer sticks and hairs on the floor...
- I finally paid a small fee to change to a slightly bigger room. It was definetly more spacious with a proper table and arm chairs/chair. Room seems cleaner and was now equipped with kettle, cups and teabags. Water was provided daily as SPG members. The double bed is a proper bed and not a combination of 2 mattresses. However, the A/C system was the same as previous room and also the decorations of the headboard and the curtain closet....

The staff were very helpful, very polite and nice. They did the best they can and I truly appreciate it.

Location of the hotel was excellent, walking distance to almost everything, Train station, pier, shopping, tourist attractions, supermarket, and lots of lunch buffet options....

I was later told that this was not really a Starwood Hotel but rather a partner with Starwood. This was after I explained the reasons why I wanted to switch room because the standard just fall short of a regular Starwood property

Great room, great service. We are extremely pleased. We didn't find anything bad. Only a queen bed quilt caused a bit of an annoyance, while we would rather sleep with separate blankets than a common blanket. And the pillows would have been tougher, they slipped to nothing.

Considering the price point one would expect more from Klaus K. The overall impression is a worn down, slightly neglected hotel in need of a fresh up. Leaking sinks, loose wall mountings and worn floors give the impression noone really cared about the state of the hotel since its opening 10+ years ago. The blocked sink and the empty wine bottle in the second room - the one we moved to after discovering the leaking sink - didn't help.
On the plus side: Quiet rooms, central location and friendly staff.

We came with the wife to celebrate the 5th anniversary and we had booked a better than average room. When we got into the room, the wife noticed the impurity of the bed immediately. We told it and reacted immediately. Because the response to the feedback was immediate and professional, the hotel stayed in a good mood. We said that, thanks to the staff, we will definitely continue to use Klaus K's services. Customer Service Experience 10+.

This hotel is very nice. You need to know that the rooms are small. There are some things that you may not prefer. The water in the shower has hot and cold and when my arm touched the side that was hot, I burned my arm. The hotel does not have soap. They have body wash. I didn't have soap to wash my face. There are few plugs in the hotel, so when I wanted to plug my computer, tablet and phone, it decision time. The minibar desk is full and you really can't put anything on it. The closet is REALLY small. I was there for just a couple of days and found it difficult to keep organized. If I were traveling with someone, it would not be comfortable. Other than that, the lobby is nice, the staff is pleasant and it looks fresh and inviting. If these are not deal breakers for you, you'll be fine. They are quite nicely located and have a lovely Italian restaurant street side.

While the hotel and the staff were nice, my room was not. Firstly, the A/C basically didn't work. The staff was nice enough to unlock the window for me, but apparently, they do construction overnight right outside the hotel. Additionally, the bed and pillows were not that comfortable. I really wanted to like the hotel but would have a hard time recommending it.

I was very positively surprised about the hotel on arrival. It is modern and nicely decorated. The staff at the reception were very welcoming, warm and friendly. The room of course was small, but it's Europe and that's the category I booked. The breakfast was delicious and the bar very cosy, so was the Italian restaurant. The one thing that really stood out for me at Klaus was the people. Every single staff member I encountered was professional, friendly and had a great personality which is not easy to find in a hotel. Being in the hotel industry myself, I really appreciated this part. Unfortunately I could only stay with one night as I decided to spend my 2nd night at Sokos, which was a mistake, but next time I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you!

Convenient location but overpriced, they focus too much on design and too little on comfort. The bed is uncomfortable, the bathroom is tiny and inconvenient, and there was dust and hairs on the floor. Be aware that the room price is excl. breakfast and breakfast is 20 EUR.

A good hotel at a great location. Trying to be a bit more upscale than it manage to pull off. Meeting venue are well equipped but the old building makes for rather small rooms with low amount of possible daylight. (Small windows)

Food is good and meet expectations, not more. Nice rooms of a good enough size.

We had a good time in the Klaus K. The hotel is nice and interesting. We had an excellent breakfast. The location is unbelievable, close to everything. We did everything on foot. I really recommend this hotel for everyone.

Thank you for the wakeup service, not! Is it really that difficult to keep up your service values? Messed up the entire morning, had no breakfast, just a really bad start into a nice sunny day.
